Nice 3rd Opinion
Hi ONUnicorn! I want to thank you for writing the great third opinion at Talk:Charun. Reading all of that stuff is something in itself, nevermind doing what you did! See you around. —Mets501 (talk) 21:23, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. ST47 20:19, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- (posted to ST47's talk page) Sorry. I usually do subst the templates. I must have just forgot that time. ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 20:22, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
So where does it end?
I don't want to break the 3RR rule, but Igor on PocketPC is not giving up. Where does it go from here? Timeshift 23:45, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Cheers for that. You've now given Igor the impression he has correct evidence when he does not, and has begun to start adding his nonsense again. Again, cheers. Timeshift 16:09, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- We have. In great length. We have exhausted all forms of communication as far as I can see. I have repeated myself many times and find myself getting nowhere. I am at a loss for what else to say to him. I can barely get an understandable response out of him as it is. Timeshift 16:17, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Perhaps read his last contribution to the discussion page. How am I supposed to reason with that? Whatever he's on, I want some... Timeshift 04:41, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

I see you are quite an active editor. I have been discussing with another editor whether or not my company qualifies under WP:CORP We feel that it does under the first point. The other editor keeps bringing up things that are not in the rules outlined under WP:CORP Please comment on this discussion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Enigma_software_group
thank you,

You have more experience than I in these matters: doesn't it seem that the protection on this page is dragging on unusually long? Since Glengordon01 is unwilling to locate more references and seems unwilling to accept mediation from anyone other than an Etruscan mythology expert, there's no realistic end in sight. If it matters, I do have a degree in history from an Ivy League university so I'm reasonably competent at evaluating a citation's pertinence. Although neither party is blameless on that page, I'm contemplating opening a user conduct RfC on Glengordon01. Most of the aggression appears to be on his side and all of the encyclopedic scholarship is on the other side. What are your thoughts? Durova 17:59, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I have more experience than you. But it does seem to me like this is a dispute that will never be settled. Glengordon seems completely unwilling to budge, listen to reason, cooperate, or anything else. I was thinking of opening an RFC myself a few weeks ago, but decided to wait to see if another attempt to resolve the dispute would be made by someone else. Now that it has, I would think an RFC would be the best route to go. (Posted to Durova's talk page as well) ~ ONUnicorn (Talk / Contribs) 18:20, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've opened the RfC. We need two people in order to certify it. Would you like to be the other one? I think this has a better chance of succeeding if neutral third parties open the request rather than Scottandrewhutchins. Thanks for your help. Pocket PC
I'm sorry that you waste your time in what is a worthless discussion, since those would be well known facts. Even when you can't definitely make up your mind and the other person insists in his absurd position.--Igor Sotelo 04:17, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hi ONUnicorn - refer to PocketPC discussion, Igor is no longer prepared to debate the issue. Where to from here? Timeshift 02:45, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Please check your e-mail.--Igor Sotelo 03:49, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
ONUnicorn, I note there have been no updates to this article. Should I PROD it again, or AfD it? I've added a few tags in the hope someone else could rescue it. We'll see. In addition, I've review the home website for this article, it looks like advertisement. Are you sure this is a notable organization? If so, some press articles would help. meatclerk 18:00, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick response. I've made a note to check on it in about 30 days. If you still don't get a response I will PROD it then. thanks again. meatclerk 18:31, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
Just to clarify, is the latest addition to the talk page by you an attempt to open up discussion for more opinions from others? We've already been there, done that. I'm in full support of what you've done, I just don't think it will go anywhere considering nobody else commented on the discussion page up until that point. We'll see how it goes though. Also, it's not just what he wrote, but how he wrote it. Example, "Even Palm sells blah blah blah". But yes, we'll see how it pans out. Timeshift 17:39, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Deletion of Pros and Cons of the Euro. Thanks for the links and explanations
I went to the discussion page. Editors fleshed out their rational really well. And, I agree that in the end deleting made more sense than merging. I had not studied the thoroughness of the Euro article before answering the Wikipedia:Requested article. Moving forward, I'll conduct more due diligence upfront before I answer a Wikipedia:Requested article. Otherwise, it can be a real trap for wasting time. This is nobody's fault. That's life.
Thanks for your assistance. Sympa 22:10, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

One Piece
If you are interested, I can give you some links to the manga of One Piece, and groups that fansub the anime. But whatever you do, dont watch the english version of the anime! And the enlish manga doesn't do the best job of conveying Oda's message either. 00:55, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for giving me a review in my editorial review. Thank you even more for the suggestions you gave me. I hope I will live up to your expectations... •Sean•gorter•(Talk) 14:14, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

David States
Did you add the notability flag on the David States page? I believe as a full professor at the University of Michigan as well as a highly cited author that this page qualifies as notable under several of the wikipedia guidelines.
David —Preceding unsigned comment added by Djstates (talk • contribs)
- I added links to the UM departmental faculty listing, Dr. States' publications indexed at the National Library of Medicine and links to BLAST and CHARMM which are programs Dr. States co-authored and have been deemed to merit Wikipedia pages of their own.

I don't mind at all. I suppose I nip at the newbies more than your average Wikipedian, and it's good to have other people around who'll keep my less-patient moments in check. Thanks for catching that. Consequentially 04:29, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Ah, okay, didn't realize you were fixing the article. Certainly doesn't meet CSD A7 now. :) I wouldn't worry about the lost revision here; it was really just a link to another website. Mangojuicetalk 14:03, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
I was wondering why?
you didn't include "they're" along with "there" and "their" on your User Page? Not that important, but . . . ......... Carptrash 16:12, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

- well these grades are mine, but you, with your good, fast work, are starting at an A+. Which, as we know, means that there's only one way to go. Carptrash 19:31, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: User you blocked yesterday is vandalising again.
Thanks for the heads up. A couple of those pages are on my watchlist, so I saw them already (and the problem edits were already reverted when I looked). He's reblocked, and this time I'm leaving a note on WP:AN/I to alert other admins of his behavior. Slambo (Speak) 17:36, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
