Thanks for the feedback and pointers! I'm not sure how well I understand the practices in Wikipedia, but the efforts at trying to suppress the whale.to site seem quite far away from the idea as I understand it. Jkpjkp 09:11, 6 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

RfC on Whale.to

edit

Hi, I appreciated your thoughtful commentary on the MMR vaccine page with regards to whale.to. I thought you would appreciate further discussion by way of RfC which can be found here WP:RFC/SCI. InvictaHOG 19:55, 29 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Merge templates

edit

The date syntax is: {{Merge|other arguments|date=August 2007}}, but if you leave the date off it will be added by a WP:BOT. Rich Farmbrough, 13:35 29 August 2007 (GMT).

Thanks - I think a manage to get the date right at another merge page by following instructions at Wikipedia:Merge

and just using subst:DATE literally, but apparently on the page you're referring to I mistakenly thought that I'm supposed to write the date in place of DATE. --Jkpjkp 13:44, 29 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
