Ok, so as you can see above, some person has banned me from using my own University's and my Own college's picture in the userbox...What do I do, this is not copyright infringement, I am trying to promote my college and university such that they benefit out of it. Please advise.. Debastein1 (talk) 20:04, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Yes, but I am doing it on behalf of my college only na, I'm promoting it...So then, why is it a problem?? Debastein1 (talk) 15:49, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
It was removed from my template as well. Tell me something, if I upload the images myself to Wikimedia and then link it, will it still be removed?? Debastein1 (talk) 17:34, 24 August 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, Ram helped me out with that one...Thanks for looking into it in any case... Debastein1 (talk) 07:10, 11 September 2011 (UTC)

editHi Sir. Having a small issue. I wanted to add my article Robinson Crusoe Economy to the category titled "Economic Systems". I'm unable to do so. Every time I type Category:Economic Systems, it appears as a red link, like a page which doesn't exist. But in fact, this category does exist. So what should I do? - Abhilasha369 (talk) 05:45, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Copyright violations from Wikipedia:India Education Program/Courses/Fall 2011/Economics of the Social Sector Year 2 Group A
editHi, in the course of my travels across Wikipedia I've been coming across a large number of copyvios being inserted into articles, and I've traced them back to a class being handled under the auspices of the India Education Program. At least 7 or 8 of the students in Wikipedia:India Education Program/Courses/Fall 2011/Economics of the Social Sector Year 2 Group A have "done" their assignments by pasting copyrighted text into already-existing articles. Most of these have now been reverted, and some revdel'd when possible, but I was wondering if you have any ability to speak to the instructors or students in the India program and ask them to stress to students that writing must be original and that we take copyright violation very, very seriously and they are risking getting blocked with such behavior, not to mention (presumably) failing their class. A fluffernutter is a sandwich! (talk) 19:57, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Gurmeet. Yes, several of my students have also written in to me informing me about the same. Give me some time to go through their worl & figure out what's going on & then we'll work out a time when you can come & speak to them - around the first week of Sept. - Shirin--Shirin tejani (talk) 04:58, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

editHi.
I just started my wiki user page. And I have two issues (yes, the brownie is a bribe. :P). First of all, my table of contents isn't coming. And secondly, is it possible to get my userboxes to come under my infobox rather than next to it? Thank you. PJote (talk) 19:24, 15 September 2011 (UTC) |

File source problem with File:Per_Capita_Income_vs_Population_Growth1.jpg

If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Copyvio check please
editHi, I am the cleanup force task member assigned to clean up the articles of students from this class. One of the students, User:haley.rohl, added some content to this article. Since the references she gave are book references, I am unable to check if her edits are copyright violations or not. Thus, I am asking for your help with this since you are the campus ambassador of the class. Can you please check the following books and see if the content she added are copyvios of the books? Thanks.
- Han Singer, "The Concept of Balanced Growth and Economic Development; Theory and Facts," University of Texas Conference on Economic Development, April 1958.
- Paul Streeten, "unbalanced Growth." Economic Integration, Sythoff, Leidien (Holland), 1961. Reprinted in A.N.Agarwala and S.P.Singh, (eds.), Accelerating Inbestment in Developing Economies (London: Oxford University Press, 1969).
After you've checked, please get back to me. I appreciate your help. Bejinhan talks 12:21, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of BlazeClan
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on BlazeClan, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Daiyusha (talk) 08:29, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
Basics of Sikhi moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Basics of Sikhi, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CommanderWaterford (talk) 17:57, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Basics of Sikhi
editHello, Gsinghglakes. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Basics of Sikhi".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:45, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
