Notability of Malawi Washington Association
editThe article Malawi Washington Association has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:16, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Goodall Edward Gondwe, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.malawi.gov.mw/information1/CabinetProfiles/Goodall%20Gondwe.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:50, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Goodall Edward Gondwe
editA tag has been placed on Goodall Edward Gondwe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on African Students Association Truman State University requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. Concerning your edit to "History of Slavery
editIn these edits, you appear to have copied content from Atlantic slave trade to History of slavery, which is perfectly ok, but a couple pointers:
- You have to provide attribution when you do this, or else others will assume that you are the original author. It can be as simple as saying in your edit summary "copied information from "Atlantic slave trade".
- It is more effective to copy from Atlantic slave trade's edit window; this preserves sources and formatting.
- Please read WP:COPYWITHIN for more on copying and pasting within Wikipedia.
- It is often helpful to use the {{Main}} or {{See also}}template to create a link to the article. E.g.:
Thank you,
The article Geoffrey Du Mhango has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- References in this article do not help establish WP:GNG, as they are directory listings. Could not find additional sources to help establish notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Akerans (talk) 16:07, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Atlantic slave trade
editHi MsTingaK! It's Joren again... just wanted to drop a note and say thanks for editing the Atlantic slave trade article. Unfortunately, on one of your edits, it looks like you copied it from the article view, which made the sources disappear: [1]. It's an easy mistake to make, don't worry, I fixed it :-) but here's what you gotta do when you're moving stuff within an article. Make sure you cut and paste it from within the article's editing view, not the reading view. If you copy from within the edit view, that will stop it from removing the sources, formatting, links, etc. Anyway, thanks for your edits and I hope you're enjoying being a part of Wikipedia,
Speedy deletion nomination of Real Elements
editA tag has been placed on Real Elements requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hi, thanks for the article you have created on Catherine Chipembere, who is a friend I have known for about 20 years in Pasadena, where she lived before going back to Malawi. She is a most inspiring lady, and I hope someone will make a tape recording of her memories of the old days, to become a published part of Malawi's history someday. She deserves a prominent place as a heroine in the founding history of modern Malawi, and of Africa, in my opinion.
I have a beautiful picture of her with Henry, taken on their wedding day, that was published last year in Harvard Magazine. I would post it in both articles if I knew the permissions were OK, but I don't. Perhaps you can help me find out about this?
I hope this welcome template helps you with your future editing. I'm no expert, but let me know if you need assistance.
All the best,
Bill Wheaton
- Hi again, I got your message on my talk page. We are all beginners here (because Wikipedia is huge), so there is much I do not know, but I've been editing now for three years (mostly astronomy, space, & physics) so I have a little practical experience. I taught in a school for refugees in Der es Salaam in 1962-1963, which is where I got my special interest in Africa, though I returned home before Henry and Catherine arrived there. I am in touch with some of Catherine's family here in SoCal, but have not seen her in three or four years. Is she in Malawi now, do you know? I assume she is still in Mangoche working on WIN? And where are you? I wrote a guy at Harvard a year ago re permissions for that picture, but never received an answer, so far at least. Anyhow, thanks again and be assured of my interest, support, and willingness to assist if I can. I think your desire to improve the history of women's contributions to Malawi is wonderful, and long overdue: good for you! Have you read Greg Mortenson's two books on building schools for girls in central Asia? He grew up near Arusha, I think. I recommend them highly as they are very inspiring, and probably have some relevance to Africa or any place (ie, almost everywhere) women are marginalized. All the best, Wwheaton (talk) 18:58, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Origin of AIDS. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. I think you may find your edits are better-received if you explain them in the edit summary, as the above-cited guidance suggests Scray (talk) 03:48, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

