editHi Hisakiwa21! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
TSV 1865 Dachau
editThanks, I have done a little bit of housekeeping. GiantSnowman 13:59, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- What about creating sub-sections for the football/basketball teams and then using {{Infobox football club}} and {{Infobox basketball club}}? GiantSnowman 14:39, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- If the sports club is notable as a whole then it does not matter if the football/basketball departments are not notable individually. GiantSnowman 05:34, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
- I've cleaned up the grammar a bit. Please can you add some reliable sources so we can demonstrate notability? GiantSnowman 08:31, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've added the page to my 'watchlist' so will continue to monitor your additions and clean up/help out where it is needed! Good work though. GiantSnowman 16:10, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Images
editUnfortuantely images are perhaps my weakest area of Wikipedia - have you had a read of Wikipedia:Image use policy? GiantSnowman 16:13, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
- You may wish to ask for some help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, they will be able to assist you with the image you have uploaded as well as any future images you may wish to upload. Sorry I couldn't be more help myself. GiantSnowman 16:26, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

editGo for it! GiantSnowman 20:04, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of FC Mostransgaz Gazoprovod
editHello Hisakiwa21,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged FC Mostransgaz Gazoprovod for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Whispering 17:40, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have removed the tag as it was not eligible for speedy deletion. GiantSnowman 14:59, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have added categories using a tool called WP:HOTCAT. GiantSnowman 15:08, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- We don't normally have 'Famous players' or 'Notable players' sections as they tend to be unreferenced and down to personal opinion. If a number of players with Wikipedia articles (3 or over?) played for the team then it might be worth creating a player category instead. GiantSnowman 15:21, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Again, if 3 or more international/professional players (i.e. those with a Wikipedia article already) played for the team then it'd be better to create a player category. GiantSnowman 15:26, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Try adding Category:FC Mostransgaz Gazoprovod players to the relevant player articles. GiantSnowman 15:42, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- Perfect, well done! GiantSnowman 15:49, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

re: EURO 2020 Bids Article
editNo problem, I am glad I could help. I have not looked in to the article why the blue dot was added, maybe something to look at, but at least I solved the problem. Let me know if you need help again, I will be happy to help if I can. QED237 (talk) 21:33, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 14
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2013 Interprovincial One-Day Trophy, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Scott Campbell and David Barr (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Seriously!
editI have not done original research and it is SHOWN on the Talk Page what the scenarios are! I shall undo your edit.TheGRVOfLightning (talk) 02:44, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Ah... No he didn't. He didn't say that it HAD to stay on the User Page. Furthermore explain to me how there were elimination scenarios BEFORE but they cannot be there now? TheGRVOfLightning (talk) 06:43, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
However I didn't use original research, I actually did reference them. TheGRVOfLightning (talk) 01:59, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon
editHi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:12, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
