- RichardDehn (talk · contribs)
I ask you to take some time to re-review my proposed wiki page for Tony Chambers. A number of other recipients of the Mark Boxer Award from BSME have entries including Richard Ingrams and Tyler Brule. The Wallpaper* brand is truly global and I know Tony's attention is often drawn to the fact that he does not have a presence on wikipedia. I have tried to write a true and representative entry for someone who has a first rate reputation in global publishing. (RichardDehn (talk) 19:35, 1 January 2017 (UTC))
- Hi RichardDehn the fact that someone would like a Wikipedia page about them has zero relevance here - many do and are declined every day for also not meeting our polices. As does if other people from BSME have articles (see Wikipedia:Other stuff exists). If the Wallpaper* brand is truly global or not also has no relation to an individual unless people have written about them in depth in relation to it. The only thing that matters is does that article meet the policy/standard Wikipedia:Notability (people), and at the moment it would appear not. It requires references that show significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic (i.e. not written by him, the company, or just mentions and passing references). Draft:Hope Funds for Cancer Research Awards of Excellence
With regard to the Hope Funds Award of Excellence article you wanted independent sources. I am new to Wikipedia and generally add and make additions corrections about articles relating to Newport, RI where I live and am not 100% up on citations but there is good documentation including: https://meyercancer.weill.cornell.edu/news/2016-05-09/cantley-becomes-hope-funds-honoree http://www.newportri.com/newportlifemagazine/features/a-beacon-of-hope/article_19fd5f06-da3f-11e5-8cdb-772a13243334.html http://www.news-medical.net/news/20140328/Tgen-professor-to-receive-2014-Hope-Funds-Award-for-developing-numerous-cancer-treatments.aspx https://www.hhmi.org/scientist-awards/hope-fund-cancer-research-award-excellence
and a copy of a print article not posted to the web: http://www.hope-funds.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/NLM_HopeFunds.pdf
I would also note that all of the Hope Funds honorees have independent Wikipedia pages of their own and have citations and references to the Hope Funds Awards of Excellence included on them without comment or change for many years.
I do apologize that I am not more sophisticated in my Wiki editing but do feel that the topic of the Hope Funds Awards of Excellence is one worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia and would appreciate your help and guidance to that purpose.
Sincerely, Ross Cann — Preceding unsigned comment added by RossCann (talk • contribs) 17:25, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi RossCann, don't worry about being new to editing we all learn the same way. You need to add the references to your draft article Draft:Hope Funds for Cancer Research Awards of Excellence not post here... for help with how best to add references see Help:Referencing for beginners. The key thing with Wikipedia articles is that everything should ideally be referenced (so people can verify). Although it is fine to reference the awards on each recipients page, this does not automatically make the awards notable in there own right. Notability is the set of policies/standards that we use to determine if a subject can have its own article - in this case Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) - so you need to add enough references to your draft to meet that standard. Lastly note that a good place to ask for help/advise when starting out is the Wikipedia:Teahouse where lots of experiences editors and admins try to help new users. Cheers! I recently learned the syntax for making references and will include those is any future drafts submitted. --Ross

Dear Kylie Tastic May I seek your kind attention and guidance regarding repeated undoing of edits which I did on Military Hospital Rawalpindi page. Kindly guide me how can I update the information on this page. Kind Regards Mehmood Sultan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.255.6.107 (talk) 17:20, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 103.255.6.107, I can not see any edits you made to Military Hospital Rawalpind - as you are not logged in I assume you are MH.Helmsman. You can update the information on the page but it should be sourced and it should be written in a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view - i.e. not promotional. So no using phrases such as "state of the art", or "offers comprehensive health" without a source to back it up, or using <big> tags, and claims that it is recognised by the General Medical Council of the UK need sources to back up the claims. So please do update, but with referenced information and remembering this is an Encyclopaedia not a marketing brochure or website. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 19:57, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Clockwork Orange
Thanks Kylie, for reviewing my submission. I think you missed the point that the book came before the movie and therefore the movie cannot be used as the source. If the Wiki article states this, it is wrong. That is putting the cart before the horse.
- Hi AlanEnglert I assume you're talking about something in particular on the A Clockwork Orange (novel) article? If its something you feel you can fix then do so (see Wikipedia:Be bold, or you can bring it up on the talk page of the article (i.e. Talk:A Clockwork Orange (novel)). On either users or article talk pages just use the "New section" link next to the edit top-right to start a new section. - We are of the same mind. Thanks Hmains (talk) 21:44, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
It is noticed that you advice to delete the page. We tried to come forward to the advices concerning the references and deleted references linked to Universities, companies, and some magazines. It seems that all were interpreted as promotional meanings. However we do believe the importancy of adding this article to wikipedia as Ludwig Albert is an important pioneer and developper abroad of the marimba. If out try-out keeps being interpreted as promotion, then however a lot of wikipedia articles of marimbists can not be handled as an example or reliable source. It will be appreciated to give some more advice or exact details what preferences might be misplaced. Marika Hansen (talk) 22:18, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Marika Hansen basically all articles need to be well referenced with independent reliable sources and meet one of our Notability standards. However that does not mean you can not still include other references that although may not show Notability can be still used to act as valid references to other text. I would suggesting adding as many references as you can find that talk about the subject in detail (i.e. not just places their name is just mentioned). A lot of the review procedure is judging Notability in this case probably meeting the policy Wikipedia:Notability (people). Adding in-line references is best (see Help:Referencing for beginners) but if your having trouble the easiest is to just add the url at each point in the text is concerns with ref tags i.e. . Also if you want help advise at any point you can ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse and have multiple experienced editors and admins answer and questions. I have added a few references to the article which may have made it better
i need help
it's a Scottish band so information about is scarce in the internet
it is one of the important bands in the slam metal genre
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slam
which doesn't have a wiki page yet
the band rose popularity due to a meme that's why a lot of the articles referenced in the page mention about the band logo rather than the band itself
but i have improved the article since you reviewed it
i need help with this article ,if it is still not eligible for publishing
Tompyro (talk) 08:52, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Tompyro good to see you've added references since you only had 1 when I reviewed it. Note that other editors have made other comments since at the head of the article. Also I'm not not sure why you think that because a band is Scottish would make it scare on the internet? In the information age bands can become successful where ever they are located. On English Wikipedia we have a set of Notability standards/polices that we have to apply to new articles, in this case Wikipedia:Notability (music) applies, although sometimes subjects pass on just general notability see Wikipedia:Notability. As they are "Slam metal" they would probably never be able to pass criteria 2,3,8 or 11 but that still leaves several. Most such bands pass as per the comment on the article on criteria 1 "Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself", or 5 "Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels". A quick look on Amazon shows "Bong Hit Hospitalisation" was released on "Gorehouse Productions" which does not appear to fit this, but even if it could be argued they where an important label for this genre the band would still need a second full album (not demo). I don't have time to read the sources, but other have already that it needs more major reviews not just about the logo. If you can find more please add them, especially about the first full album, if not it may just be Wikipedia:Too soon for them. Note for input advise from a wider group of experienced editors you can ask at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:46, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Revert on Perunad
In the lead, a sentence containing this lack of spacing exists: "Perunad is chiefly a plantation village, the important cash crop being rubber, pepper, ginger, coconut and food crops like tapioca". I'll try to fix the rest of it without breaking references. I looked at it after I did it and it looked fine. There's only ONE reference so surely, you could have fixed it without reverting. The lack of spacing after periods and commas is incorrect.
- Revision: It was simple to fix. the article should be good now. --Jennica✿ / talk 18:44, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
- (e/c) Hi Jennica it wasn't only one reference, it was also an image, but also with a quick scan it looked like a ton of extra spaces where ones existed so now double spaced; also spaces on the end of lines after periods; a case of an ellipsis changing from "Velliyapalam..." to "Velliyapalam. . .", luckily wiki-links are smart so the extra space in 33kV Substation, Perunad did not break it. So allthough I agree the lists without spaces etc is both wrong and ugly, overall it looked like more erroneous spaces where added than correct ones hence the revert. However looks like you've fix all that and more so in the end we have what we all want a better end product. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 18:58, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi KylieTastic,
Thank you for your feedback as to my article. Could you be a bit more specific as to why the sources used by me are considered 'biased'? In my humble opinion, an article compiled by the Miss Universe Organisation endorsing Chanelle de Lau as this country's representative, is a reliable source (when it comes to pageantry)...
Would for example the following source be at a satisfactory level: https://thegreatpageantcommunity.com/2016/10/05/chanelle-de-lau-miss-curacao/
When it comes to relevance of this article on Wikipedia, please be advised that several contestants have a similar page on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mariam_Habach
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Curacao Passion (talk) 07:49, 13 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Curacao Passion just a quick answer as I've just got to work and might be busy the rest of the weekend. Fistly the decline note does not say 'biased'. Wikipedia has a set of Wikipedia:Notability policies that determine the requirements for a new arctile to be allowed. Note that Wikipedia:Notability is differnt from importance or many other ways people may think a topic is generally notable, and a general rule is we usually require significant coverage in reliable sources independent secondary sources. The sub-policy that most applies here is Wikipedia:Notability (people). The Other stuff exists argument is almost never a good one, as it's probbaly more likley to result in the existing article being deleted for not meeting the standards than get a new one approved. The Mariam Habach article is undersourced and could be challenged. The point of this review procedure is to try to stop articles going to the mainspace to then just be challenged and deleted. So what yoou need to find and add are as many independant sources that talk about the subject, so yes the thegreatpageantcommunity.com article is a good start, but look to see if you can find more - and they don't have to be in English if any local articles are in Dutch or Papiamentu. - Hi Curacao Passion you have resubmitted it will be picked up by someone - so it may be myself or more probbaly one of the other many reviewers. I did just quickly look and glad to see several sources. Being at work I can not look at them so the only commnet I would make is it would be better in the sources were inline - i.e. move each to the end of the section it is relevant for. Obviously this is less of an issue for smaller articles, but as they get bigger its best to be able to see which text goes with which source. Also if a source is applicable to more than one location see 'Same reference used more than once'. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 13:11, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Tanwarhimanshu I reviewed it when it was like this without any references, and that was why I declined it. SwisterTwister than declined it a few days later when it did have references but obviously did not feel they met the policy standard for notability we use i.e. Wikipedia:Notability (people). I don't have time to look into the refs at the moment (real life sometimes demands I spend more time with it) but a quick look would suggest, at least when last declined, that all the links were just to him work. Notability is not gained by doing things (i.e. shows, works, products, books, articles, etc.) but that others have noticed and cared and written about the subject. For instance Tolkien only wrote a few works but they and he have been written about endlessly, but there are many authors who have published (especially self-published) many more works but no one writes about them. What the policy Wikipedia:Notability (people) asks for is significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic. independent being a key part, i.e. other writing about Vijay Kedia not just references to things Vijay Kedia has done. Hope that helps explain things KylieTastic (talk) 19:09, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Maizajean sorry I don't understand what your asking? If by your "help page" you mean your declined submission User:Maizajean/sandbox then no you cant link Charles Boileau Elliott to that page, but yes you can link that from your draft. To create a link like Charles Boileau Elliott you just put double square brackets around the article name i.e. Charles Boileau Elliott (see Help:Link). Note just being a real person is not enough to get a Wikipedia article, a subject has to meet our WP:Notbailty standards/polices. In this case Sir Charles Elliott would have to meet Wikipedia:Notability (people) and generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic. Sorry, I didn't know that IMDB was considered an unreliable source. I've added links to the BAFTA website for details of the awards. For the other programmes, I've cited the BBFC. As a statutory body, hopefully that's sufficient.
BTW, one reason I added this page is becuase there are endless links in Wikipedia to the wrong Tony Dow (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Dow) and I got fed up reading questions like this: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost.php?s=0700d8bbf95e49a2cb8eaa48647fcbb6&p=56485303&postcount=97

- Hi Kindadella, a very quick answer as I'm at work... Yes IMDB is no classsed as reliabel tfor the same reason Wikipedia isn't - i.e. anyone can add the data and in the case of IMDB with no sources to fact check. Unfortunatley some people so actually add the topics they are trying to promote to IMDB and other editable sources in an attempt to get a Wikipedia page. As for your other point if you look on the left hand side menu you should see a "What links here" link in the tools section that will help find all refnerces to a page in this case Special:WhatLinksHere/Tony_Dow. Hope that helps KylieTastic (talk) 11:05, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

DC. etc. Will one ref do? If not, how should they be arranged?
Gardengirl14 (talk) 16:19, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Gardengirl14, there is no easy answer to "how many refrences" but just to remember two points. First is that referneces are needed to show WP:Notability in this case as defined by Wikipedia:Notability (people). As such a reference would not be needed for multiple copies of the same work. Secondly refernces are for the purpose of WP:Verifiability, so you just need enough refernces to cover the key points and anything controversial etc. So I would say you have plenty to cover the works, the thing I'm not so sure about is showing that they were a notable person, rather than just a person who has work in notable places, or worked with notable artists. It looks ilke the key references for the lead and biography sections are not specific enough for someone to be abel to verify. You could either submit again for feedback from another reviewer, or ask at the AFC help desk from the "ask a question" link on the decline notice, or ask for advise at the Wikipedia:Teahouse were you'll get the benefit of lot of experienced editors trying to help. - Hi DeJahDianeD, it gives the explanation in the grey portion of the decline notice - a person need to meet the standard Wikipedia:Notability (people) by adding reliable sources including ones that are independent of the topic. This has not references at all. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:03, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

