"Happier Than Ever"
Congrats on the recent FA promotion! I was wondering if you may want to make "Happier Than Ever" the next one. I've kind of run out of projects for now and I see this article not being an FA as unfinished work I should probably help complete before I retire shortly.--NØ 02:19, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- Revert back soon if you would like to be listed as a co-nominator and help with the nomination statement. Now that you're active, I'm going to take no response in the next 24 hours as a no. Regards.--NØ 16:13, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, @MaranoFan! Meanwhile I wish you luck on your current FAC for "Can I Get It" Unfortunately I don't have time at the moment to do any expansions on this particular article, but I will be willing to help with addressing replies in the nomination once that goes through. UtherSRG (talk) 16:47, 16 February 2023 (UTC)House of Ashes GA
Hi, I noticed a while back that you planned on getting House of Ashes to GA status. You did a great job expanding it and if you still plan on working on it, I can help if you want. I'm hoping to get all of the Dark Pictures games, plus the series' main article (which I've recently started expanding in a userpage) nominated for GAs in the coming weeks/months. -- Zoo (talk) 20:35, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: Hello! Thank you for the message.
- I am glad you picked up the HoA article a year after I had left it. I sadly had to abandon the GA endeavour a while back beause I got super burned out with researching good sources for the article---apart from the fact I found another niche in editing Wikipedia, which is pop music---nevertheless, the fact someone else not only took the opportunity to improve upon what I left but also express desire in collaborating means a lot!
- Overhauling for that article began at a time when I was still super new to this site, so there might be some iffy issues with prose, WP:DUE, sourcing, image use, etc... I heavily recommend focusing on the DUE and image issues specifically. When I take a gander at the article sometime this week, we can discuss further on what we can improve. Do ping me on the talk page with your thoughts on how the current HoA page stands!
- All that to say, I'm good with working with you on this. While I wait on the results of my music-related GAs, let's finish this long-abandoned goal together :) Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 00:03, 17 March 2023 (UTC)- I'm currently doing some CE work on the article, and to be honest from what I've gone through so far, it's in mostly good shape. I think after a full pass through by me (and you later this week), the only real issue in terms of info needed still is the reception section. Although it can probably be furthur expanded using just the current reviews. Everything else just needs touched up a bit and I think it'll be ready for a GAN. And obviously it can still be cleaned up after the nomination. Overall you did a great job on the article and I think it'll be an easy GA review for whoever does it.
- I didn't get into the anthology until this summer and that's when I realized most of the articles weren't in the best shape and I've been meaning to get around to working on them. I've just been busy with MCU articles since that's my main wiki focus. It was a pleasant surprise to see how much better off the HoA article was already. I've started work on the main page for the series and I think a chunk of the refs I've found will be good for the game articles as well so hopefully it'll cut down the research time for the other games, although I think the refs are useless of HoA as most of the info is already covered. -- Zoo (talk) 00:38, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info on the HoA talk page. Figured I'd respond here to avoid violating WP:NOTFORUM.
- I think I've come to realize that my issue with writing reception sections is I get bored quickly with them and my attention is easily changed to something else instead. I don't mind copyediting them and I think the difference is with other sections I tend to learn or expand on things so it keeps my attention better. I caught myself already focusing on a different project (working on a GT or FT) instead of going back to work on the review section. I still think HoA will be the first game in the series to be a GA, and hopefully a FA, and overall I think the series could become a FT. Not sure how things would go with the new VR game though. That'll make things tougher.
- I guess in short what I'm saying is I'll probably keep coming and going on the reception section, meaning it'll hold the article back from its GAN, but it'll eventually get done unless you or someone else works on it first. I've already started collecting potential refs for the main series article and TDiM, but I'm dreading those reception sections too. -- ZooBlazertalk 00:09, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hey, do you know if MobyGames is reliable enough to use as a source? If so, it can be used for adding Unreal Engine 4 and the producer, designers, artists, and writers to the body of the article as is mentioned on the GAR. In regards to UE4, there's also a Tweet/YouTube video from Unreal Engine regarding the first three games that could be potentially used.

Ref capitalization
Hey, do you know if there is a specific title case (APA, MLA, etc, or none at all?) that we're supposed to use with ref title capitalization? Just with your most recent HoA edit, you made "like" lowercase, which applies in some title cases, but not all.
I've been using the capitalize my title website when I was in doubt on my cureent GAN refs, but now I'm second guessing some of the things I capitalized or didn't capitalize. -- Zoo (talk) 16:16, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
- MOS:TITLECAPS is the way to go, @ZooBlazer. It states that words that normally should not be capitalised in titles include "
prepositions containing four letters or fewer (as, in, of, on, to, for, from, into, like, over, with, upon, etc.)

