Princess Beatrice of York

Please add page 453 to reference number 34 on this page. Thanks again — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.33.125.158 (talk) 06:08, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

I have added it but seems strange for a web page. Keith D (talk) 10:19, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

Ref number 29 has the publisher wrong I think - please help if able and thanks for all of your time and effort. T. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.33.125.158 (talk) 07:56, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

NHLE template

Thanks for updating articles with the correct template. One thing you might keep in mind is that because the template gives the author as Historic England, this can change the place in a bibliography where the source should appear alphabetically. I've fixed this for the articles I track that you've edited (Benty Grange, Benty Grange helmet, Benty Grange hanging bowl, Works of Herbert Maryon), but it might help to remember for articles that are less closely watched. Cheers, --Usernameunique (talk) 18:44, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for the updates. I had not even considered the alpha order when I started to do this, I will have to keep an eye out in future changes. Keith D (talk) 18:47, 14 March 2019 (UTC)

Please could you kindly take a quick glance at Impact Wrestling United We Stand which was created today? It looks like an advertisement for an event, to me. Thanks. Storye book (talk) 21:43, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

It does appear to be for a specific event but there are similar ones for previous events of this type so looks like these have been accepted as notable. May be tag for references, notability and categories, you could add advert as well. Keith D (talk) 22:12, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
Thank you. Storye book (talk) 16:52, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
I went to tag it, but since I posted my question an editor has been working on it. Previously there was just the header, which on its own did look like an advertisement. It still needs improvement but maybe they haven't finished. Storye book (talk) 17:12, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Tidmington

Just finished this one: Tidmington. A user (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Crouch,_Swale#Tidmington) has added a 2001 pop but there's no ref... says there's link rot... very probable. But I so hate no refs with anality. I seem to remember that you have sorted nomis etc. equivalents... can you help here? I can't find anything. I'll have to remove the add if there isn't one. Many thanks. Acabashi (talk) 20:29, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

There is {{NOMIS2001}} template for access to the 2001 census figures but they have not used the parishes for low population figures, as was originally published by ONS, but have gone with a similar scheme as for the 2011 census of amalgamating with an adjacent area. In this case "Burmington/Tidmington Parish" as per
UK Census (2001). "Local Area Report – Burmington/Tidmington Parish (44UE017)". Nomis. Office for National Statistics.
Unsure where they got the figure for 2001 from but should be removed as having no reference at the time of addition. Keith D (talk) 21:36, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
Keith, you're a wizard. As you say... seems they lump Burmington + Tidmington together because the pops are so low. I can work this info into the article based on what you have here. Very many thanks. Acabashi (talk) 21:51, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
Neighbourhood Statistics did provide the 2001 date for small parishes but it was replaced with NOMIS. Crouch, Swale (talk) 22:05, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
I think we have to go with what is available for our readers today, unless there is an archived page that can be accessed. Acabashi (talk) 22:28, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Still a stub?

Hello!

Thank you for editing my page on Gorgasia. I was wondering in your editor opinion if the Gorgasia page that you recently edited is still considered a stub? I am doing this for a school assignment and when deleting a paragraph deleted the stub tag portion of the page by mistake. Our goal of the assignment was to get our articles to no longer be recognized as a stub. Do you think I accomplished this or should the stub tag be reassigned?

Thank you.

Hi, I would certainly not class it as a stub, but at least a Start-class, could be a C-class depending on the project use of that status. Looks like someone has already added a C-class for one of the projects. Keith D (talk) 16:41, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Asking for your comment

Hi. Could you please comment on Talk:USS_Cole_(DDG-67). I have tried to make the claim that is sourced to US official in Fox news, which is that the Houthis are Iranian-backed, between quotations so that we don't make Wikipedia biased by stating the allegation as a fact in Wikipedia voice I have got reverted and the explanation is +3000 and mostly about me having a point of view although I am not actually pushing any point of view. I am simply trying to make Wikipedia more unbiased. I believe since I have seen you around that area many times that you have an opinion about this so I asked you here. It would be great if you commented there. Thanks. SharabSalam (talk) 18:09, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

ETA This is the edit that got reverted. Notice that there are already a quotation mark around "Cole" and other words but not around Iranian-backed--SharabSalam (talk) 18:24, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
I would partly agree with the revert as there should not be italics around Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. The spacing & extra full stop removal where valid edits. Cole would always be italicised as it is the name of a ship which are italicised per WP:ITALICS. Keith D (talk) 18:34, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Alright Cole was not between qoutations my bad I thought that it was quotation marks. In my edit I put Iranian backed Houthis between quotation marks like this "Iranian backed Houthi rabels" which is because it is stated in Wikipedia voice and this is an allegation and has been denied by both Houthis and Iran also by many experts. One of them said that this allegation is "nonsense" even in the article of Houthi movement or Saudi Arabian–led intervention in Yemen the consensus was that the the statement that Houthis are supported is just an allegation and that it should not be regarded as a fact thus I think that we should use quotation marks and not say Iranian-backed Houthis in Wikipedia voice but by the voice of the US official--SharabSalam (talk) 18:55, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
As it is a direct quote from the source then it should be in quote marks to indicate this. Keith D (talk) 21:31, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Hi Keith, I am the other half of the discussion on the the USS Cole talk page. It's unfortunate that SharabSalam didn't notify me of this discussion because it appears he is being somewhat disingenuous. The full quote from the US defense official in the source is;

The Navy sent the USS Cole to the Gulf of Aden following an attack earlier this week on a Saudi warship off Yemen by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels[1]

... It's not just the last four words that should be put into quotes. My explanation for the revert is detailed on the article talk page and has not been represented here. I appreciate you offering advice, but I would invite you to join the discussion there so that you aren't misrepresented as well. Thanks again. Cheers - wolf 16:43, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

University of Bologna

Hey dude, I would appreciate it if you stop reverting the incorrect statement that "University of Bologna is the oldest university in the world" because it is not and never was! That premise is false on many basis and does not stand up to academic and historical facts. The oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution in the world is the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco as mentioned by numerous academic books and encyclopedias. The second oldest university in the world is the Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt founded in 970 way before University of Bologna. If you continue to revise the editing Wikipedia will permanently block and ban both your user name and I.P address. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afg96 (talkcontribs) 16:14, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