My editing: 80 new articles versus a few Deletion Notifications
editHi, I didnt get any feed back on that page, I will take a look at it. I am not sure what you mean about "following advice" etc... Most of the articles on my talk page that were nominated for deletion are STILL on Facebook. Part of the problem is that people come to see this talk page and they see a few requests and they think all I create are deletable article. I have created over 80 new articles over 2 years that are still on FB, so I am not sure what you mean about "heading warnings" unless you tell me something specific since each case/article was nominated for different reasons. Also some of the 'deletion' nominations are a matter of cultural relevance. So I have people doing things like saying a particular group or person is not notable b/c they were not notable in the western countries or because they are not on international charts... etc...so its not always just about what I did, its also about reporting about countries that dont have all their information online. I will try and improve the article. thanks--MsTingaK (talk) 12:54, 1 October 2011 (UTC) thanks--MsTingaK (talk) 12:52, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Copyright violations
editHi MsTingaK. I just came across this edit of yours to potato back in December. Whilst I am glad that you were helping to counter Wikipedia's systemic bias against Africa, the entire content was copied from a copyrighted source. We take copyright infringement very seriously (as the earlier notices left here demonstrate). I have not checked your contributions in depth yet, but I noticed that there were similar problems with the article you most recently created (Anne Van Zyl) where the entire article had been copy and pasted (with a few minor changes) from the references. As a result I have deleted it per WP:CSD#G12 as a blatant copyright infringement. I've also noticed smaller problems in other articles that you have written. It would be very helpful if you were to revisit articles that you have written and rewrite them so that they are no longer copyright violations. If you are not willing to do this yourself I will have to open an investigation into your edits to get assistance from others to clean up your articles. Due to the serious nature of copyright infringement, I should also warn you that if I find that future contributions contain copyrighted information, I will have no option but to permanently block your account. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this. Thank you SmartSE (talk) 11:41, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Copyright
editI think Im a little confused...I did not copy the "entire content from the page", for potaoes... that article is a whole page, and deals with different regions.. my edits were a few lines and were paraphrased, and then sourced. Okay, so I think as far as I understand from copyright laws, things need to be sourced or need to be sourced. If the article is sourced and its put in your own words but is still sourced, it should not be a copyright infringement right? For the Ann Van Zyl article , it came from three sources, one of them was a biographical page in chronological order - so it may look like a simple cut and paste with minor changes... It was sourced as well, but it wasnt from copy and paste , if I just 'copied and pasted' the whole article... I would have just put quotes around it and called it a day....but when it come to chronology its hard to rewrite the order of historical events, again it was all sourced... -- When you are referring to earlier notices about infringement I think you are referring to the ONE from August 2010 - there is only one of them on this page, and this is b/c i took a section from wiki and included it on to another wiki page to combine an article and didnt know we had to source content from another wiki page about the same topic. Please can you be specific with the examples so I understand and also with the the ones you want me to check.. The Ann van Zyl one was deleted so I cant go back to compare that to the original. If you do not have time to go in depth, then maybe the investigation would be quicker, otherwise, I will need more details then you copied an pasted the entire article which I know i didnt, please advise thanks... --MsTingaK (talk) 02:18, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, what I meant is that everything you added to potato was found in the source - obviously you didn't copy the whole of the source into the article. For example, the source says:
Potatoes also entered Africa with Belgian, British, French, and German colonists, who consumed them as a vegetable rather than as a staple starch
and you added:
It is believed that Potatoes also entered Africa with colonists, who consumed them as a vegetable rather than as a staple starch
which is clearly copied directly. Similarly
upper reaches of Rwanda (Scott 1988), potatoes took root as a new staple food crop and contributed to subsistence, surplus, and population expansion
and
In the upper reaches of Rwanda, potatoes took root as a new staple food crop and contributed to subsistence, surplus, and population expansion
etcetera. It looks to me as if you must have copy and pasted, rather than paraphrased it. The simplest way to avoid doing this in the future is to never copy and paste from a source, even if you intend to reword it to not be an infringement. Regarding Anne Van Zyl I've double checked and here are some more examples of problems:
her leadership role in Pretoria Girls’ High, the first white state school in the then Northern Transvaal (now Gauteng) to open its doors to all races.
you wrote:
She led Pretoria High School for Girls as the first segregated white state school in the then Northern Transvaal (now Gauteng) to open its doors to all races
and from another source
She joined the staff of Pretoria High School for Girls as a teacher of English and was later promoted to Head of Department and then Deputy Head. In 1988 she became Principal
She joined the staff of Pretoria High School for Girls (PHSG) as an English teacher and was later promoted to Head of Department and then Deputy Head. In 1988 she became Principal of the school
Everything that I have checked in that article was like this, which is why I deleted it immediately. I will email you a copy so you can check this over for yourself. It looks as if you may also need to read up on close paraphrasing as it may be that you thought that the very slight changes you made from the sources meant that you were not violating copyright. I have looked over some more of your articles and this isn't a problem with them all but there may be problems out there. I don't have time at the moment to go through them all, but if you can remember any from this list where you might have written them in a similar way to the potato section and Van Zyl article, please go back and correct them as necessary. Drop me another note if anything is unclear. Thanks SmartSE (talk) 13:31, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
The article Malawian Diaspora has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sparthorse (talk) 18:59, 14 November 2011 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Malawian Defence Force
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Malawian Defence Force. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Military of Malawi. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Military of Malawi - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Sleddog116 (talk) 19:09, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Removing Speedy at Malawian Defence Force
editHi MsTingaK, you recently removed a deletion tag from Malawian Defence Force. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove speedy deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the tag. Although the deletion proposal may be incorrect, removing the tag is not the correct way for you to contest the deletion, even if you are more experienced than the nominator. Instead, please use the talk page to explain why the page should not be deleted. Remember to be patient, there is no harm in waiting for another experienced user to review the deletion and judge what the right course of action is. As you are involved, and therefore potentially biased, you should refrain from doing this yourself. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:24, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Malawian Defence Force. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:27, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of George Ondiek
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on George Ondiek requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Speedy deletion nomination of David Chiwanga
editHello MsTingaK,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged David Chiwanga for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Grammarxxx (What'd I do this time?) 01:55, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