17:26:00, 23 January 2017 for AfC submission by Tyttcfm
Hello,
I was wondering if you could take a look at my 4 week old draft on a physics professor. It was denied previously due to not meeting notability requirements. I have since updated the page several times and believe it meets the criteria now. If not, please let me know and I'll update it further.
Here is the draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Yasunobu_Nakamura
This professor was a pioneer of the "charge qubit" outlined on this page. He has also made many other significant contributions to superconducting quantum computing over the years - a paper he wrote is a reference as added by another user in recent weeks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superconducting_quantum_computing
There are a number of other approved pages for researchers in the general field of quantum information processing, of similar notability. A quick search of his Google Scholar page will show that he's authored papers with and been cited by numerous physicists who have Wikipedia pages. For example: Jeremy_O'Brien Raymond_Laflamme Yoshihisa_Yamamoto_(scientist) David_Cory Jaw-Shen_Tsai Christopher_Monroe Michel_Devoret
Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tyttcfm (talk • contribs) 22:28, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Tyttcfm, I'll try to get to look at it sometime this week, but the Wikipedia:Notability (academics) policy is a complex thing to judge, and although I'm an Inclusionist I would not want to accept something just to have it flagged for deletion by another editor. The thing to always consider is unfortunately Wikipedia is not about how 'important' someone's work is but if other have noticed. Thus some people/organisations doing great work do not qualify, but some celebrities that are known for just being known are 'notable'. So without looking deeply at it, what would be best is reliable sources that are independent for things such as the "Known for". So although getting published in Nature is a big deal, for Wikipedia a better thing is a source that shows someone else noticed - i.e. it may be important work, it may be published important work, but did anyone else write about it as important work. Also the awards section looks like it needs some references - I must admit I do not recognise the awards so have no idea how important or not each are. Also most of the time the Other stuff exists argument only back fires - if an article passes a policy/standard it odes it on its own, if other articles exist that do not then they are more likely to be deleted than help getting a new article in. Lastly I'm sorry it's taken this long to review, but it is all just volunteer work and we have only recently got the backlog down from thousands, and on the positive side SwisterTwister only said the 'prof test' was questionable and no one has declined it, which shows that the article is probably close to the standards. So as I said at the start, I'll try to find the time soon, but lots of real life work and Wiki vandalism to do as well. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 23:51, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick response KylieTastic. Luckily SwisterTwister just approved it shortly after I made this post on your page. No worries, it's live now! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasunobu_Nakamura Thanks for the explanation, I'll keep it in mind as I contribute to Wikipedia in the future! Tyttcfm (talk) 03:34, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Tyttcfm, glad to hear it - I notice that the Awards has been tagged as Martin Wood is to a disambiguation page hot the person intended, and also [citation needed] added for the awards with no refs. So it would be good if you could sort that link and find some refs as others could remove the claims without sources. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 09:45, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
Attraction Profile
Hi there! I am trying to create a simple, informative wiki page for a London attraction. I've seen that the London Eye, View from the Shard, O2 Arena and others have them. I've drafted it up, could I send it to you for feedback?
regards,
Greg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gswaby (talk • contribs) 13:43, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Gswaby, the thing to consider is new articles need to meet the WP:Notability guidelines so yes the London Eye meets that easily as it's well known even internationally and widely written about, however I don't know that "Thames Rockets" is (I certainly hadn't heard of it). So first look at the WP:Notability guidelines and see if you think there will be enough sources to show this. you can then either add more, submit (I'm added the template so you have a submit button now) or if you have any more questions I recommend the Wikipedia:Teahouse as you can then get answers from many experienced editors and admins not just waiting for a single editors reply. Hope that helps KylieTastic (talk) 14:53, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello KylieTastic! Should I have someone else submit the info? The references are on IMDB. Thanks! Bruce
Draft:Bruce Michael (actor)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Brucemichaelsheinbart (talk • contribs) 21:23, 24 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Bruce, IMDB is not considered a reliable source. Generally articles require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic. Assuming the list in IMDB is accurate it looks like just minor parts and is unlikely you meet the notability requirements (see Wikipedia:Notability (people)). Lastly just asking someone else submit for you would mean they too would be editing with a WP:Conflict of interest. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:31, 24 January 2017 (UTC)

Dr. Pankaj Jha Jan 23, 2017
hello Kylie , I am trying to create wiki for Dr.Pankaj Jha (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Pankaj_Jha_(Entrepreneur_and_Scientist) ) , I am getting feedback as my article looks like advertisement could you please let me know what i am doing wrong.
- Hi 207.181.193.226, firstly the important thing to know is an article needs to meet our notability standards to be included - in this case Wikipedia:Notability (people) applies. Next is this is an Encyclopedia and thus must be written in a WP:Neutral point of view and thus the first sentence is way to promotional - words like "distinguished" are not appropriate. The rest of the lead is more about WhyWeWant than the person, and again in the info box a list of the WhyWeWant companies twice. None of the links in the infobox are websites about the subject but his companies so do not belong. As such this looks more like an attempt to promote WhyWeWant than an Encyclopedic article on Pankaj Jha. Currently the article looks like a page you would find on easy of his websites fro "about the founder". If you look at Wikipedia:Notability (people) you will note that it is not enough to have done things, we require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic, and none of the current sources appear to fit this. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:48, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
About article of National Anthem of IR Iran
Hello Kylie. This is about your edit on 22nd January on the article. I just want to know why that file you've deleted was deserved to be deleted. That was been downloaded from an open source website and was official instrumental track of National Anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Thank you. پارسا کشاورز (talk) 09:35, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi پارسا کشاورز, I only removed the link to the file that had already been deleted File:Nation Anthem of Islamic Republic of Iran.ogg was deleted by Fastily for the reason "(F4: Lack of licensing information)". You had a notification posted on your talk page on the 14 January that the image did not have the a valid licence tag. If the file was from a suitably 'free' source then you could either upload again using the Wizard and make sure all the required sections are filled in, or you could go to Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion and ask for deletion by including the source link so the copyright/licence can be verified. Hope that helps, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 14:30, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
Your refusal re the John Willison article is grotesque, to put it mildly
I have an idea for you: Why don't you pass this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:John_Willison
on to a railway expert? As a programmer and astronomist, you are probably not in a position to even sense the significance of this article.
A person interested in this subject would then also follow my suggestion to get in touch with the researcher, Dave Harris at the The Midland Railway Study Centre, http://midlandrailwaystudycentre.org.uk/ . I am certain he will be in a position to convince you. He has done the research, I've just done the typing.
Final tip: Don't make final decisions on subjects foreign to you unless you want to be regarded as a candidate for politics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.93.206.226 (talk) 22:48, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- It's not a case of being "in a position to even sense the significance of this article" it is a case that we have a very simple policy - things must be suitably referenced and pass the Wikipedia:Notability standards. Those references must be enough in this case to show that Wikipedia:Notability (people) is met. There is no "final decision" as you put it, just a decline as it is not yet up to the policies and standards of Wikipedia. Instead of coming complaining and thinking we should go chase the researcher, why not work on the article yourself to improve the referencing? If they are as an important as you suggest it should be easy to reach the standards required. Also if you think having an article about someone declined as just not having enough sources yet is "grotesque" then you must have led a very blessed life and not seen the truly many grotesque things in the world. We have hundreds of articles a day submitted, thus it is up to the submitters to work on them as although many of us try to help improve them we do not have the time to work on every article. Finally per your "Final tip", we expect those who are knowledgeable in the subjects to do the work in showing the information is reliable so people who then read the article have the links to follow to make them trust the information is not just a persons opinion. KylieTastic (talk) 23:49, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- I will not engage in any tit-for-tat. Again, I am convinced if you showed a constructive attitude and passed the draft on to someone specialising in railway matters, he would immediately recognise the significance. Even *you* might grasp it, if you went to 'SA3 coupler', then read it and saw that this system was developped by exactly *the* John Willison we are talking about, and there still is no article about him (in contrast to other such developpers like fx Janney or Scharfenberg - ie because *you* and your formalistic, bureaucratic attitude prevent it from becoming visible. - I as the 'typer' am not in a position to pursue this matter. I have asked the researcher, Dave Harris at The Midland Railway Study Centre, to take care of things henceforth. I see you're both in Britain, so you might even have a phone call with each other - provided your holy regulations permit, of course. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.93.206.226 (talk) 07:14, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

- It seems visualeditor must have bugged in some way, I did not edit those parts. However it would have been better to simply inform me of this or correct it without reverting everything else. Nevermind, no hard feelings, lets drop this. Carl Fredrik 💌 📧 23:35, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi CFCF, Oh ok - Yes, I tried the visualeditor a couple of times but also found it buggy and odd on occasions. I reverted as it just looked like standard random vandalism, especially as you gave no edit summary as to why. We have so many edits like this that are not constructive so as per WP:BRD you see something odd you revert, then you really should have asked why or at least wondered why I reverted (i.e. looked at the actual edit to see if a mistake was made). However, all fixed up and clearly just a simple misunderstanding and stupid buggy software ;) All the best KylieTastic (talk) 23:50, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

We have posted an article for review more than 10 days ago. However, it has not been reviewed yet. Can you please advise if it is normal that articles take so long to be reviewed? Thanks and Regards. MelvinFarrugia (talk) 13:56, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Hi MelvinFarrugia, unfortunately we don't have enough volunteers to keep up with the reviews as they come in and yes many can take up to a few weeks. We currently have 463 outstanding and as you can see at Category:AfC pending submissions by age many have been waiting much longer. The new submissions tend to be looked at quickly for any easy accepts/declines - then the others get dealt with as people can. I'm personally doing less as I'm back full time at work and other real-life things. So yes, it can take a while but unfortunately it's just one of several areas with a backlog as Wikipedia does not get enough volunteers. If you want more advise from a wider selection of experienced editors I suggest the Wikipedia:Teahouse. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 16:02, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

Why did you restore this to a BLP as a free image? The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Treated like dirt by many administrators since 2006. (talk) 22:57, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hey Hullaballoo Wolfowitz, I may have just missed it but where in Wikipedia:Non-free content does it say BLP articles cannot have NFC images? Yes I agree a lot of the time people are just lazy and free images do exist or could reasonably be expected to be obtained when someone is still alive, but not always. If I've missed a policy then sorry but your edit didn't point to any policy and it was odd to add "nonfree image in BLP infobox" instead of the image (as well as the edit summary). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 23:14, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- Oh and I just realised I shouldn't edit when sick as my edit comment was totally bogus as well! Damn, I have no idea how I could look at those image tags and put "not unfree" - so sorry about that, my error on that one! KylieTastic (talk) 23:21, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- WP:NFC#UUI#1 lists Pictures of people still alive, groups still active, and buildings still standing; provided that taking a new free picture as a replacement (which is almost always considered possible) would serve the same encyclopedic purpose as the non-free image. Since the purpose of an infobox image is simply identification of the article subject, even an iconic image is replaceable. It's not an absolute rule, but the exceptions are pretty much limited to prisoners serving life or very lengthy sentences, fugitives, and the permanently institutionalized. New Page Review - newsletter No.2
- A HUGE backlog
We now have 818 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.
The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.
- Second set of eyes
Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.
- Abuse
This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and
- this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
- this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
- This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.
Coordinator election
Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

microbar draft
Hello KylieTastic,
thank you for reviewing my submission. I thought I made the correct notation in the appropriate place and way, to verify that the artwork in the image was created by me. I used
I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. If this is not legally possible: |
in the same place as I saw it in another article edit. This is my first attempt at using Wikipedia, as you may know, and for me it's a bit overwhelming. If you would kindly provide some guidance on this matter, I would appreciate it. David
PS. no worries about a possible slow response from you Dlhamann (talk) 02:09, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi David don't worry about it feeling a bit overwhelming - many people find that at first, but things become a lot clearer quite quick for most. There is no trouble with the image it was tagged correctly, the only thing is it's now flagged for moving to commons and you could have uploaded it direct to commons first - the benefit of this is images on commons can be used on any language Wikipedias. As for the review/decline of Draft:Microbar it was because the article is unreferenced. All articles need to be referenced with independent reliable sources to show Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Notability. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:37, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
Thank you KylieTastic for the explanation. I'll look into this soon. Is there a deadline for my action to correct the issue? Dlhamann (talk) 11:40, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dlhamann no hurry, that's the point of the draft space - a place for people to work on articles at their own speed. The only deadline I'm aware off is a draft article can be flagged for deletion if not edited for 6 months. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:07, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

Oh sorry I didn't mean to be rude just I still not so good with wiki yet i wasn't even sure you would get my message. I just wanted to thank you a lot for fixing the page! It's been almost a year since this has started.. a jealous opponent who lost a fight and didn't accept the verdict now changed things written on the page all the time. So frustrating! I can't keep it under control all the time. I didn't make this page I only contribute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jalma31 (talk • contribs) 04:35, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- Jalma31 no worries, I didn't take it as being rude - it's just not something a lot of us do as openness is part of the projects ethos. Generally if you leave a message on someones talk page they will see it unless they have 'retired' and turned of all notifications. Unfortunately such vandalism is something we just have to deal with under the policy of anyone can edit (i.e. no need to create an account). If it gets persistent then you can ask for the page to be protected and stop unregistered editors editing, but the admins do expect quite a high level of persistent vandalism - this would be done at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. I've already tried! But first I'm not a native english and sometimes it's hard also for me to understand how things are explained here (the italian wikipedia has a different sistem but it doesn't help with english sections). 16:53:18, 15 February 2017 review of submission by JJmills
Hello,
I was wondering what caused the page I contributed to be declined. A similar business, "Spigen" (5 years younger) has a wikipedia page using the same sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spigen
again, the submission I sent is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Abacus_24-7
they both use the same sources and template, yet Spigen was approved and Abacus 24-7 was not. May I ask what my submission is missing?
Thank you!
- Hi JJmills other stuff exists is almost never a good argument - after just a quick look I would think Spigen does also not meet the standards of Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). However the big difference is the Spigen article has several reviews directly about Spigen or its products where the Draft:Abacus_24-7 references are not about Abacus but the products are just one on a list of products. - Hi Soccererer, I assume the url your referring to is https://www.oldstatehouse.com/LiteratureRetrieve.aspx?ID=159334 but maybe not as it does not have the "Darth, Dumas" in the title - the ref you added on Arkansas gubernatorial election, 1968 is just text so it's unclear if this is the source you meant (see Help:Referencing for beginners for more info in adding fuller references). I only edited the topic as I do general clean-up, and anti-vandalism so I'm not familiar with the topic so can't really be of much help. Why my edit deleted? Thank you
Hi,
I made an edit for "Atasehir" the district where I live but it was deleted by you I guess. My edit was about to inform readers about a public library that anyone can go. I was very excited about this edit since I believe that libraries are one of the best possessions of a city / district. Library means to read, to read means to be educated, educated means to be able to think in a precise way, and thinking is the essence of everything in life.
I don't know how to use Wikipedia very well but when I look into "view history" I have seen an action by you as below. I will be very pleased if you can inform me about what this means and why my edit was deleted?
"KylieTastic (talk | contribs) . . (6,320 bytes) (-233) . . (Reverted good faith edits by Esin28 (talk): WP:DIRECTORY. (TW)) (undo | thank)"
Thanks,

