Hello, I'm Fylindfotberserk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Allu Arjun, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Rahul Sipligunj, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Telugu (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:35, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Rahul BB Telugu.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Rahul BB Telugu.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Captalisation and wikilinking

edit

Hi there, re: this edit, there are a few problems with it. Firstly, we don't need to add duplicate Wikilinks for Hyderabad and India, since the links are already there. Also, we don't link to major geographical locations, like India.

Note also that occupations are not proper nouns, so they should not be capitalised. We don't call the Plumber, we call the plumber. So "Actor, Producer, Television Presenter, Assistant Director" is incorrect, where "Actor, producer, television presenter, assistant director" would be correct. Actor is capitalised because it is at the beginning of the sentence, per normal grammar rules. We also don't need wikilnks for these words, since they are common words/concepts. It would be appreciated if you'd please adhere to WP:OVERLINK moving forward. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:24, 7 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, re: this, please do not link to nations in the infobox. See Template:Infobox person instructions. Also, please don't add duplicate wikilinks. See WP:OVERLINK. Trouble with capitalisation?

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
It seems that you have never used a summary, ever. Give it a try, it's useful to you as well as other editors.

Film film film

edit

Hi there, re: this and this and similar, I'm unclear why you are adding repetitious language. In both of those sentences, before you edited them, it was fairly clear that these people are film actors.

Nidhhi Agerwal ... is an Indian actress and dancer who appears in Bollywood and Telugu films.
Samantha Akkineni ... is an Indian actress who has established a career in the Telugu and Tamil film industries

Isn't it abundently clear in both examples that the subjects are film actors? Are you just not reading the entire sentence when you add these? Whatever the case, we don't need the repetitious language, please. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:12, 28 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not using edit summary

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Ranga Reddy district does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You can see your usage of edit summary: here. I'll do it for you, if you are too busy to open this. Of total 1,165 live edits you have ZERO edit summaries...yes ZERO!

(transl. Oh dear....I appeal to you, use edit summaries....PLEASE !) -- Ab207 (talk) 19:10, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Raghuveer, to emphasise Ab207's point, you have been asked several times to use edit summaries. This isn't a trivial issue—edit summaries help other members of the community understand the rationale for the edits you are making. This is important when the rationale can't be easily determined, like when you silently remove content[1][2] or make changes that seem lateral. Unexplained removal of content, as one example, can be indistinguishable from vandalism, so in a world where other editors are watching the edits that each other makes, clarifying your reason for the edit can make the difference between someone thinking you're a vandal and someone understanding that the change was valid. Since this is a community editing project and other editors are asking you for better communication, that might be something to consider. Thanks and regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:56, 31 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blockage issue

Plse Bishonen unblock my wikipedia page i will follow the rules i will mention in my talk page from now onwards Raghuveer Aavula (talk) 08:05, 4 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Raghuveer Aavula, nice to hear from you. Not sure what you mean by "i will mention in my talk page from now onwards". Will you use edit summaries from now on, and be responsive to warnings and advice on this page? I feel I have to ask, since in fact you don't use an edit summary for the post above. The automatically generated "new section" doesn't count, since it doesn't explain anything about your edit. A suitable — explanatory — edit summary for your edit above might have been for instance "Please unblock", or "Reply to Bishonen", or "Yes, I will use edit summaries". I hope I'm making myself clear. Please respond more specifically below: will you use edit summaries and be responsive to concerns on this page? Bishonen | tålk 08:58, 4 August 2020 (UTC).Reply
Bishonen, The editor must also ensure us that these kind of un-sourced and un-encyclopedic edits does not happen if unblocked. See [3] ~ Amkgp 💬 15:52, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't think we can ask them to guarantee that they'll altogether stop causing problems, Amkgp. My request that they undertake to be responsive to concerns on this page is meant to make them listen to, and discuss, all concerns that are brought here. Unsourced and unencyclopedic edits have been brought here, for instance with this post. I don't want a list here of all the kinds of problems that they need to avoid; communication will hopefully solve them. Especially, I don't want such a list since the user was apparently already so baffled by my request for a promise to use edit summaries that they have let three days go by without replying. Possibly there is a language problem that makes it difficult for them to understand/discuss stuff, and that may mean they have already given up. We'll just have to see if I ever get a response to my post above. And, indeed, if people can't communicate in English, my first advice to them is to instead edit the Wikipedia in their native language. Bishonen | tålk 16:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC).Reply
