Your sandbox
editYou made an inquiry on the Wikimedia Commons help desk that I presume was about User:MaryAnthonyStartz/sandbox. You would do better to ask at Wikipedia:Help desk (Commons is an entirely separate project).
I don't monitor a watchlist for the English-language Wikipedia these days, so I will not see if you respond here, but here are a few pointers:
- What you've written so far is not in the style of a Wikipedia article. I suggest you look through half a dozen articles on similar subjects and get a sense of that style; your article is far more likely to be accepted if it is written in the usual style. In particular:
- The article should start with a lede: name, birth & death dates, short summary of who he was & why he's notable. Maybe I'm missing something, but at a quick skim, I cannot tell why this person would be important enough to merit an encyclopedia article. Most army sergeants do not meet that threshold, and a quick read does not indicate any extraordinary achievements on his part.
- Use mediawiki markup. Link relevant articles by using the [[article name]] syntax in your text.
- The article should be written as a continuous narrative, with virtually all issues of documentary evidence confined to footnotes.
When you've dealt with those issues, you can either copy-paste from your own sandbox page to the correct page in article space (presumably something like William McNamara (U.S. soldier) or you can "move" the sandbox page content to that new page (which would preserve the history of the edits you made while it was in the sand box). In either case, you would want to add an entry to William McNamara (disambiguation). I hope some of that helps. - Jmabel | Talk 01:18, 13 January 2017 (UTC)

About your draft on William McNamara
editHello MaryAnthonyStartz. I've put some minor fixes on your Draft:William McNamara (soldier). It's fixed the infobox problem, and seeing as everything else looks relatively in order, I'd suggest you resubmit it for review. I hope you haven't been discouraged by the previous rejection. Our reviewers over at AFC have a lot of content to sort through and often can't stop to make minor fixes. Feel free to ask me any additional questions at my talk page. -Indy beetle (talk) 20:56, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
