Hi Jnorton7558,
Can you please check over all of the configurations in the Elimination Chart b/c the cells are off and the columns should stop at 13 and it goes past to one more. I'd really appreciate it if you could figure it out. I've tried and I can't fix it and its been bugging me. Any fforts or if someone you know is good at that , please ask them. Thanks so much. Yse, but do you see how it looks all screwed up this [[1]] is the last edit it looks ok before it got screwed up. TVFAN24 (talk) 04:54, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you so much. You fixed something that has been bugging me the whole week. Your the best. TVFAN24 (talk) 05:17, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
- Fixed it now. It took me a little because it appears as if it only showed like that in IE whereas I use FF. The colspans on all the fired people were set incorrectly. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 05:19, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
How do i get an image to show?
I inserted the image in the Challenge Accepted page but the image didn't show for some reason! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Saimcheeda (talk • contribs) 14:44, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
- For information on how to add an image on that page I would check out Template:Infobox Television episode which explains the options for that infobox. Remember that capitalization matters. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 19:45, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Taylor Swift Edit.
Hello, I saw that you were talking in the 'Irish Roots' section on Taylor Swift's Discussion Page, and was just wondering if you would be able to add 'Musicians of Irish Descent' on her main page, so it is with the German, Italian, English and Scottish ones.
Just wondering.
WindFire101 (talk) 20:40, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
- I am going to decline to add it at the moment but if you want you can add a {{Editsemiprotected}} template to the section on Talk:Taylor Swift to see if someone else would add it to the article. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 03:41, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Hello
You cannot consensus with that editor named Dave Dial. He is very manipulative and twists things to favour himself,he is rite and everybody else is wrong, hes real bad for wikepedia reliability he realy is. For instance look where he said the Jason Statham article in June 1995 mentioned he was 26...if he was born in 1967 june 1995 he would of been 27. Now this Dave Dial states because of this article it is fact he was born 1967 no discussions! How is that fact? He then stated that it was fact his date of birth was 1967 and not 1972 because in the same article Jason mentioned going bald,Dave Dial said if he was born in 1972 he would of been 22 in June 1995 and people dont go bald at 22 years old so its fact his date of birth is 1967....again how is that fact? Millions of people go bald as teenagers and early 20's plus Jason was only receeding and not bald, many years later he still has hair but its just thinning, this was put to Dave Dial but he wouldnt have it!
He also claimed it wasnt possible to be on the British diving team aged 10-13 (Because again thats what HE personaly believed) so it was more likely to be 1967. It was pointed out to him Britains diving team has members as young as 7yrs old....but he just wouldnt have it...hes rite everyone else is wrong no matter what,Jason himself could kick his door down and slam his birth certificate in his face but he still wouldnt believe it! He also states that Jasons age will NEVER be changed on Wikipedia again, hes very adiment about that as if he owns Wikipedia or somthing!
Also around 30 'ARTICLES' indicating Jasons birthdate as 1972 were posted,Dave Dial claims there not reliable as tabloids would of just been copying Wikipedia when it had the 1972 date up, But then after months of having it changed to 1967 the tabloids all of a sudden started to use the newly added 1967 date....then Dave Dial started using these recent ARTICLES with the new 1967 date as reliable sources! Thats double standards and corrupt as hell! lol
There are only around 4 actual INTERVIEWS with Jason Statham present.....all 4 interviews indicate 1972. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.42.160 (talk) 11:28, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
- I am not siding with anyone. All I did was respond to the edit request and looking at the page where others also seemed to discuss this in the past and stated that some consensus needed to be reached before I would edit the page. You can go ahead and try and mark it as unanswered to see if someone else will change it but I am saying that I will not. Jnorton7558 (talk) 12:08, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks and additional request
Thanks for updating Stanford's "Athletics". Would you please correct the other two lines in my request, one with an update and the others since Stanford has won only 439 individual NCAA championships and 467 ones that also include non-NCAA ones (e.g. Synchronized Swimming) - info from NCAA link and Stanford Championships link?
— the NACDA Director's Cup, formerly known as the Sears Cup — every year for the past seventeen years.
and
Stanford has earned 101 National Collegiate Athletic Association national team titles[137] since its establishment, second most behind the University of California, Los Angeles, 439 individual NCAA championships and 467 individual National championships, the most by any university.[138]

