Speedy deletion nomination of Christie bartram

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Christie bartram requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. --Non-Dropframe talk 02:01, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Removing Speedy at Christie bartram

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Christie bartram. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willingly to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 02:23, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Miss Chinese International Pageant 2001 has been reverted.
Your edit here to Miss Chinese International Pageant 2001 was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://misshongkongpageant.tripod.com/chinese2001.htm%20Johnny's%20Pageant%20Page%20-%20Miss%20Chinese%20International%20Pageant%202001) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.   Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. By simply adding the Fairchild TV website as your reference does not necessarily mean that it is a reliable source. Please follow the guidelines at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources to properly cite your edits. This goes for edits on other pages you have contributed as well including, but not limited to Miss Chinese (Vancouver) Pageant, Miss Chinese International Pageant and its corresponding pageants, Fairchild TV and its programming pages, etc. The section on Crown Design on Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant is now reverted. If you have proper citation, please feel free to edit the article again. If you need further help on proper citation, add {{Help me}} to this page and a senior editor will come to your rescue. Thank you for uploading File:Christine Kuo.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:47, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:Christine Kuo.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Christine Kuo.jpeg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 03:01, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Christine Kuo.jpeg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Christine Kuo.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Ontario Band Association

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Ontario Band Association, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 03:04, 16 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

You have been previously warned three times within this month about this matter. Please cease and desist in adding original researched trivia into articles. Proposed deletion of Cilla Kung

edit

The article Cilla Kung has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability not established

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of Suet Nei

The article Suet Nei has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Original Research / Trivia Sections

edit

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Lee Heung-kam. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Please remember to properly cite your edits, especially trivia points which point to original research. I do not mean to play police and watch and revert your edits all the time, but most of the articles you edit are just on my watchlist. I also don't mean to sound like a broken record, reminding you almost daily of this, but it's just following Wikipedia standards. And please read up on WP:NOTRIVIA and stop inserting "Trivia", "Notes" or "Records" sections into articles. They will most certainly be removed. It is hard enough having tons of existing Trivia sections to clean up. We do not need extra ones. Anyways, I do see some improvement on a few of your recent edits in regards to referencing and citation so continue on that path! Happy editing!   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Miss Hong Kong Pageant. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Please do not add personal blogs to articles as external links. Thank you.   When providing references and citations, it is important to cite properly. Your recent citations at Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant were too vague and do not provide enough description. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You have undid my editing out of "Chang is noted by viewers as Bernice Liu's possible successor as they have many similarities, although Chang speaks Cantonese more fluently than Liu.She is also 10 years younger than Liu." in the aforementioned article. Statements like these, espeically unsourced ones, are trivia that belongs in fansites and not on Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of King Kong Li

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on King Kong Li requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Seduisant (talk) 02:33, 21 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Shit. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The section you added on Asia's media usage of the term is completely unsourced and is original research. Please do not continually add unsourced statements to articles. Hello there, just a heads up that the current disambiguation policy states:

"Disambiguation is required whenever, for a given word or phrase on which a reader might search, there is more than one existing Wikipedia article to which that word or phrase might be expected to lead." (emphasis mine)

Please do not recreate the page without first establishing a page for the second meaning and showing that the links to the current page are, in fact, ambiguous.

Proposed deletion of Royal Family Orders of Sweden

edit

The article Royal Family Orders of Sweden has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An unofficial, unannounced order, in an unsourced article. No evidence that this is a notable subject.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

License tagging for File:ARMS.PNG

Thanks for uploading File:ARMS.PNG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Wedding of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, and Marie-Chantal Miller photo.PNG

Thank you for uploading File:Wedding of Pavlos, Crown Prince of Greece, and Marie-Chantal Miller photo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. DrKiernan (talk) 07:33, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Coat of Arms

Hi. I saw your wonderful work on Sarah, Duchess of York's coat of arms. Because of that I want to give you some requests for making more coat of arms:

Of course all of these are requests and I can't force you to do them. But please do them every time you can. It will be wonderful. Thank you so much. Keivan.fTalk 06:17, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Right now, I don't have the time to do these (these things take hours and even days). But when I have the time, which will probably be in a really long time, I will.--Hipposcrashed (talk) 17:49, 1 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I understand. But please create them whenever you have time. I'll wait to see these coat of arms made by you in the future. Keivan.fTalk 14:42, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Also I wanted to tell you something. When I searched in internet I found some versions of Sarah's arms that have motto: "EX ADVERSIS FELICITAS CRESCIT". This sentence is also written in her article on Wikipedia. If it is true then it should be written under her coat of arms during her marriage, like Diana, Princess of Wales or Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Please find out what's the real version of her coat of arms. With motto or without motto. Keivan.fTalk 16:11, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
At last please create the shield of arms of Sarah, Duchess of York. Like the shield of arms of Diana, Princess of Wales and other members of the royal family that you can see an example of it here. Keivan.fTalk 17:42, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
I've added the text. Unfortunately there is a rendering issue that I am not familiar with so the text is not displayed properly. I have restored it to the original.--Hipposcrashed (talk) 02:49, 3 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Finally you added the text. Thanks a lot. But I think you should remove that grass from the coat of arms. Like the arms of Diana, Princess of Wales and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Keivan.fTalk 08:20, 4 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

@TaerkastUA: I query these edits too. Hipposcrashed, you did the same at École Polytechnique massacre, here, changing "His father, a mutual funds salesman ..." to salesperson. Cut-and-paste move

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Lalla Salma, Princess Consort of Morocco a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. Replaceable fair use File:Throne norway.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Throne norway.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan

edit

I reverted your addition of File:Crown Prince Akihito and Crown Princess Michiko with three children; Prince Naruhito, Prince Fumihito and Princess Sayako. (September 1969).jpg to Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan because the image cluttered up the section to which it was added. There is already another image of him in that section, and there is not really room for more. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 23:12, 11 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Finger food, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chuan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh photo.PNG

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh photo.PNG.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Celia Homeford (talk) 09:13, 9 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
