editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. When you use a reference more than once, please name it and re-use it - look at this article to see how to do it, as I've fixed the problem in this article.
But there's a more important problem. The ref "de Grammont, op, cit., 104" is meaningless, as you have not told us what the "work cited" is (that's what "op cit" means). This suggests that you may have imported the references, or even the whole article, from somewhere else. Please read WP:Copying within Wikipedia and Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources, and fix any problems, including fixing this inadequate reference. Have you stolen another writer's work from somewhere, either within Wikipedia or elsewhere? If so, you need to stop, right now. Thanks. PamD 17:34, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- The ref "De Haedo, Histoire, 152" is also useless: give us the author and title of the book, publisher and date. Have you actually consulted these sources yourself? If so, then add the reference details. If not, then please note that you should have seen and checked all your sources, not just copied someone else's work, when contributing to this encyclopedia. Thanks. PamD 17:46, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

edit Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, you may be blocked from editing.
1) Please make sure to cite proper sources. Primary sources, such as chronicles [or translations thereof], are not adequate for writing an encyclopedia
2) Please follow the sources adequately and do not fake content or include content which is not what is in the source ("When their raids increased, he moved against them during the year 544 [1149-50]. Hearing of this, all the Dukkala tribes congregated on the coast." (DS Richards, p. 226), and "The Dukkala had submitted to the Almohads before the fall of Marrakesh, but later apostatized and became allies of the rebellious Almoravid warlord al-Sahrawi." (Gordon et al, p. 151), is quite different from "In 1149/1150 Abd al-Mu’min learnt of an increasing amount of raids led by the tribesmen of Dukkala, there was an Almoravid warlord who had established himself amongst them."). This is an issue which is also present on other articles...
3) Please make sure to format your citations correctly. There is {{cite book}}, and you should use that, and make sure to include not only the book title/author, but also the relevant pages where the information was found (same as if you were citing the book in a paper: you need to give the precise location) RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 15:27, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
- What was not clear about the above? Almohad Expedition to Dukkala reinstates the same material which I removed, without addressing any of the three above issues... RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 21:20, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Kabz15! Your additions to Battle of Rafaniyya have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:19, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

editYour edit to Battle of Kamaran has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. — Diannaa (talk) 12:57, 18 August 2022 (UTC)

editPlease do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Expedition to Kamaran. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. MaximumCruiser2 🚢 (talk) 00:38, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

The article Campaign of Trabzon (1505) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This article fails verifiability, not a single high quality source cited properly, none of the cited sources has a page number.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