Esin28 (talk) 19:51, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Esin28, I agree libraries are very important and wish more people were excited by them. However Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia not a directory (see the policy WP:DIRECTORY) so we do not have opening times and phone numbers. Also the image File:Atasehir in winter was not valid as all images must be uploaded WP:UPIMAGE (copyright allowing). You can add general information such as having a library, it's name, location, any other facilities it offers, but not non Encyclopedic details such as opening times and contact details. Also note that all content should be sourced so if the library of government have a web page backuping up the information you should add that. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:00, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Footgolf article
The UK Footgolf website removes the rankings every year, so there is nothing online that can be cited as far as I'm aware, save the screenshot I have of the rankings from last year! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.252.80.100 (talk) 18:44, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 143.252.80.100 unfortunately all article must be sourced for verifiability to show notability - however note you can use https://archive.org/ to get links to old website pages. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:48, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Archive not working, doesn't seem to show old rankings. Have managed to link to a BBC News article from yesterday which shows he is the Director of Footgolf Scotland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.252.80.100 (talk) 20:09, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Articles with missing files
Just wanted to say thanks for catching the broken image. Both occurrences were due to my AWB editing. I think the first time I goofed because of a hyphen-to-dash conversion that hosed a file name. The fail yesterday was because I hadn't noticed the file name was so long – I'd thought I was editing the caption. Anyway, two thanks, and I can start making a habit of checking the tracking category after each run. Dawnseeker2000 01:39, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dawnseeker2000 no worries, pity that the software does not point out the errors created that it has already parsed to red-link the file and add the cat, it would help a lot of users that make the occasional mistake (including me). Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:22, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
16:42:09, 9 March 2017 review of submission by 81.139.222.105
Hi I'm very new to this and just wanted to understand what specifically was wrong with the article as I believed it to be factual and link back to relevant pages about the subject. Does the wiki article require many off wiki links (other websites, blogs etc) in order to be successful?
Any guidance you can give would be hugely helpful
Thanks81.139.222.105 (talk) 16:42, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 81.139.222.105 Wikipedia uses a set of notability guidelines to determine which subjects qualify for an article. For subjects that meet these standards they must use references to reliable sources so the information and notability are verifiable. In this case the notability standards would be Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) or the general Wikipedia:Notability guidelines. For sourcing see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources Wikipedia:Verifiability and Help:Referencing for beginners. For help from multiple editors you can ask questions at the Wikipedia:Teahouse a place for new editors. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:35, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
Complaint - I would like name ofr article Ivan Artaza unblocked
Hello,
This article was made in good faith as I am a new user. The article is about a Journalist from Spain with qualifications and 15 years of work experience in London.
The guys in Wikipedia Spain never warned me, they deleted 3 times my article and they blocked me so I will never be able to create an article under the name Ivan Artaza which is the name I use to sign my articles on the internet and the media.
EduardoSalga and others have insulted me with comments like "Wikipedia is not for divas".
In Wikipedia Spain there is people with articles about them not worth at all, like a woman who became pregnant of a bullgighter and she has been talking about that for the last 15 years on the television or pseudo actors and bizarre people with 0 professional experience.
The guys in Wikipedia Spain they believe they are Gods so they are not neutral, they accept what they like and they reject what they don't like.
They rejected an article about my uncle (a Journalist) with a reference attached (about his death published by the newspaper as news) they didn't bother to read it and they said it was not something appropiate for Wikipedia. The article was about José Antonio Montoto García.
Another article about my cousin Giuseppe Montoto, a Journalist, was deleted when there was a reference attached to it (videos on the internet about him on television).
And about myself, I attached a letter from another Journalist writing about me on the media and they deleted me, 3 times as Ivan Artaza and another time as Ivan Perez-Montoto Rodriguez (this time was made by another user, Journalist Carlos Fresneda, a correspondent in London).
I find it really unfair that this guys believe they are Judges and they accept any rubbish people on the site and me, with my academic background and experience, I am vetoed.
This guy EduardoSalgad called another guy on Wikipedia, I can show the message, and he called me diva and divas are not accepted on Wikipedia.
So what is acceptable and what is not for Wikipedia Spain. There is a huge collection of freaks with articles on the Wikipedia Spain.
I haven't made up anything, on the contrary I have offered them to provide with academic and work references and they haven't answered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ivan Artaza (talk • contribs) 14:10, 13 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Ivan Artaza each language Wikipedia runs under it's own local rules so complaining here on English Wikipedia wont help. However I assume it was deleted for the same reasons as here for not meeting the policies. Eduardosalg is an administrator on Spainish Wikipedia and the comments they left on your talk page appear to just be explaining policy not insulting you (although I admit my Spanish is very bad). Yamiche Alcindor draft article
THANK YOU for rejecting the ugliest, dumbest, and most viciously racist vandalism I have ever run across in many years of using this wonderful self-managed encyclopedia. You are a gem, KylieTastic! And Yamiche Alcindor is also a gem ... and a rising star in American journalism! I hope the REAL Yamiche Alcindor Wikipedia page is online soon (and never vandalized again ... obviously too much to hope for). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pwwiki2 (talk • contribs) 19:18, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
John Anderson Thompson photos
Hello there, thanks for fixing Johns page yesterday, I had a bear of a time with the new interface. I have more photos of him to upload, can you send me a procedure to doing so so I don't F it up again.
Reg — Preceding unsigned comment added by Regriemer (talk • contribs) 18:34, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Regriemer, no worries on the fix and in future if you have issues I'd suggest asking at the Wikipedia:Teahouse a place where lots of experienced editors try to help new editors. Looking at your edits on John Anderson-Thomson I can comment on each to say what was wrong so you understand (I hope) but also Wikipedia:Picture tutorial may help.
- edit 1 was almost correct: images at the top almost always go on the right (in fact 'left' is used sparingly as it often just disrupts text, and Wikipedia is mostly for reading), the default is right so you can just not include; secondly the size the display size, nut the image size, hence it was too big. Again this is normally left the default as people view on different size screen from huge to tiny. So was all that was needed.
- edit 2 :File:John Janet Anderson Thompson - 7.jpg Firstly the extra colon on the front stops the default action (in this case to display as an image) so it just shows a link to the file (i.e. File:John Janet Anderson Thompson - 7.jpg), this can also be used for things such as would add the category to the bottom of the page but :Category:Canadian engineers is a way to link it in text so it looks like Category:Canadian engineers ; Secondly without a 'thumb' or size the image would have shown full size. So it's [[File:, then the filename (case sensitive, including the file extension), then a pipe | to break sections, 'thumb' to say render a thumbnail sized image another | and then a caption.
- edit 3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:John_Janet_Anderson_Thompson_-_4.jpg is the full path to the image but needs to be used as per the previous description without the domain etc (i.e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/). So a side note is that hot-linking external images is not valid so all images need to be uploaded locally or over on commons.
- edit 4 you did almost all the corrections as above points but left the path in, and no caption.
- Hopefully that's helped explain things - and although the wiki markup may appear confusing at first, it's mostly not that complex and once you know it makes sense pretty quickly (and you can always ask for help). I'll put a welcome message on your talk page after this with some helpful info and links for reference. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 19:19, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Hadaryih16 yes AfC appears to have gotten very backed-up with over 900 articles waiting and worse nearly 300 3 weeks old or worse. Unfortunately, I've not had the time for Wikipedia recently with work and health issues. Two places you could try asking for feedback would be the Wikipedia:Teahouse or Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. Unfortunately this is the problem with volunteer systems. Sorry I can't be of more help. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:40, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Migyur Dorje entry
Whoever wrote this entry is ignorant. If you look at the Tibetan Wylie transcript, it's mi-gyur, there's no N. It's ridiculous and misleading to add the N. You can see in references, the official biography of terton Migyur Dorje written by the keepers of the lineage. I have just discussed with Khenpo Sonam Tsewang, the writer, and he is absolutely clear on the spelling. What more can I do to prove this? I have also written to Rigpa Wiki, they might have caused this misunderstanding. Bugso (talk) 10:33, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Bugso I would assume what has happened is the native name is "Mi'gyur" but it was romanised as Mingyur - Google Scholar links show 43 results for "Mingyur Dorje" and 20 for "Migyur Dorje". These types of issue are common hence we end up with a policy such as WP:COMMONNAME. Also there was no single person who wrote the article but a collaboration. It was originally created by User:ZuluPapa5 who did use "Migyur Dorje" the page was moved with this by CFynn with the comment "usual name". So maybe a good step would be to leave them a message. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:20, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
A10 and sandboxes
Hi, just a note regarding this edit. You've done a good job of spotting that there already exists an article on this topic. However, the new article was a significantly expanded version, and when you tagged it per WP:A10 and it got deleted, the newly contributed content was lost. The optimal solution I guess would have been to move that back to the sandbox of the user who created it and to offer help in merging its content into the main article. I've dealt with that, so no further action is necessary now. Thanks! – Uanfala (talk) 12:09, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
Now I notice that you've been around for some time, so the above is probably nothing new to you. Sorry if that's the case. – Uanfala (talk) 12:10, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Uanfala, I did notice after I tagged it that is was an expanded project and so I left a note on the talk page noting this and suggesting the deleting admin actually move back to the user area without a redirect - but I guess they didn't. I wish that it was the default for admins to think if rather then taking delete tags as literal they considered if moving back to either the users area or the draft area was more appropriate (obviously when not for copyright etc). I had meant to add an explantation on the users page to why it was tagged and how it should have been done but I got distracted as I was only doing a few edits between test runs at work. Thanks for sorting it out for them. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:20, 13 April 2017 (UTC)

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:38, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Anna Frodesiak thanks for the thought but I've seen enough of the RfAs to know they can be quite hostile and Civility can go out of the window. Also I know a large number consider article creation (and GA) a huge deal and I have created none. I've never been quite sure why creation is such a big deal for some over protecting and improving the 5+ million existing articles we have. I thought I would be creating some when I started but I've not found much in the many areas that interest me that do not already exist, and the vandalism and new user engagement always keeps me too busy to work on new fringe articles. So thanks, but I think I'll skip playing the admin Piñata game, at least at this time. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:40, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie. People bugged me for ages to run. I thought the same as you. There was no poll around at the time either. I was terrified, for nothing it turned out. I was pleasantly surprised. I had, and still have, no GA anything and was weak in a number of areas. You are not. You are good everywhere and a better editor than me. Plus, the last admin to pass did so in the sixty percentish area. You may be up in the 90% support area.
- So, why not take the poll? It's only a poll, and I know you are brave enough for that. See what others say. A bit of critique is good for us. It makes us stronger. And it makes the unknown known. That is good. And at an actual RfA, you just answer the questions KylieTastically, something you could do easily. Ignore opposers. Let the chips fall as they may. Then, well, think of yourself as an admin. I think you'd like it. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:54, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

Jeong Mong-ju (with "-") and not Jeong Mongju.
Hello KylieTastic. Yes, you made a mistake and I see that you don't understand it. Please don't correct that "-" again and again, and let Jeong Mong-ju and not Jeong Mongju.
I don't need to provide a reliable source as you asked, as long as, all Korean names from Wikipedia, media, television, etc., are transliterated with "-". Even those old Korean names from Jeong Mong-ju's time use "-". It's enough that in the past I spent time, bringing some informations to "Jeong Mong-ju" article, without to delete anything.
So, if you want to correct again and again "Jeong Mong-ju", then why don't you start to correct the entire Korean names on Wikipedia (in every language, not just in English), on internet or from the entire real world. Why not? Look, here you have a list about "Korea Power Celebrity". Start with them all, and cut/ delete every single "-" you see in their names. Why not??? Lol - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes_Korea_Power_Celebrity .
Maybe tomorrow you'll say it's not "Jeong" but "Jeung"...! and maybe, you "are not currently busy with work and other real-life matters" as you say, as long as, you have time to correct a small and insignificant "-" from a Korean name, which, in fact, will not change anything. And... don't forget: I'm sure you are not a Korean, to know the whole linguistic rules of Korean language, philology and history (historical names). So, you have no kind of authority or academic authority to delete even a single "-" in any Korean name! Ok? Like me, you are just an user from internet - nothing more, (even though, you are authentified and I'm not). But, if you are an authority (a Korean scholar in Korean literature and/ or history), then use your real name and not "KylieTastic". Hope you are not ashamed with your own/ real name!
So, please let the article about Jeong Mong-ju, with "-"! If you'll continue to correct it, I won't make any change again and again, but I won't use or respect your wrong transliteration as it is (without "-"), because... it's clear that you don't speak or understand Korean language.
Regards! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.77.154.17 (talk) 00:44, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 95.77.154.17, thanks for the message. You may be correct but note that Wikipedia is an Encyclopaedia built from reliable sources not assertions. We get a lot of people changing names back and forth between variants often breaking things (such as you did with the image and commons category link). As you noted people often interchange o and u such as "Jeong" but "Jeung". As for Forbes Korea Power Celebrity this shows a context misunderstanding - modern current use is not always the same as historic use in many languages, but as you could guess no I'm not a Korean scholar. As you point out you and I have the same rights here, the fact that you do not have an account does not matter. However your change that may well be correct looks no different than the many other wrong assertions we get each day, so what is generally needed for such key changes is a reason/explanation usually on the article talk page and in the Edit summary. Please note that Jeong Mong-ju redirects to Jeong Mongju with the explanation in the history here the article was moved due to Revised Romanization of Korean, which looking at it does not appear to say that common usage of the hyphen in name should not be used. Looking at the sources you post next and other info I concur you are correct and have posted a move request at Talk:Jeong Mongju. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:51, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Jeong Mong-ju (with "-") and not Jeong Mongju. (no. 2)
So, you need reliable sources!?! Ok! Then, see all these very reliable sources about Jeong Mong-ju (and not Jeong Mongju):
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzWcpmqaX2E (00:39, 01:45, 02:15, 02:45, etc.) Arirang is a Korean television and knows how to transliterate Korean names. - so, it’s an authority! Jeong Mong-ju’s is with “-”.
2. Two sites - a Korean book of history, written by a Korean author: Kang Jae-eun. Even his name is with “-”: See pages 257, 258, etc. - where Jeong Mong-ju’s name has “-”. Also, you’ll see that all Korean names have “-”! See also the book cover with author’s name: Kang Jae-eun. https://books.google.ro/books?id=XB4UYXNQK1wC&pg=PA257&lpg=PA257&dq=Jeong+Mong-ju+in+korean+sites&source=bl&ots=8Ze1Rjcm68&sig=a4T54qXOQ_XEbBkVAtmBcr_mSNw&hl=ro&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjJponbme7TAhUEG5oKHeozCQUQ6AEIZjAJ#v=onepage&q=Jeong%20Mong-ju%20in%20korean%20sites&f=false and http://www.homabooks.com/general/books/east_asia/korea/1045.php
3. The site of the National Museum of Korea - a very reliable source about Jeong Mong-ju. Here: https://www.museum.go.kr/site/eng/relic/represent/view?relicId=493 , here https://www.museum.go.kr/site/eng/relic/represent/view?relicId=2938 , here https://www.museum.go.kr/site/eng/relic/represent/view?relicId=2707 ,
4. For Korean names, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Korean_given_names . Almost all Korean names have “-”.
5. For other Korean names, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-PdWDpqQNTg 00:44 and 01:10 for Moon Jae-in, 01:36 for Yim Dong-wook, 01:48 for Kim Ji-yeon. So, all Korean names have “-”.
6. On Jeong Mong-ju (with “-”) - see the site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Korea: http://overseas.mofa.go.kr/webmodule/htsboard/template/read/legengreadboard.jsp?typeID=16&boardid=9625&seqno=708199&c=&t=&pagenum=1&tableName=TYPE_ENGLEGATIO&pc=&dc=&wc=&lu=&vu=&iu=&du=
7. On Jeong Mong-ju (with “-“), see the book: https://www.morebooks.de/gb/search?page=2&q=Goryeo&search_term=Goryeo&via_keyword=1
8. Harvard University: see pages 38 and 39 on Jeong Mong-ju (written “Chong Mong-ju”), with “-”: http://isites.harvard.edu/fs/docs/icb.topic787489.files/Early%20Korean%20Lit%203%20-%20Choson.pdf
Now, I hope you have here enough reliable sources, to correct your “Jong Mongju” article on Wikipedia.org - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeong_Mongju ; also change the article name again in Jeong Mong-ju (with "-") (as it was once) and not Jeong Mongju (as it’s now). And next time, when you want to correct someone (whom you don’t know as academic background and high-level of knowledge and understanding), first of all, go and instruct yourself before to correct others! Ok? I DON’T accept (your) superficiality!!! If you are a "recent changes patroller" as you say ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:KylieTastic ), then, I start to have doubts about Wikipedia's accuracy, in every matter.
I talked thus with you - I mean, not very polite or pleasant - (this is not my style), because you corrected me twice WRONGLY/ UNJUSTLY, without any right and without to be a connoisseur/ expert of the Korean language! Moreover, Wikipedia.org is not your site (your property), but a public site/ domain (which should provide accurate informations), and before to make corrections, even you (the authentified user) go and inform yourself, even about a "." or a ",".
Regards!
PS: You can delete my two posts/ commentaries from here, whether you'll change "Jeong Mongju" with "Jeong Mong-ju" or not. I really don't care anymore! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.77.154.17 (talk) 03:01, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 95.77.154.17, I don't need reliable sources, Wikipedia does. Wikipedia works by relying on reliable sources and Consensus. I know it can be frustrating when you really believe your correct but without it articles just get changed back and forth with different people assertions, this way with a formal proposal at Talk:Jeong Mongju and discussion the article with hopefully be moved back and stay. So although the Wikipedia way of working can be very frustrating at times it does appear to work in the end.
- Regarding your comment on me being a "recent changes patroller" giving you doubts "about Wikipedia's accuracy" - I hope you will see by this process that in the end although it may temporarily lead to the reversal of a correct edit the same checking also protects from many incorrect assertions. In future adding an Edit summary explaining why will mean the edit is less likely to be reverted.
- "I talked thus with you" - and I am thankful that you did, "I mean, not very polite or pleasant" - actually not that rude I just see your frustration and you came with evidence and reasoning so I understand and overlook the snipes. " Wikipedia.org is not your site" no its not nor is it yours, thus we work together using the policies, procedures, and consensus to end up with the best we can collectively.
- Hopefully the consensus will go your way as I think the evidence shows and you can be please you've added to the improvement and accuracy of Wikipedia which is what we are all just trying to do. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 11:10, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Amity, Queensland
Hi just wondering why you reverted my corrections to the page for Amity Point, Queensland? The Queensland government clearly recognises "Amity" as the correct name for the town, whereas "Amity Point" is only ever used to refer to the headland itself (i.e. a geographical feature, not a township).
References:
Amity - Queensland place names search
Amity Point - Queensland place names search
This is also backed up by the Australian government's official administrative boundaries database: PSMA Administrative Boundaries (See the most recent "Suburbs - Localities" dataset)
- Hi REA Cameron, I noticed the edit at first because you broke an image. As you had not included an edit summary to let other editors know why the change was made it was not distinguishable from the random vandalism or opinion edits not backed by sources than unfortunately we get a lot of. I checked the existing sources such as the 2006 census that labelled it as Amity Point. I then also checked google and bing maps that both had it as Amity Point. Also I checked a local resource The Amity Point Community Club that listed there address as "Claytons Rd Amity Point". So as per my edit summary I reverted as unsourced name change and back to as per the current sources. I can't open the boundary datasets as I don't have a shapefile viewer but if your sure this is the official name then please feel free to amend. However, please use edit summaries for non trivial/obvious edits and add sources (see Help:Referencing for beginners). Lastly please make sure to only change where the context is appropriate so not image files names, etc. that will cause errors. Hope that explains things. New Page Review - Newsletter No.4
Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 818 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!
But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

