Hey there. I saw you posting a test message to Brodie Greer. Generally, on Wikipedia we put test messages on talk pages so new users get the nice looking orange bar on their web browser.

I left a nice note for User talk:24.105.219.78. Go take a look, and thanks for patrolling the new pages of Wikipedia! --216.191.200.1 14:03, 5 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Good patrolling

edit

Thanks for helping reverse vandalism. This is the string I use when reversing:

Reverted edits by [[Special:Contributions/IP|IP]] to last version by USER

Replace IP with the vandal's IP and USER with the last good editor. This simulates the tag that admins get to do automatically and allows fellow patrollers to quickly get a list of all the contributions by the vandal to follow his "trail." Again, welcome to Wikipedia! Grika 15:03, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you marked the article for cleanup, what have you noticed about it that needs cleanup? Nikola 19:40, 13 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I think that the article needs to be cleaned up so that the pictures fit into it a little better. At the moment I dont think the article is large, or comprehensive enough, to justtify having so many pictures. (basically, I would like to draw attention to the article in hopes that someone will simply expand on the work as it is... maybe I should use the 'expand' template instead....?) For Business and Economics Wikiproject persons URGENT Please help

edit

The XXXXX page, (International Services Trade Information Agency, which focuses on globalization data, a new agency in Geneva, Switzerland, which is part of the Business and Economics Wikiproject topics is up for deletion because some administrator wanted to puruse a personal vendetta. Now they are calling it a conflict of interest, because I, as the Executive Director of this agency, wrote the page. There isn't anyone who can write this better than me. Even my staff aren't really that good at English. Please, can someone help back me up here? The page is going to be deleted by people who don't know anything about globalization statistics. It was originally marked for deletion by a man who I had an argument with about a human rights site.

I'm sorry to bother you, but I need people to act fast, please. Thanks. RTV-Right to Vanish 14:20, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Riana 16:45, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Riana 16:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{Afl-bio-1980s-stub}}

edit

Hi - a stub template or category which you created has been nominated for deletion or renaming at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type, which was not proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, does not meet the standard requirements for a stub type, either through being incorrectly named, ambiguously scoped, or through failure to meet standards relating to the current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:58, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

yeah sweet, no drama's. I only made the stub because I had trouble with remembering the difference between this one and AFL-bio-1980s-stub (note, it's only the capital letters that are different) Dupz 09:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Jeffrey-dahmer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:05, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Economics census

edit

Hello there. Sorry to bother you, but you are (titularly at least) a member of WP:WikiProject Economics, as defined by this category. If you don't know me, I'm a Wikipedia administrator, but an unqualified economist. I enjoy writing about economics, but I'm not very good at it, which is why I would like to support in any way I can the strong body of economists here on Wikipedia. I'm only bothering you because you are probably one of them. Together, I'd like us to establish the future direction of WikiProject Economics, but first, we need to know who we've got to help.

Whatever your area of expertise or level of qualification, if you're interested in helping with the WikiProject (even if only as part of a larger commitment to this wonderful online encyclopedia of ours), would you mind adding your signature to this page? It only takes a second. Thank you.

File source problem with File:NegativeExt.GIF

edit

Thank you for uploading File:NegativeExt.GIF. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Proposed deletion of File:Supply and demand table2.JPG

edit
Notice

The file File:Supply and demand table2.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 7 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
