Conflict of interest editing, multiple accounts and your username
editHi again Rogercraigvogel. There are a couple of things I noticed based upon your post at User talk:Rogcraigvogel#Replaceable fair use File:Roger Vogel.jpg that have to do with Wikipedia:Conflict of interest, Wikipedia:Username policy#Using multiple accounts and Wikipedia:Username policy#Real names.
Since you appear to be Roger Craig Vogel, Wikipedia considers you to have a conflict-of-interest when it comes to the article or anything on Wikiepdia related to Vogel. Wikipedia does not expressly prohibit conflict-of-interest editing per se, but it is something highly discouraged because it can quickly lead to some various serious problems even when the editor does not intend to do so. So, I strongly suggest that you carefully read through Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and make yourself familiar with the kinds of edits Wikipedia considers acceptable for a COI-editor to make. You should also probably read through Wikipedia:Ownership of content and Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing for reference as well since these include information relevant to COI-editing.
You also should understand that Wikipedia policy on user accounts is basically one per person except in some specifically designated cases. It appears that you currently have two: Rogcraigvogel and Rogercraigvogel and editing from both is not allowed. Perhaps you forgot the password on your older account and created this one to respond to the above-mentioned post about the non-free image. If that's the case, then that's OK because that kind of thing happens all the time. You should, however, ask for administrator assistance by posting a Template:Admin help on this user talk page or by posting something at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. An adminstrator will be able to help cleanup anything that needs to be cleaned up and fix things so that other editors are not confused or assume the worst about the multiple accounts.
Finally, Wikipedia's username policy does allow users to use their real names if they so choose to do so. In some cases, however, such accounts may be temporarily blocked as a precaution against damaging impersonation when the name is the same as a specific identifiable individual (i.e., typically someone who has a Wikipedia article written about him or her). So, you may want to consider either (1) changing your username if you are concerned about your privacy, or (2) verifying your identity by sending an email to Wikipedia OTRS. In the case of (2), an OTRS volunteer will add a template to your userpage indicating that your identity has been verified and that you are not someone pretending to be you.
If you have a general questions about any of the above, you can ask for assistance at Wikipedia:Teahouse or Wikipedia:Help desk and someone should be able to help you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:04, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
