Italian election, 1861
editHi DonCalo, I'm writing to you because I noticed that you edited lot of pages about Italian politic in the 19th century, and I have a question for you. In the Italian general election, 1861, should we keep Mazzini as the de facto leader of the Extreme left-wing? According to you, he was the leader of the Action Party (Italy, 1848) or The Extreme? And which of the two should we use in the article? Thanks -- Nick.mon (talk) 15:46, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- Good question, but unfortunately I don't know the answer. Seems to me that both The Extreme and the Action Party are wrong. The Extreme did not really exist at the time and the Action Party did not participate as such in the elections. Needs some research ... - DonCalo (talk) 16:08, 3 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer, I sincerly don't know which party partecipated to the election. Maybe some other users will know it, but the users who edit articles concerning the Italian politics of the 19th century are very few... -- Nick.mon (talk) 16:52, 3 January 2017 (UTC)

Giosue Gallucci GA nomination
editHello, DonCalo. I've been looking for an article to do my first GA review on. Since I already have some knowledge about the early history of organized crime in the U.S., I thought the Gallucci article might be a good place to start. However, I've noticed that you haven't edited in a month or so and I didn't want to start a review without you available. If you'd like me to review the article, please leave me a message on my Talk page. If you'd like you can see my first (and only) GA article, Bixby letter and Nicola Schiro, an article I've edited with the closest resemblance to the Gallucci article. Identity of Soldier in Photograph ?
editHi my name is Stephen and while tracing my Wife's father through the War we have come across your entry in Wikipedia. The link has a Photograph of Castellano (in civilian) shaking hands with Eisenhower after the signing of the Armistice between Italy and Allied armed forces in Cassibile on September 8, 1943,do you know the Chaps Identity standing to the Left of Castellano as we have a rather nice story to go with this as we believe he is My wife's Father Norman Woolley https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Castellano

Replaceable fair use File:Pupetta.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Pupetta.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:50, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Bontade murder.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Bontade murder.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