A clever vandal gotcha (as they say in London), and I think it worth sharing the sequence of events with you because I certainly learnt something worthwhile from the analysis, on how I can avoid being caught by the same trick.
From the history of the file:
- 21:02, 3 February 2016 81.157.86.43 (talk | block) . . (5,836 bytes) (+1) . . (undo) (Tags: Mobile edit, Mobile web edit)
- 07:16, 12 February 2016 Anas1712 (talk | contribs | block) m . . (5,836 bytes) (0) . . (undo | thank)
- 19:57, 12 February 2016 KylieTastic (talk | contribs | block) . . (5,682 bytes) (-154) . . (Removed missing (red-linked) image - not a recognised image file - Note images must be uploaded WP:UPIMAGE (copyright allowing)) (undo | thank)
- The first edit changed the image location by adding a new line but also changing one of the words from "Funicular" to "Inclinator" (diff)
- Then user:Anas1712 removed the added space not noticing the change in name (diff)
- Then you remove the image. (diff)
Included in the article was a link to Media related to London Millennium Funicular at Wikimedia Commons in that was the image, so even if you did not recognise it (because of the change of name) you could have replaced the red link with that file, and as the history of that file shows "User [PBS] created page with UploadWizard".
-- PBS (talk) 19:30, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Actually it may not have been vandalism as the article includes the name inclinator so it may actually have been an inexperienced editor rather than a vandal. -- PBS (talk) 19:33, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi PBS, that's too long ago for me to have any recollection of it, but I should have caught that one. However if I had of noticed I probably would have not put the original one back as it's sop bad it took a while once enlarged to even spot the subject (no idea why they didn't crop so it was centralised). At least someone found a better image to add. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:42, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi everybody,
- What I've done is that I find a nowiki-like introduction so I deleted the space. The fault is that i've not seen that a vandal has been here before me. So, I've just made my modification whithout noticing the problem. After that, KylieTastic (talk · contribs) deleted the picture because it was a non-existant image. Finally Verne Equinox (talk · contribs) added another picture and I restored the original one.
- That's how I see what in French, we say it's a Quiproquo. --Anas1712 (talk) 09:48, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi everybody,
Antara Biswas
why you deleted ? Is my content were wrong ?
- Hi SunnyLeone01012013 is you look at the 'History' tab you'll see the reason in the edit summary. You broke the image, the information added was not from a reliable sources and your formatting of the infobox was badly wrong see Template:Infobox person for the list of parameters you can use - not just a list of copied stuff from another website. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:25, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
AGF
Can you take a look at this edit? Thank you. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Psychoville&type=revision&diff=773395759&oldid=764945115
Hei Liebrecht 17:15, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Darkmorpher I assume your asking me because I've edited that article since, however that was only to revert vandalism and I know nothing on the subject. However I would generally not use the 'something-cum-somthingelse' phrasing due to some people not understanding the meaning (I've come across editors before removing such stating - 'removing rude word' or 'fixing vandalism'). Also the BBC site calls it a "comedy serial" and the comedy.co.uk source states "Psychoville is a dark character comedy mystery" Genre "Sitcom", so the first description would look more in-line with those. Also looking at other sources British dark comedy appears to be a better description that psychological horror - descriptions do vary but it definitely appears to be dark comedy rather than actual horror. Hope that helps? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:13, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Toufik BOUSHAKI
Dear Kylie, I want to cancel my wikipedia profil Toufik BOUSHAKI, because it is not I who made this page, and it contains many errors. Please remove this page for all languages.
Dr. Toufik BOUSHAKI — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.162.250.170 (talk) 23:03, 9 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, Wikipedia is not social media - Toufik Boushaki is not a profile made by the subject but an Encyclopedic article about the subject. It is governed by the Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons standard, so if there are actual errors they can be removed. Note an error is NOT something you just don't like, but something that is not backed by a source/reference. If this is Dr. Toufik Boushaki then I would suggest posting a requests for any changes/removals to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard to avoid any conflict of interest. Also you could post any concerns to Zouaoui16 as they created the article. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:06, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

The picture I put is sucess but why you want to itchy and delete the image. Chairman Loh Shi San (talk) 01:47, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Chairman Loh Shi San, I assume your talking about Lim Kok Thay and the image File:Lim Kok Thay 2986 3.jpg that you can see is red - i.e. it had been deleted. I did not delete the image, I just removed the dead link. The reason had been posted on your own talk page here then here. The reason given was suspected copyright problems. 10:07:19, 19 June 2017 review of submission by TravisLourensz
Hello, Can you please further explain what more I need to do for approval of this page. This is my first time using Wikipedia.
- Hi TravisLourensz your 'article' has no actual content it is just a title and a link to a blog post, where the title "LONDON TOWER INFERNO" does not appear to be related to the linked post. Also a blog post is not generally considered a reliable source. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia of reliably sourced articles, this looks more like a social media post trying to draw traffic to the blog post? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 10:41, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Ibram X. Kendi
I'd like to move Draft:Ibram X. Kendi to the mainspace. The refs I added seems to push it into GNG territory and there are more refs out there. Is this okay with you? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 17:25, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
I've written to him for a photo, by the way. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:17, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hey Anna Frodesiak, not sure why your asking little old me - you've been at the game longer than I have, and probably know more policies/guidelines :) ... but yes I've had a quick look (and tweak) and I concur that they should meet the notability standards now. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:20, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- I'm asking because you are my peer, colleague, equal, and of course, the draft decliner. :) It's now at Ibram X. Kendi. It needs work, but I doubt it would die at AfD and I wouldn't expect anyone to nominate it for deletion. Best wishes and many thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:28, 28 June 2017 (UTC)

- Nice one Anna, but couldn't they be challenged as the portrait is marked as Copyright "University of Florida- Hannah Pietrick" - I thought they insisted on the permission being from the Copyright holder not the subject over on commons? Minor Template issue I'd like some help with for Aurelia aurita
Hi! I've encountered a minor issue with the template on Aurelia aurita, the genus redirects to the definition of Aurelia (name) and not the actual genus Aurelia (genus), as I have no experience at all with templates, I was wondering if you could be so kind to take a look and see if you are able to fix it without breaking something. :)
If not, perhaps you could redirect me to someone with experience editing with taxobox? Either way, thanks! FlyingVolvo (talk) 02:36, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi FlyingVolvo, it was an easy fix as not an actual template code issue just with the parameter on the page. Just changed Aurelia to Aurelia (the part before the pipe | is the actual link the bit after what is displayed). Happy to help, all the best KylieTastic (talk) 08:51, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
Help to add picture back to wiki site please
Dear Kylie,
I noticed you just removed the picture from Jason Kouchak's wiki site. Can you please advice why the picture is constantly removed? The picture's details have been updated and hence it now should be in full complience with the rules and regulations of having photos in wikimedia commons and wikipedia. Can you please help me to add the photo "JasonKouchak.jpg" back to Jason's site?
Thank you in advance, Helena — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helenakatriina (talk • contribs) 19:15, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Helenakatriina, I just removed the link because it was not a valid image File:JasonKouchak.jpg does not exist, as it was deleted 27 May 2017 by Explicit for the reason "Lack of licensing information", and File:Jason Kouchak.jpg that was on commons was deleted three times the last being 24 May 2017 per c:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Jason Kouchak.jpg. I'm not an administrator so can not see the details of the files to comment further. Note that File:Musician Jason Kouchak.jpg and File:Ջեյսոն Կուչակ.jpg exits if this is the same person, although they both have dubious source copyright/licence claims. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:30, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
Dear Kylie, Thanks for your swift response. Would you please be able to help me to add any required information on the two photos you mention? I do not understand what is missing from them as they are Jason's own photos and he has the full copy right to them. Many other pictures in wiki commons have similar details and they seem to be fine. I would be very grateful if you could help me with these plese. Kind regards, Helena — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helenakatriina (talk • contribs) 21:41, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Helena, copyright is a difficult and complex subject and causes frustration for many editors. The main problem is that subjects often believe they own the copyright to images of themselves they asked to be taken, but copyright belongs with the photographer in most cases unless legally transferred (or that's my understanding). I suggest you ask over at commons where the admins can see the deleted images and page info and be in a better place to comment - c:Commons:Village pump/Copyright. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:23, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
Dear Kylie, Thank you, you are a star! I really appreciate your help and advices. Have a great week to come! Best, Helena — Preceding unsigned comment added by Helenakatriina (talk • contribs) 15:13, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Yorgos Lanthimos birthday
Hi Kylie Tastic from Greece!
I see you reverted my changes on lanthimos birthday. I would be most obliged to you if you cound give any source that can verify this date as his birth date. English wikipedia is the only site in the entire net that gives that date, and I can assure you it is wrong!! My regards.78.87.197.61 (talk) 18:38, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 78.87.197.61, I did not revert your change, you are still the last editor (see this). I reverted the previous editor for an unsourced name change. As the DOB is unsourced your edit is perfectly fine, although it would be better if you had put an edit summary to show is was a challenge to the factual nature rather than just vandalism (I know it's odd but we do have people that will do such things, just randomly go around removing things). All the best, KylieTastic (talk) 18:43, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
Technology update:
- Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
- The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:
- User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js adds a link to the new pages feed and page curation toolbar to your top toolbar on Wikipedia
- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through
General project update:
- Following discussion at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers, Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Noticeboard has been marked as historical. Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers is currently the most active central discussion forum for the New Page Patrol project. To keep up to date on the most recent discussions you can add it to your watchlist or visit it periodically.

Hi, im contacting you about this page, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svet_Tambure the picture was removed, and i hold the copyright, so how do i get it back on? Thanks in advance Robert
- Hi User:Robertmilinski you have an answer to that question already on your talk page User talk:Robertmilinski that pointed out you can possibly upload as Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria or if you can show you have the copyright you can see the advise on your talk page over on commons c:User_talk:Robertmilinski that points you to c:Commons:OTRS. As I'm not an admin I can not see the deleted image to say any more in direct relation to the image. You could ask the admin on commons who actually deleted the image for more advise here: c:User talk:Yann. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:19, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
The article The Truth, Pt. 3 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
no tertiary references nor indication of notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jax 0677 (talk) 15:20, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Please clear the cache of your browser, or check why you are not able to view the picture. Do not delete edits before you are aware of these tests results.

