Proposed deletion of Una Familia De Diez

Speedy deletion nomination of La carretera

edit

A tag has been placed on La carretera requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I won't be on the site on a regular basis for another week or two - I just moved and I have no internet at the new house yet - but I can check in either at work or at a Starbucks, which is what I'm doing now. File source problem with File:La_carretera.jpg

edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:La_carretera.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:49, 4 November 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 17:49, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:Que dices.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Julio Puentes! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 4 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Proposed deletion of Sergio Fachelli

edit

The article Sergio Fachelli has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Tom Wilson Brown.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

A tag has been placed on Eric Edwards (actor, born 1966), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Caló (band)

edit

Hello Julio Puentes,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Caló (band) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Proposed deletion of Sal Ponti

edit

Hello, I'm Evil Idiot. I noticed that you created an article about Sal Ponti, but I decided to tag this page for deletion. There's only one source which is IMDB, and it's not reliable. Even though Ponti appeared in George Pal's film Atlantis, the Lost Continent, he didn't appear in any more films in leading roles. He only appeared in a relativity small number of films in minor roles. It also fails GNG and WP:NCORP. Evil Idiot (talk) 14:14, 31 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Papá Soltero

edit

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Julio Puentes, thanks for creating Papá Soltero!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add clear references.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Hi, can you please respond? 'Creat' is unclear. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 09:38, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Julio, can you please respond to my messages? WP:Communication is required as part of the policies WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE. Please also see WP:V. What was your source for the article? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 06:07, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sources and communication

edit

I have contacted you three times but you have continued to edit yet not replied. It is policy that you must respond if other editors raise concerns (see WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE). Please respond. Boleyn (talk) 19:17, 3 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Julio, thanks for your message. I see you did reply to one of my messages, but there have been several unanswered going back to December, including on La Unión (band). Can you please look over your talk page and respond to my messages? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 06:48, 4 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Response

edit

Julio, thanks for your message saying you would like help understanding where you are going wrong. Firstly, please respond to messages -n just a quick message like 'I'll work on it' means the New Page Patroller knows it's in hand.

Papá Soltero has no references; it needs them. Please see WP:Referencing for beginners. What source did you use for writing this article? Same for Avalanche (1999 film) and La Unión (band). Boleyn (talk) 05:43, 6 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

You've continued to edit but not responded or addressed the issues - can you please add your references? If you are struggling, just say so, we'll help, but ignoring messages isn't an option. Boleyn (talk) 20:24, 20 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

Julio, I've sent you thirteen messages explaining the importance of sourcing, and linking to Help:Referencing for beginners, the WP:TEAHOUSE (where you can get help) and WP:V. I have also pointed out that communication is required when another editor raises a concern, per WP:CONDUCT and WP:DISPUTE. You are risking a block by refusing to do these things. Can you please add your references to the articles, or tell me what your sources were and I'll happily help?

The pages in question are Papá Soltero, ¡Ah qué Kiko!, Enid Is Sleeping, Lorcan O'Toole, Brothers of the Wind, La Unión (band), The Family Man (1979 film), Sergio Fachelli and Pimpinela. Also most of your other creations are tagged for 'refimprove' or 'notability'. From the looks of it, many of your biographies of living people and other articles are sourced only be imdb, which is specifically banned at WP:RELIABLESOURCES as it can be edited by anybody and sources are often unclear - the situation we're trying to avoid on Wikipedia.

You have been creating articles on Wikipedia steadily for nine years - we really need to get this sorted and are happy to help - please just communicate. Best wishes,Boleyn (talk) 06:57, 24 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copying your response at my talk page so whole conversation is together:

Hello, sorry for being a bit lazy, it's just that the whole bureaucracy of Wikipedia can honestly be too much of a hassle at times. --Julio P. 08:51, 25 June 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Julio Puentes (talk • contribs)

Julio, I wouldn't say that answering people when they send you messages, or having sources in encyclopaedia articles, is bureaucracy. Will you answer my previous messages? Will you add sources to the articles you've created? In future, will you answer if other editors express a concern and will you add sources to your creations? Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 11:06, 29 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

You left this message at my talk page: Excuse me, but what is it exactly that you want? I've put the necessary references and tried to include as much information as possible on the articles. I really don't know what else to do. Julio P. 04:57, 1 July 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Julio Puentes (talkcontribs)

You have not added the necessary references. I think I've been explicit in what I'm asking: Will you answer my previous messages (see them above on your talk page - this is now my fifteenth message to you trying to sort this out)? Will you add sources to the articles you've created? In future, will you answer if other editors express a concern and will you add sources to your creations? This is a list of your unreferenced creations: Papá Soltero, The Family Man (1979 film), Pimpinela, Avalanche (1999 film) and La Unión (band). Please bear in mind it must be a reliable source, not imdb.

