Do you have a source for your addition to the article? See WP:CITE. Mjroots (talk) 18:01, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Can you make that into a ref? use {{cite web}} if it's on a website. Mjroots (talk) 19:01, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
re:gaga
You are not adding sales, you are adding certifications which has nothing to do with sales. We don't get certifications based on sales. Record companies apply for it, then only they get it. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:02, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- That is correct, but record companies have to apply for it to get it certified. Hence a single selling 300,000 copies can be referenced, but it doesnot mean that it has been certified by BPI untill and unless it appears on their website (which is not possible now). --Legolas (talk2me) 09:14, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- Actually a major discussion has already been done in the Discography wikiproject page regarding what to include in the singles section and it has been decided that certifications are ok but sales will elongate it further. Hence its better that sales are properly formatted in single pages only. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:24, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- I would like to thank you for the wonderful job that you are doing tackling IP bad additions in the "Paparazzi (Lady Gaga song)" page. Cheers --Legolas (talk2me) 04:22, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- hey, no worries i do try and be helpful. i'm not a pain in the ass all of the time haha Mister sparky (talk) 15:37, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, when adding content to Wikipedia the burden is on you to prove it is acceptable content. The source you are adding clearly doesn't pass the requirements of WP:RS. However, instead of edit warring you should start a thread at the above noticeboard. — R2 13:20, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- hi sorry its just that i've seen that site used as a reference on other articles so just presumed it was fine. but i have started a thread so should hopefully get some other opinions and advice. thanks Mister sparky (talk) 13:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- That's ok. If they say it's OK, then I'm open to using it. — R2 13:58, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
re:avril lavigne discography.....again
Hi, here my toughts:
- 1. if the page is still a "work in progress" you should use a sandbox, or <!-- --> (which make the text invisible) and if you want to make big changes, please discuss first on talk page.
- 2. You're right on sales and certifications, all were unsourced, now I'll do some research to find some good source.
- 3. I don't think that there should be separates tables for singles, there are a lot of FA discographies with only one table and, anyway the "promotional appareances" section is really uneeded, these songs should be on "other charted songs". This should be discussed on talk page
- 4. the source used for Italy is a really reliable source, you can ask at WP:BADCHART if you want, and Italy is notable (7 singles in Top 10), also Austria is notable (all singles charted). Anyway we dont need to have exactly ten, but around ten, so eleven or twelwe are apcetable (a lot of FA discographies have more than ten country)
- 5. I agree for sources in the contibutions, but notes are uneeded. --♫Smanu! 17:06, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've seen it :) really good! I think it's good to put the link to the sandbox in the discussion for the article, so everybody can see it. Now I have to go, but tomorrow I can give you an hand with sources and all --♫Smanu! 17:50, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Warning IP vandals
I was just looking over your recent requests for page protection, and I noticed that you are reverting without issuing warnings. Usually the best solution is to block the disruptive IPs, rather than semi-protecting the page. It makes it difficult to issue blocks if the IPs have not been warned. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Plastikspork (talk) 21:25, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Italian charts
I noticed your edit to the Ne-Yo discography, and wanted to make sure you understand the situation. The FIMI Italian chart is perfectly good, as is the Italian chart at italiancharts.com. The only broken one is the one at acharts.us. For a discography article, I usually verify the positions with italiancharts.com instead of deleting the column.—Kww(talk) 22:53, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- oh i knew about italiancharts.com, it was by looking at that i noticed that ne-yo had only 2 chart entries there, thats why i removed italy. but thanks :) Mister sparky (talk) 23:44, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Noisettes discography
The article Noisettes discography has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The same information is present in the article about Noisettes, and the amount isn't too large to be kept there
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing
{{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kotiwalo (talk) 16:19, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I removed the prod myself, as there seems to be no reason why the content shouldn't be moved. Kotiwalo (talk) 16:21, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- hey, thanks for removing the prod. i have added an under construction tag so people realise it :) Mister sparky (talk) 16:25, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Smile
Hi. Really only writing because your user page made me smile. Got here because I was checking on your removal of all those reiterated titles over at the Donna Summer discography. I generally don't like removing information, but that redundancy was excessive, and I support your edit. Good luck! Abrazame (talk) 09:22, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Please note that if you submit a list to WP:FLC, you are expected to address the comments brought up there. There are several unresolved comments at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Lostprophets discography/archive4. Dabomb87 (talk) 16:13, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- sorry i have been busy lately, my apologies. have addressed some of the issues now. Mister sparky (talk) 17:54, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Prods
Hi. I notice that you have re-nominated 3 Lostprophets EPs for deletion by prod. Unfortunately as an anon IP previously contested the Prod request by removing the template, the articles cannot be re-nominated in this way. To delete them you must now use WP:AfD. Cheers, Nouse4aname (talk) 14:18, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Just to let you know I left comments over 24 hours ago which have not yet been responded to. ;) Dt128 SpeakToMe 12:03, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

I must congratulate you on the wonderful job that you are doing on the above article and the Lady Gaga related ones. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:01, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Madonna: Celebration
Hey, Mister Sparky. Just wanted to apologize for the constant addition for Maddy's "Celebration". Honestly, I was just trying to be helpful, but I'll hold off until, as you said, Madonna.com confirms. Again, I apologize. I meant well. And I'd also like to say that I appreciate the fact that you were very cool about the whole situation. I mean that. You were very calm, cool, and collected. So, I definitely thank you for that.
