Hi Rsrikanth05,

Please tell me why you reverted my edits. Thanks

Sandhu

Why you are deleting important information about "Sandhu"?

Sandhu (Punjabi: ਸੰਧੂ) is a second largest clan as well as surname of Jatt people. They mainly live in Punjab region (East Punjab and West Punjab) and also abroad as they migrated overseas. As of 1881 census, there were 135732 Sandhus. The Hindu Sandhu Jatts of Bar region, converted to Islam, while the Hindu Sandhu Jatts, of Majha region, converted to Sikhism. Muslim Sandhu Jatts were mainly found in Sialkot, Gujranwala, Shiekhupura, Lyallpur, districts of the Bar, while the Sikh Sandhu Jatts, were found in, great large numbers in Amritsar, Lahore, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, districts of Majha, Doaba, and Malva. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.1.86.21 (talk) 20:26, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Replicant edits revert

Hi, you have just reverted my edits to the Replicant (operating system) page. Care to explain why? I have a conflict of interest here, that is clearly established in the Talk page and the changes I have made were commented and factually correct. Thanks. --PaulK (talk) 08:11, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

I have reverted your revert since it doesn't seem to have any grounds. Please discuss the reason here if you wish to undo my edits again.

@PaulK: Please have a look at the page on reliable sources. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:41, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Gentamicin edit

Hi, Can you tell me why was my change on Gentamicin page reverted? It'll be great if you can tell me what exactly was wrong with it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harsh6886 (talkcontribs) 10:23, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

@Harsh6886: Hi, I undid your edit because Gentamicin has too many trade names for all to be listed. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:42, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Good article status for Maharashtra

Can you give Maharashtra a good article status? Dongar Kathorekar (talk) 03:44, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

HI, I'd appreciate it if you added new messages at the bottom of the page so it is easier for me to find it. You can use the + or New section next to the Edit button on top. As for GA status to Maharashtra, the article seems to be in a good condition now. It will require a little bit of copyediting and sourcing, after which we can go in for a GA-review. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:20, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Can you help?

Hi, I'm making an article on historic Dharashiv caves of Osmanabad, I found pictures of caves on flickr [1], can you help me to take that pictures to commons? I'm not able to do it because of some technical issues. These are very nice pics and can be very useful to Wikipedia. --Human3015 knock knock • 21:13, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Reverts in Global Peace Index

I noticed you "re-reverted" yourself here in Global Peace Index. You were correct in reverting him in the first place, but unforunately it would not have helped because he has been messing up the list since May. See comments in Talk:Global Peace Index#Global Peace Index ranks. I'm not entirely sure how to deal with this, especially because a check of the other lists he has been editing show the exact same and it would be a lot of work to clean it all up. 62.107.216.149 (talk) 13:16, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Heraklion International Airport

'Scheduled Destanations' is a better way of indicating to readers that these are scheduled destanations and airlines. 'Summer Seasonal Charter Flights' Indicates that these are charter flights, operating in the summer, but on certain dates.

Please don't add these again as they cause confusion to readers, thanks. RMS52 (talk) 10:18, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Please follow the standard pattern that all airport pages follow. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:21, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
In fact, there is no 'Standard pattern' that all the airport pages follow, most are different and don't have seperate sections for charter and scheduled flights. Again, I have changed it to Charter Destanations and Scheduled Destanations, if you have any problems with this feel free to tell me. RMS52 (talkcontribs) 13:22, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Revert on Jim Parrack

Hey there. Just wanted to point out that while this is probably a good revert because it's original research, I don't think it's such a good use of rollback since it's not obvious vandalism. I'm afraid we're alienating IP users by not explaining to them what's going on. agtx 22:50, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

@Agtx: I reverted the edit because the url says fansite. However since you say it is a good edit, I'll undo it. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:52, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
No it's definitely a bad edit. You don't have to undo it. I only brought it up because I think it would be been appropriate to explain in the edit summary why you were reverting, as opposed to using standard rollback per guidelines at WP:ROLLBACK#When to use rollback. agtx 22:54, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Already undid it. I did not leave a specific edit in the summary because I was using Huggle and there wasn't a suitable preset message in the list. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 22:55, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Understood. However, that probably means that you shouldn't revert that kind of edit with Huggle. agtx 23:57, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
This is the first time I'm actually hearing of a not to undo with Huggle. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 00:17, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Well, Huggle or no Huggle, you're using standard rollback without an edit summary, so the I'd think the rules of using standard rollback apply. Overall, it's just not great to revert things that aren't obviously vandalism without explaining why you're doing it. agtx 01:09, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

