Speedy deletion nomination of Century Plyboards

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Century Plyboards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. SmartSE (talk) 09:39, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:CenturyPly logo.png

Thanks for uploading File:CenturyPly logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. G2003

Hello!

Do you have any relation with G2003? I am afraid that, if you are the same person that used that first account, telling that to community is probably a fair thing to do as creating an account after having another blocked is not exactly a clean start.

Regards.—Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 00:53, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Dear Teles, I do not have a relation with any account of such name. However may I ask in what regards you asked me this question? Mr RD 04:55, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Sure. An article you created is linked here, which is a portfolio that also points to an article created by G2003. I imagine that you are not sharing that portfolio and you are actually the same person.—Teles «Talk to me˱M @ C S˲» 21:41, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Lol. Page of PeoplePerHour was merely for a sample. I have no relation with PPH Wikipedia page. You can verify that there is no relationship between me and this 2003 editor through our edit history and patterns as well. Anyways thank you for informing me, I'll remove the wrong information in my profile soon. I forgot I is it still left there. Mr RD 05:04, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

RingMeMaybe (mobile application)

Dear Mr RD, the article RingMeMaybe (mobile application) was deleted after it was discovered that a large sock farm of paid editing was uncovered. Much how many of the articles were deleted under WP:TNT in the WP:Orangemoody case. I did notice on the talk page that you had made some edits to the article and properly disclosed your COI. If you would like me to restore the contents so that you may continue to work on the article, I would be willing to do so. I would likely personally add though that the article in its current state did not seemingly meet WP:NCORP or WP:GNG -- however had it not been under these circumstances, AFD would have been chosen (as was done with some of the articles). Conflict of interest in Wikipedia

Hi Mr RD. I work on conflict of interest issues in Wikipedia, along with my regular editing. I am just now getting to your COIN case. Thanks for opening that. Sorry it took me a while to get to it.

I have reviewed what is going on at the Raheja Developers article and reviewed your claim there, and taken action on that.

I am here, however, about your editing. There is a very long history of undisclosed paid editing and SOCKING on the Raheja Developers article. You are travelling in bad company, I am sorry to say.

Here is one of the key things I want to bring to your attention. Wikipedia's Terms of Use require that editors disclose their "employer, client, and affiliation" with respect to any paid contribution they make. On your user page, you provide a list of articles that you have edited, or are editing for pay. This is great - really it is! However, you have not disclosed your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to each of them.

Please add that disclosure to your User Page. If you do not understand what "employer, client, and affiliation" means, please ask. I also suggest that you do no more paid editing, until you have complied with the Terms of Use.

I am watching this page, and will see when you have done that.

The other thing I want to bring to your attention, is that you have also directly edited the Raheja Developers article, in violation of the very strong warning in the WP:COI guideline, that you should not directly edit articles, when you are editing for pay. These are edits that you should not have made. We can talk more about how the community strongly prefers that paid editors work here, after you have completed the disclosure.

Thanks again for opening the COIN case. Best regards, Jytdog (talk) 09:48, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