Congratulations, and thank you today for Guitar Songs, introduced: "After months away from FAC, I am back with more Billie Eilish; that is, if you disregard this blip. Today we set our sights on a EP---a quirky one, for it has only two tracks. But despite the brevity, these two tracks are confessional and pensive enough to leave a lasting impression. One "explores the topics of abandonment issues and a desire for numbness as a distraction from the problems that plague the world", and the other is a very detailed chronicling of a car accident experienced by Eilish's very close friend."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:03, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

I'm not super proud of the DYK, but it's what the reviewer wanted, so... it is what it is I guess. I plan to eventually working on the other games in the Anthology, since we can use House of Ashes as sort of a template of what kind of info/layout works. I probably won't start working on them too seriously for a little while unless you or others want to help sooner than that. It will be a very slow process if I do it alone. Let me know if you have interest at some point when you're real life is hopefully going well and you have time between your other wiki projects. Hey, I saw that you made the template for Template:The Weeknd songs and it looks great. I was wondering if you could make Template:Travis Scott songs because he has a good amount of songs with articles on his albums and a lot of other songs and features, so I think it is a good idea to divide them. Thank you so much and I also read what you were going through above and I kind of feel the same at times and I pray you get better because you can do this! 2607:FB91:904:E5C5:14C6:1186:7FC9:435F (talk) 04:58, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
TFA
Hi Elias. I am looking to run Smoking on My Ex Pack as the TFA on 8 November. Is there an extant blurb for it. If not, do you fancy having a go at one? Cheers. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:22, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Gog the Mild (sorry for the second ping following the one at the Ex Pack talk page): IFL the blurb I wrote on the original TFAR can be recycled. Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"

my story today |
---|
Congratulations, and thank you today for Smoking on My Ex Pack, introduced: "Within the past five months, you might have heard of a musician called SZA. Her most successful single yet, "Kill Bill", has been topping charts, and she had the blessing of one of the actors from the namesake films to make a cameo in its music video. Last December, she released an album that spent 10 weeks atop the US albums chart, and now she's selling out arenas on tour. Or you're been around for a while.
Here is one of the songs from the aforementioned album. It's a rap song in an album full of varying genres --- from country and acoustic ballads to trap and rock. One of my personal goals has been, for a long while, to bring more articles related to music by Black women to the highest possible quality, which makes me especially elated to nominate this for FAC."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:11, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

Thank you today for the article, introduced with a poem:
I guess you gotta go
I guess it's time to go
I gotta let you go ...
Since the two musicians who performed this song—SZA and Travis Scott―recently released another collaboration, I figured it'd be a good of a time as any to nominate one of their previous songs together. It includes a voice recording of SZA's deceased grandmother, which is a heartwarming gesture!"! - The gesture is welcome, always but especially when remembering people who recently died. - Today is the birthday of a composer and organist who made "Seele, vergiß sie nicht" audible. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:57, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