That renders all the Anti-vandalism tools pointless at some point or the other. My rationale is simple. User removed a link to Variety.com and replaced it with a fansite, that's normally borderline vandalism. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 01:16, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
Right but the guidelines for standard rollback don't say "borderline" vandalism, they say obvious vandalism. I don't think that renders the anti-vandalism tools pointless. They are useful for their intended purpose: reverting actual vandalism. Wikipedia starts to be a hostile and unwelcoming place when we revert new users' or IP changes with no summary and no explanation as to why the revert happened. Might it slow you down if you have to explain why you're reverting something instead of just hitting the button? Yeah, it might, but that's not a bad thing. agtx 01:45, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
It doesn't slow it down, it brings it to a complete stop. I have to open my browser and find that page. I'd rather just skip and keep going. Either someone else or Cluebot will revert it. And they'd do the same thing. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:38, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, a kind request to post new messages at the bottom of the page, so it is easier for me to monitor it. I'll have a look at it. There are a few dead links, I'll fix them using Archive.org. Some amount of copy editing is required. Once that is done, I'll ask for a GA review. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 17:09, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Why did you revert my edits? [2] They were constructive and improved the article. You gave no reason. I don't want to get into an edit war, but please have a look and see whether you didn't perhaps make a mistake. --104.238.169.54 (talk) 06:52, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

@104.238.169.54: I undid your edit because you did not provide a source. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:56, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
Actually, I didn't need to: the source for the first edit is already there, in the sentence (citation 5). Did you read it? It mentions both groups I used to clarify the 'who' tag. The second sentence I added is supported by the citation in the sentence immediately prior. Is there a way of providing an 'op cit' citation? At any rate, the better solution is surely to put a 'citation needed', since these were clearly good faith edits. --104.238.169.54 (talk) 06:59, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Hello,

I tried to replace the link with a new related link, because the current one is broken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trav52 (talkcontribs) 18:36, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

I undid your edit because it seemed promotional. If it is dead [I have no clue what a broken link is or how a link can be broken], it should ideally be replaced by an archive link. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 19:22, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
If you follow the link that is currently there, it goes to a page with no content. I decided to link to an article talking about the same topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trav52 (talkcontribs) 23:50, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
If that is the case, I'd suggest copying the link to Archvie.org and getting an archived version of the page. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 00:22, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
I checked Archive.org, and it appears that there is no archived version of the page. I believe placing an article talking about the same subject would have just as much authority. -Trav52, 7/21/2015 10:41 am PST — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trav52 (talkcontribs) 17:41, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

Please do not enable the defacement of Observium

The page has been under intermittent defacement attacks for a year and a half. The attackers are people who set up a competing project, and keep trying to add links to their project and write bad things about Observium on the entry. Unfortunately, due to the nature of wikipedia, it isn't easy to keep the page clean, and it's even harder to demonstrate to the wikipedia community that the LibreNMS people are the defacers. -- 109.154.122.54

@109.154.122.54: Wikipedia is not a battleground for both Observium and LibreNMS. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 21:14, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

So why do you take their side and restore their edits, then? Remove the entire section.109.154.122.54 (talk) 21:17, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

All references to LibreNMS should be removed from the Observium article, and that would solve the problem.109.154.122.54 (talk) 21:35, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

@109.154.122.54: I'm a neutral party here. My concern relates to your disruptive editing, and nothing more. Accusing me of taking the side of your rival is not correct, not unless you have proof. So stop with your conspiracy theory and remember than Wikipedia is not a place for advertising or promoting your project. I'm pinging @Adamathefrog: as well so they know. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 06:09, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

B.A.D

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with B.A.D. (professional wrestling). Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. The AFD states that BAD is also nominated for deletion. wL<speak·check> 08:00, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

