Proposed deletion of City of Blood

The article City of Blood has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable film, appears to fail WP:NFILM. Tagged for notability since May 2018.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Films directed by Kenneth S. Webb

A tag has been placed on Category:Films directed by Kenneth S. Webb requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Speedy deletion nomination of Wolfgang Becker (director)

A tag has been placed on Wolfgang Becker (director) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This relink page should never have been created in the first place, since there are two German film directors of the same name, who I've moved to Wolfgang Becker (director, born 1910) and Wolfgang Becker (director, born 1954) now, after this discussion. This frees up Wolfgang Becker to be the disambiguation page. There is no plausible use for this former relink page, since it cannot target both directors at the same time, nor become a disambiguation page. But its continued existence can lead to plenty of confusion and false linking. Please delete.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.

Personal note:

Hi Lord Cornwallis, I posted the above on the page Wolfgang Becker (director). While your were probably not aware of the existence of the other director named Wolfgang Becker in 2016, when you created this relink, I hope you agree that it cannot serve any useful purpose, neither as a redirect, nor as a disambiguation page. Greetings fron --Sprachraum (talk) 20:12, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Improving Draft Pages

With your expertise and sources, I was wondering if you might be able to improve these draft articles to get them into mainspace.

Usually, you have access to books and things, which I don't. If you can amend and improve these pages, we can get them up as proper articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C6:D884:6401:B9C4:4136:3945:4288 (talk) 11:13, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for the delay. All three look to me notable people and well-written articles. While I have some books at home, I often just use Google Books when creating articles. I'm not sure there is a great deal I could add to any of them, but I would certainly support their creation in any discussion. Lord Cornwallis (talk)
Draft:Christopher Saul (not long back) and Draft:Darrol Blake are two other pages I wonder if you could have a gander over and see how they can be improved/amended. JT has now become a main article.2A00:23C6:D884:6401:7930:27E1:C411:7728 (talk) 14:51, 19 March 2021 (UTC)

Edit summaries, please

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Eric talk 02:02, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello again- Please ask for help if there's anything you don't understand in the above message. Eric talk 13:00, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

Apologies for not responding to your first comment, I must have missed it. I mostly create new articles so a great deal of my edits involve working on or adding links to them, generally on very low traffic pages. When it comes to higher traffic pages I generally try to add edit summaries, but sometimes in my haste I miss them. I will try and be more diligent in adding them. Dear Lord Cornwallis! Can you make an article about rare American film Rescue Force 1989? Thank you! --92.100.30.0 (talk) 09:18, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi, I'm not sure it would pass the notability threshold for a separate article. Lord Cornwallis (talk) 11:17, 15 May 2021 (UTC)

Francis Brett Young#Main works

Is every book published by this not-well-known author notable enough to require a standalone article? They are almost all stubs, cite 1 or 2 references to books about the author (not really independent coverage of an individual book). Wouldn't it be better to aggregate into a single article with each book its own section and a gallery of the book covers. When the text becomes long enough for any book split off into a standalone article. -- GreenC 15:20, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay in responding. On balance, in terms of notability I'd say most of Brett Young's works would qualify for standalone articles. He was a bestselling novelist of the interwar era (if now rather less famous) and his works were published in London and New York City and will have been widely reviewed individually at the time. Definitely the articles could do with improvement, but that is always the case with stubs. Lord Cornwallis (talk) 15:07, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
I responded at Talk:Francis Brett Young. Mathglot (talk) 17:52, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Mademoiselle X

Hello, thanks for creating the article on the film Mademoiselle X. Are you planning to add some references to demonstrating significant coverage of this topic in independent, reliable sources? IMDb does not qualify, and currently there's no notability demonstrated for this topic. See Wikipedia:Notability (films). Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 15:11, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Can you expand on this point. IMDB isn't the only source in the article. Regards, Lord Cornwallis (talk) 21:05, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of Black Hills (film)

The article Black Hills (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film. Searching "Black Hills" film on Google returns tons of unrelated results to the subject, however searching "Black Hills" 1947 film returns more related results, however they all appear to be listing places where you can watch the movie.

― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 15:09, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Replacement of Clifford Pember

In January 2014 you started an article about the art director Clifford Pember that has recently been altered in order to make it relate to a different person altogether. In June this year a user called Susan1621 carried a large number of edits to the article and converted it to one describing someone else, in what appears to be wholesale vandalism. The user in question has swiftly reverted any editors who have tried to reinstate the original content and the new person being described under the same name seems to lack notability - thereby probably explaining the reason for carrying out the subterfuge. Are you aware of this? --Riftbase (talk) 13:40, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Reginald Green

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Reginald Green requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. RFZYNSPY talk 06:49, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Obviously looking for internet references in 2021 for someone who died in 1973 is difficult task. Please feel free to dispute this, but as as far as I can see with my best efforts Green was simply a journeyman actor who had various bit parts in British films and TV programmes. Again, as stage actor as far as I can see Green was never in "Rep" - only as far as I can see on the internet in 2021. I would appreciate your opinion about this; and as always, more than happy to be proven wrong. Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 10:14, 4 November 2021 (UTC)
