Hello, I received a notification from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:AP_(Thailand)_Public_Company_Limited Let me talk to you about an article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments that I added to the English language page. Because I think it deserves to be there. Because I have a friend who is from a foreign country. Come find information about this item. But no English So I made it for people to find information. I may have made a mistake somewhere. But I didn't intend it to be like that. Because I still don't understand some points and I'm not an expert. Could you please advise what I should do? 58.137.32.194 (talk) 08:43, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

You must disclose your paid-editing status, per WP:PAID. That is the only thing I have requested regarding this draft, as I haven't reviewed the draft itself or taken any other action related to it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:59, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Question from E11e99 (16:43, 21 May 2024)

Hi - I just discovered I have a mentor ;)

I am wondering why the different pages about countries in WP do not have any kind of common structure - I would like to propose one - however that information does not fit here - what can I do?

Thank you for your time and your guidance --e11e99 (talk) 16:43, 21 May 2024 (UTC)

@E11e99: hello mentee! :)
As you may know already, Wikipedia has 'WikiProjects', which are basically groups of editors sharing an interest in particular topics. Your question sounds like it would come under Wikipedia:WikiProject Countries, whose project home page says they "help develop country-related pages (of all types) and works toward standardizing the formats of sets and types of country-related pages". Perhaps you could go over there and suggest this on their talk page, to see what sort of response you get?
HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:22, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
thank you!...yes that sounds perfect 😁
I also need help with something else if you don't mind 😅 because I just blooped...I thought I was creating a draft article however I accidentally published it thinking that it would save it or confirm, instead it published directly and I don't have time to finish it now so I deleted it - now I think I have messed things up and the subject will show people a blank page? Not sure how to fix it... e11e99 (talk) 18:40, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
@E11e99: can you provide a link to the page you're talking about? You can't delete a page, only an administrator can do that. If you mean you've deleted (ie. blanked) the contents, then that can always be reverted. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Yes - I blanked it because it is not ready for publication and I mistakenly published it thinking it was a two-step process. I think you can find it here: Alternative mining indaba e11e99 (talk) 17:35, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

The Great British Sewing Bee Series 10

The new series has just started, can you re-submit & I found a new reliable source please? Awise1203 (talk) 09:48, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

@Awise1203: this draft has been rejected, which normally means it won't be considered further at this time. If you now have sources which weren't available before and which you believe establish notability, you may make an appeal directly to the reviewer who rejected it, namely CanonNi. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:09, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

The Great British Sewing Bee Series 10 appeal

CanonNi said you should appeal it, can you please? Awise1203 (talk) 14:44, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

@Awise1203: why should I appeal it? Indeed, why would I? I've no horse running in this race. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:51, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Draft: The Grove, Harrow School

Hi DoubleGrazing,

I improved this article you have reviewed before significantly now, with many secondary sources and hopefully it should be ready to go into the article space. Could you review it again possibly? I am confident this time it meets the notability criteria as there is much more about the building. Thanks a lot. Daftation 🗩 🖉 19:21, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Why would you do that?

Hello, I am Sam. I noticed that you have declined an article, Y000, but there is already a source that could be reliable. If you do not think that All About Japanese Trains is a reliable source, it could be because you had not read the the Japanese version. Please look into this matter and take even more necessary action. Thank you. Sam (talk) 09:58, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Having an article in the Japanese Wikipedia is irrelevant, each countries encyclopaedia has very different inclusion criteria, the single source does not appear to be reliable, please find better sources. Theroadislong (talk) 10:13, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
@SAMCOcreator1655: I suggest you revise our notability guidelines. A single source is nowhere near enough to satisfy WP:GNG, especially when that source is little more than some trainspotter's private blog. And no, I haven't read the ja.wiki article, nor do I have to, because that's not what I was reviewing; I was reviewing Draft:Yokohama Minatomirai Railway Y000 series. If you wish to rely on sources in the ja.wiki article, you'll have to cite them in this draft. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:17, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
@DoubleGrazing Oh, thank you for telling me that. I appreciate your patience on relying on sources in the Japanese article and therefore citing them in the draft. Sam (talk) 10:46, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Now, I had added three more sources from the Japanese version to the English article, can you please look at it again? Sam (talk) 12:38, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

WP:Articles for deletion/Kourage Beatz

Hi DoubleGrazing!