@WikiLeon: Hi, you might be an admin but both your revert and your warnings were done in bad faith here. The AfD DID NOT INCLUDE B.A.D till your edit less than 30 minutes ago. Would appreciate it if you could strike off this warning. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 08:04, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
(edit conflict)The diff says it was made at midnight 22 July 2015 (UTC), that was about 30 hours ago. Shouting "how hard is it to read" at me looks uncivil and I took it as bad faith and unwilling to follow WP:3RR. If this wasn't your intention, I apologize. This nomination was based on TheBellaTwins1445 putting an AFD tag that links to a related article's AFD.[3] I thought the same as you and reverted,[4] but later found that WP:BUNDLE allows nominating multiple articles in one AFD if they are related. To finish TheBellaTwins1445's nomination, I added the {{la}} for BAD. If you feel that the nomination is unwarranted, I think the best place we can voice that is the AFD itself. --wL<speak·check> 08:26, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi Materialscientist, sorry to bother you, again. I need a little of your guidance right now. Last night, on Huggle or Stiki, I came across a user adding an AfD template on B.A.D. (professional wrestling). Initially it was added by another admin, which I undid because the AfD in question did not mention the article where I had found the template. The admin came along and reverted my edits, left me two warnings, and at the same time added the article in question to the AfD. Was I right in removing the template when the AfD never mentioned the article where I found it till hours later? I'm posting a copy of this message on my talk page right under the warning. Please have a look at let me know. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 08:11, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Just a heads up - I've removed the other nommed article from the AFD as quite frankly it's ridiculous to include an article when 4 or 5 editors have so far !voted on one article, The top half of the AFD as the days went on wouldn't of made any sense, As I said on the AFD if someone wants to nominate B.A.D they can AFD it instead which atleast in my eyes makes much more sense (Had this new article been included before anyone !voted I obviously wouldn't of cared but anyway babbling on  ), Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 14:50, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Krystal Meyers' birthday valid source Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento CA

So you came in (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Krystal_Meyers&action=history 18:02, 24 July 2015‎ Rsrikanth05) and removed what I reverted to prove Krystal Meyers birth, with no reason given at all so your accomplice Rmhermen could come in after you and add her or his block, to make it look like she did not instigate the point at which the block was made (not showing a birth date for Krystal Meyers, which was YOUR role in this conspiracy), for Rmhermen to try to protect herself as she threw your dumb ass to the curb, and you're so stupid you let her. But all of you are just as guilty.

I wrote the below, and you are obviously working with Rmhermen and Walter to make people think Krystal Meyers is a child, to make it Wikipedia's view of Krystal Meyers to be a child so Wikipedia will be coughing up 300 million for their role in the conspiracy to murder Krystal Meyers, to create a false "Krystal Meyers' who the world would not expect to be able to have kids because you present her as a perpetual child. That is your agenda. You are conspiring in crimes so vast that you will never get out of prison, if you are not executed for them.

Written to Rmhermen

You wrote "Reverted edits by Asian Radio Guru to last version by Walter Görlitz" and he wrote in error "This was the original source that was removed" which is untrue as the original source was a site that no longer gives birth info for free (see below links). So you are NOT paying attention to the facts. My info goes to the United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics which is proof as proof gets. You cannot say it is not a valid source, period. So you cant just revert something back to an untrue reason (Walter Görlitz reason) as you conveniently gave no reason for your action. You did that because you knew you had no valid reason for you action.

What I have as PROOF of Krystal Meyers' birth is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Krystal_Meyers&oldid=670472721#cite_note-birth_name-1 going to this page https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VLY6-RMX which is incontrovertible proof of Krystal Meyers' birth.

California Birth Index - Krystal Nicole Meyers, 31 Jul 1988; citing Orange, California, United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento". Family Search: Intellectual Reserve, Inc. 1988. Retrieved July 7, 2015. l that linked to here https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VLY6-RMX that is NOT the previous, effectively, non functioning site

What was there was that no longer provides birth info for free was this: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Krystal_Meyers&oldid=667124565#cite_note-birth_name-1 "California Births - Krystal Meyers". Pearl Street Software/Family Tree Legends. 1988. Retrieved February 1, 2013, that linked to here http://www.familytreelegends.com/records/calbirths?c=search&first=krystal&last=meyers&spelling=Exact&4_year=1988&4_month=7&4_day=31&5=female&7=orange&SubmitSearch.x=45&SubmitSearch.y=19 which now redirects to the site that now requires a payment to view their information and NOT what I am linking to as proof.

