Your submission at Articles for creation: Zero Gravity (book) (August 17)
edit- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Zero Gravity (book) and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- What are you talking about? It's the latest book by a world-famous author and filmmaker. How does that not meet the criteria? I appreciate that I only gave a basic summation of the book, but I did so with the understanding that someone else would provide more information to build on that base. Am I supposed to provide the entire article straight away, fully formed and with references? JH 30 1991 (talk) 16:27, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- No a new article does not have to be "entire" or "fully formed" but yes references are essential. All new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS) - In this case see WP:NBOOKS. Ways to improve Night in the Lonesome October
editHello, JH 30 1991,
Thank you for creating Night in the Lonesome October.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Thanks for the article! Though WP:GNG, the general notability guideline (which decides if articles are worthy of notice to be included on Wikipedia) needs at least two reliable, independent, in-depth references. Also, see WP:NBOOK, the book notability criteria. However, other than the single review from Publishers Weekly, my WP:BEFORE search didn't find many other reviews that meet notability, unfortunately.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|VickKiang}}

I have sent you a note about a page you started
editHello, JH 30 1991. Thank you for creating Night in the Lonesome October. User:VickKiang, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Like I said on my user talk page, IMHO notability (which decides if articles are suitable to be included on Wikipedia), see WP:NBOOK (book guideline) or WP:GNG is borderline (please have a look at the links first). GNG and NBOOK criteria 1 require 2+ refs. This book currently has just 2; both are long enough to be significant/in-depth, despite the second one also covering two books simultaneously. Therefore, I'm marking it as reviewed for now, so this would be indexed on the web, but I have added a citation needed tag, see WP:V, and will leave the notability tag on for now due to it being borderline. Also, this is no longer a stub at 285 words of prose size and 319 words in total. So, there are areas that you need to improve on for the article; I replied to your message on my user talk page. Many thanks!