I owe you an apology for rejecting your call to SALT the Kourage Beatz page. As you correctly predicted, it has become a target for recreation attempts. Mea culpa. Owen× 19:44, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

Haha, not at all, @OwenX, and there are of course advantages to leaving a title unsalted to see who comes sniffing around next. :) Cheers, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:50, 25 May 2024 (UTC)

The only others I see involved with the Kourage Beatz page are Greybliss, who interacted on this page, and an anon IP from Nigeria. Owen× 14:04, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
I've lost count of at how many titles this has been attempted, with different permutations and combinations of Tochi, Kourage, NSI, etc. I guess at some point they must run out of possibilities, but it may be after my time. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:18, 26 May 2024 (UTC)

TIME's women of the year

Hey, I hope you’re well. I want to know that is this award can make a person notable as per WP:ANYBIO? Is “TIME's women of the year Award” a well-known and significant award to make a person notable? GrabUp - Talk 11:33, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Grabup: interesting question. Per this, only three women were granted that title, and they certainly are all hugely notable, not because they got the title, but because who they are. Without knowing who you're referring to, I would expect her to have done something significant enough to both make her notable and earn her the title. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:40, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
I am reffering to this draft. GrabUp - Talk 11:41, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
The person is failing WP:GNG but I though maybe this award can make her notable. GrabUp - Talk 11:42, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Ah, okay. That seems to be different altogether, apparently TIME awards this every year to 12 women, which obviously makes it much less exclusive. And Admi doesn't even get one of the places to herself, she shares it with another person. I probably wouldn't rely on that alone to accept it, but then I have quite a high pass threshold. Going back to basics, you need to try to judge whether the draft would survive an AfD, and I'm sure some would argue there that this award meets ANYBIO. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:51, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the information, that’s what I also thought. GrabUp - Talk 11:52, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

Early Echoic Skills Assessment - Question on draft!

Hey DoubleGrazing,

Thanks for taking your time to review my article Draft:Early Echoic Skills Assessment. If you could let me know what else you think I need on this page as I've gone through and added more references to studies/usage of this assessment in clinical environments. It's my first time editting/creating an article. I've sat with a lot of editors after the initial review and they suggested along with others to reach out to you directly for some more feedback!

Thanks,

Draft_talk:El_Paso_Chamber

DoubleGrazing,
I've read your advice about declines ("If I declined your draft at AfC, and you came to ask me to re-review it, please don't [unless I expressly said you could]"). As that doesn't appear to be the standard approach advised by Wikipedia, I very respectively invite you and any others to continue discussion at Draft_talk:El_Paso_Chamber. Unless I'm mistaken, this appears to be the advised procedure to follow before proposing declines or deletions of pages for reasons of notability re: WP:NEXIST, WP:NPOSSIBLE. I have not yet further edited or resubmitted the draft, although I fully intend to so so. I'm seeking consensus on what to do next in accordance with the rules so as not to waste everyone's time.

friendly regards,
William

Draft about China dancing girl

Sorry, that's not the case. I didn't write this on Chinese Wikipedia. This is the situation. Because Geji's wiki needed to delete other content, it was asked to add subtitles. So the original content about Dancing Girl could only be transferred to the newly created wiki, but now that this wiki has been deleted, Geji's wiki can no longer add subtitles, and there is no way to fully explain the difference. 清风与明月 (talk) 10:29, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

Geji's wiki requires the creation of subheadings and the deletion of other content. So the Dancing Girl wiki was created. 清风与明月 (talk) 10:33, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Could you both please stop having this debate on my talk page, it has nothing to do with me, and it sends me an alert every time.

