DGG ( talk ) 01:52, 7 March 2020 (UTC)A, this is one of the best referenced of your many articles on early films and actors. I've been accepting many of the others, though the references were a little marginal, because I thought they might pass afd .If you can expand the references of the others the way you have here, they will no longer be marginal. DGG ( talk ) 23:26, 8 March 2020 (UTC)please ememberto expand your references before you submit them.
Please, do not use a link to google books if all you;re doing is showing the existence of the book. Use a link to WorldCat, give the full publication information, and use the {{ISBN}| }} or {{OCLC}| }} template every time. If you're giving information based on a page that you saw in gbooks, that's something else, and you do need the link. , but I'd use the ISBN or OCLC ttemplate as well. Use the ISBN if available, the OCLC for older works where it may not be. And, as I think you know, the right isbn number to use is the longest one, if possible for the print edition. One is enough, though the system will take more.
And 'd like to ask you something else--you can email me to tell me this --where are you located? Is it near a major library with a performing arts collection.? If I were still working at NYPL I could help you with some of this, but I no longer have the time to go there. DGG ( talk ) 23:38, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

DGG ( talk ) 05:52, 9 March 2020 (UTC)some advice
I do not know what other reviewers will do, but I am not going to review any further articles of yours' until youclean up all of your previous submissions. Every book entry must show author, title, piblisher , date, and isbn as a minimum. No reference should be a bare url. Items obtained via JStor etc. must show this using the appropriate parameter of the cite book or cite journal template. If something is available both print and online, the information given should be sufficient for the reader to find it either way. WP:V is a basic principle, and readers must be able to verify the material.
Too much of what you are doing might not really stand up to challenge, and there is no point in doing further work that others will have to fix or defend.
I am extremely sympathetic to the work you are trying to do, especially the work on early films and actors.--possibly more so than any other reviewer here. I've gone out of the way to try to improve some of the material, more than I think any other reviewer would do. I know you tend to work this way, and presumably you find it natural, but I also know others have spoken to you about this many times before. . I almost never lose patience with a good faith editor; please do not make this one of the exceptions. DGG ( talk ) 06:05, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Stonier Graduate School of Banking
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Stonier Graduate School of Banking, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - I'm literally working on the article right now. Your rejection is unwarranted and improper. FloridaArmy (talk) 21:30, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- I second that. His subbmitting your draft to decline it is completely out of policy. It's questionable if that is even acceptable to do to reject a draft as a non notable subject. Barkeep49, this isn't the first problem I have had Sulfurboy viz. AFC. I think your review of his reviews might be appropriate. Notifying you per your role as leader of NPP. John from Idegon (talk) 21:50, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- John from Idegon, Rejecting FloridaArmy submissions due to improperly formatted GBooks submissions is something that the user has been warned about by multiple editors on multiple occasions on his talk page and project page and he has continued to do so. This rejection was not meant to interrupt the editor's building process. The page was in our queue for review but the script would not work which is typically because of a syntax error or some other form of a stunted submission. This easiest fix for it is to resubmit it for the page creator and then give the appropriate review. Cheers Sulfurboy (talk) 23:21, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
- From what I can see DGG is the other editor referred with issues with the GBook citation. Florida, this seems related to the reasons that you were restricted to using AfC in the first place. I don't ever love notable work being declined at AfC (though Primefac serves far more as an AfC coordinator than I do) but there is a reason an experienced content creator has this restriction in the first place and part of it is not taking the sensible advice/ask of an editor like DGG. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 23:42, 21 March 2020 (UTC) P.S. John but I initially thought as you did that Sulfurboy submitted the draft only to decline it but a more careful review of the draft suggests Florida did indeed submit the draft themselves.
- Indeed; the "submission" was likely AFCH unable to read {{Submit}} (I really need to make that an auto-subst). It wasn't a "submit-then-decline" so much as a "try-to-FIX-the-submit-THEN-decline". Primefac (talk) 20:46, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
- I have had some disagreements with a few of Sulfurboy's reviews, which tend to focus on things which should not disqualify an article, but this is not the place to analyze them. Like Barkeep, I have real problems with Florida's submissions, to the extent that I have told him I would no longer review them. When I see a very poorly referenced article on what ought to be a notable subject from a good faith editor, when it's poor enough that people will likely challenge the notability as insufficiently demonstrated, I try to give specific advice, worded as carefully (and consistently) as I can based on many years of trying to formulate such assistance. When I see an editor frequently needing such advice , and making only sporadic efforts at improvement, I will keep trying , but eventually I get too discouraged. The point of AfC is for improvable articles to get improved. So much of the work at AfC is the necessary but negative work of keeping out promotional paid editors, that the reason I, like most reviewers, am willing to do it as a major activity is the potential for teaching new editors--hopefully seeing they become more competent regular contributors, but at the least, getting decent articles for the encyclopedia. DGG ( talk ) 00:29, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