Clarification
Hi Kylie, New references have been added to Shankar Srinivasan from NDTV English channel. But 1 problem is that his interview has been taken in malayalam language. I hope you check the information and validate it. Please check the video from 10:59 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adhik Patel (talk • contribs) 19:45, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
- Adhik Patel, the link posted to NDTV [5] plays a video in English and I see no mention of Shankar Srinivasan. KylieTastic (talk) 20:02, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
Please check the video from 10:59, you can also see his face. Adhik Patel (talk) 20:36, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
And the malayalam interview is different , it is on a famous malayalam newspaper, https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Kalari_Championship.jpg I can give the subtitles for it — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adhik Patel (talk • contribs) 20:43, 30 July 2017 (UTC) He has mentioned about his background in the malayalam interview — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adhik Patel (talk • contribs) 20:46, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Adhik Patel ok I see the bit from 10:59, but being just one student interviewed for under a minute in a larger piece does not make a person notable. Wikipedia is not social media, every person does not get their own page. Just getting the odd mention does not make a person notable. Lots of people are interviewed on TV for just a minute every day - it may be a big thing for the subject but not for the world. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:54, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
Ok, Kylie
the malayalam headings has his name in the headlines because he won the championship among 279 contestants.
I think that can be taken into consideration.
A good translator might help or I can translate the information for you.
Kylie ,
the sport has received recent recognition, so no english paper has posted about it.
But I think that winning this championship is a bit of an achievement — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.59.40.140 (talk) 21:09, 30 July 2017 (UTC)
- Wikipedia has a level for notability that is quite high, as it is an Encyclopedia not social media or a news site. However note it is not me you have to convince, it has now been raised to a formal check at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shankar Srinivasan where everyone gets to put forward an opinion (based on polices and evidence) to reach a consensus. If as this says it was the "National Kalaripayattu Championship" I'm surprised they mentioned the team came second but did not mention someone won it overall from the team? Also they say its a student event, and on Wikipedia in most sports you need to be in a professional team, or win medals at a recognised high level competition. The best thing you can do if you thing they meet WP:BIO or WP:GNG is to add any other sources you can find (does not have to be in English). KylieTastic (talk) 21:21, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

That edit not only asserted Boudha was correct, but removed other things it is known as. It also broke wiki-links and images. If you believe the name is wrong then the correct action is to post on the artciles talk page Talk:Boudhanath suggesting it be changed and the page moved, but you will need to give some sources to show what you say is true. You could also seek help at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Buddhism. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:45, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

Request on 16:38:17, 5 August 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by TheRealList
- TheRealList (talk · contribs)
Hi. I'm trying to get more guidance about what needs to be done in order for the Jamie Pleasant submission to be accepted. I got the sense that you believe more attribution from outside sources are needed. If there are no additional weblinks about him to include, what options are available to get this submission published? Thanks for any insight/information you can provide.
TheRealList (talk) 16:38, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi TheRealList, note that AfC is rather backlogged (see Category:AfC pending submissions by age for our workload, and as such reviews are taking longer than would be liked. Note that the main guideline that you are trying to reach is Wikipedia:Notability (people) (and also WP:GNG) and yes this is done with adding reliable sources that are independent of the topic. Note that although on-line sources are preferred as they are easier to check, any sources are valid (so books and newspapers etc). Also I guess as they are a professor Wikipedia:Notability (academics) would also be appropriate. Basically add as much as you can find, and it will help when someone reviews. I've done a quick tidy to help out but I don't review on request, as it unfair on others waiting (plus I'm starving and need to go eat). Hope that helps, but if you need more input/advise I recommend the Wikipedia:Teahouse as you'll find lots of experienced editors rather than just asking individuals. Question about the Mohegan Lake, New York Article/Page
I'm Sarah and I have a question to ask you, (if you don't mind). I had made some Edits to the Mohegan Lake, New York Page recently today and I have noticed while viewing the "View History" Section that you had made some changes to how it looked originally. Would you mind to keep/leave it in the format from how I left it before, please? If you can I would happily appreciate it!
You can respond back to this message once you get the opportunity.
Thank you, Sarah.T.Vida
Sarah T. Life 18:00, 11 August 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarah.t.life (talk • contribs)
- Hi Sarah the reason I revert your edits was for two reasons, firstly you broke multiple wiki-links and the image - Filenames, wiki-links, categories, template names and sometimes urls etc are case-sensitive. Also we have a style guide (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style) which includes a part on when to use Capital letters (see MOS:CAPS) - for instance I can see no reason so justify households being capitalised. As for changes such as "Mohegan Lake" to "Lake Mohegan" these should be backed by a source... unfortunately most fo the articles source links are broken (dead) so it's difficult to tell but Google maps still uses Lake Mohegan. However without an official name source it could be either. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:40, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie
Here are my responses to both your questions.
1. Umm...okay then. Wait...I'm a little confused..so you would like for me to view Wikipedia's Manual of Style in order for me to make some edits and leave them that way?
2. Uh...I'm pretty sure in my City where I live Mohegan Lake, New York uses the Title ,Mohegan Lake and no longer "Lake Mohegan". As well as the same same should appear for Google Maps and/or, any other Mapping Service.
Moreover with me getting to the point; Would you mind if you can not make changes to it?I promise you, I am not one of the Users who would come on here to infringe/go against the Guidelines of any on Wikipedia.
However (if I may not understand) do you think you can explain to me on what it is that I should do specifically?
Hope to hear from you!

- Hi Sarah, I'll try to be clearer...
- I was just pointing out that Wikipedia does have a Wikipedia:Manual of Style guideline part of which included not using Unnecessary Capitalisation, and bold as several of your edits include.
- Secondly that many things are case-sensitive, for instance User:Sarah.t.life is not the same as User:Sarah.T.Life, and you broke many things with your edits. Such as completely breaking the Template:Westchester County, New York with this edit.
- So no, neither myself or other editors will leave your edits breaking templates, wiki-links, images or ignoring the communities guidelines.
- Thirdly, Wikipedia is based on reliable sources so saying it's your city counts as nothing - the article is describing an official Census-designated place and the article notes that it is known locally as "Mohegan Lake". However note just because it is the official name does not mean it has to be that on Wikipedia, as we have a policy WP:COMMONNAME that states "Wikipedia generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources)". So the fact that moheganlake.com exists and not the other is in your favour. If you can find enough sources to inculcate that "Mohegan Lake" is the WP:COMMONNAME you can ask at Wikipedia:Requested moves to have it moved.
- Lastly you say "Would you mind if you can not make changes to it" - er no! Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia built with reliable sources and Wikipedia:Consensus you do not own the article (see WP:OWN), never ask other editors not to edit articles. If however, as you say, you do not "infringe/go against the Guidelines" then I would not revert your changes as I would have no reason to do so.
- I know all the polices and guidelines can be confusing at first but they are their to help build a reliable readable Encyclopedia, so if you need/want any help/advise from other experienced editors and admins I would recommend asking at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:32, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi and Good Morning Kylie.
- Alright then, I deeply understand what you mean from the information you had given me. What I am trying to do (since I don't agree with how the layout of the article looks/some of the information I feel is not accurate, and you won't have to worry, for I have the citations/links to prove that the name of my City is Mohegan Lake and not "Lake Mohegan"); However, my main concern about all this is that; How would I be able to (and I will number these so you wouldn't be confused):
- 1. Change the Heading of the article from Lake Mohegan, New York to Mohegan Lake, New York?
- 2. Change the Title of the Inbox Settlement from Lake Mohegan, New York to Mohegan Lake, New York (but won't change anything else within the Settlement)?
- 3. Change where it says, "Location of Lake Mohegan, New York" to "Location of Mohegan Lake, New York"?
- and lastly.
- 4. Change where it says, "Municipalities and Communities of Westchester County, New York United States" but under, "CDPs" to change from Lake Mohegan to Mohegan Lake?
- If you think you will definitely be willing to assist me with this, I would happily appreciate it and I would thank you so much a million!
- However, if you think you won't be willing to assist me with this, I would deeply understand; however, I would still thank you a ton for the assistance you had offered me.
- However wait; There is an option where you can merge or, move an article if they appear to be a duplicate? Do you think you can explain to me on how to do that in the simplest way?
- Hope to hear from you soon, Darling!
Sarah.t.life 14:11, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Sarah, quick answer as I'm just going out...
- To change the Heading the page needs to be moved but as the page Mohegan Lake, New York already exist as a redirect only an admin can move - so you have to make a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves.
- The title of the infobox depends on the infobox, some take direct from the page title - for this one see Template:Infobox settlement - it can name a 'name' and 'official_name' if different. I don't use the visual editor but it appears that if a parameter does not exist then scroll down to the "Add more information"
- parameter map_caption
- Template:Westchester County, New York - That would be Lake Mohegan to Mohegan Lake - only if page is moved. Note as I see you broke the wiki-links, so see Help:Cheatsheet for a simple set of examples or Help:Wiki markup for the full info. Basically its exact page name or link text. So the current Lake Mohegan says its a link to the page "Lake Mohegan, New York" but show "Lake Mohegan" on the link i.e. Lake Mohegan

Why is that ok for you to put a scammer into the Wiki and call him a 'businessman?"
If you dare to describe Jeffry Tisley, a scammer and abuser, a businessman? What is so good he had done to deserve to be called 'businessman' instead if Internet Scammer and Extortionist? Is he paying you CONSTRUCTIVELY?
He posts false info, or private info, or totally irrelevant information, then extorts money for removal. This is business? It's ok to spread lies then come for payment to remove it? Is that the value system you live by?
Then protect the abusers and racketeers? Aren't you constructive? My remarks about that person - are constructive. There are people in the U.S. who live and breath lies and scam to make money from it. And you condone it by calling it 'business'. Say things about this person that are true and deserve merit.
So far he had done nothing but damage to many people.

- If you want to add valid sourced info then you can and we encourage it but changing his name to "Jeffrey Tinsley a con artist and scammer to tap into your pocket" is just vandalism. If there is documented reliable sourced info that he has scammed people the yes it can be added. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:42, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
Martin Page Wiki Page
Hi there,
I've attempted to update Martin Page's Wikipedia page several times now, specifically the external links, and the edits keep getting rolled back. I'm the assistant to him and his manager and can obtain written proof if necessary. I am just trying to link to his social media accounts, as well as his official blog. I see now that Wikipedia discourages linking to social media accounts, however, how come a page that links directly from his site is considered a copyright violation? http://martinpage.com/songfacts.html Same question for his official blog? https://officialmartinpage.wordpress.com/
I have also attempted to update the 'music career' section citing many sources, including his official website, and those changes were rolled back as well.
Certainly, I want to follow protocol, but I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding why my changes keep getting rolled back.
Thanks in advance, -Vanessa Leavitt — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vrleavitt (talk • contribs) 15:42, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Vanessa, firstly as you've self identified as his assistant I must point you to our guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest which you should read before making any more edits, also you should note Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia not just another website, blog, or social media site for promotion (see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not especially WP:NOTPROMOTION). As for the external links the reason they are being removed is because as per previous they are promotional, and specifically mentioned in our guideline Wikipedia:External links is the sections WP:ELMINOFFICIAL "Normally, only one official link is included" and WP:LINKSTOAVOID. Any readers interested in the subject can find his official website linked in the infobox and external links section, and that gives his social media and blog links if they desire. If you wish to make it easier for people to find the links you should get them also linked from the top of the page on his site as well as the bottom.
- I don't know why the material from http://www.martinpage.com/songfacts.html was removed as a copyright violation as the page does not appear to contain any copyright notice, nor does the main page. So for that I'm afraid you'll have to ask Wiae who removed that content, alternatively you can make it clear on the source website by adding a creative commons licence either CC-BY or CC-BY-SA to the page see https://creativecommons.org to indicate it is free to use, although some could still consider it biased as it is a primary source WP:PRIMARY.
- As for your general question on why edits get rolled back it would mostly be covered by the guidelines already quoted but mainly consider this is an Encyclopedia and not for use as promotion (also see Wikipedia:Five pillars). I hope that helps explain things. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 16:40, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Vrleavitt and KylieTastic: Hello to you both, and thanks for the ping KylieTastic. WP:COMPLIC says that
The absence of a copyright notice does not mean that a work may be freely used
, and in general copyright subsists from the time the work is created, even if there isn't a copyright notice or symbol attached. That's why I've removed the content. Licensing the content for use on Wikipedia is one solution to this, although as KylieTastic has noted, the page would still be a primary source, and as such would have only limited use as a reference on Wikipedia. When writing an encyclopedia article, it is most important to summarize what sources that are independent of a subject have said about that subject. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 17:00, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 16,991 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
Technology update:
- Rentier has created a NPP browser in WMF Labs that allows you to search new unreviewed pages using keywords and categories.
General project update:
- The Wikimedia Foundation Community Tech team is working with the community to implement the autoconfirmed article creation trial. The trial is currently set to start on 7 September 2017, pending final approval of the technical features.
- Please remember to focus on the quality of review: correct tagging of articles and not tagbombing are important. Searching for potential copyright violations is also important, and it can be aided by Earwig's Copyvio Detector, which can be added to your toolbar for ease of use with this user script.

Hello, it's nice to speak to a human being
Thank you for leaving the message in my box however I was looking at the Kenny G G-Force photo and that's kind of a rerelease and the original cover should have been displayed instead of the rerelease because it's inaccurate. Can you find some way to put the original album cover of Kenny G's G-Force onto the page? Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaxTraxx 82 (talk • contribs) 12:23, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi MaxTraxx 82, you have to use the exact name of the file as uploaded here (case sensitive), the easiest way to find out if your not sure it to go to your contributions and the 'uploads' link at the top. However when uploading files you should use the Wizard and select the correct license options as Wikipedia is very hot on copyright. As you're upload was not marked correctly it is flagged for deletion see File:G Force Kenny G.jpg for the info that was added via the wizard, also the image is too large for Wikipedia:Non-free content conditions. I've updated for you this time, but please use the wizard for any other non free content. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 13:24, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Michael Morell
Please do NOT change my edits. I am an Veteran of Military Intelligence and KNOW that Michael Morell is not the ACTIVE director of the cia. Are you AN American citizen and why are you editing American Citizen profiles. Thanks Sterlingmichaels (talk) 04:29, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Sterlingmichaels and welcome to Wikipedia. First a few basics you may not be aware of: on Wikipedia we get a lot of people claiming to be certain people or having knowledge or authority and although many are truthful, as I'm sure you are, we also get vast amount of people who are not and vandalise, push a POV etc. So Wikipedia run only on the basis of guidelines such as Reliable Sources, Verifiability and No original research, and claims of who any editor is 'in real life' counts for nothing (apart from excluding from editing if claim shows a Conflict of interest). As a Veteran of Military Intelligence I'm sure you appreciate the point of rules and order. Also the fact that I am not a US citizen also counts for nothing here as this is the English language Wikipedia with no boundaries or borders and a key principle is here Wikipedia:Anyone can edit. Finally as on most of the internet using CAPS as emphasis does the opposite of the intended and usually will make people take what you say less seriously due to it being overly used by angry kids. Anyway onto your edits to Michael Morell (these) I reverted not because of your addition that he was the former acting director but the rest of the edit. As per my edit summary "Rvt breaking image, removal of dates, dumping link at top". I noticed the edit as you broke the image (by just adding FORMER to the file name), but it was the unexplained removal of the dates that was more of a problem and note that the dates you removed for his term in fact because it had an end date indicated already that yes he was former. Lastly his office was incorrectly changed to Consultant (which is not an office) and just dumping the ref at the start. I hope that explains things. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:01, 31 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks!

