User:Kayle Larkin, that sounds productive, can you please post the Wiki links to those filters? I think there should be some priority list and it would be good to start as close to the top (i.e. the highest value edits needed) of the list that we can address and go down the list. Articles are graded based on both estimated importance and quality, but high importance articles (e.g. Microsoft) may already have a lot of attention and be of high quality, so they probably aren't near the top of the edits needed list. But there are still plenty of articles for large companies that I've noticed are lacking and could be improved, in particular I'm interested in S&P 500 companies and found one (Steris) was missing, so I started that article recently (although it still has a lot of room for improvement). Another example of a big company that has an article which could be improved a lot is Intertek in the UK's FTSE 100 Index. Please tag my username so I will hopefully see your replies. User:Indefensible, I am unaware of a filter. There is a grading table within Wikiproject companies and there are Business Pages Needing Attention. Otherwise, manually combining through a chosen category. The task force for privaty equity firms has not been edited since April 2019. I am still learning and slowly working through one particular article. I'm shooting for a rewrite of it mid-February. Would you like review my edits prior to publishing? Thanks, I was not aware of the WP:Pages needing attention/Business list, will take a look at that. Would be happy to review the article you're working on, but not sure it has to be before you publish. Which article is it? One thing I've noticed is that it can be surprisingly difficult to find neutral sources of information on a company, even a large / well-established one, so unfortunately I've taken more of a quantity over quality approach to just fill out details as I come across them. - Indefensible (talk) 06:54, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have contested the speedy deletion of Carpages.ca The article was written about a notable Canadian company in accordance to the third party sources. Replacing the promotional content with content from a neutral point of view is preferable to deletion. Happy to make any edits to the page that you have found to be promotional.

You're probably going to need to agree to not edit about your clients at least for a time. Perhaps once you demonstrate with your edit history that you are aware of what goes into Wikipedia articles(they aren't just for telling about the subject), you might later be permitted to make edit requests. Hi User:331dot, thank you so much for considering my request. What I meant to communicate in the closing sentence was that I had read and fully understood the terms of use. I have never solicited or advertised editing services and have no intention of doing so. This truly was a novice mistake that will not happen again. To answer your question, "What topics unrelated to your clients do you want to edit about?" I had joined the Wikipedia Companies project because I thought that is where my skillset would be the most helpful. Embarrassingly, my intention was to help clean up pages flagged for promotional content and to help pages adhere to template uniformity. Above, January 07, I spoke with another new Companies Project user where I stated this as my goal. I understand if I am no longer allowed to help with the Companies Project. I did not understand that articles are for telling about more than the subject - I would like to help edit articles to adhere to template uniformity, I know my skillset will be of good use there. I don't think that's possible given the apparent nature of the undisclosed relationship. Put simply, I don't trust this editor to write about any attention-seeking or spam-prone subject. Technical edits and minor stuff is fine, but there's no escaping the suspicions of COI and PAID regardless of whether a client relationship exists with this one. MER-C 11:58, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

User:331dot - Yes, I am able to participate without editing any clients, COI or paid.

That is not and was never my intention. Transparency has been my goal which is why I use my full name and do not edit anonymously. The first thing I did was seek mentorship by adding the adoption badge to my user profile. I'm not hiding anything or trying to game the system - I was truly fascinated by a source of factual information that is so highly guarded by volunteers with a common goal.

If it is decided that I am only allowed to make technical edits and "minor stuff" that is fine. I would ask that what I am allowed to do be clearly laid out so that I do not make a mistake and get blocked again.
