Speedy deletion nomination of Interaction between monetary and fiscal policies

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Interaction between monetary and fiscal policies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Prioryman (talk) 07:15, 25 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: "Speedy deletion" of my topic ! Please help.

Hi Shraddha,

If you notice, the message "Speedy deletion nomination of Interaction between monetary and fiscal policies" on your talk page, this talks about the exact reason why it was deleted. Posting the reason for your quick reference,

"A3. No content. Any article (other than disambiguation pages, redirects, or soft redirects) consisting only of external links, category tags and "see also" sections, a rephrasing of the title, attempts to correspond with the person or group named by its title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, chat-like comments, template tags, and/or images. This also applies to articles consisting entirely of the framework of the Article wizard with no additional content beyond the above. However, a very short article may be a valid stub if it has context, in which case it is not eligible for deletion under this criterion. Similarly, this criterion does not cover a page having only an infobox, unless its contents also meet the above criteria."

So, I believe this article was created with minimal content and hence got delete. As a next step my advise would be to have some content ready before you create this article.

Hope this helps. do let me know if you have any further concerns.

Hi Shraddha,

Just noticed your talk page... go ahead and create that article again. It seems the earlier one had nothing in it, so as per admins no need to undelete it.

All the best... enjoy editing...!

PS: Post any messages on my talk page and not on user page, otherwise I won't know that I have a message. :-)Small text

Advice

edit

There was no point undeleting that article because it had nothing in it but the single character ' ; but there is nothing to stop you posting another article at that title, if you have some actual material to put in it. Articles that have no content get deleted because we do not want readers of the encyclopedia to find them. See Help:Userspace draft for how to start an article in your own user space, so that you can take time to develop it and not move it to the main encyclopedia until it is ready. That way, you avoid the risk of having it deleted because it is incomplete. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:11, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, friend!

Allow me to introduce myself — my name is Tim Davenport, "Carrite" on Wikipedia, and I live in Corvallis, Oregon, on the western coast of the United States of America. I'm 50 years old and have been active in the Wikipedia project since 2008.

I was just alerted this morning that I've been assigned as a "Wikipedia Ambassador" to be available to answer any questions you might have about your work on the article Interaction between monetary and fiscal policies. While I do have a Bachelor's degree in Economics, for the last 20 years or more I have concentrated exclusively on matters of history and political biography, so I will not be of much help to you in locating sources.

Fortunately, I do know a good deal about the mechanics of Wikipedia article writing, its sometimes confusing policies and standards, and its unique internal culture. If I may assist you by answering questions relating to any of these matters, please do not hesitate to ask. Just click TALK behind my user name below and leave a message for me on my Wikipedia "Talk Page," or you may email me directly at [email protected]. Be sure to put the word WIKIPEDIA in your email header if you contact me directly so the message is not lost as spam.

Thank you for your forthcoming contribution to the project! Carrite (talk) 18:07, 31 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please don't hesitate dropping me a line if you are having difficulty learning how to insert footnotes. Having information footnoted is very important not only from the perspective of future users, but in making your own position as a content creator easier — people looking over your shoulder will be less inclined to meddle.

Again, if you are having problems with any technical aspect of article-writing or needing explanation or mediation regarding the actions of other Wikipedia volunteers on your articles, I'm here to help. Leave a message on my talk page or write me directly, whichever you prefer. — Tim. [email protected] /// Carrite (talk) 22:04, 8 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
