editthank you for changing your username. I apologize for any specualtions about your beliefs I may be guilty of, and I assure you that your npov edits are most welcome. I also resolve to refer to you in the feminine gender from now on. I think Rapunzel is a fine username, and I am sure everyone will be much happier with it ;) dab (ᛏ) 12:50, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I'd like to echo what Dbachmann has just said. I made the decision to request that you change you username purely based upon Wikipedia's policy towards usernames of that nature and not on any other basis. Your username came up on my watchlist because you edited Otto Ernst Remer and I had recently created a redirect for Otto-Ernst Remer. Before I made the request I quickly reviewed your contribution to that page and did not find anything to object to. Indeed I was glad that the article had been expanded. brilliant article on fenriz, it led me onward to read of your username change and the antecedent discussion. i certainly agreed with your view more than anyone else's; selective consideration for umbrage that happens to be politically correct is a grotesquely improper way of enforcing a policy vague enough to affect probably any username. i remember when i was in high school, we were told not to use the computers at school for surfing pages with "obviously offensive" material. there was no list of what was considered offensive, of course, for if there were, that would mean the administration couldn't ban and censor arbitrarily. i love how it's never mentioned in policies and terms of use exactly what political of religious group it supports.
in any event, i live in norway, and i will with enthusiasm arrange a one-man welcoming committee with kazoos and flags the day you decide to emigrate. we need more people like you here. do send me an email if you'd like some inside info on norge, or anything else: supinum(at)gmail.com. supine 22:51, 26 Jan 2005 (UTC)