Show titles
Due to your recent edit of the Toccara Jones article, I felt that I should point out that titles of what I refer to as large works (TV shows, music albums, films) should be in italics while smaller works (television episodes, songs) should be in "double quotes". This is per MOS:TITLE. If you remember this for next time, great. If not, well, I've at least tried to help teach an editor something. Thanks for reading, Dismas|(talk) 08:47, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

what is a "blacklisted link"
You removed a footnote on the Peter F. Paul page because the link had been "blacklisted." What does this mean? The citation was a good and relevant one. Uucp (talk) 21:37, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
- The site that the Google link was redirecting to (Freerepublic) is on the SPAM blacklist, and with the Google redirects now added to that blacklist as well any future attempts to save the article would've resulted in an error. Also in relation to this one I had also noticed that there were 4 other references for the same statement. If you want to add back that reference you can attempt to get the link whitelisted here or if you want you could also request that Free Republic get removed from the blacklist all together at the talk page. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 03:06, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
- I agree the point is adequately made by the other citations, I just wanted to understand the blacklist. Uucp (talk) 14:50, 28 October 2011 (UTC)

- I explained the removal on the talk page under someone else's edit request. Both are unsourced on the page. The source there does not mention Toledo at all and just says that his hometown was Ashtabula, nothing about moving there after he was born elsewhere.--Jnorton7558 (talk) 02:19, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Ok. I was just making sure. There have been people screwing with peoples birthdays, birth places or hometowns either erasing them by reasons u just mention when the facts were there. Anyway I did check the pages right before you messaged me and you were right to remove it. However his birthday is accurately and the source for that is too so I would leave that up. Thank you and sorry for any trouble Nhajivandi (talk) 02:30, 30 November 2011 (UTC)

Edit request: Gautama Buddha
How do you expect to arrange consensus when the article was already vandalized with original research on the indian birth claims? Request was to delete the vandalized information included with original research from websites like rediff. When UNESCO has clearly cited scholar articles on this matter, how do you explain India birth claims made by indian website themselves - zero reliable sources 100% biased original research from indians point of view. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seaboy123 (talk •contribs) 04:54, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- If you search the talk page there you will see various discussions on this. Therefore there is already a consensus to not remove the information from the article. It is possible that consensus can change through more discussion on the talk page.--Jnorton7558 (talk) 04:58, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- I have read the discussions in full. However it seems you have not. And I want to make you clear on the following situations in the article:
1) There was no consensus to put the Orissa birth claims in the first place during the original version of the article. Some users with admin rights used Original research and put information on the article which should not have been allowed in the first place. 2) Directly related to this, is your consensus thought. I am not sure what consensus you are talking about. There is no consensus to not remove the information from the article. There are a whole lot of users who have requested to remove the misleading and biased original research information from the article for the Orissa birth claims. 3) I would also like to make you clear on another important issue here. The users supporting the Indian birth claims are admins and the ones arguing against putting such false information are general users. As you can see, the admins will always use their power to shut the general users mouth and as such the article is currently controlled by a few users with Indian nationalistic interest. My request for you if you really are interested in research and scholar articles is give some of your time, and go through the references at least more than once and you can clearly see that all the sources supporting Indian birth claims are mere original research and are of the country India itself. Nepal's support is directly through researchers from UNESCO who have done archaeological research to prove it. What I can assure you is, if you do not take action, I can guarantee you that the article will have no consensus ever because as of now it is controlled by admins with Indian nationalist interests. Even a grade school child can identify fake sources supporting the Indian claim in the article: sources life rediff? personal blogs? Dont tell me thats a credible source.Seaboy123 (talk) 23:32, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes I have not read all the discussions but I have read enough to know that if I make the change it will get changed back fairly quickly because there is no consensus to change it right now, weather or not there was a consensus for what it currently is is irrelevant. It is not me you need to convince it is the others on the talk page. You should also be able to make the edit for yourself if you wish. I have no interest in the subject just an editor that occasionally goes through the{{edit semi protected}} requests. I do know however that the biggest argument is that Nepal did not exist when he was born.--Jnorton7558 (talk) 23:49, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Neither did India, There were states at that time. Italy did not exist when Rome was created? Does that mean we say Rome is in some other country?. However, Nepal existing and not existing is not an issue there. We are perfectly fine with the word indian subcontinent there. The issue is few users have repeatedly vandalized the article with Indian birth claims. The birth claim is what needs to be removed.Seaboy123 (talk) 15:56, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Take this up on the talk page there not on mine. I am not going to change it. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 15:57, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