@Jytdog: I've already disclosed my client names on my talk page. You may find it in the brackets of every page mentioned. Please let me know if anything else is also required.
Regarding the Raheja Developers page edit, I stopped editing the page after Sitush told me so. While we are at it please have a look at the last edit of Leoaugust. I do not think it meets WP:NPOV. Mr RD 11:53, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for replying, Mr RD. What you have disclosed, is that you have been paid, and apparently, the payor (please note that based on what you disclosed there, for example, Missy B personally issued payment for her article, and that Karishma Rawtani - who is apparently a freelancer, personally issued payment to you - not any company they work for). Assuming that is true (and we should not have to assume), what is still undisclosed is your employer. Are you being paid directly by the client, or is there an employer or self-owned company between you, the editor, and the apparent payor? You have not disclosed the chain of payment and this is required by the Terms of Use. Please correct that. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 16:28, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Dear Jytdog, I'm a freelancer, therefore I'm directly paid by the client. In some cases, my client represent some bigger firms (like you've mentioned Karishma Rawtani). Please let me know what do I need to do in this case? Thanks Mr RD 16:34, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
You need to make it clear that you are a freelancer. You could change the header line from
"Here are the pages for which I received monetary benefits to write and/or edit along with the employer/client/affiliation (in brackets wherever information available)" (the last bit of that, is completely unacceptable by the way), to:
"Here are the pages for which I received monetary benefits to write and/or edit. I am a freelancer and am directly paid to edit. The person or entity that paid me is listed in parentheses after the name of each article."
If you aware that Karishma Rawtani was hired by some by some third party, please clarify that as follows {Karishma Rawtani, who had been hired by X) Jytdog (talk) 16:59, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
I've made the changes. Please see if it is alright now. I'll also add the information like you asked. Mr RD 17:05, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
The following message was left at my Talk page in this dif. I am pasting it here to keep the chain together. Jytdog (talk) 17:23, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Hey, I've made the changes to my user page as you recommended. Please let me know if anything else is needed too.
Meanwhile, can you please have a look at Raheja Developers? I'm not asking you to remove any negative content or anything like that. Just have a look if it is written in a neutral manner. From your discoveries as well, I believe you must be agreeing now that there are more than a few non-disclosed COI editor still active on the page. Please let me know how this page can be improved? Mr RD 17:19, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Before I engage with content that has been disrupted by apparent COI editing, I deal with the underlying COI issues. Mixing up content and conflicts at the same time, is very stupid. One thing at a time. I am dealing with conflicts now. Jytdog (talk) 17:30, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for making the chain more clear. OK now here is the hard part, and I want you to really think about this. On articles where you are being paid, you very clearly have an external interest that conflicts with your interests -- your committment -- to Wikipedia. Disclosing your COI does not release you from your obligation to try to follow NPOV, RS, etc. nor to follow the behavioral policies and guidelines as you pursue your paid work. For example your opening a case at COIN and then opening a case at ANI shortly thereafter is a classic example of forum shopping. I suggest you withdraw the ANI case. And some of your discussion at the talk page of the Raheja Developers was out of line with regard to the WP:TPG. WP:ADVOCACY is not OK in Wikipedia, and if you keep making one-sided arguments and behaving poorly, you will end up blocked. You cannot advocate for your client in Wikipedia. I hope that you understand that. Jytdog (talk) 18:27, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Sorry about being impatient. You may withdraw my request from ANI. My only intention was to let other editors know that there is still undisclosed WP:COI editing going over the page. I trust your judgement and now leave this case to you as I know you'll take appropriate action.
I always try to adhere to Wikipedia policies while editing the pages. However, in any case, if you feel i'm out of line, I'll welcome your criticism and feedback. My intention while editing Wikipedia is always trying to help out people who do not know how to edit Wikipedia and represent them fairly. While doing so, because of my disclosure most of the editors feel that I'm merely a puppet acting on behalf of others. Well i'm not. I do not put down what clients want on Wikipedia, but what is actually a fact backed by reliable sources. While saying so, I do understand and agree that despite my best efforts there may be some bias present in my edits. Mr RD 19:11, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
I cannot withdraw your ANI. Only you can. Otherwise, a third party will have to close it and that means other people have to waste their time on it. On the advocacy stuff, I have warned you about it, and you have said that you try to keep WP's policies and guidelines first and foremost. Please keep in mind that my comments were primarily directed to your behavior on Talk pages and the forum-shopping behavior, not to your suggestions for article content. If you want a helpful self-check list, you can from time to time review the descriptions here here to see if you are doing any them when you are working on paid editing jobs. In any case, good luck. Some further notes about COI management - peer review

In general the COI management process in WP has two steps. Disclosure, which I think we now have nailed down pretty well (with the addition of the template thing I just mentioned). The second step is peer review. This piece may seem a bit strange to you at first, but if you think about it, it will make sense. In Wikipedia, editors can immediately publish their work, with no intervening publisher or standard peer review -- you can just create an article, click save, and viola there is a new article, and you can go into any article, make changes, click save, and done. No intermediary - no publisher, no editors.

What we ask editors to do who have a COI and want to work on articles where their COI is relevant, is a) if you want to create an article relevant to a conflict of interest you have, create the article as a draft, disclose your COI on the Talk page using the appropriate template, and then submit the draft article through the WP:AFC process so it can be reviewed before it publishes; and b) And if you want to change content in any existing article on a topic where you have a COI, we ask you to propose content on the Talk page for others to review and implement before it goes live, instead of doing it directly yourself. You can make the edit request easily - and provide notice to the community of your request - by using the "edit request" function as described in the conflict of interest guideline.

By following those "peer review" processes, editors with a COI can contribute where they have a COI, and the integrity of WP can be protected. I hope that makes sense to you.

I want to add here that per the WP:COI guideline, if you want to directly update simple, uncontroversial facts (for example, correcting the facts about where the company has offices) you can do that directly in the article, without making an edit request on the Talk page. Just be sure to always cite a reliable source for the information you change, and make sure it is simple, factual, uncontroversial content.

Will you please agree to follow those two processes going forward?

I also urge you to refrain from working in the AfC process as a volunteer, moving articles from draft to main, until you get more experience here. In this dif you did that, and the article is really bad, and not ready for main space. DGG, one of our most experienced editors, promptly nominated it for deletion, and noted: "Essentially every reference here is a press release, and the article seems to be written as if it were advertising for the event. It is possible that the 2 articles in the Times of India show some borderline notability , but Lack of notability is not the only reason for deletion. Borderline notability combined with clear promotionalism is an equally good reason". Until you can see those sorts of problems, you would do everyone (including yourself) a favor if you refrained from working in the AfC process as a volunteer. Would you please agree to refrain from doing that at least for a while? Thanks.

