editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Normal, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Leonidlednev (T, C, L) 15:12, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the heads-up! I'll try and be more cautious of the Manual of Style. Patatasan (talk) 15:33, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
See WP:WTAF. Once you have written an article you can start to link it into others, but not before it has been published. Do not link from other articles to your draft. --10mmsocket (talk) 16:21, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, noted. Thanks for your help! Patatasan (talk) 16:24, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Design fiction, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop spamming this organisation. As an employee of the organisation you have a clear conflict of interest. 10mmsocket (talk) 08:45, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi. I’m sorry, I'm looking at other entries in this very section and only seeking to add relevant context. This is not about spamming (as you can see this is edit comes with a proper source) but about substantiating this section on how design fiction applies to public policy with a very relevant example. I’m not sure in which way this differs from the above reference in this section, other than it may be even more to the point of the topic. Also, yes: I’m part of an “organization” that is represented here, one of them, as it was a team effort with the European Commission. Would it be preferable to edit the wiki anonymously so as to not trigger these kinds of accusations? Patatasan (talk) 12:06, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Anonymous or with account, you have declared a conflict of interest and should avoid adding such material. 10mmsocket (talk) 16:51, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- That's exactly my point. I was being transparent, but by your reaction I'm guessing transparency isn't valued and I would have been better off hiding my identity to add anything of relevance that relates to my field. Lesson learned. Patatasan (talk) 17:00, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
