Thanks for uploading File:City of Bessemer, Alabama Official Seal.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aoidh (talk) 02:10, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading a updated version, I imagine this version will now be redundant as the updated version is now used. Should I upload images as .png in the future? Kind regards, Luke Hirst (talk) 07:38, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey I just saw this comment, I uploaded a newer version because the above version had a lot of (I don't know the technical term) distortion/bleed of the letters so it was kind of hard to tell what it said and some details in the center were lost. I'm not sure if it was the svg program you used that did some kind of trace or something, but what I was able to do was just save the image directly from the website and shrink it down a tiny bit (for WP:IMAGERES considerations), that way no details were lost. I'm not really a "file person" on Wikipedia so I'm by no means an expert on file usage, but I don't think it matter what format it's in, I think all that matters is that the end result works for the article. - Aoidh (talk) 13:49, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