The Devil in Me
Hey, either before or after we work on the House of Ashes FAC, do you have any interest in working with me on the Devil in Me article to get it ready for an eventual GA nomination. I've finally begun expanding it and plan to just use House of Ashes as a template where possible. I have a good amount of potential refs saved up, but it's definitely easier to have help on these types of articles. If you're not interested, no worries. -- ZooBlazer 02:25, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: I'll do my best, but it's exams season for me at present so I won't be as active outside my regular purview until it's over. What is your current sub-goal for the Devil in Me article? I can probably help with finding more sources for that Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 07:05, 17 January 2024 (UTC)- No real sub-goal at the moment. Just trying to get whatever info I can currently. Probably need to add info from interviews and of course reception needs to be started still. I have a bunch of potential refs on my sandbox talk page and there are some reviews in the ref ideas of the Devil in Me article.
- Good luck on your exams! -- ZooBlazer 07:31, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know how I managed to forget this but thank you @ZooBlazer! Looking back, I think I went to shit, but I'm glad that's over anyway. I have school fair to look towards next, which is a breath of fresh air.
- Anyways, I'm ready for another joint effort. Since we're almost done with the House of Ashes article in terms of content, perhaps we should start with that? My only main concern right now is the reception section. Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 02:41, 20 January 2024 (UTC)- House of Ashes first sounds good to me. I updated the accolades table the other day so it should comply with the accessibility part of the FAC review. I do agree that the reception has the most work to go. I have this edit saved with the old hidden sections that were originally planned for the reception if we decide to go that route again. -- ZooBlazer 03:34, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- That's wonderful. Do you have a sandbox dedicated to improving the reception part? The best strategy I can devise is that (1) we gather all RS we need, (2) provide a bulleted summary of all the points and criticisms from each review, (3) categorise each one into a broad topic, and (4) synthesise. I've employed this approach with my previous FAs at Smoking on My Ex Pack and Your Power. Sound good? Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 03:56, 20 January 2024 (UTC)- We can use this sandbox if that works for you. I moved the section there. -- ZooBlazer 04:04, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe you should have been the one to nominate for FAC. I feel like I'm shadow banned or something as all the reviews around HoA have some responses. -- ZooBlazer 23:17, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: You are not shadowbanned. It's normal for first-timers at FAC to get intimidated by the scale and feel like they're getting glossed over. The trick is usually to review other FACs. If you provide a good-enough review, the nominator may feel grateful and review your own nom. The thing is, unlike with DYK, QPQs in FAC are more of a courtesy than an obligation; while you shouldn't set your standards high, it probably is your best shot at attracting reviewers Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 06:12, 26 January 2024 (UTC)- I was hoping with your experience with FAC, the reviewers would ignore me and focus on the fact that you've been around. Oh well. I don't mind waiting, I just hope not to have one of the FACs that gets archived due to a lack of reviewers in certain amount of time.
- I've reached out to a couple experienced reviewers so we'll see. One can't do it for 2-3 weeks due to off-Wiki things and the other is one of the FAC mentors with video games as one of their interests. Beyond them, we wait, unless you have a good wiki relationship with other known reviewers. -- ZooBlazer 06:31, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: you're learning the ropes of FAC, so it's good you're reaching out. Don't feel too dispirited about the situation. People are generally willing to help first-timers. Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 02:30, 27 January 2024 (UTC)- I did an image review today, which for the moment is all I'm confident in doing. Mostly did it just to get my name out there to hopefully get other's attention later on. -- ZooBlazer 02:52, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Should we keep the metacritic scores in the beginning of the text under reception? Or remove the numbers and merge the rest of the info into the first paragraph? -- ZooBlazer 01:17, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: I would say yes to the first one . the metacritic stuff is pretty incongruous with the stuff about "prevailing verdict" imo . anyway, now that im entering a new semester in school, i dont think id be of help as much with the fac, so i wish u the best w that . just got to wrap up with my Doom 2016 fac comments + kill bill GAN and then I think ill take a breather for a whole week. hope you have a great week ahead :) Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 14:56, 30 January 2024 (UTC)- Good luck with everything! I ended up just removing the actual scores as it seemed that's how it was for most video game GA/FAs.
- We'll see if there are any comments in the next week... you may not miss much in terms of the FAC at the rate things are going. -- ZooBlazer 18:16, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