Please be more careful with your Categories!
editGreetings, I've run across several articles now where you've improperly applied WP:Categories. Please be aware of the following, taking for example the case of Malawi-Rwanda relations:
- Category:Foreign relations of Malawi - Correct
- Category:Foreign relations of Rwanda - Correct
- Category:Malawi - Incorrect, this is way too vague of a cat; only the absolutely most general articles about Malawi would go there, like the article about the whole country itself.
- Category:Rwanda - Incorrect, see above.
- Category:Malawi–Rwanda relations - Incorrect, category does not yet exist. Do not add categories unless they exist, or you are right at that moment creating them. You should only create such a category if there are, say, five or more articles that would belong in this category at the moment.
In addition, note that at Malawi-Rwanda relations you have no provided the bolded terms in the lede (see WP:Lede), and you have no provided any WP:Sourcing at all. Please correct such issues in your recent articles, and bear them in mind moving forward. MatthewVanitas (talk) 21:26, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

WikiIndaba and Wikipedian in Residence Notice
editDear MsTingaK
As a Wikipedian interested in African subjects and specifically Malawi, I would like you to be aware of the following two opportunities:
1. Wikimedia South Africa and WikiAfrica are organising an WikiIndaba for February 2014 – a continental meeting for Africa-based Wikipedians to get together, discuss challenges and drive the agenda for Wikipedia from Africa. If you support this initiative, then please sign up on this site: http://wikiindaba.net – we also want to hear what you want the Wiki Indaba to achieve. What are your expectations? What does it need to include? Who and what do you want to see happen at WikiIndaba? What is your area of interest? Languages? Data? Please share your ideas and thoughts on the Community Portal
2. WikiAfrica is looking for a Wikipedian in Residence from Malawi. This might be a position that you would consider. Or it could be the perfect opportunity for someone you know from Malawi, please spread the word! For more details, please look at this page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/wikipedian-in-residence-malawi

Replaceable fair use File:Safiel Percy Kachipande.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Safiel Percy Kachipande.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —howcheng {chat} 00:53, 3 March 2014 (UTC)
The article Consultancy Africa Intelligence has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Examination of online sources suggests that this organization fails to meet WP:CORP criteria for inclusion. No significant coverage although it has numerous trivial mentions.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:06, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon
editHi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing, whether it's a river in Malawi, a Nigerian footballer, or a South African civil rights activist, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. For those of you who signed up to the North African contest, that will hopefully be held in the new year. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:11, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

The article Willard Gomani V has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Jmertel23 (talk) 18:36, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Malawian anthropologists
editA tag has been placed on Category:Malawian anthropologists requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Talk! 00:31, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Malawian geographers
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Malawian geographers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -KAP03 (Talk • Contributions • Email) 15:40, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

editHello - thanks for creating the article on Ezikiel Kalipeni. I've done a little bit of copy-editing on it. I think it would be good if you could add a little bit more information about the work that he did. I came across a couple of reviews of his work which might be useful.[1][2][3][4]

editMartha Chikuni moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Martha Chikuni, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

The article Roser Caminals-Heath has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not appear to have any significant coverage as an author (fails WP:NAUTHOR) or meet the requirements for an academic (fails WP:NPROF)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Reviewing new article: Disability in Kenya
editHello @MsTingaK!
I am a fellow wikipedian and I recently published a new article called Disability in Kenya, because I thought it was primordial to provide knowledge on disabilities in this specific country. This country's norms, perceptions, myths, and policies around persons with disabilities are unique, and as I am particularly close to Kenya, I think this article is valuabe.
But since I am quite new to Wikipedia, I wanted to know if I could get your feedback on this article. I see that you are a member of WikiProject Africa and that you have been a wikipedian for a long time, so I thought you were the wikipedian to reach out to!
Thank you in advance!
