Replaceable non-free use File:Jessica Alves.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jessica Alves.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 12:46, 10 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

stop Please do not upload copyright-protected images of living persons under a fair use rationale. Images of living persons cannot be claimed under fair use policy as they nearly always fail non-free content criteria number 1, specifically "No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose." As long as it is possible that there could be a free image of the subject available for use, or there could be one available in the future, then fair use cannot be claimed for the copyrighted images. Thank you,-- Ponyobons mots 23:08, 12 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Block notice

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ponyobons mots 18:03, 18 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
  • I would have simply blocked you from uploading files on this project, however you are also uploading copyright violations to Commons and adding those images to articles here, so a site-wide block is more appropriate to limit the disruption. You have also failed to acknowledge the concerns raised regarding your edits and communication is required on this project. If you will be appealing the block, please explain your understanding of Wikipedia's copyright policy in your unblock request.-- Ponyobons mots 18:03, 18 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 4.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 00:08, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Non-free images in lists/discographies; orphaned images

[edit]

Per WP:NFC#Multimedia, we do not permit the use of non-free album covers in discographies. As a result, I have removed 18 non-free album covers from Bonkers (compilation album series). This resulted in all of these images being "orphaned", meaning they are not used in any articles. Our non-free content criteria requires non-free images to be used in an article. Per section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, these images will be deleted in seven days if not used in an article. I have tagged these images for deletion per that criteria:

Request reason:

I understand I was blocked for multiple issues, including copyright violations and creating multiple accounts. I’ve taken time to read the relevant policies and now understand the importance of proper sourcing, licensing, and using only one account. I genuinely want to contribute constructively and respectfully, and I’d appreciate a chance to show I’ve learned from this.EJK2000 (talk) 15:11, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I think you should take the standard offer and re-apply in 6 months time with no more block evasion. PhilKnight (talk) 15:39, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I am requesting an unblock under the Standard Offer. My account has been blocked since mid‑2025, and I have not attempted to evade the block for more than six months. I understand that my previous uploads included copyrighted material that was not freely licensed, which did not meet Commons’ licensing requirements. I want to return to editing constructively and within policy. I am committed to avoiding the issues that led to my block and contributing responsibly. Thank you for considering this request. Please reply. EJK2000 (talk) 15:45, 25 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Per the standard offer, please wait a full six months before requesting an unblock. This means you may request an unblock on August 25, 2026. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:12, 28 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

EJK2000, you say you are requesting an unblock under the WP:OFFER and that you have not evaded your block for more than six months. However, you evaded your block, using the ElliotJK2000 account, less than four months ago. While four months vs. six months may seem like a bureaucratic thing, it's also a test of an editor's willingness to both understand and follow rules. An early unblock after being suggested to take the WP:OFFER and then invoking the WP:OFFER isn't typical, and would require an extremely compelling argument for it, most likely with some key mitigating factor. You falsely claim, below, you haven't done anything wrong. This is clearly false. Nor did you address your confirmed block evasion which put to rest any possibility you were acting in good faith. Yamla (talk) 10:28, 16 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I am not an administrator, but I note that an administrator, above, said the following: This means you may request an unblock on August 25, 2026. It is not yet August 2026. Don't do this; it makes your situation worse.

EJK2000, I agree with M kuhner. You already tried invoking the standard offer once far too early, and the editor who addressed the unblock request explicitly told you not to request an unblock until August. You should delete this unblock request (not the decliend ones!) and the comments replying to it before any action has been taken; it's the best chance that an administrator will not consider you ineligible to claim you followed the standard offer until November 10th. Request reason:

Your reason here I’ve been blocked for over a year and have not edited or attempted to evade during that time. I understand the issues that led to the block. If unblocked, I will follow policy carefully, discuss any contentious edits, and focus on constructive contributions.
I’m asking for a fresh start.
EJK2000 (talk) 07:57, 25 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Your reason here I’ve been blocked for over a year and have not edited or attempted to evade during that time. I understand the issues that led to the block. If unblocked, I will follow policy carefully, discuss any contentious edits, and focus on constructive contributions. :I’m asking for a fresh start. :[[User:EJK2000|EJK2000]] ([[User talk:EJK2000#top|talk]]) 07:57, 25 August 2026 (UTC) |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1=Your reason here I’ve been blocked for over a year and have not edited or attempted to evade during that time. I understand the issues that led to the block. If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:

{{unblock reviewed |1=Your reason here I’ve been blocked for over a year and have not edited or attempted to evade during that time. I understand the issues that led to the block.
