D7000 Specs

edit

First of all, and without wasting much more time with YOU DUDES, I would very much like to reiterate that you are an audience of exactly ONE INDIVIDUAL EACH and Wikipedia is not solely for YOU. As well, I would like to reiterate that I would like to see the full specs on there and remind you that neither of YOU are qualified to distinguish what information I, nor the rest of the world, might find "Useful" so long as it is relevant. Does that make sense to you?

This speaks directly to the fact that my post contained ALOT more content than that little box does. And no, it couldn't POSSIBLY be more relevant. THAT WAS KINDA THE POINT DUDE. GET IT? So you call me a spammer? I think you are absolutely ridiculous! That was a HUGE contribution and I feel, a much needed one. "I think that is all we need to know." Shove it; these principles are at the very heart of Wikipedia. So whereas I may be relatively new, don't lecture me dude because I know at least that much.

As well, I would like to point out that half of the sources cited (to the very page) are Affiliated with Amazon dude (since you're checking) right along with just about every other site on the internet. Hell, I'll bet you are too! Which means that you may know: that snippet on the Contact Us page is apart to the Amazon TOS. In fact, ALL of those very people (cited, right there on the same page) aught to post that same snippet if they haven't already.

So, tell me again what's appropriate you fool. That IS the deal for you, me, them, the rest of us: we all make our great contributions of free, relevant, and quality content/services --- and we hope to get paid a little somewhere down the line! Sound familiar dude? So tell me again, what is "inappropriate"? Sounds like a little hypocrisy to me... And if you might actually think about that for a but a second, it might sound the same to you. GET IT?

Fortunately, Wiki too has a TOS. As well, they offer a shot at getting around demi-gods like you. BTW, love how you killed the free press! Way to go Champ!

So what do you have to say for yourself? Should I go in there and start pinkin' off the folks that fall into the category that you just described? Right now? You mean it? Or do I have to be some self proclaimed authority like you? BTW, who are you?
Seriously.... It used to be that by citing something, you were simply identifying the source. Now, I respect that we're all trying to keep Wiki as accurate and integral as possible but then, I did contribute accurate and viable content. Further, you may also note that the site is a reliable source of THAT information (and it is reliable, thank you very much).Rsvetti (talk) 05:59, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Demi-god? I'm not even an administrator, lol. Anyway, I hope you feel better after that rant. ^_^ Now, whether or not it is reliable or accurate, is not the issue, the fact is this information is easily obtained from Nikon. By linking to your own website you created a conflict of interest. Please see WP:SELFPROMOTE. -Pixel8 17:19, 27 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi,

thanks for your photography of the C64. I used it for an article regarding memories on the good old time on my blog (Commodore 64 Erinnerungen). It's in german, but I wanted to let you know.

Best regards,

Michael — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.128.103.242 (talk) 00:32, 31 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

08/06/2012 Hi I should like to use some of your very good images in a new book on early home computers. I will of course include a credit - exactly what credit tag do you want - simple Pixel8?

Thanks

25/01/2012 Bill,

I'm writing to you on behalf of Vallentine Mitchell regarding a forthcoming book about the Jewish contribution to the British economy, which makes mention of Amstrad and Lord Sugar. We would like to include a photograph of an Amstrad CPC464 computer in the book. I will recommend your photograph to the author and you will of course be credited if it is used in the final publication (which is to be called "Thank you for your business").

Regards,

Hi Bill. I thought you'd like to know that I used your photo of the Amstrad CPC 464 in my project about Alan Turing. You can see it here:

Hi Bill, I just wanted to inform you that we used your foto of the ZX Spectrum on our Blog http://www.lgm.info/content/view/412/9/ Didn't know how to contact you, so I wrote this here, sorry. Best, Jan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pizzamat (talkcontribs) 13:40, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello Bill, just letting you know that I used your photos of the c64, zx & cpc in my retro game book "Screenshots May Vary". Please see this video clip that shows your photos and name in the credits page. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94jpuWsOdns The CPC photo is my favourite as it shows both the keyboard & monitor(switched on) giving the photo life. Thanks, Eric. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.169.85.7 (talk) 22:12, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know Eric. The book looks good! -Pixel8 19:00, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kibibytes.

edit

Hi there,

Just thought I might drop a note to tell you that I reverted part of your edit, as the ZX Spectrum referred to in the Sinclair Research#Products section did indeed come with 16 Kibibytes of RAM. If it were to be measured in the modern definition Kilobytes (the unit to which you changed it) it would have 16.384 Kilobytes.

See you round!

InternetMeme (talk) 01:05, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why did you revert that part of the article, when every other article about home computers uses KB and not KiB? Even the ZX Spectrum article uses KB. There was an edit war over this issue a few years ago, and it was decided to use KB. Please see Wikipedia:MOSNUM --Pixel8 12:03, 14 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

question

edit

Hi, I'm user Evan-Amos and I began taking high-quality pictures of consoles and such a while ago and have admired your work. Are you still active at all? The reason I ask is that I've been working my way through the video game console world and have run into some snags concerning international consoles, mostly the PAL versions. I noticed that you had the picture of the Mega Drive and was wondering if you'd ever think of taking any more PAL console pictures? Or be interested in taking a PAL Mega Drive picture along the lines of these: File:Sega-Genesis-Mod1-Set.jpg File:Sega-Genesis-Mod2-Set.jpg

You're one of the few (almost only) people here that I can ask, so I wanted to try. Evan-Amos (talk) 06:12, 14 February 2011 (UTC) -Reply

Hi Evan, unfortunately I am not currently active as I don't have DSLR at the moment. I will photograph them when I get my new camera, but I don't know when that will be (soon I hope). Pixel8 10:20, 14 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:18, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you!

  The Photographer's Barnstar
Hi Bill,

Thanks for all the photos you made available. I am writing a book in which I would like to use your ZX Spectrum image. Do you have any objections to that or would you like to have it attributed in a specific way? Best regards, Jeroen. Movablemind (talk) 17:43, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Feel free to use the image, just credit me with my real name, as per the license. Thanks for the Barnstar! --Pixel8 20:29, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Use of pics + credit

edit

Hi Pixel8 We are currently working on an online interactive feature for the Discovery Channel Latinamerica (www.tudiscovery.com) about the Internet History. While doing my research, I found a couple of your excellent pics (Amiga 500, Spectrum 128K) and given that they're listed under CC BY-SA 2.5 license, we would very much like to use it for editorial purposes.

Given the type of license mentioned, the legal department is asking us to get written consents from all the artists we want to include. Your name of course will be fully recognised by abiding to this kind of license by crediting your name on the website.

In case you agree with the publishing, I would thank you very much to contact me by email (juan@noblink.tv) so I could send you a fillable form for our records.

Looking forward to hear from you soon I thank you very much in advance for your cooperation. Please let me know in case any doubt arise.

Kind Regards Juan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noblink (talkcontribs) 18:11, 16 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Usage of your C64 photo in Retro Gamer magazine.

edit

Hi Bill, There's a possibility that I might be using your shot of the C64's PCB - C64motherboard.jpg - in an article I'm writing for Retro Gamer magazine. If so, I'll make sure to give you credit as the creator / owner of the photo. Many thanks, and keep up the great work!
