File source and copyright licensing problem with File:The Haves And The Have Nots.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:The Haves And The Have Nots.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 12:01, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:The haves and the have nots.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:The haves and the have nots.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Uploading images
editPlease do not upload images with, to be quite blunt, ridiculous filenames like File:Jesus Jesus cat sleeping.jpg and File:Eiffel Tower,Paris,at night.jpg, which are obviously non-free promotional images for The Haves and the Have Nots (TV series) and File:Loving you tilt again.jpg, which is also an obviously non-free promotional image for If Loving You Is Wrong (TV series). Filenames should accurately describe the image. Non-free images also require licensing information, a fair-use rationale and should be uploaded at low resolution. --AussieLegend (✉) 10:13, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Jesus jesus cat sleeping.jpeg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Jesus jesus cat sleeping.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Speedy deletion nomination of Empire (season 4)
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Empire (season 4) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - MrX 23:10, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
editHello J7b, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to List of The Haves and the Have Nots episodes have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. AussieLegend (✉) 14:18, 4 July 2017 (UTC)

editPlease refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of The Haves and the Have Nots episodes. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AussieLegend (✉) 07:30, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- To clarify, this edit inexplicably removed a needed citation as well as restoring an unsourced episode that has previously been removed several times. Ironically, the citation that you removed from another episode was the same citation that you used in your addition. Obviously you did not check the source as, if you did, you would have realised that the episode that you added was not supported by the source that you used. Your edit also left the article in an errored state. --AussieLegend (✉) 07:35, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

editAs explained in this edit summary, we don't include series overview tables until a series has started airing its second season. The Paynes has not aired a single episode so it should definitely not have a series overview table. Please also note that the heading for the episode table should be "Episodes". When a sourced, second season episode table has been created, subheadings are used. --AussieLegend (✉) 18:56, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

- To clarify, these edits:
- restored a heading that had previously been corrected - When there is only a single season we use the generic heading "Episodes". We only use season numbers when there are 2 or more seasons.
- inexplicably changed the column formatting introducing numerous errors - Firstly, the column widths must add up to the total width. You set the total width at 99% but the column widths totalled 100%
- restored
EpisodeNumber2
- This field is not required for a single season. It is only added when, like the heading, there are two or more seasons. - removed maintenance templates without addressing the identified problems - Neither the title nor the air date are sourced. Consequently, {{citation needed}} was added as citations were required. You cannot simply remove maintenance templates without explanation. You either need to supply a citation or appropriately justify removal. You did not do that. In fact you did not supply summaries for any of your edits.
- You have been warned numerous times now. --AussieLegend (✉) 08:37, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

December 2017
editOn 22 November you added a new row to the series overview table at List of The Haves and the Have Nots episodes despite the note in the table that quite clearly says "Per WP:TVOVERVIEW, do not add a table row for upcoming seasons until such time as a sourced section for the upcoming season exists."[1] That was reverted specifically mentioning WP:TVOVERVIEW in the edit summary. The row was added again a few hours later,[2] and reverted, this time mentioning both WP:TVOVERVIEW and the ignored note.[3] The very next edit was by you today, completely ignoring the previous reversion and edit summary.[4] You have received several warnings about your disruptive editing including more than one final warning. AlexTheWhovian specifically questioned your edits and Ad Orientem warned you that you are very close to being blocked. Since you continually ignore advice and refuse to engage in any discussion about your edits, please consider this your final, final warning. --AussieLegend (✉) 04:07, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
- What they said^^^^^ +1. -Ad Orientem (talk) 14:21, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
Only 44 minutes after my last comments here, you made these edits to the article, adding a completely unsourced row to the series overview table and an unsourced episode table for a purported 2018 season. Note that the note that I mentioned above, which you again ignored, says "Unsourced additions and additions that do not comply with WP:TVOVERVIEW will be reverted." Accordingly, the content that you added has been reverted with the summary "Unsourced episode table. editor has had final warning". Ignoring that, today you made this unsourced edit to List of If Loving You Is Wrong episodes. That too has been reverted. It's really very simple, do NOT add unsourced content. All future TV episodes require sources. If you'd engage in some form of discussion we might be able to sort out the problems you are having but since you don't seem to want to discuss, I dodn't think there is any alternative to taking this to WP:ANI. --AussieLegend (✉) 05:33, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