I just want to underline that I am grateful that you are disclosing and trying to work as a good citizen. I am trying to help you, and to help the community at large. I do hope you can see that. Once you get all this stuff under your belt, and really understand the heart of the policies and guidelines, you should have pretty smooth sailing here. People can edit for pay, and be good members of the community. I really believe that. It is not easy, but it is possible. Jytdog (talk) 20:14, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Though I can not guarantee but I'll try to follow your advise regarding going through WP:AFC. In controversial cases, I'll strictly adhere to talk page edits only. Regarding the WP:AFC process, I've been associated with only WikiProject India. The page that was nominated for deletion is notable in India. However, I do agree that I was sloppy and considered the notability of the subject more than its writing style. I'll be more careful from next time onwards and will try my best not to disappoint you again. Again thank you for your time and patience. Mr RD 11:57, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
It was not just the writing style, the sources absolutely sucked - sources are the first thing that DGG mentioned. It should not have been allowed in mainspace. Mr RD - everything here starts with sources. When you go to build an article or some content, the first thing you need to do is find all the 'independent (please read that - it is relatively short) secondary reliable sources you can find that are actually on the subject (not just passing mentions). You look at them and see if there are enough to build an article (per WP:Golden rule) please read that if you haven't - it is very short). If there are, you read them, and you let them, and only them, guide what you actually write. If you follow that, the quality of what you write and what you review will dramatically improve. Please think about that. Jytdog (talk) 15:56, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
Sure I'll definitely read them carefully once again. Such mistakes will not happen on my part from next time. I'll try my level best. :) Mr RD 16:51, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
I am really grateful you are open to feedback this way. Good luck to you! Jytdog (talk) 17:27, 25 February 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Freddie Figgers

The article Freddie Figgers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no notability.

COI (paid) editor. primary sources. crap article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File permission problem with File:Harshit Saumitra in Sherwani.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Harshit Saumitra in Sherwani.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Peer review when you edit for pay

About this -- As we've discussed, when you edit for pay, please do not edit directly, but rather submit new articles through the WP:AFC process (with a disclosure on the Talk page of the new article, so reviewers are aware), and when you want to edit an existing article for pay, please offer a proposal on the relevant article's article's Talk page, with a disclosure that you have a COI. Dear onel5969, Shvetha Jaishankar is Miss India International 1998 and was second runner-up in that years' Miss International competition. How can she be not notable? Please let me know. Thank you, Mr RD 05:50, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Hi Mr. RD. Part of the AfC process is to not approve articles which have no chance of surviving at AfD. The consensus at AfD is that those types of pageants do not automatically confer notability. If you look at the non-winners of the Miss International pageant, for example, very few have their own articles, and those that do, it is because they went on to achieve notability through becoming (in most cases) an actress. While Miss Shvetha is certainly accomplished, founding a business and a charity, she does not rise to meet the criteria of notability. Take a look at WP:BIO, to see what notability requires. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 16:05, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
@User:onel5969, she is the winner of Miss India International. Is not that a notable award and meet WP:ANYBIO? Also if you look at Miss India International award, all the winners after 2000 has a Wikipedia page (I agree that most of them are actresses also but in 1998 internet was not what it is now in India and most offline articles are unavailable to me). Please have a look at other models like Priyadarshini Chatterjee and Andreína Llamozas who also happens to be only national beauty competition winner. Rest your decision will be final to me and I shall not make any further attempts to create this page. Please let me know. Regards, Mr RD 20:03, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
As I explained above, no its not. I will look at the others you point to, and if that's their only claim to notability, then they too will most likely be deleted. Sorry, but unless you can show more notability, I don't know what else to tell you. Onel5969 TT me 23:28, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Bioscale

I assume the now deleted article Bioscale, Inc. is also amongy our paid edits? DGG ( talk ) 01:32, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Dear DGG, yes Bioscale, Inc. was among my initial paid edits. I'm however not related to Gajendra Verma in any possible manner which might constitute WP:COI. Please let me know if you need anything else. Mr RD 19:02, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Nomination of Gajendra Verma for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Gajendra Verma is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gajendra Verma (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. DGG ( talk ) 06:00, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

I recognize that you are among the few conscientious paid editors, but I have doubts about the notability of a few of the subjects of your articles. I'll be checking the others, but almost all of them seem notable. It might help give a better impression if you did not call people philanthropists for minor charities in the thousand dollar range, and didn't include minor material just to build up the number of references. And, as always, watch out for adjectives of importance. DGG ( talk ) 01:23, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll keep them in mind. You're welcome to check others as well. Gajendra Verma is a notable singer of Bollywood. He has contributed in many of the notable movies in the past. I'm quite sure that his songs have also been in the Indian music charts but I do not have any references yet. I'll present my argument in the deletion discussion. Mr RD 19:07, 10 August 2016 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:16, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Internshala

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Internshala, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

DGG ( talk ) 07:44, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Mr RD,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review needs your help

Hi Mr RD,

As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).

Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.

Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.

It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

(Sent to all active AfC reviewers) MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 16:33, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

User group: New Page Reviewr

Hello Mr RD.

Based on the patrols you made of new pages during a qualifying period in 2016, your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed.

New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.

  • Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
  • Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)