House of Ashes FAC
I'm just starting a new section since it makes sense to do as opposed to using the TDiM section above.
Letting you know that I copied over the current main review from the FAC to my sandbox so we can cross off what we have addressed since it's a decent amount. Like I said above, I hope you have some available time soon. Hopefully I'll have more free time this weekend to address the FAC as I've only been able to address a few small things so far. -- ZooBlazer 18:59, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, @ZooBlazer. I am so sorry about not respondingg sooner. Unfortunately, I have big things at school coming right this weekend, so with the amount of comments at FAC, I cannot attend to them. Best of luck Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 23:44, 15 February 2024 (UTC)- Think it would be best to just withdraw for now until we are both free? -- ZooBlazer 00:52, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- Ignore that. I think I can get a lot of the stuff cleaned up, but there are some things like cleaning up the plot and reception that I would need help with. I'll get back to you after I've addressed what I can and then see what is left. -- ZooBlazer 03:02, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
- Since you did most of the revamped reception, do you think you'd have time in the next couple of days to address the issue in the FAC review? Reception is the only issue brought up so far that I'm not sure I myself can fix.
- The comment is:
This all feels like it could be tightened up further and better organized. I appreciate that it puts in effort to summarize a bunch of critic reviews, but I don't feel like I get a very good indication of what critics actually felt versus the general consensus because the reception meanders from considering individual points in isolation rather than talking about them more broadly. I don't know if the story was covered so much it deserves the subsection all about that aspect, or it's just less well-collated. Why does a single critic's opinion on the Iraq War aspect of the story get the better part of 200 words uninterrupted and essentially the last word on the game?
-- ZooBlazer 17:41, 18 February 2024 (UTC)- @ZooBlazer: I think it's best to just address comments from other reviewers then have it closed to maximise work done during this one FAC. I have other projects in my usual music purview up ahead, so I can't exactly attend to this right now. Thanks, and once again sorry for leaving you a bit in the dark. I promise I'll try to be more free this time around Elias 🌊 💬 "Will you call me?"
📝 "Will you hang me out to dry?" 02:51, 19 February 2024 (UTC)- I don't think it's worth having it archived at this point. Everything has been addressed so far other than the reception needing a little more cleaned up. -- ZooBlazer 19:11, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, do you know any editors, maybe from your previous FACs who'd be willing to review? There are currently three reviewers on the HoA FAC, but one may not be able to complete it due to personal reasons. -- ZooBlazer 22:25, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: Not really, sorry; most of them are very mainly music-oriented. You can try ChrisTheDude or Mike Christie, though in my experience the former's more willing to review FACs that are out there Elias 🪐 (dreaming of Saturn; talk here) 00:37, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- I asked Mike early on, but he was busy at the time, and said he may have a look in the future, so I don't want to bug him again. Even if he may have forgotten. Chris is a good idea. He's done FLC reviews for me. Slowly making progress on the FAC and hopefully the oppose will be struck soon now that a good amount of changes have been made. Hope all is going well on your end. -- ZooBlazer 00:59, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- I see @ZooBlazer, and thank you. I don't know if it's been obvious yet, so apologies, but I am not sure if I can keep committing to this FAC . Writing the reception section was actually, genuinely draining to do given the amount of reviews, and I've been having immense burnout over the House of Ashes project as I did not expect to cram this much information about the game in my brain. I cannot stress this enough - a million thanks that you are carrying the nomination. you're doing extremely well for a first-timer! Elias 🪐 (dreaming of Saturn; talk here) 12:51, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Looks like Chris is gonna take a look at the article in the coming days.
- Well, if you ever want to work on the other games in the series and hopefully make a GT/FT, I'll be there to split the duties unlike the early days of HoA, which should hopefully help with burnout and we can go off of what we learn from the HoA FAC of things to do/not to do. And maybe we can recruit another person or two to help. -- ZooBlazer 15:33, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Well, things are looking better. Managed to get the oppose struck and have three other supports, and one reviewer still leaving comments. I think mostly all that's needed is an image review, which I'm working on finding someone to help out with that. -- ZooBlazer 03:07, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- I almost jinxed it...
- Anyway, thank you for addressing most of the recent comments! I unexpectedly became really busy off-wiki the last couple days, so I haven't had a lot of editing time. -- ZooBlazer 15:08, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: all good. I am beginning to have more free time now that half of my semester's about to end and Semana Santa is fast approaching, so I took the chance to reread everything and compress tf out of the reception section. It looks way more readable, and I quite like what I did with it. Same with some paraphrasing issues. I trust you can follow up with the more minor stuff? Hi. I took care of your request at WP:RM/TR but just wanted to let you know, in case you don't already, that you should be able to do those types of moves yourself. Any autoconfirmed editor can move over a redirect as long as there is no more than one edit already at that redirect. Station1 (talk) 14:38, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Station1 thanks! I was under the impression that I'd need the page mover role to make moves involving existing redirects; looks like that's not the case anymore for every use case (?) I wonder if something changed. Oh well Elias 🪐 (dreaming of Saturn; talk here) 23:30, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

DYK for Yes, And?
On 14 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Yes, And?, which you recently nominated. The fact was ... that a Variety critic suggested that the title of Ariana Grande's "Yes, And?" followed on from that of "Thank U, Next"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Yes, And?. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Yes, And?), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
Promotion of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

- Yay! What a wild process over the last year+. Thanks to you for getting this all started in the first place. -- ZooBlazer 15:16, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
- @ZooBlazer: no problem. I have to give you props too for coming back to this article when I left it behind. If you are looking to get Man of Medan, Little Hope, The Devil in Me, or hell even The Quarry to GA status, let me know. No guarantee I'll have the time, but I'll try my best to help any way I can Elias 🪐 (dreaming of Saturn; talk here) 02:14, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- I want to do the other Dark Pictures games for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd also be interested in getting the Quarry to GA, but for me I'm gonna work on the Anthology first so it can become a GT, and hopefully at some point a FT.
- The Devil in Me is the furthest along. Reception needs added, but I've got reviews and other potential refs to go through in the ref ideas, and those articles should help flesh out other parts of the article as well like they did for HoA.
- I think my plan would be The Devil in Me, then go back to Man of Medan, then Little Hope. After that either the main article or Directive 8020 if it ever releases. -- ZooBlazer 02:51, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Removing an infobox on the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud article
Hello, PSA! Firstly, I'd like to personally thank you for your invaluable contributions (especially early on) to the Kendrick Lamar-Drake feud article. I still consider myself an inexperienced Wikipedian, and it showed on my first revision of the article. I archive now.
There was a reversion you made a few hours ago pertaining to the inclusion of a divisive 'civil conflict' infobox. The matter was still under discussion on the article's talk page at time of reversion. I know the person who originally added the infobox probably should've created a new section on the talk page to justify or ask about including it before making the change themselves; nevertheless, giving your perspective via the pertinent talk page section might've been helpful before you reverted it, knowing the contentiousness of the matter. There's still time to voice how you feel about it there.
Thank you. With gratitude, Cadenrock1 (talk) 16:34, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