Scott Biao Correction (September 2017)
Hi, just saw my correction to Scott Biao's page was reverted by your userID and wanted to check why? Here's a link to his IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000281/) for clarification.
Should I revert it back to the corrected version, or did you want to? NorthernDragon (talk) 20:43, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi User:NorthernDragon, not that IMDB should ever be taken as a reliable source but maybe you should look at your own source again? IMDB agreegs with all the other sources including his official site http://www.scottbaio.com/ - Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:54, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Sry, are you saying you do not view IMDB as a reliable source? I just want to understand you correctly. NorthernDragon (talk) 21:30, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi User:NorthernDragon, Wikipedia guidelines do not consider IMDB a reliable source (see Wikipedia:Citing IMDb) as anyone can edit with no source or proof (note Wikipedia is also not considered a reliable source, without reliable sources that would be the real source). But in this case IMDB agrees Scott Baio is not Scott Biao as you changed it too. KylieTastic (talk) 21:38, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi User:KylieTastic, thank you for the information ( Wikipedia:Citing IMDb ), I had been unaware of this and will adjust all future citations accordingly. Many thanks for your ongoing diligence. NorthernDragon (talk) 04:46, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
Rohan Gunaratna
Do not attempt to touch Dr Rohan Gunaratna's Page. You are supporting the LTTE claims and giving credibility to Tamil extremists when you leave the false criticism on his page. I will remove it now. CALL HIS CENTRE if you want to touch it again. (The criticism against him is false and Tamil propaganda. Please Check with his centre. The CTC is now banned by the UN. All claims against him have been resolved and proven untrue. You may call his centre to back my statement.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by GT6721 (talk • contribs) 14:10, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi GT6721 Wikipedia has guidelines - your opinion does not matter and is clearly in breach of Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. All content on Wikipedia but especially for living persons must be reliably sourced, so "You may call his centre to back my claim" is worthless... who would say criticism against themselves were valid? Your claims are completely unsourced opinion so are not valid. KylieTastic (talk) 14:35, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
Caltech
It seems that you reverted my spelling correction on the Pasadena page. It is pretty bad if even the page for Pasadena can't spell Caltech right. Is it possible to fix it without breaking the picture? Gah4 (talk) 21:45, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Gah4, well it was just a file-name so has no affect on the general reader, its just the sort of thing people pick up when looking at the source. To answer your question, yes files can be renamed but they have to meet the requirements set out in Wikipedia:File mover. Such a change is in a grey area between being an 'obvious error' WP:FNC#5 and being just a slight improvement (and thus not valid) WP:FMNN. If you see files with incorrect names you can request a rename using the template Template:Rename media such as target name.extension. Hope that helps explain things, Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 22:47, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, I got it now. I now changed the heading, instead of the file name. I didn't figure that out the first time. It would be nice to also change the file name, but for now, this should help. Gah4 (talk) 04:01, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- OK, it is Commons, and I put in the rename request. It seems that automatically includes a redirect, so as not to break external links. Thanks! Gah4 (talk) 05:01, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- It worked! My first try at file renaming. Thanks again! Gah4 (talk) 06:18, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Gah4, so nice to wake up and find things have sorted themselves out. I should have noticed it was a commons file, but my mind was stuck on local files as I had been renaming them most of the day. And yes, the file mover will usually leave a redirect at least until all the links have been updated. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 10:11, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
- It worked! My first try at file renaming. Thanks again! Gah4 (talk) 06:18, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
Concerning Shadows Commons backlog
I'd been using a query on labs to generate the list of potentially shadowed files:-
https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/18894
It may be of use. As there's an updateable query, perhaps this is something that could be automated with a bot? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 07:18, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi ShakespeareFan00 thanks for the info, and yes I agree it would be good to have a bot mark shadowed files. Bots are an area I thought about looking into but never found the time, maybe there is an existing bot that tags files that the owner could be asked to look at adding this. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 08:33, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi ShakespeareFan00, can you add the template "Do not move to commons" to your exclusion list please - see page histories on File:SMS Nassau NH 46827.jpg and File:SMS Nassau NH 46828.jpg. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:17, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Actually I guess that is not a good idea as it may not be the same, so Keep local should do, I'll add. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:21, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Done ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 21:22, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Also https://quarry.wmflabs.org/query/19295 lists all the file redirects shadowing Commons. (about 411 at present.) ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 09:33, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Michael Gorbachev
Hello, My name is Michael Gorbachev, I am a creative designer, my father is the world famous Russian artist Yuri Gorbachev, my My distant uncle is Mikhail Gorbachev. I want to create a page with a short description and UN-link the redirect. How would I go about doing that?
Thank you kindly, Michael Gorbachev
- Hi Michael Gorbachev, to have an article on Wikipedia subjects need to meet the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines (for people see WP:BIO). Also Wikipedia strongly discourages writing about you self or an conflict of interest (see WP:COI). Wikipedia is not social media for people to promote themselves, and notability is not inherited so your father being Yuri Gorbachev does not count to your own notability. If you wanted to proceed with creating an article, then to avoid a speedy deletion it would be best to create it in draft first via Wikipedia:Articles for creation. If it passes the guidlines it would then be published. Hope that helps explain things. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:21, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

I've dived headlong into Wikipedia, looking primarily at the focus of my current interests in Portuguese nobiliary history, by expanding significantly an article on a particular noble house. It was great to see another name apart from my own on the history list that, as well as underlining the communal and objective nature of Wikipedia, made me feel welcome! Many thanks. Ferpimag1972 (talk) 11:24, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Ferpimag1972, yes sometimes it feel like no one else is about, and other times you make a few edits and suddenly several other join in. I guess it is rather a niche topic, but you normally get more editors just doing general fixes, formatting etc. You may be able to find editors interested in the same subjects in a WikiProject suck as Wikipedia:WikiProject Portugal or Wikipedia:WikiProject History. I think its just luck if two people get shown the same edit about the same time and both try to revert. Sometimes I find the same thing, others always getting in before me. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 18:51, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- I have approached different tactics in rollback but it is still not work. It is still the case that Huggle is making reverts faster than Twinkle. The big problem I have at the moment is that Real Time Recent Changes (RTRC) is not showing up Twinkle Rollback links. Because of this, it is slowing down my rollback process as I have to open the edit and revert it. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:14, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Not again - another edit conflict between us at San Francisco plague of 1900–1904 when trying to revert an edit. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:18, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Pkbwcgs I don't think Twinkle is necessarily slower than Huggle, but before you use Twinkle your finding pages via the web interface. My understanding is that the pages you view on the web are slightly delayed as the view/read interface is pushed out to many web-servers to handle all the viewers. However tools like Huggle can view the edit stream slightly more live. I had the same issue when I started, sometime using the recent changes feed I was reverting happily but if some people were on Huggle I gave up (I became very familiar with one of the most prolific anti-vandals Materialscientist). I'ce stopped now, so I want clash again tonight :) and why not apply for rollback perm and use Huggle? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 20:26, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I haven't been assigned rollback permission and I don't think I will get this permission at all due to my previous disruptive editing even though I am a bit better at editing Wikipedia now. Therefore, I can't use Huggle at the moment. I have applied for this same permission on Wikimedia Commons and it has been declined and I have made over 6,000 edit on that Wiki and I haven't had much trouble editing over there. Pkbwcgs (talk) 16:19, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- It is happening again! You are very fast and as soon as I try to revert, it say that you have already reverted it. I have a massive disadvantage by not having rollback permissions. Pkbwcgs (talk) 18:12, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Pkbwcgs it does not just happen to you, I've just missed 3 reverts in the last few minutes :/ KylieTastic (talk) 18:13, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- I would associate you with being faster that ClueBot. Pkbwcgs (talk) 18:20, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
- :) yup Pkbwcgs being faster than ClueBot makes you smile, but it beats me more often I think :/. I just realised I did not respond before, yes having a history of "disruptive editing" will work against you, however we accept people change. So it may take you a bit longer to show positive editing, but if you continue as you are I see no reason you would not be granted rollback. You can wait as I did for an admin to just notice the anti vandal work you do and grant, or after you have a decent number of anti-vandal edits and good AIV reports I really would apply for it, and just be upfront and honest about your history and what you have done since. Honesty and humility go a long way. If I was an admin I would grant you the perm now and just monitor on and off for a while, but I think you'd be a net positive and that is what counts. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:32, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

Philip Zepter Net Worth
Dear Kylie
My latest change realted to [Zepter] net worth was reverted to a change done by user who is adding misleading changes on Wikipedia and already got notice from higher ranked Wikipedia contributors.
I think that the net worth of [Zepter] should be as per [Magazine] and their credible wealth list .
If you look at the list, you would see that [Zepter] net worth is estimated around $300 million or less.
Thank you Vlad — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.2.5.191 (talk) 16:51, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 188.2.5.191 sorry I get that your intent was correct, it just looked bad and got reverted when dealing with a storm of vandalism. However, I can not find either name on the Forbes list (not a surprise as its "he World's Billionaires" and so 30 or 300 million is short), so you'll need to find a reliable source for that. Thanks for catching, and sorry about that :/ Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:17, 4 October 2017 (UTC)

Pin Mill
Hi I note you are not resident in Uk so maybe you have no knowledge of Pin Mill. You will be aware that my attempts to point out the truth to the readers is not successful as I have little understanding of computer technology and even less of Wikipedia. If I could send you an email of the facts with all references to law maybe you could put these facts into a form of words to warn the general public that the waters of Pin mill and the foreshore are a danger to public health and that all houseboats at Pin Mill are in breach of the law Regards David F≠×←° — Preceding unsigned comment added by BINMAN (talk • contribs) 08:28, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi BINMAN I was working with Huggle that presents probably problematic edits - your edit this looked like it was removing references and adding a statement that was promotional not encyclopaedic... "real ale is served and food is always available" is an advert not encyclopaedic content. I see I missed that it was part of other edits that I had missed as an anon editor had tried to fix things up just before. Looking at your total changes here this is written as opinion (see Wikipedia:No original research) with no references and non encyclopedic. If there are actual references for the issues with the houseboats "dumping raw sewage ... on a daily basis" then yes it can be added if this is a long term issue (Wikipedia is not a news site) - just add after the addition. If you wish help doing this then I would suggest asking at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, or on the article talk page, I'll also leave a selection of links to help on your talk page. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:41, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- Note that I also redacted your email address above as it's not wise to put on a very public site like this and is likely to attract spam, abuse etc. and I don't know why you say I'm "not resident in Uk" because my user page states that I am.
Nahnatchka Khan
Why did you revert my edit on Nahnatchka Khan that she is openly gay? She talks about her sexuality constantly in interviews. Are you homophobic? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.171.199 (talk) 15:34, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- That is a shocking allegation to make. You failed to provide a source for your content. That is the issue. –Sb2001 talk page 15:39, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Try googling. She mentions she's gay in all her interviews! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.74.171.199 (talk) 15:56, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
- It's not up to others to go find the references, but for you to add them if you want to add such things. The reason such statements are removed if unsourced is because many are homophobic and use it as a slur/insult.... adding "they are gay" is a standard thing vandals do all over articles (unfortunately). If you can find a valid sources than you can add. See Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons and Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:01, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

Pin Mill
Kylie, thanks for your message sorry I assumed you not a resident of UK but your message to me stated that the time at your place of residence was 2 hours before UK time and in fact at 19.46 hrs today it stated the time at your place was 6.13pm so the times do not add up.
It now appears I am being accused of disruptive editing which may be true from your perspective but my intention has been to record the truth in order to protect the health and well-being of children, toddlers to teenagers, that on warm days play , paddle and swim in the mud and water of Pin Mill. I think their parents need to know that the waters and mud there is heavily contaminated by the daily out-pours of raw sewage and foul water from all the houseboats and holiday lets that dump all effluent straight onto the riverbed at all states of the tide. My comments on the true nature of Pin Mill have been there for over 3 months without any complaint but now it would appear I have committed some heinous crime by exposing the truth. Strange it should coincide with the advertising for sale of two houseboats owned by one person for a total sum in excess of £600,000 even though there is no facility for sewage disposal, no ownership of a lawful mooring, no permission to be in the river or to berth at Pin Mill and as boats not worth more than the scrap value of around £5,000 max. Planning permission is not granted to the houseboats and if it was it would not be lawful as Planning authorities have no power in law to make an unlawful act, lawful and no powers what-so-ever to give any permission to any vessel on the river to moor in the river. That power lies solely with the Ipswich harbour authorities If you want proof of that I can provide references to all the law and Appeal Court Judgements on this point. As to the reference to traditional vessels of interest to others, the facts are the word traditional has no place in the publication. For proof that it is a scrap yard within a place of outstanding natural beauty, a conversation area and a triple S I area just look at the numerous aerial views of the area on Utube. It is the case that Wikipedia entries are used those that wish to mislead the public for profit and to promote their activities. Sadly I am much too old to take on the understanding of all your editing rules so I will resign for now and just leave matters to Babergh DC,ABP, Natural England, The Environment Agency, MMO. MCA and the Police all of whom are investigating the multitude of illegalities at Pin Mill.→→→→ →→ — Preceding unsigned comment added by BINMAN (talk • contribs) 19:47, 7 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi BINMAN yes time stamps can be a bit odd here as there is various caching that happens, some times are localised, and some ignore daylight saving - I have just updated my approx time box at the top of this page to say my location, automatically add daylight saving (I have forgotten to adjust) and also this box had a refresh icon to check its up-to-date. So hopefully it will be clearer in future for others, thanks.
- I understand your perspective as I'm sure others do - no one want to have sewage in a pubic area especially if kids use it. However, if they are really dumping raw sewage this should be reported to the authorities as this must violate public health regulations? Also it sounds like the type of story the local papers, news would cover? "Strange it should coincide with the advertising for sale of two houseboats", are you really suggesting random editors who are not local are working to enable some random boat owner to sell his boats? I found one ad for the boats here at I wouldn't pay that much for it, but I suspect house prices are high in that area. I does not mention sewage or clean water, but I do notice it says its "National Trust Woodland area" so that would be another good place to complain too. I'm a member of the NT and would expect them to care if raw sewage is being dumped on, or next to there land. If this was on my doorstep I would be writing to as many organisations as I could find with an interest, and my local politician(s). Ah..... I just got to the bottom of your reply, and if that list of organisations is investigating then hopefully they will find some way to address the issue, but it is often helpful to some organisations to have official complaints on record so if you haven't done so already make some.
- Finally, it was RA0808 not myself that reverted your last two edits citing disruptive editing however for the first one they kindly pointed out the issue on your talk page User_talk:BINMAN#Reversion of your edit and suggested that you bring up any issues on the talk page Talk:Pin Mill. If you select the "new section" link from the top of that page and write your concerns and most importantly add as many relevant sources (links) as you can find (Such as local paper reports, any links to investigations by those organisations you mentioned) you could then add Help me to the section if you wish to ask someone to look at what you post and ask if someone can add any material compliant with the guidelines. I'm sorry that you did not like my edits. The editing was necessary. Perhaps if you reviewed the original text, you might see that. Just because I do not log in every time does not mean I don't have a history of contributing to Wikipedia. Again, a simple check of the user contributions history might show that to you. Revert on adding Aung La N Sang to Andrew's University's Notable People
Hey so I don't think the fact that Aung La N Sang doesn't have a wikipedia page is grounds for considering him not notable. If you Google him, you'll find that there is a lot of evidence that he is notable, just he's so recently become internationally known that no one yet has bothered to write a wikipedia page since a lot of the info is already available on other platforms. Your decision overall, just I think you didn't look into it before you wrote it off as spam since you turned it over so quickly.
- Hi 129.10.95.168, all additions to notable people should either have an article, or have a valid reference so show they are notable (and that they are associated with the place in question). If we allow plain names the lists just build up with crud, also people reading the article should be able to answer the question of who they are by either going to an article or a link. Please feel free to add back with the references. hope that explains things, all the best KylieTastic (talk) 20:22, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
Help design a new feature to stop harassing emails
Hi there,
The Anti-Harassment Tools team plans to start develop of a new feature to allow users to restrict emails from new accounts. This feature will allow an individual user to stop harassing emails from coming through the Special:EmailUser system from abusive sockpuppeting accounts.
We’re inviting you to join the discussion because you voted or commented in the 2016 Community Wishlist discussion or IdeaLab discussion about letting users restrict who can send them email.
You can leave comments on this discussion page or send an email to the Anti-Harassment Tools team.