Question from Al Begamut (15:16, 3 June 2024)

Hi, Most often I visit Wikipedia on my mobile device. I have noticed that, when article text expressly refers to an associated image, it generally says something to the effect of "as seen at right" (see, e.g., Royal Game of Ur : Basic rules). While this may make sense when a page is viewed on a full-screen device like a computer, it's virtually never the case on a vertically oriented mobile screen. I should think that such statements should instead use more general terms, like "as seen in the associated image". However, I figure this matter must have been addressed and probably resolved somewhere already. Do you know where I can find any discussion or resolution of this issue? Thank you. --Al Begamut (talk) 15:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Al Begamut: I don't know, and I'm just about the worst person to ask, as I never use Wikipedia on a mobile (not if I can help it, at least). You might want to ask at the Teahouse or the Help desk instead. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:20, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
Great, this referral is all I needed for now. I've published my question there. Thanks! Al Begamut (talk) 15:25, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

Article regarding 207 Field Regiment

Sir, the article that you declined is of an organisation in which I currently am serving. What more reliable source shall I produce? GokulChristo (talk) 16:56, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

@GokulChristo (talk page watcher) Two points:
  1. Does this even look like an article. Please look at your work. This just won't do regardless of your lack of references
  2. We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS please. See WP:42. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact referred to, that meet these tough criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the topic is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
You have work to do. You have to prove that it passes WP:NORG 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 17:27, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

Lagerfeld

Hello, DoubleGrazing.

Hope you are well! Thank you for your detailed feedback on the Karl Lagerfeld (brand) draft. I understand that a full review of the draft will take time, but I did want to let you know that I responded to your request for 3-5 strong sources that focus specifically on the brand as a corporate entity. (There's no shortage of such examples.) Please let me know what you think and thanks again for your assistance here. MB for KARL LAGERFELD (talk) 09:55, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Hi @MB for KARL LAGERFELD: I've had a quick look (and it was only that; quick) at the five sources, and I would describe them all 'trivial' (see WP:ORGTRIV), ie. routine business reporting, and/or representatives from the business commenting on something (mainly their business) which means they're not independent. We're looking for someone writing about the company at length, and entirely on their own initiative without being prompted or incentivised in any way by the company, in reliable sources. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:50, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Keir Starmer legal career article draft

The draft page Legal career of Keir Starmer should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the bitchute video link was not even in the article. I tried to search for the link (https://www.bitchute.com/video/SJZEHE1h1jGH/) whilst editing the page but found no trace of it on the page. So this draft page should not be deleted due to a link that isn't even present on the article.

Starmer's political career has a sub-article (Labour Party leadership of Keir Starmer) so think a lot of the legal career section could be better served in a sub-article. It's been done elsewhere for politicians: Legal career of Hillary Clinton and Legal career of Mary Robinson. If there is enough coverage in reliable sources then I have no issue. Like Hillary Clinton, I think having a sub-article for Starmer's legal career would be for the best. 150.143.27.147 (talk) 13:42, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

I don't know what you mean by "because the bitchute video link was not even in the article". I didn't say it was. I'm saying that I ran copyvio detector on that draft, and its report shows that parts of the draft have been copypasted from that URL – you can see yourself the results here. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:54, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Question from User:42.98.180.79 about Draft:Truncated truncated tetrahedron

Why would User:DoubleGrazing report my page?42.98.180.79 (talk) 09:16, 14 June 2024 (UTC)

The reason why I edited 'your page' (which isn't actually 'your' page at all, in any sense of the word) is that you submitted it for review at AfC, where I review drafts. And the reason I rejected it is that it's not a viable draft for an encyclopaedia article.
Now, can you please stop messing with my talk page, as it sends me a notification with each edit. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:27, 14 June 2024 (UTC)
