Help uploading magazine cover images under the correct license
Dear Gobonobu,
I wonder if you could assist, I am planning on adding two images of magazine covers to the following page ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture%2BTravel ), in the same way has been done for many other magazines such as (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travel_%2B_Leisure) and (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_%28magazine%29).
The process for uploading such images seems complicated, but I saw that you had done so, using the magazine cover free-use license, here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Blouin_Art%2BAuction_June_2015.jpg
Would you be able to help by doing the same for the following two images?
https://www.flickr.com/photos/133168008@N03/19715443268/in/photostream/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/133168008@N03/19280824074/in/photostream/
These two designs will be used in the article to illustrate the first edition, and the award-winning relaunch. I saw that if such images are uploaded but not used, they are marked for deletion, but I think the article would be best supported by using both, the former in the top right info box, the other lower down.
Thanks in advance for your help and guidance!

- @Readyforlara: There's a link for uploading files in the menu on the left under 'Tools'. I usually use the 'plain form for local uploads' and add a magazine rationale template (like this: {{subst:Magazine rationale|Article name goes here|person or company owning the copyright goes here}}) to the summary. Having more than one non-free magazine cover in an article can sometimes be considered excessive. You'll want to make sure that the usage of any image beyond the first complies with WP:NFCCP (especially #3a & #8). gobonobo + c 20:37, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Gobonobu, I would not have thought to take that route, but I was able to upload and connect to the article thanks to your direction. I just added one as per your advice. If you have a second to check that all is correct, it is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Award-winning_May_2008_cover_of_Culture%2BTravel_Magazine.jpg
Readyforlara (talk) 23:05, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Readyforlara: Oh, I like the Balint Zsako collage. A bot may come along and resize the image you uploaded, but it should stick thanks to the license and rationale. If you upload more images, be sure to size them down to below 100kb (images in the infoboxes won't usually render wider than 300 pixels anyway). gobonobo + c 00:54, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

WikiProject Women
Hi, I see you recently joined Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red. I've made a proposal to merge this project into Wikipedia:WikiProject Women at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red, so we can not only cover missing articles but focus on general quality of women's biographies. If interested please put your name down on the WP:Women page at the bottom.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:04, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Marylin's Monroe's father's last name correction.
I posted a correction with the intent to post correct information and was deleted with the comment that I posted to the wrong page. In the interest of giving correct information to the public, could you please give me the correct page to post this correction, or make this correction in its proper place? Thank you. Mortenclan (talk) 06:16, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Mortenclan: I reverted the addition to Marilyn Monroe (disambiguation) because that page is meant to help readers differentiate between the different uses of the term. I assume you meant to change the article for Marilyn Monroe, a different page. That article already has text related to the misspelling 'Mortensen' in the early life section. Hope that helps. gobonobo + c 06:20, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

Women in Architecture redlinks
Do you know of any other good lists (or sources for lists) of women in architecture redlinks?--Pharos (talk) 19:47, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- (Page stalker) There had been some talk during the Inspire campaign about WP:WikiProject Women architects or something similar, but I don't think this has been developed. If you do come across a list of women in architecture redlinks, would you please mention it at the talkpage of WP:WikiProject Women in Red as we're in the beginning stages of compiling women's bios redlists? Thank you. --Rosiestep (talk) 20:44, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Pharos, Rosiestep: Despina Stratigakos had a good article about women architects in Wikipedia a couple years back. She mentions that the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation has a Dynamic National Archive that lists US women architects, but I imagine that many of them don't meet notability guidelines. Earlier this year a project grant was awarded to ArchiteXX and I'm only now seeing their Wikipedia:Wikiproject Women Wikipedia Design. Their task list has missing articles, mostly German and Australian women. User:Loriannbrown would know more about that project. Books like Designing Women: Gender and the Architectural Profession and The First American Women Architects might also be good sources for finding names or topics. gobonobo + c 00:16, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

Five minutes to help make WikiProjects better
Hello!
First, on behalf of WikiProject X, thank you for trying out the WikiProject X pilot projects. I would like to get some anonymous feedback from you on your experience using the new WikiProject layout and tools. This way, we will know what we did right, and if we did something horribly wrong, we can try to fix it. This feedback won't be associated with your username, so please be completely honest. We are determined to improve the experience of Wikipedians, and your feedback helps us with that. (You are also welcome to leave non-anonymous feedback at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject X.)
Please complete the survey here. The survey has two parts: the first part asks for your username, while the second part contains the survey questions. These two parts are stored separately, so your username will not be associated with your feedback. There are only nine questions and it should not take very long to complete. Once you complete the survey I will leave a handwritten note on your talk page as a token of my appreciation.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Harej (talk) 17:49, 2 September 2015 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Honor Frost.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Honor Frost.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:18, 24 September 2015 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Wendell Meredith Stanley.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Wendell Meredith Stanley.jpg.
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
Thank you. Safiel (talk) 19:11, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Draft:Pediatric gynaecology, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.upcscavenger.com/wiki/gynaecology/.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at User:Katearts/sandbox. Your edits have or will be reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Krett12 (talk) 19:37, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