An edit to Celia Cruz's page I didn't make
Hello there.
I received a message from you about an edit I didn't make, but that's probably because this IP address is a school IP address. There's a good chance that this IP address, since it's open to all students through the WiFi, will have a lot of vandalism associated with it. Just a heads up.
Greetings from Florida! How's the UK?
168.254.225.65 (talk) 11:48, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 168.254.225.65 no worries we understand the nature of shared addresses, but we have to warn generally as we cannot identify one user from another. Actually there isn't a lot of vandalism, this IP has only done the 1 edit before (this) changing "Celia Cruz" to "Homer Simpson". It must be a well run school as some IP addresses associated with schools have vast historical amounts of vandalism edits and frequent blocks. The UK is a lot colder and wetter than Florida, but less severe weather - I hope you didn't get hit too bad by the Hurricane. All the best from the other side of the pond. Missouri Theatre Spelling Correction
Thanks so much for your time to review my edits for the Missouri Theatre. I was wanting to fix the name to the real name of the venue. The signage on the building, the original name, etc are all Missouri Theatre...not Missouri Theater. Missouri Theatre Program - Opening Night
The link shows the correct spelling from the opening night program at the Missouri Theatre.
Thanks -- Andrew
- Hi Abramlage if the Missouri Theater and Missouri Theater Building historically spelt the name Theatre then its fine to add that as an additional note. In fact I would encourage it, as its important historical information on how these things change. Its not often I've come across the active change in spelling from British to American. However as the both the current usage and historical asset record (this) use Theater its unacceptable to assert a spelling on the whole article. Its unfortunate that that document has no date on it as that would add historical value. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:06, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi KylieTastic! Can I ask you about discussion about my draft you declined before? I studied throughly the rules and added all necessary things, following the instructions and advices of your and previous editors carefully. There are the published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject, for example PC Worls and CNET. I really studied all Wiki rules concerning notability and sure the draft meets the requirements. Not mentions, listings etc, but articles, reviews, opinions of trusted organisations. More over there is an article about the subject in Russian Wiki here: https://ru.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=NANO_%D0%90%D0%BD%D1%82%D0%B8%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%80%D1%83%D1%81 so it could be considered as translation to other language (English). But the draft was declined again by Zippix, I tried to discuss with him, but he didn't replied. Can you help? Thank you! Miss.hunter (talk)
- Hi Miss.hunter I'm very busy today but wanted to just respond so you didn't feel ignored. Maybe Zppix was dealing with other real-life stuff and it appears there talk page is auto archived after just 65 hours so they may not have seen the message. I'll try to find time to look this weekend, but I may be working so no promises. Note that we do have a Articles for creation Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. You've done the correct thing adding more sources, but without reviewing them I can't say if I agree they meet the notability standards. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:11, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you so much Kylie! Miss.hunter (talk)
- Hi Miss.hunter, I just had a quick look and one of the first things we do is a copyright violations check [6] and although you have formated them as quotes they as still large chunks of direct copied text from a copyrighted source. Its a difficult one because in a way it is a more honest way to quote the review directly but I would think some would challenge this as a Copyright violations so it would be better to paraphrase. Also saying "NANO Antivirus achieved five VB100 awards" would seem a bit misleading as it failed the latest (although I not sure why, the site is unclear) - remember this is a Neutral POV Encyclopedia not a review or advert. The links in the "Online scanners" section just go to the sites and not to pages actually verifying the claim that Nano is included. The whole article does just read like a product advert or listing. The "System requirements" should probably go as already mentioned in leed. So at the moment if it was moved to the main-space it would probably be flagged for a deletion discussion as not having much depth of coverage. Feel free to ask for other opinions at Articles for creation Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 11:04, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie, thank you so much! So what I should do to improve the draft the following: to remove quotes, just left mention about the good responce and links, add links to online scanners pages verifying that NANO is included. As for five avards, this is not misleading as the product really has those awards. But if it looks like adv, I should remove it, right? Also I will edit the "System requirements" to make them the same as in the Russian version. And then I need to resubmit, right? Miss.hunter (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 10:18, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Miss.hunter don't just remove the quotes but paraphrase the key points and leave the references to the full details, and yes either find links that show its included in the online scanner or remove if can not be verified. As for the awards you can mention the 5 passed but to keep to our Wikipedia:Neutral point of view you should mention the latest failure. That's the difference between an advert and encyclopedic content, no bias. Something more like "As of October 2017 NANO Antivirus achieved five VB100 awards, but had failed to reach a pass on the latest test." A completely honest answer would be to say something like "Although NANO Antivirus failed to pass the the Virus Bulletin VB100 certification in the first the attempts it has since achieved five VB100 awards, but had failed to reach a pass on the latest test." I have simplified the information from the "System requirements" into the leed section here. Also if you can find any other sources/reviews it would help, but yes once you've tweaked resubmit. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:03, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Kylie, thanks a lot for all your help! I will revise and resubmit the draft. Cheers! Miss.hunter (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:58, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Not really understanding what the problem is? Ive used English . I have read the wiki uses and it says American English or English English can be used. So whete lies the problem? Also there is no such thing as British English. Britain is made up of England, wales & Scotland or with the Uk add Northern Ireland. All of which have their own languages but CHOOSE to use English... from England. Ollie8152 (talk) 15:59, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Ollie8152 did you not read down to the "Retaining the existing variety" section (MOS:RETAIN)? The problem is if we allow people to just assert there preferred spelling (or similarly preferred Era style) then articles get toggled back and forth between alternative spellings. The site could have, as some wanted, said the Foundation is American so use American English, but the policy of using spelling appropriate to the article if the subject merits it, otherwise "retaining the existing variety" is a much more inclusive policy. Also in most cases I have come across, the asserting is done in a way to cause errors: breaking wiki-links, templates, categories, images, reference url, actual book/article tittles, etc. For instance you broke an image with this edit, and wiki-links with this edit and this edit. Lastly British English is the accepted term for the spelling used in Britain and other places. KylieTastic (talk) 16:49, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Mansoura, Egypt
Hi there, I see that you’ve changed all edits I’ve done to the page “Mansoura, Egypt” although my tweaks were correct, according to the best of my knowledge, so I am wondering what is the reason behind your edits/corrections? I also have a question, have you actually lived in Al-Mansoura, Egypt or even been there before? Do you have any clue how Al-Mansoura is pronounced? I don’t mean to be rude or anything, I am just trying to figure what your background is cause honestly, your edits don’t make sense at all! I have to admit that I didn’t dig more in Wikipedia to find out how to change the header or in other words the title of the page from “Mansoura, Egypt” to “Al-Mansoura, Egypt” and your edits make sense if you are just changing the name to match the title so, please accept my apology if my message above sounded tough! But yes, the name of my lovely city is Al-Mansoura! Thanks for taking the time to read my message.
—-
- Hi 7pmto1am no I don't live in Mansoura, Egypt and no it's not rude to ask, in fact you come across very polite - so thank you. Wikipedia does not work by people adding what they personally know and has a guideline called Wikipedia:No original research. Information on Wikipedia should be backed by reliable sources, but in reality this is not possible for everything but is required for more serious things such as Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, controversial information and names of people, places etc. If sources can not be found, then such changes should be discussed first on the article talk page. I looked to see if you were fixing an obvious error, or just adding a point of view but obviously most sources are in Arabic. Often when names are translated into English from languages in non Latin alphabets/scripts there are multiple translations, sometimes with different variants being used even in official sources. From just experience on Wikipedia Arabic has many words translated with El- Al- or no prefix, after all even English word Arabic apparently is العَرَبِيَّة al-ʻarabiyyah and thus could have been translated starting Al-. I did note that the source for Mansoura University http://www.mans.edu.eg/en uses just Mansoura, and the Egyptian government site http://fas.gov.eg/En/MusemsDetailsE/9 refers to the Mansoura National Museum again no prefix. Searching all Egyptian government sites I found 473 hits for "El-Mansoura" "Al-Mansoura" 100 for "Al-Mansoura" but 11300 for just Mansoura. So I concluded that just like the word Arabic, Arabic: المنصورة is said and has a local translation El Manṣūra, but the English WP:COMMONNAME is Mansoura. Also your edits broke images, and wiki-links meaning the information about your city you love was degraded, which I'm sure was not your intention. Hope that explains things. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:29, 14 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your explanation - I actually would have done the same thing if I was in your shoes. Just out of curiosity, is it possible to unify the name all across the web? The reason why am asking is because I will finish my Ph.D. very soon from a prestigious university in the US and it is time to fill information (hometown is one of them) the way I like it to appear on the diploma and this is why I looked up Wikipedia to make sure my spelling is correct but honestly I was astonished when I seen the city name without any prefix. Soon after, I thought of editing Wikipedia according to the best of my knowledge, but you are right. Thanks again! —-
- Hi 7pmto1am sorry but I'm confused what you are asking - you said "you are right" but then appear to be asking for it to be changed? Also I'm not quite sure how what you put on your form is linked to the spelling on Wikipedia? I would have thought how Mansoura University or the Egyptian State Information Service spells it [7][8] would be more important to a US University. KylieTastic (talk) 09:45, 15 October 2017 (UTC)
Wild Terra Online logo
Hello.I'm trying to get the article page to the appropriate view. Add some description and graphical image. Including the game Logo and some images showing the gameplay and game world. At this stage of writing, I was faced with some limitations like file download and editing textual information. I would be very grateful if you provide me my mistakes and tell me how best to proceed when uploading images.
- Hi Mister BOOM the problem is to upload images you need to be Autoconfirmed which means you have to have 10 edits and had an account for 4 days. Then you just use the link on the left hand menu "Upload file" and use the Wizard so all the minimal required data is added. Also see Wikipedia:Uploading images. I have done this one for you. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:34, 14 October 2017 (UTC)

Wrong occupation classification of Gudlaugur Kristinn Ottarsson
Dear Kylie Tastic.
For decades, you have regularly wrongly classified the profession and activity of Gudlaugur Kristinn Ottarsson, which has indeed been very harmful for his carrier and his internet presence.
The most serious is your constant obsession that he must be a guitar player which is totally wrong - as you could just as well say that he is an astronaut or a hairdresser !
The fact is that he is a composer, inventor, alchemist, ghostbuster and a healer. For the last 20 years his largest contribution to humanity has been in mathematical physics which you seem to be in total denial - which raises the question of your evil agenda of sabotaging his carrier and lives work.
In fact, back in the day, Music was classified as a discipline of Mathematics, as indeed is the core of Gudlaugurs work almost since his birth.
So please take a notice of his profession here where his contribution to mathematical physics is documented:
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Gudlaugur_Ottarsson/publications
Indeed for anyone that does his homework, Music and Mathematical Physics go hand-in-hand and even more today when music and electronics and physics are married together.
In Iceland, his home country, he has never been associated with the craft of "gutarplaying" - while as a composer and an arranger, he sometimes uses the convenience and portability of composing his music on a guitar, while he has never taken any lessons on guitar playing => Please stop lying to the world that he is a "Guitar Player", as that is plainly wrong and could result in legal actions against him and his family.
His proper occupation is presently as an Alchemist, Ghostbuster, Healer, Composer and as a contributor to Mathematical Physics.
All the best,
Gudlaugur Kristinn Ottarsson, Academy of Industry and Arts, Head of research and development, (Redacted) 85.220.18.19 (talk) 14:39, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 85.220.18.19 I just reverted your edit because you deleted a large section without explanation. Most of the article is unsourced and dubious. It needs serious attention and possibly deletion. I'm busy with work at the moment, but I'll try to look at it sometime. However, you are free to remove unsourced information as long as you give a valid explanation. Without a reason it's difficult to tell the difference between vandalism and attempts to correct an article. Feel free to remove any unsourced information (which looks like most of it), but use an Edit summary and I would advise making a post on the talk page Talk:Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson first to explain your action. Alternatively you could ask for help correcting any errors/issues by asking at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 15:08, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
bifalo kouyate page
hi, please may you give news about bifalo kouyate page that I have submitted your attention and I am waiting for it to be validated and published
thanks in advance bye nuccia
- Hi Nuccia fontana it looks like you didn't resubmit the article after updating. Go to Draft:Bifalo Kouyate and use the big blue "Resubmit" button followed by the "Save changes" button at the bottom. It will then be reviewed by one of the many editors that review submitted articles, but note there is quite a backlog at the moment. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 15:26, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
Cornwell Tools
I think you made a mistake reverting my page of Cornwell Tools back. I am a current employee of the company and wanted to update the information on the page
- Hi KateW123 no you have made the mistake believe Wikipedia is for promotion rather than an Encyclopedia. You keep removing all references when all content on Wikipedia should be based on reliable sources mostly independent. Also see Wikipedia:Copyright violations, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, and WP:NOTPROMOTION. Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia that has articles about subjects not by subjects or for subjects - that the job of social media and your website. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:43, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
submission declined-Mohammed Ali
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage (not just mere mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies, the golden rule and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners and Help:Introduction to referencing/1), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
please give me information in simple words i need to know why our submission got declined also it is authentic and genuine how can i give verification to wiki that it is authentic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohdabedi (talk • contribs) 06:49, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Mohdabedi the article has no references at all. Just because you know the information is "authentic and genuine" is not how Wikipedia works (see Wikipedia:No original research). Also companies need to meet a notability standard to be allowed to have an article on Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies)) so unless other people have written about this company then it is unlikely to be able to have an article. Wikipedia is an Encyclopaedia not social media or a blog for companies to write about themselves. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:40, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes you are right kylie can you advise references in the sense. I can mention our website or what? I'm new to wikipedia so please suggest in way that it should got approved from wiki.. regards mohd abedi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohdabedi (talk • contribs) 04:34, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Mohdabedi you can use your own website to show some basic factual information is correct (and I have added wht I belive is the correct link), but for showing notability you need independent reliable sources i.e. other sites that have written about the company. Note that many companies can not reach this standard as they are not written about at all or at least enough. I work for such a company, we supply systems for many very big well known companies, but as no one writes about us we are considered not-notable. If your unsure if the company is notable enough, just add as many links to content written about the company (not business listing sites just just list that it exists) and then resubmit. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 18:53, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Rollback
as per wiki protocal re "biographies of living persons", the article titled "Maxwell Billion" fails to substantiate its mention of an alleged book titled "Six Virtues of the Modern Man" which appears as a lead on a page said to represent an American Author. Additionally, We The People are not satisfied with one Youtube link to a short video as being adequate proof of the subject being a treu representative of the short-lived television show known as Dr Drew Lifechangers. We The people believe it to also be worthy to enter the following fact for public knowledge. For the record, the person who goes by Maxwell Billieon hired a digital marketing team to create a digital presence for him. That's what led Max to eventually be cast for one season of Million Dollar Matchmaker. We have all the texts and emails and anyletics to prove this. It's also important to make known that not only did "Maxwell Billieon" turn on the "Patti Stanger" and "Candace Smith" in the process by slandering their names to the tabloids, he also failed to pay his debt with the very team he hired to get him where he WAS. Know why we are speaking in past tense? Because "Million Dollar Matchmaker" has since released "Maxwell Billieon" from its roster for he will not be returning to for the next season. "Maxwell Billieon" is all OPTICS and no different than a low grade Raffles Van Exel. GoneRogue (talk) 19:50, 17 October 2017 (UTC) "Justice" will prevail. You restored my WP:A7 tag on this page. The author removed the tag again and moved the page from the article namespace to the user namespace. Got an opinion on what to do now? I suppose that it should either be tagged for WP:U2 deletion or moved to the draft namespace. --Stefan2 (talk) 00:25, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Creating an Article
Hi KylieTastic,
Hope you’re well,
I’m Lasizwe Dambuza, an Internet and Television Personality in South Africa.
I would love for you to create a Wikipedia article/page for me. I’ve read through all the Wikipedia Edits you have made on South African Artists and think you would be perfect to work with.
I believe there are enough source references articles from reliable sources publications that has been written about me
Please consider this offer, Any Inquiries please don’t hesitate to contact me
Looking forward to your response, Kindest Regards Lasizwe Dambuza — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.113.176.154 (talk) 07:34, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Lasizwe Dambuza, I don't actually create new articles, I have a list of articles I keep meaning to create but I've never got around to creating any as I don't have the time . All the other work that needs to be done on Wikipedia keeps me busy enough. We have a place for people to request articles be created at Wikipedia:Requested articles, I would assume the more reliable sources you are able to give wit the request the more likely it is that someone will choose to write it. Or possibly you could ask at WikiProject South Africa as they have a requested article page here Wikipedia:WikiProject South Africa/Open tasks. Hope that helps, regards KylieTastic (talk) 14:26, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

