Image attribution error during transwiki

I am writing in reference to commons:Image:Canal 035.jpg. I originally uploaded it to English Wikipedia in January 2003. Then, in October 2007, it was transwikied to Commons and original attribution for the image was given to "Mintguy". All Mintguy ever did was to pointlessly lower the size of the image (I guess he wasn't aware of how the thumbnail system worked?), a change that was later reverted. As you can understand, I'm kind of upset that he was given attribution for the photograph when in actuality the only people who deserve any credit for this photograph are me, for being at the falls and taking it, and Brian0918, for some later post-processing. I've corrected the error, but this has left me concerned enough to go back and check all of my previous image uploads to verify that credit to me hasn't disappeared on any of them. I would urge you and anyone else involved in the transwiki process to be a lot more careful. You have to look at the history of image description page, including all deleted revisions, to make sure you know the whole story. --Cyde Weys 14:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Cyde. Attribution information is copied automatically by BetacommandBot from file history which listed Mintguy as original uploader. It seems that there is a missing file upload entry which caused that error. As I can see you have already corrected attribution info on Commons, so I guess that this settles this issue. Cheers! --Meno25 (talk) 16:19, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

A MenoBot edit to sv.wiki

Hello! In this edit iw-links was moved from the top of the page to the bottom. Is there a way to stop that from happening again, as we like the links to be at the top of the page since the "new section" button creates problems otherwise? MiCkE 17:53, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Micke. You can add {{nobots}} so that interwiki bots ignore the page. --Meno25 (talk) 19:37, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
Ideally I'd like the bots to update the links, but leave them in place. But I can't have everything I guess. In that case it's probably better just to move them back manually when ever a bot has updated them. Thanks any way, MiCkE 20:27, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

You received this message because your were on the old list of WikiProject Physics participants.

On 2008-06-25, the WikiProject Physics participant list was rewritten from scratch as a way to remove all inactive participants, and to facilitate the coordination of WikiProject Physics efforts. Your bot on Arabic Wikipedia

Hi. It seems that your bot was working while not logged in on Arabic Wikipedia. Please fix this. --Meno25 (talk) 21:20, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Before you posted this here I identified and resolved the problem. Problem was related to calibration of the bot's username (bot's username recently changed on some wikis). While a block of the bot is no big deal, please do not block on the first sign of a problem - especially if the bot isn't doing something absurd. Block of the bot increases my workload. For example, your block has completely crashed all running interwiki processes. I was only interwiki linking my userpage and bot userpage (to make sure everything worked). -- Cat chi? 04:21, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello, your update of interwiki on cs.wiki was wrong. The problem was with national characters as in case of pl.interwiki, sk.interwiki or hu.interwiki done by you. Please be careful doing such editions. --Ludek (talk) 17:07, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Good morning to you and Greetings from Calabria! Do I write you regarding these two articles, could translate out of politeness them from English into Arabic? Two actors of a television series concern in Europe, but that thanks to Rai International they are also present in the countries of the Mediterranean. Weinek or Vainek it is the actor veteran, Capparoni it is the new entry as well as one among the best actors that Italy possesses in these last years. Could you do me this favor? In change I will translate you some biography or geographical article in Italian, Spanish, French and Sicilian. Is it all right so this exchange? If yes, you proceed and I thank you in advance. Greetings from Campora San Giovanni, my village of origin--Lodewijk Vadacchino (talk) 09:22, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