REQUEST: Please fix factually incorrect Call of Duty entry
Hi there, I submitted an edit request on November 3, 2011 and was wondering if you could help correct the Call of Duty entry.
My original request for this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty) stated: --- Revision Requests from Activision Publishing, Inc
Hello, my name is Christy Buena from Activision Publishing, Inc. I noticed the first sentence of the Call of Duty Wiki entry is inaccurate and wanted to make sure I addressed it in the appropriate manner.
The current, inaccurate text says, “Call of Duty is a first-person and third-person shooter video game series franchise, created by Ben Chichoski.” (Chichoski is also misspelled in the Wiki entry).
Suggested, accurate text is as follows, “Call of Duty is a first-person and third-person shooter video game series franchise, created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision.”
For support, please see the following sources, which indicate Mr. Cichoski’s involvement with the Call of Duty Card Game. Please note Mr. Cichoski is not listed in the Call of Duty credits nor was he an employee of Activision:

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/27/chat-with-call-of-duty-card-game-creator-ben-cichoski/
Let me know if there are any questions. I will continue to watch this space. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbuena (talk • contribs) 21:30, 3 November 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your help in advance and apologies if this is not the appropriate area to request the change. I just haven't seen any movement on the other discussion page.
Thanks, Christy Buena — Preceding unsigned comment added byCbuena (talk • contribs) 18:48, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- Done for other changes just post them on the Talk:Call of Duty and add the {{edit semi protected}} tag onto it and someone should catch it sooner. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 19:11, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi Jnorton7558,
I am so sorry to bother you again but it seems the same thing has happened with the American Idol Season 11 Elimination Chart. Could you please fix the colspans in the table so it is compatible with IE. It seems someone didn't adjust the numbers right today. Thanks so much. TVFAN24 (talk) 01:10, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Jnorton7558, Can you please check over all of the configurations in the Call Out Order Chart b/c the cells are off and there's an extra column. I'd really appreciate it if you could figure it out. I've tried and I can't fix it and its been bugging me. If you or someone you know is good at that, please ask them. Thanks so much. TVFAN24 (talk) 22:53, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- To be honest I'm not seeing any extra columns or cells or anything like that on it right now. This is for the most recent cycle right?Jnorton7558 (talk) 23:12, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
- I don't mean to interrupt, but TVFan I told you this too. There's nothing wrong with them, but you're continuing to believe that there is. You're seeing something we're not. Try refreshing your screen when you visit. It could be stuck on an old edit. But there's nothing wrong with the table. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 00:21, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
What I mean is last year you fixed the colspans in the table so that it was compatible with IE for Celebrity Apprentice 4 and now the same thing has happened to the Call Out Order Chart for America's Next Top Model Cycle 18. Can you see if you can do the same thing b/c last time you fixed it perfectly. Thanks. TVFAN24 (talk) 20:28, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Apparently the IE error was fixed in IE9 which is why I didn't see it. Now the numbers are right for whats currently there they will just need to be increased every week. --Jnorton7558 (talk) 20:35, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
If you wouldn't mind I have no idea how to do that so every Wednesday night after the episode airs, if you can remember would you be so kind to increase it every week. Thanks so much. TVFAN24 (talk) 20:38, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, when you get a chance can you increase the colspans again to America's Next Top Model Cycle 18 Call out Order. They just need to be adjusted. Thanks. TVFAN24 (talk) 05:18, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