hi, sorry for not noticing that it broke the image, I assumed that the "kkk" was some sort of vandalism (as huldrelokk is a word in Norwegian but we never have three identical consonants after one another.) thanks for fixing my mistake. --CatCat (talk) 20:47, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Please Communicate Respectfully
Hi Kylie Tastic, I would appreciate it if you refrain from throwing around terms such as "vanadalism", and that if you choose to communicate with myself or other people, please ensure to do so respectfully and without implying people are vandals. I have not insulted you.
In terms of the edit in question, I should point out that a number in itself does not mean anything unless put in context, and the context that May has received the lowest ever rating provides the necessary historical context with which to interpret this number. Therefore the edit was legitimate, and I will re-instate. Irving2000 —Preceding undated comment added 09:24, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Irving2000, the wording of the warning is part of a standard template (this Template:Uw-vandalism2) and the key word you missed is "appears", and once you understand what we are seeing you'll understand. I as I said on your talk page that I assumed you may have a browser add-on that changes "T R U M P" without spaces to "D R U M P F" - I stupidly didn't realise if you would just see only Drumpf in that case so just "Drumpf to Drumpf" instead of "Trump to Drumpf". Sorry I did not think of that sooner, and I didn't see your response on your talk page as I don't stalk talk pages. We have had a lot of actual vandals deliberately changing "T R U M P" to "D R U M P F" in the past, but occasionally as I assume is the case here doing it by accident. So your edit here changed 12 occurrences of "T R U M P" to "D R U M P F" and I didn't notice that actual new content you added further down in the article. Hope that makes sense now? Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 11:20, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
Guam namechange to Guåhån considered "unconstructive"
The official name of the island is Guåhån. Guåhån has been the name for over 4,000 years. Wikipedia not only has listed the wrong name but is perpetuating colonial rhetoric by keeping the name of the island that was given to us by invaders and colonizers. Changing the name to the actual name isn't vandalism. It is also not unconstructive or vandalism. Please refrain from listing the post as vandalism if it isn't actually so and stop reversing changes to a post that is factually and historically inaccurate and insensitive.
- Hi, the official recognised name as you know is Guam. I'm sorry that I'm unfamiliar with native claims, but it's not surprising to hear due to the gross ways some western counties (including my own) have treated indigenous populations in the past. However, Wikipedia is not a platform for such political arguments and just asserting your view over the currently (even if morally wrong) accepted name is considered vandalism. The name Guåhån is mentioned in the lead and infobox header and even if locally it was known as Guåhån, as this is English Wikipedia we use the accepted common English name rather than the local one anyway, such as Germany rather than Deutschland. I would personally also use the local true names, but for the moment that is not the English Wikipedia policy. If you have an issue with that article bring it up on the talk page, for even in cases where it is correct big changes should always first be discussed on the talk page. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 19:53, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
- And there is a redirect for it. Besides the above, there is wp:commonname which I sometimes disagree with, but I suspect is also true here. (I once was in a big discussion about Ethernet hub, which it seems is the common, but not technically correct, name for a 10baseT repeater.) Also, I don't normally (talk page stalker) unless the edit summary of an edit makes it seem reasonable. Also, there is nothing in the Guam talk page about this. Ok sorry
My bad
I updated info and you took it away.
Hey Kyle!
I recentely updated the information on the Clara Hagman. The information was really old and a lot of things where untrue. What I wrote was:
Clara Mae is a gifted singer/songwriter who couples signature seductive vocals with raw and relatable lyrics producing a distinctive blend of electronic and pop music. Born in a small town up north in Sweden called Gävle, Clara grew up with music and sports around her. Athletics shaped an edge to her sporty aesthetic. She studied Jazz vocals and piano for 3 years, which ignited her passion for writing music and experiment with melodies. Her practice eventually led to a publishing deal and she moved to Stockholm to work full-time with music. Early in her carrier she got co-writes from some of the most dignified electronic artists – David Guetta & Tiesto. Clara recently co-wrote and featured on Norwegian producers KREAM’s single “Taped Up Heart” streaming over 75 million times. Clara has since pivoted her focus to writing for herself – discovering the importance of her lyrics being used to tell her story. Clara Mae’s debut single as a solo artist “I’m Not Her”, which arrives soon on Big Beat Records/ Atlantic, stems from the concept of relatability in relationships, and how every human’s natural tendency is to compare one’s self to their former partners new lover. “I’m Not Her” is about embracing who you are, and be proud about the fact there is no one else like you. Clara’s music will continue to pay an ode to relatability as her career as a solo artist unfolds, revealing stories of love, lust and everything in between.
This is the updated biography from Atlantic Records. Please let me know if you want me to re-write any.
/ Clara Hagman herself.
- Hi Clara hagman as I posted to your talk page we have guidelines here, this is an Encyclopedia not for promotion. Your "biography from Atlantic Records" is clearly going to be biased and promotional, as well as probably making this a Copyright violation. First we very strongly discourage editing with a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest as it usually breaks other guidelines. Such as having a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view which "gifted singer" " signature seductive vocals" "distinctive blend" are just in the first sentence. Also content on Wikipedia must be sourced with reliable sources that are independent of the topic. This does mean that if any information that you think is incorrect and is not sourced can be removed, but you can not just claim "The information was wrong" and remove information with sources. Writing about yourself without using independent reliable sources also comes foul of the Wikipedia:No original research guidelines. To avoid further issues with our guidelines I would recommend posting any issues with the content to the articles talk page Talk:Clara Hagman (you can add help to ask for asistance) or asking for an editor without a COI to help at the Wikipedia:Teahouse. Edit Removed
Hi
Not sure why my edit was removed, new to wiki . I added senior most teachers in the section and who has got a good reputation and name in schooling faculty.
Will be great if you can help me understand so that I dont do any more mistakes as being new to Wikipedia
Thanks In anticipation of your help Ady — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ady2017 (talk • contribs) 20:57, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Ady2017 ahh ok - I assume it was just a mistake - you can see your edit here you overall removed 870 bytes of data by removing the infobox (the box in the top right of the page with general info) with your edit. Also apart from that your information was not sourced (no reference) and phrases like "Highly qualified teachers with immense experience" are not neutral and Encyclopedic. Remember Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia not a place to promote. Hope that explains things - Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 21:03, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
09:44:36, 2 November 2017 review of submission by Shinniemusic
- Shinniemusic (talk · contribs)
I have made a page for Siamak Ebrahimi, and I submitted for a review but it was declined. I haven't written much about him but I have posted references to show reliability of the source of my writing. I submitted the article for a re-review and I am awaiting a reply for acceptance of the article. I till haven't figured out why such a short article must be declined. I have changed the paragraph to a shorter version without indicating his work abroad, which seems to be problem, but still when I search the name Siamak Ebrahimi in the search box, I wont see the article page. Please help me through building an article page for Siamak Ebrahimi — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shinniemusic (talk • contribs) 09:44, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Shinniemusic all article have to pass one of the notability guidelines to be acceptable for Wikipedia, also all articles need to be referenced to show both what is written is true and to show notability. in this case its Wikipedia:Notability (people) that is the guideline that applies. So it was not the length, or anything to do with the section you removed, but only rejected as it had no references at all. I see you have added some now, but I haven't looked at them to determine if they show notability or not as I'm really busy at work. As you have resubmitted someone will review at some point, maybe soon, but as there is a backlog of 1800 submissions it may take a while. Please note you can add more information and sources while waiting. If you want to ask for more advise you can ask at the Articles for creation Help desk] or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. 5 November 2017 review of Sri Sarma
I added many references. please dont delete.
Mim.cis (talk) 04:53, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Mim.cis I added the PROD because it had no references and all Biographies of living persons must have sources, it now does so that is no longer a concern. It is no longer flagged for deletion but you should look at the sections someone has tagged as [citation needed] and add sources. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 12:20, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thank-you. I appreciate very much your thoughtful process.
Delta Lambda - Notability
Hello KylieTastic,
You recently made an edit on my page Delta Lambda, that had been overtaken from student alumnus in U.E. Manila. New information about the fraternities' beginnings have also been recently uncovered and are still being naturalized in the proper manner. I understand these changes are drastic, but they are legitimate changes to the organization. Officials from the U.E. and surrounding Philippine citizens have been quite cooperative with the entire process. Thank you for hearing my inquiry, and I hope that you see it through so we can properly broadcast the new and stronger roots of this fraternity to everyone via Wikipedia. Cheers!
Delta Lambda President Michigan State University — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beexj (talk • contribs) 19:45, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Beexj personal statements mean nothing here as although most wish we lived in an honest open world, many are not. All Wikipedia articles need to be well sourced, your version has none. As such both versions are completely un-sourced to show any notability as such both should be removed. KylieTastic (talk) 19:53, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
KylieTastic , please don't schedule the page for deletion. If I was to find some posted sources for things listed in the page what should I include sources about? If I can't find exact sources on certain things what should I do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beexj (talk • contribs) 20:05, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
KylieTastic, Also, the past page representing Delta Lambda was outdated, with outdated sources. If I can produce current sources with references that are also relevant may you revert the changes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beexj (talk • contribs) 20:15, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Beexj sources are key to proving things are true, so yes if you can make changes that are sourced that as at least a step forward. The old version only had a yahoo group as as ref so should never had existed, but your version had nothing. Add any sources you can find quickly. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:22, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- KylieTastic sorry about that, I will edit my current versions and post it with as many sources as I can find that are readily available. Thanks for being patient with me! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beexj (talk • contribs) 20:26, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Beexj note that AfD discussions tend to take days or weeks (depending) so although time is ticking, you still have time. Also in the case of an article being deleted, a proper referenced version can be created via Wikipedia:Articles for creation, so it would be nothing permanent. We are only concerned with information on Wikipedia being accurate, notable and verifiable. Cheers and good luck, I would always prefer an article be saved with edits and sources than deleted. Updated information
Greetings,
I am Carlton Mitchell. I recently changed some information under the name Judah Punch. How can we fix this?
I'd like to change "Free Agent" to "Retired"
And
"American football player" to Hebrew Isrealite football player.
I would also like to select a proper photo.
Please advise
Sincerely,
Carlton Mitchell. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JudahPunch (talk • contribs) 04:51, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi JudahPunch we can obviously not confirm you are Carlton Mitchell and even if you are then that is not how Wikipedia works (see our guideline Wikipedia:Conflict of interest). Wikipedia is not social media, a blog, or any form of outlet for a person, company etc. it it written based on independent reliable sources so if you have sources for any changes they could possibly be made. I see "Free Agent" has already been removed and the description to "a former" so first part covered. "American football player" is what Carlton Mitchell is known for, or as it says now "a former American football wide receiver", a quick google for "Hebrew Israelite football player" shows zero hits, its not a term that means anything and would just confuse readers, unless it was linked to a news article etc that explained. "Hebrew Israelite" is also not a term that they appear to use on there of social media As for a new image, images need to be under a suitable free licence, so most already published images are not usable on Wikipedia, which is why the existing picture is not a good one. You can take new images and upload them to Wikimedia Commons (with the same account as here) Commons Upload Wizard. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:16, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Vandalism is the negative consequence we have to deal with, but the account in question has made no more edits at all so hopefully they wont so it again. If they did vandalise again and again they would be warned then blocked. Pages can be protected, but the standards require large amounts of frequent vandalism before the admins will do this, and then usually only for a short period. - Hi Ozzie10aaaa no problem. I was going to look at the code myself after looking at the issue.... but real life kicked in and I've not had much time for Wiki stuff. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:16, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

revision of a species name
The name polyedrum should be polyedra : http://www.algaebase.org/search/species/detail/?species_id=a3eb067ac89fbfea9
specifically see section called Nomenclatural notes "Polyedra" is a noun in apposition and not an adjective, and is not declinable. - (24 Feb 2016) - M.D. Guiry
Morseds (talk) 16:26, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Morseds you need to include references in the article not here see Help:Referencing for beginners. Also you broke the image on Lingulodinium polyedrum 'correcting' file names. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 16:51, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
Sorry to have broken something! I have added a new micrograph to make up for it! I will try to add the reference, maybe as a footnote? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Morseds (talk • contribs) 18:51, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Morseds I see you use the Visual Editor, as I don't I do not know how you add references with it. However I believe you just click in the text the reference should be added (such as add the end of the first line that introduces the name, or even directly after the name) and then click the 'Cite' on the top toolbar that should open a dialogue to add the url and click generate. Unfortunately I'm not editing much on Wikipedia at the moment due to real life so I'd just like to point you to the Wikipedia:Teahouse where you can ask questions to get help from experienced editors looking to help others. Changes in Wikipedia
Good morning KylieTastic, I am Stein256. I am here to talk about the changes you made to my edit of the Wikipedia page of Metroid Prime: Trilogy. You see, I removed the link of the game's official website because said website does not exist anymore. I hope you understand why I did it, and I hope we can someday become friends. Sincerely, Stein256 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stein256 (talk • contribs) 17:14, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Stein256 your edit summary said "I fixed a word." and the edit removed a link so it looked like vandalism, unfortunately we do get a lot of mindless vandals do do edits like this for 'fun'. No worries. All the best KylieTastic (talk) 17:41, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
Hey! Based on your edits to NationStates, I thought maybe you would be interested that I started a series of userboxes for the game. Feel free to add any or add your own!-🐦Do☭torWho42 (⭐) 06:35, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
Edits in Aviation Accidents list
Hallo!: regarding your observations of Sept 20, 2017, I don't remember having made any deletion, it will be of help to me if you can point which are the deletions attributed to me, which may go beyond eliminating spelling or wording or formatting mistakes. Thanks, have a nice Xmas and New year 2018. Regards. Salut +--Hijuecutivo (talk) 09:59, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Hijuecutivo you can see the total edits here in comtaxt you can see the edits at the bottom of this page of history. The first large edit was odd as it did appear to included many valid edits, but a lot of other links, text, references, images, etc were also removed with no explanation. Since the edit summary was "corrected missing links" I assume this was by accident. All the next, and have a great Christmas and New Year, KylieTastic (talk) 11:32, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
Teach me.
Good morning KylieTastic. I need you to teach me how to add an image on Wikipedia. You see, I am still new on Wikipedia and it would be nice if you helped me. Stein256 (talk) 13:26, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Stein256 some useful links to help...
- Wikipedia:Images - General starting place for info on images
- Wikipedia:Picture tutorial - for a tutorial on adding images to articles
- Wikipedia:Uploading images for uploading your own images (copyright allowing)
- However as you appear to be doing mobile edits I'm not sure how that helpful that will be.... I've never done more that a simple bit of text on a mobile.
