Alle ist guy. Nothing to worry about with your account. The matter is closed and we all learned some very valuable lessons. Looking forward to more of your valued contributions to this site. Best. -OberRanks (talk) 21:50, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Silent Hunter III, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Church. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hitler Stalingrad Speech

Hi there. Just reviewed your piece. It is a good addition to a neglected area. I have flagged up a few issues which can be addressed.
  • Needs more inline citations. Especially the text of the speech needs to be cited.
  • The section in the intro asserting that this is the only speech apart from the Mannheim one with H speaking in his "normal" voice. We need a cite for that, otherwise it looks like WP:OR
  • More sections. A Reactions section would be good, if you can gather material, recounting the speechs' impact domestically and abroad.

Hope this is of some help. Cheers Irondome (talk) 18:06, 8 February 2015 (UTC)

Emil Maurice

Do you have a date, with a cite, as to when exactly Maurice was "fired" as Hitler's chauffeur? I have read several different dates (now I have to remember where) and others don't say exactly. Kierzek (talk) 14:50, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Conrad Roberts

The article Conrad Roberts has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced.   Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sturmabteilung may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

The name change discussioon was getting to be quite confusing as to who supported what, so I revamped the format and I'm asking all editors who already voted to return and recast their votes under the new format. [1] Thanks, BMK (talk) 12:08, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

Heydrich

Hi there OberRanks. I see you have added some content to the Heydrich article. Could you please take a minute to go back and add page numbers to your sources? Also the book 'Karl Hermann Frank. Staatsminister im Protektorat' is missing the publication year. I'll format the new citations to match the existing style and copy edit the new material once you've finished. Thank you, -- Diannaa (talk) 15:36, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

I just came here to ask the same; OberRanks could you please add the cite page numbers. Thanks, Kierzek (talk) 15:58, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
The Karl Hermann Frank book is a french translation and did not a publication year. I *think* it is 2000 but I am not sure. Any suggestions to find out? No problem on page numbers on the other ones, will dig the books out. The book on Herbert Kappler I no longer own, but will do some research...hope you liked the new material! -O.R.Comms 17:01, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
Here's a handy link: WorldCat. You can search by title, author, ISBN, etc. The ISBN 3875880714 matches the 1971 edition so let's go with that. -- Diannaa (talk) 17:18, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
Everybody stay off the article for a bit please, I will do the cites first and then some copy edits. -- Diannaa (talk) 17:21, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
  • Scarlet Pimpernel of the Vatican: I assume you've got the version issued by Fontana (London) in 1969?
  • Karl Hermann Frank. Staatsminister im Protektorat: Still needs a page number.
  • Copy edits are ready to be checked. -- Diannaa (talk) 18:10, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Untergruppenführer

What do you think of the placement of Untergruppenführer on the Template:Nazi Germany paramilitary ranks. I put it there as the rank of Gauführer ceased to exist in 1929 when the SS-Gaus were re-consolidated into new SS units known as SS-Oberführerbereiche, each commanded by an SS-Oberführer. And you posted that the Untergruppenführer was a intermediary position between the ranks of SA-Oberführer and SA-Gruppenführer. Kierzek (talk) 17:45, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

That seems like a very good place for it, yes. I hate to say that this happened on Wikipedia, but the discovery of that rank is very significant and we just made history. No one else has ever published information about that rank before and I came across it completely by chance looking at early SS paperwork from the late 1920s. Pretty cool! -O.R.Comms 19:05, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

File source problem with File:NavyCAS.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:NavyCAS.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User Right Question

Given the amount of work you do on military rank related articles, would be interested in obtaining permission to use the rollback tool? I'd be happy to grant that user right to you if it is something you could make use of. TomStar81 (Talk) 01:48, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

I don't know that much about it, but would be happy to help keep the articles looking good. I can read up on a policy page, if we have one, and then accept the user rights. Thank you for the offer! -O.R.Comms 17:23, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
I have that right and what it allows is for you to revert a prior edit (vandalism or offensive one), with one click. The user right should only be used when called for and not when just undoing a prior (good faith) edit. Kierzek (talk) 18:14, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Alright, I've updated your user rights to include the rollback tool. You can read up on it at WP:ROLLBACK, and if you have any question you are welcome to ask me and I will do my best to answer. Enjoy! TomStar81 (Talk) 01:55, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Sounds great! Thank you! -O.R.Comms 13:15, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Reichsführer-SS (film)

The article Reichsführer-SS (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable film, no independent reliable coverage, per WP:NF

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