In addition, if you look at a list of your creations, you'll see most of them have been tagged for refimprove and/or notability, or redirected as not notable [1]. It would be best if you submitted future creations through WP:AFC, where someone can help you. Can you please answer my questions? Thanks for replying, Boleyn (talk) 05:42, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

You've continued to edit but not respond. You are risking a block by this behaviour. Please respond and address the issues raised. Boleyn (talk) 20:34, 3 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Julio, please respond - do you understand how to reference? Will you add references to the articles you have created without references:Papá Soltero, The Family Man (1979 film), Pimpinela, Avalanche (1999 film) and La Unión (band)? Boleyn (talk) 20:50, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
This is my eighteenth message, and this discussion has still gone nowhere. If you need help, just ask. Continuing to igmore messages and not address the issue is not acceptable. Boleyn (talk) 18:33, 15 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lorcan O'Toole

edit

The article Lorcan O'Toole has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No clear evidence of meeting WP:NACTOR or WP:GNG; also has no refs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. References

edit

Julio: I saw the section at AN/I and I have seen your posts at Boleyn's user talk, so I thought maybe it would be helpful if I explained what you need to do in different words. So this will repeat what Boleyn has been saying. Some of this may be different on other language Wikipedias, but if so, it's probably more a matter of emphasis and ways things are usually done than of basic rules and guidelines.

New articles need to have references. That makes it possible for readers to check the information in the article, and read more if they want to ("verifiability"). It also shows that the topic is "notable" as we define it, which is almost always "other people have written about it". (The exceptions are obviously notable things like Nobel Prize winners and oceans.) References almost always take the form of footnotes: things you put into the article using <ref> and </ref> tags. (A very few articles use lists of sources instead, and you can have one external link such as IMDb, but basically, new page patrollers are looking for footnotes. Plus IMDb is useless for establishing notability and can't be trusted as a reference for information; we only include it because readers like to see the link.)

Now look at Papá soltero. You created that article with two edits, and this is how it looked after you saved the second edit: [2]. It has no sources. Not even an IMDb link. The one footnote is the word "Creat". You should have had two footnotes saying where you got your information from. Instead, even when you came back to the article, all you added was a wikilink on an actor's name (a red link): [3]. And that was your last edit to the article. I searched like crazy and was able to find one reference I could add, in this edit: [4]. You have big advantages over me in looking for references. You know the show and you speak the language the coverage is likely to be in, so you can do a better search than I was able to. You may even have access to printed back copies of newspapers and magazines that are not on-line. (Off-line sources are fine; just give full information: author, title, name of the newspaper, book, or magazine, full date and page number.) But it is your job to do that with every new article you create. At least two sources. See this page.

A second example: The Family Man (1979 film). When you finished creating it in two edits, it looked like this: [5]. No references whatsoever. Just one line and an infobox. That article was lucky it didn't get deleted. Instead, several other Wikipedians spent time working on it; again, other people even had to add the IMDb and categories for you. But this time, when I looked, I found a wonderful source: a review in the New York Times. That made it possible for me to expand the article a lot. Here is my edit. As my summary for my other edit to the article notes, I also found a second source, but I couldn't use it because it's preserved on newspapers.com and I don't have a subscription. How did you get the idea to write up that film? You presumably read about it somewhere? You need to put that source, whatever it is, and a second one, as footnotes when you create an article.

I hope this helps you understand? If you can't do the markup for footnotes when you're editing using the mobile interface, then save creating new articles for when you aren't on mobile (or use the regular wiki-editor on your mobile phone; here's an essay about how to do that.) But that's what you need to add to your old articles, and always to your new ones. Yngvadottir (talk) 16:05, 26 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

I have indefinitely blocked your account due to your refusal to respond to the exhaustive messages and attempts to communicate with you. You've been repeatedly made aware that communication is mandatory, you've been repeatedly made aware that a discussion at ANI about you was ongoing, and you've demonstrated that you're capable of communicating, which tells me that you're intentionally choosing not to. Sorry, but this is not something we will tolerate and you've been given more than enough time to start communicating voluntarily. If you would like to continue editing here, no problem, but first you need to read WP:COMMUNICATE and WP:V, and indicate that you thoroughly understand them. If you have any questions, you may communicate them to us, so we can answer them for you. When you have done so, follow the instructions at the guide to appealing blocks and we will gladly unblock you without issue. Swarm 03:49, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Brothers of the Wind

edit

The article Brothers of the Wind has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, no significant coverage by independent sources, per WP:NF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brothers of the Wind moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Brothers of the Wind, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion of Sergio Fachelli

edit

The article Sergio Fachelli has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one.
