Scouting WP

Further, I am impressed by your Scouting record and your writing. It is good, you just have to learn what is appropriate, and where. Please read WP:OWN, and try not to be so possessive of your writing. I have been here five years, was one of the founders of the Scouting WikiProject, and was going to Philmont before you were born. I made a lot of mistakes when I started here, still do. You've been here a while already. When someone else undoes or changes what you wrote, ask yourself what the Scouting thing to do is. Is it them, or is it you? You'll do well, we need you, just trust that other regular editors know what we're doing. Hi Owen, re: Nikumaroro Island edit on Amelia Earhart Your edit following: "In 2010 a group of aviation enthusiasts from Delaware, part of the International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery, found bone fragments on Nikumaroro Island that may be the remains of Amelia Earhart. Skeletal remains had previously been found on the island in 1940, but an original analysis predicted that the bones were from a man. Other evidence of non-Pacific Islander habitation was also found. In 1998, the doctor's notes were re-discovered and doctors believed the original prediction to be erroneous, instead concurring that the bones belonged to a woman of Earhart's height. Shortly after Earhart's disappearance there was evidence of habitation by an air/sea survivor noticeable on Nikumaroro Island, but there was no further investigation because the island had been crossed off the search list." However, bear in mind that follow-up new stories have put a new light on the prospects of the find being evenly remotely connected to Amelia Earhart. One AP story today relates that forensic examination is not started and that the bones may have no human origin. Turtle bones are being suggested, however the TIGHAR press releases continue unabated. The whole "woman's height", "evidence of habitation" statements are wholesale hyperbole and supposition based on interpretation of decades old data. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 16:26, 18 December 2010 (UTC).