Anywho, just out of curiosity, are you a Madonna fan? Been a huge fan, myself, now, for the last ... 13 years. And I've been to see her in concert three times already. First time: THE RE-INVENTION TOUR. Second time: THE CONFESSIONS TOUR. Third time: THE STICKY & SWEET TOUR.
--KieferSuth1985Marx (talk) 14:04, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- hey, of course i'm a madge fan! :) altho i've only had the pleasure of seeing her once, for the sticky and sweeet tour in london. had planned to go to confessions and re-invention but money difficulties and job problems prevented that :( Mister sparky (talk) 14:22, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Have you joined The Madonna WikiProject? If not do so, we need good editors like you. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:02, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- hey, you alright? and no i havent. but i think i shall! and thanks :) Mister sparky (talk) 12:38, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Madonna albums
He he. I just saw your user page and came across your Madonna sandbox. I checked the albums part which you have separated and they look amazinfly organized. I went ahead and added them to the albums page. Wonderful job! Keep up. By the way a small humble request. Can you reply back to posts on indivitual talk page of mine? --Legolas (talk2me) 03:58, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- haha its cool, when i get really bored at night when i cant sleep i find something that needs some work and i sit and do it lol. and yes of course no probs :) Mister sparky (talk) 18:01, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
RE:Favour
I'll take a good look at it, but here's some pointers for now:
- Change "Albums" to "Studio albums", the "Album" column to "Album details", and increase the width of the "Title" column in the Other charted songs section to fit with the others.
- On that note, I'm not sure that there should be a "Other charted songs" section, as it is a discography, listing official releases only.
- None of the European Hot 100 refs work any more, use this and this instead.
- Try using the {{cite web}} template, it might make it easier.
- Macrovision publishes Allmusic.
- "Forever Is Over" shouldn't really be included until it has been released.
- number eleven --> number 11, number fourteen --> number 14 etc.
- I wouldn't use this for the platinum certification, its not a reliable music publication. Try using this instead (lists as gold). Dt128 SpeakToMe 17:24, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
- thanks for the suggestions! you noticed some really obvious silly things that i completely overlooked! :) Mister sparky (talk) 22:14, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Removal of PROD from Sweet 7
Hello Mister sparky, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Sweet 7 has been removed. It was removed by 90.208.236.86 with the following edit summary '(no edit summary)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with 90.208.236.86 before pursuing deletion further yourself. If you still think the article should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may want to send the article to AfD for community discussion. Hi
Hello, we've met briefly across a few articles. I was wondering, with your experience of music articles, if you would take a look at Tragic Kingdom. It's currently a featured article nominee and I need a few more comments over there. -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 00:19, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Can you point me at a reviewer that rejected chartstats.com? I've tried searching your contribution history, but came up dry.—Kww(talk) 01:11, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- hey, yea sure. i didn't want to mention any names in the discussion because i didn't want to be rude. it was Dabomb87. when i was doing the Lostprophets discography FLC he had problems with it but let it slide, i had a bit of a rant at him in the discussion for the Lily Allen discography about the reliability issue, which i know is the wrong place for such discussion, hence why i started the new one. Mister sparky (talk) 15:04, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
Re:Pink discography
Hi! Well, I'm not an expert on discographies, but I am a Pink fan! :) It looks very good, I see improvements. There is nothing really I can add, the sources are all reliable, none are in questions (as opposed to the Lily Allen discog FLC - hope I'll hear the end of that soon, but objections keep coming and coming). My only comment is that I don't know if references are needed in the lead. In the Lily Allen discog I put refs, but that was mostly because I also had biography info there. Here, it's only releases. I guess there is no problem with that. Good luck! --12345abcxyz20082009 (talk) 10:50, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hello! Did you see? Did you see?? Lily Allen discography is finally a FL!! Yaaayyy :) It was so exhausting, I'm so relieved it's finally over! I wish you an easier job with Pink, I learnt that the critics can drive you insane! Anyway, I gave my support :) --12345abcxyz20082009 (talk) 17:17, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

