Its the same way from two years, infact with more spices. Now that the facts are bitter, everyone's talking the "encyclopedia style". If it's ok for two years, hope its ok even now. If exaggeration of positives in accepted why can't mentioning of negatives be accepted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hunkinghunk (talk • contribs) 00:51, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

File:Arindamchaudhuris.jpg
Just to let you know, I deleted it, but not for the reason given - it was not from www.dnaindia.com - that picture was smaller, and when compared in Photoshop at 500%, it was very inferior resolution. The clue was in the summary "IIPM Press and media department" - so a Google Image search for 'Arindam Chaudhuri site:www.iipm.edu' found it at http://iipm.edu/images_new/2010/arindam-chaudhuri-society-magazine.jpg at a better quality than the Wikipedia one (i.e probably the original). Bangladeshi Political Families Edit
Someone has arbitrarily listed war criminals who are currently being tried by the Government of Bangladesh on the list of Bangladeshi political families. Also, the family that was listed is not considered as one of the top ten political families of Bangladesh. The poster continues to list war criminals on this page to reduce the information value of this thread and for that reason that list had to be eliminated. Please checkout authorized sources to verify that the list that was deleted consistes of those convicted of war crimes in Bangladesh. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.208.194.118 (talk) 12:48, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- Here is the reliable source that documents the war criminal who was listed in the Bangladeshi Political Families list. Please checkout for details and remove that family from the list. We do not want to see Bangladeshi war criminals on the list of Bangladeshi political families. There can be a separate list for them. Thanks. Here is the link:

- While it is tolerable, the placement of the family with the Prime ministers and our Presidents families is not. Please list it further down, after the top ten, since none in that family was a Prime Minister or President. Also add Zia family on the list was also deleted by the same poster, the family that produced a former president and 2 times elected Prime Minster, Khaleda Zia. Please see the history from October 2010 and restore it. Furthermore, I will not agree to this if Zia family's listing is not restored and this controversial Chowdhury family of war criminals is not placed after the top ten families. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.208.194.118 (talk) 13:09, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:NBA protest.JPG
Thank you for uploading File:NBA protest.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof (talk) 09:30, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Bommarillu
I have nominated Bommarillu for a reassessment. I believe you were the main contributor, correct? The reasons are here. There are a couple others that I believe are in a similar condition: Anand (2004 film) and maybe Unnale Unnale, but I will wait to see how this progresses first. Replaceable fair use File:Sekhar kammula.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Sekhar kammula.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 19:36, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

I saw that one of a prominent member of Indian cinema workgroup. As per Wikipedia:Peer review/Ahalya/archive1, I wanted to include titles of some film about Ahalya like "Sati Ahalya" or "Ahalya". Do you know any RS websites that may have this info (saw some sites, but dont know if they are RS) or have any directory on Indian cinema that includes this info. --Redtigerxyz Talk 16:48, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Going Great
Hi Praveen, I just came across your great job done at Rang De Basanti and Lagaan and wish you keep doing your best in future. However, a little curious to know if you have 3 Idiots in your mind to make it a GA or FA. Do you believe the film deserves to be among the one being the highest grossing bollywood film ever. Nevertheless, just wanna tell you that your efforts are commendable and you are simply Going Great !! Have a good day --Msrag (talk) 05:27, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Rang De Basanti
Hi. Awesome work you do on Indian film articles and your efforts are commendable. Looking at multiple GA's from a single user is not something which happens everyday. Recently, I came across an article Rang De Basanti which is in A class. Is there any scope for making it an FA? The article seems to be having solid content and the presentation looks perfect. I see no major barrier for that status. So, thought I'd ask you. Thanks. X.One SOS 11:14, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Main Page appearance
Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of the List of international cricket centuries by Sachin Tendulkar know that it will be appearing as the main page featured list on March 19, 2012. You can view the TFL blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured list/March 19, 2012. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured list directors The Rambling Man (talk · contribs), Dabomb87 (talk · contribs) or Giants2008 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured list. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! Tbhotch.™ Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 21:00, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar (pictured) has scored 100 centuries in international cricket matches, a world record. His 100th century came on 16 March 2012 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Bangladesh. He has scored 51 centuries in Tests and 49 in One Day International (ODI) matches; both are world records for highest number of centuries by a batsman. In Test matches, Tendulkar has scored centuries against all the Test cricket playing nations, and is the second batsman to score 150 against all of them. He also holds the record for the number of scores above 150, a figure he has reached on 20 occasions. His first Test century was achieved against England in 1990, where he scored 119 not out. His highest score is an unbeaten 248, against Bangladesh in 2004. In ODIs, Tendulkar has scored centuries against all of the cricketing nations that have permanent One Day International status. He is also the first batsman to have scored 200 in an ODI.

DYK for Garima Chaudhary
On 18 August 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Garima Chaudhary, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Garima Chaudhary represented India as the country's sole judoka at the 2012 Olympics? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Garima Chaudhary. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000.
