editHello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Denise Crosby, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! DonIago (talk) 18:49, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Some Like It Hot. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 01:46, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at John Slater (actor), you may be blocked from editing. CodeTalker (talk) 03:26, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Robert Montgomery (actor). CodeTalker (talk) 19:20, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
Kathryn Erbe edit
editI have reverted your addition of a date of birth to Kathryn Erbe. In addition to Wikipedia's basic principle of citing sources (Wikipedia:Citing sources), a special need for citations applies with regard to elements of a biography of a living person (WP:BLPPRIVACY). Feel free to add a date of birth when it is accompanied by a citation to a reliable, published source. Eddie Blick (talk) 02:33, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. I'm new to this. Mag Wildwood (talk) 04:50, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
PS. I noticed there was no d.o.b. so I looked it up then added it. I don't know how to add the source citation. Sorry about that. Mag Wildwood (talk) 05:15, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
Minor edits
editHi. Please refrain from marking edits as minor when they're not. Minor edits are supposed to be impossible to dispute, such as clear typos, spelling errors, formatting fixes etc. Currently, you're marking all your edits as minor. The fact that almost every edit you make gets reverted suggests that these edits aren't minor. In general, your edits are problematic, but a simple way to go about editing more constructively would be to stop marking edits as minor, explain them with edit summaries and try to refrain from adding mistakes. At least two of these seem doable. Thanks.NEDOCHAN (talk) 19:07, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
Noted and thanks for explaining that. Newspaper editing and Wikipedia editing are clearly very different and I have had my hand slapped hard but you have explained why, which I appreciate. Mag Wildwood (talk) 05:31, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
PS. You're not the one who slapped my hand, by the way!But I had a couple of very nasty messages, not just on here. Mag Wildwood (talk) 05:36, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

editHello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Dieter Meier, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thank you for your help. I'm new to this and it seems I have made many mistakes. You have been very nice though in the way you told me. A couple of people have been quite nasty, which was counter-attack give as it just annoyed me. I only edit - or try to edit - subjects and people about whom I am knowledgeable and I only have good intentions, no personal agenda or revisionist history from me. I am learning that editing on Wikipedia is a bit of a baptism by fire! Mag Wildwood (talk) 05:13, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
Unsourced descriptors and misleading edit summaries
editPlease see this edit summary re your recent edit ... if you do that again, you may be blocked. You've had plenty of relevant warnings. Graham87 14:09, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
I don't understand what I've done wrong. Perhaps you can help me as I'm new to this and I have only good intentions. At first, I thought this was someone throwing their weight about but now I see I was wrong. Unfortunately, I have discovered that there are people like that on Wikipedia and I have tried to find out what to do and how to correct any rules but when I'm blocked from doing that, there's not much else I can do. I am shocked to discover that you can even get blocked for agreeing with someone's comment on the talk page, even when their, and your, comments weren't rude or abusive, just both thinking that the page was clearly biased and poorly written. I don't understand why this is allowed. I viewed this person's history (not a robot editor) and they block people all the time. I was just one of many in one day!! Also, on the talk page, he removed one of the original comments that I replied to, then lied about the reason for his action. In fact, he removed both my replies and my own comment but I know I didn't break any rules because I checked. I really don't think I'm in the wrong in this case but I didn't understand your actions either. However, that was a few weeks ago and I've only been editing (or trying to) for two months. If you can forgive me for my misunderstanding, would you consider helping me to become a better editor? I was a journalist my whole working life so there must be some hope! editWhen I see a mistake, incorrect or incomplete information on a page I am reading, after checking my sources, I tried to help to improve the page with small edits. This has always been my only intention. I don't know yet the process of editing Wiki but I was a journalist my whole working life so I know a little about words and grammar. It seems I have broken several rules on here. Forgive me. Any help gratefully received. Please no more aggressive comments, threats to block, etc.even for my comments on a talk page where I agreed with other comments that a page was incomplete and extremely biased. That's just my opinion. To block me and remove the other people's earlier comments is not something I thought was part of the rules. You can see, I need help!
As above! Any constructive help or comments welcome. Mag Wildwood (talk) 05:28, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