See here. Cheeers, Dabomb87 (talk) 01:48, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, can you notify relevant WikiProjects and primary contributors to the article as said in the FLRC instructions? Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 02:00, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
The Discography is as far as I can see feature quality. Just Wikilink "Most Girls" and "You Make Me Sick" in the lead and I'll support the nomination. Renominate the list.--Diaa abdelmoneim (talk) 16:40, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Apologies for not getting back to you before you re-nominated, but I've added just a few minor comments at the new FLC. Good work, --JD554 (talk) 07:15, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Removal of PROD from Bon Jovi Album Discography (Extended)
Hello Mister sparky, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD template you added to Bon Jovi Album Discography (Extended) has been removed. It was removed by Arkelweis with the following edit summary '(dePROD as no reason given; would probably be better to merge with discography anyway)'. Please consider discussing your concerns with Arkelweis before pursuing deletion further yourself. Can you check this out? I'm rather perplexed why this user is reverting my changes from this [1] to this [2]. Am I missing something here? - eo (talk) 12:32, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- heya, well everyone likes to do things differently. but i personally use, and see used on FL', your version. but taking a look at his edit summeries i'd suggest to him giving WP:OWN a read lol Mister sparky (talk) 12:43, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Pink discography
Hi,Dabomb87 mentioned at the the FLC that not all the directors were referenced. I've added the missing ones for "Feel Good Time" and "Nobody Knows", but I can't find a reliable source that mentions that "Last to Know" is a montage of clips from her tour. Do you perhaps know of one? --JD554 (talk) 07:11, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
George Michael discography
I don't think I've seen them personally, but weren't there videos made for "Faith", "A Different Corner", "One More Try", "Monkey", etc? Under the details part of the Twenty Five DVD, it says there were videos made for these songs and more. I'm not sure though. Ss112 04:50, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Ne-Yo discog
Hey Mister sparky. I closed the FLC as it had no support, two neutrals and one oppose. I realise it may be simple enough to resolve the outstanding problems - please feel free to re-nominate the list as soon as you like and let the reviewers know it's back in the running. Apologies for any disappointment I may have caused and thanks for your involvement in the process. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:49, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

User space articles
Hello I have removed categories from several of the discography pages that you have put in your user space. Please be aware that only articles in the main user spaces are to be in these categories (i.e. subcategories of Category:Discographies.) Please remember that if you copy and paste the contents of an article into your user space, you either delete the categories entirely, or insert a colon (:) at the beginning of the wikilink (e.g. [[:Category:Discographies]].) If you need me, please post on my talk. Thanks. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 10:07, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
Madonna albums discography
Hey Andy. How are you? I had to revert some of the changes you made to the above mentioned discography because:
- The Madonna album tables are the most elongated tables since they incorporate both certifications as well as valid sales. Hence its better to use a smaller font because remember, not everyone is watching the site with the same monitor resolution and any resolution less than 640x480 will completely break the table and the certifications. Hence a little small font will eradicate this problem and keep them as tables.
- The discography links to Hung Medien. It is perfectly acceptable to have the work parameter in the citations, because the original work is not by Hung Medien, but by those stated in the work parameter. We are just using Hung Medien as a discography list. Hence its necessary to redirect to the original opyright holders too.
- Another point (this is not regarding your edits) I feel that the article's LEAD needs to be extended considerably if we want this to go towards FLC later.
Thanks and great wotk on the FLCs. --Legolas (talk2me) 06:33, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

- I'm good and doing so much development of the Madonna articles. Im working on the Madonna singles discography in my Sandbox2, we still have a long way to go. Hope that the Madonna albums discography passes its FLC. By the way I have one favour to ask of you. Did you go to Madonna's Drowned World Tour by chance and took pics? If so will you please upload them in commons? Im in the process of developing Madonna's tour articles for GA/FA and already did so for the Confessions Tour and Re-Invention World Tour. Next stop is the Sticky & Sweet Tour. :) Hence jsut checking whether you have any free images that you took for the Drowned World Tour. --Legolas (talk2me) 03:32, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
