Proposed deletion of Empire Strikes Back ending

edit

The article Empire Strikes Back ending has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced Neologism

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Cliffhanger endings to sequels are often compared to the ending of Empire Strikes Back. That's where the term came from.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Citizen Kane, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 14:39, 7 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to X-Men Origins: Wolverine does not have an edit summary. I have reverted your edit, as you ignored a note that had been left in the article and did not discuss your change on the Talk page or leave an edit summary explaining your change. Thank you. -- Doniago (talk) 13:01, 24 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of fictional antiheroes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Star Wars Saga (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

nickandmore.com as a reference

edit

I am glad to see you found some references that supported the info you added. About Nickandmore.com though, see discussions at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 104#Clicker.com and Nick and More! and Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 101#nickandmore.com about nickandmore as a reference. Conclusion is that it doesn't meet WP:RS standards. I'm going to ignore it for now as the info referenced that you added using nickandmore.com is plausible and will soon be obsoleted by the actual episode guide info (TV Guide, Futon critic) and the airing of the actual episodes and leaving it there heads off a lot of editing hassle. Just FYI for future reference. Other editors may be less tolerant – it would be great if you could find a better reference. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:56, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

(David's twitter comments about producing 26 episodes is that is what he was contracted to produce when he was given the production order. Two of his produced episodes were merged into one for presentation and that it a bummer that it didn't count as one for production purposes so that he could produce one more. My interpretation of what he said, anyway.) Geraldo Perez (talk) 22:17, 23 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Alice Englert

Hi, I'm Mabalu. Futuremoviewriter, thanks for creating Alice Englert!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I look forward to seeing this article expanded.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Victory Van Tuyl article

edit

In Talk:Victory Van Tuyl you asked:

I gave references, this is a real person. She may not be well-known, but the information I displayed was accurate and I do not understand why the page is being deleted just because she's not the most popular person in the world.--Futuremoviewriter (talk) 12:40, 25 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

(I copied your question here as that talk page may get deleted.)

This is a real person but you didn't say in the article why she has notability as an actor. See WP:NACTOR for what is needed. Also must meet guidelines at WP:GNG. Suggest reading Wikipedia:Your first article for more info. Also the references you did add were from an unverified twitter account, only verified twitter accounts may be used as references. Too many posers to trust unverified accounts. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:39, 25 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Twitter account is verified now as being her. So can the deletion now be undone?--Futuremoviewriter (talk) 21:07, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Feel free to find a source that describes Gabrielle Montez as a deuteragonist. Until then, don't add it back.—Kww(talk) 02:39, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I thought it was obvious. Troy is the protagonist of the trilogy, so in turn, Gabriella is the deuteragonist (secondary protagonist). Why would something like that need to be sourced?--Futuremoviewriter (talk) 21:05, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Because it your opinion that Gabriella is the secondary antagonist, as opposed to any of the other characters in the story. I'm not saying you are wrong, but I am saying that that isn't a conclusion for a Wikipedia editor to come to.—Kww(talk) 22:09, 9 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I said Gabriella is the secondary PROTAGONIST, as in deuteragonist because the trilogy primary revolves around her and Troy and I'm sure nobody else would dispute that fact. Sharpay would be the primary ANTAGONIST of the trilogy as she directly opposes Troy and Gabriella in their relationship. Ryan would be the secondary antagonist of the first movie, Fulton of the second and Tiara in the third as opposition not just to Sharpay, but when at first helping Sharpay to try to break Troy and Gabriella up. Reading the plot summaries of each movie will make most of this so abundantly clear that they would simply be considered statements that did not need to be sourced. I don't mean to be stingy, but I'm sure others would back me up on my claims too. --Futuremoviewriter (talk) 23:55, 10 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

So find a reliable source that backs you up. If your analysis is both correct and meaningful, you should be able to find a reliable source that agrees with you and cite it.—Kww(talk) 00:14, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Can somebody else verify it? I did a google search of gabriella montez deuteragonist and got nothing. Is there someone who trust who can tell you its true? Plus, the High School Musical Wiki and Villains Wiki each call Sharpay the main antagonist of the trilogy, so what now?--Futuremoviewriter (talk) 16:52, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hey Arnold!: The Movie

Hi, I recently reverted a few edits you made at Hey Arnold!: The Movie, because the information was unsourced and read as original research. Another editor removed this information on July 5, 2013, with a clear explanation here. Reverting their edit without explaining your changes, and without resolving the complaint that the information is unsourced, is not considered a constructive way to edit. I'm sorry but the 3XK is not one of the main story lines in the show nor has it outlasted Becket's mother's story. 3XK did not even show up in the show until season 3 and was only in 2 episodes and mentioned in another 2 episodes, while The story of Beckett's Mother's murder has been a major story since season 1 and was in fact still going until the season finale this year. If you want to add this then go to the talk page to discuss and gain a consensus per WP:BRD. 2601:7:1940:4C:D1B5:D605:D383:5F68 (talk) 20:03, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries, multiple consecutive edits

edit

Hello, Futuremoviewriter. A couple suggestions for you to consider that will make it easier for us all to work together:

  • Please make a habit of providing an edit summary when you make a change to an article. Doing so makes it easier for your colleagues here to understand the intention of your edit.
  • Plus, it will be easier for you and your co-editors to collaborate on articles if, instead of making multiple consecutive edits in rapid succession on an article, you use the "Show preview" button to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits. This keeps the page history of the article less cluttered.

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions.Eric talk 04:02, 8 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Elena Kampouris

edit

The article Elena Kampouris has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Wgolf (talk) 20:29, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