So that was only able to be removed in the first place because that site changed to be a paid service that no longer provided birth record information for fee, for public view, where the site I have linked does offer birth record info for public view going to go to Orange, California, United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento

The site I listed gives proof of Krystal Meyers birth : https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VLY6-RMX

So I am reverting your objection and notated this page and I will also direct people to see the history of this page just in case you try to do like Walker did and simply remove it (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Walter_G%C3%B6rlitz&oldid=672798318#Krystal_Meyers.27_birthday). Know that you cannot remove it from your history and people would see you removing valid proof, so I would suggest you do not make any attempt to undo my edits, because this page is being watched by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Not threat. A fact.

This is an unreliable copy of a primary source, not a secondary source. We have no way (from that source) to know that that record is correct or that it refers to the subject of the article. Rmhermen (talk) 17:31, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

You are a liar. You do not work for the FBI. So you are impersonating an FBI agent and just so you will know what you are getting yourself into, that is a crime punishable by up to three years in prison and a $250,000 fine and that is for that crime alone, when you are found guilty of it (you are guilty because you just said you are an FBI agent and that history https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Krystal_Meyers&action=history you cannot get rid of. You can, at best put a line through that but it will show. I know by you current and previous actions that you are not an FBI agent. I am not an FBI agent. But I factually told you that page (and now I am letting you know that Krystal Meyers' also) was being watched by the FBI and it is. But you took that information and dug your high heels in, like a rebellious child with no sense at all.

I have reverted your edit because the information a site that is known to provide accurate information. It is NOT a secondary source. It is a portal for that direct information. Is a feed from Orange, California, United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento, NOT secondary information. They are linked to the database of the United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento. So your secondary information claim is invalid.

No it is not a direct link to Orange, California, United States, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento and a secondary source is what we need since you have noo way of establishing a connection between that original record and the article subject. Rmhermen (talk) 18:02, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
What kind of nonsense is this? I'm NOT working with anybody. I'm not conspiring with anybody. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 18:48, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Metro-North Railroad rolling stock/Metro-North Railroad

Is there a good reason you reverted my edit? I have already talked about splitting this article in the talk page, it has been up there for a week, and only one person commented on it! And he was for it! I split the article, like I said I would, and all of the information is still in the other article. I will not start an edit war, but I want an explanation please! RES2773 (talk) 14:35, 26 July 2015 (UTC)RES2773

As I posted on your talk page, I undid it because you just removed 16000 bytes of data without an edit summary. However, I'd suggest waiting a little more than a week for splitting an article. A single response may not reflect general consensus. Maybe posting on the local Noticeboard would get more eyes. Hence I undid it in good faith. However, for the moment, I'm undoing my edit. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 14:37, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
I understand. I will keep the discussion open for another week, and if no one has objections, I think we should have it split. Thanks! RES2773 (talk) 14:51, 26 July 2015 (UTC)RES2773

revert on St Louis-style bbq?

Hi, I noticed you marked a revert as a minor edit -- I looked at it and couldn't see any problem with the user's edit. Why did you revert? valereee (talk) 13:33, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

The statement inserted was an opinionated statement, which did not have a source. HenceI undid it. It was marked as minor, because Huggle marked it as minor. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:36, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Then why not drop a [citation needed] instead of reverting? And Huggle should be ashamed of itself. A revert should really almost never be marked as WP:MINOR valereee (talk) 13:46, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
I reverted it also, because the same user made THIS EDIT. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 13:58, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I'd certainly agree that's straightforward vandalism.  :) I checked another edit of his to Baker Hughes, which his IP is apparently registered to (according to another editor's post on his talk page) and reverted it. Definitely an IP to watch. valereee (talk) 14:48, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Wikimania Scholarship

Hi Srikanth, FYI: Currently there is a thread in Wikimania list, related to Wikimania Scholarship program. [5]. Regards--Praveen:talk 13:59, 31 July 2015 (UTC)

@Praveenp: Hi, thanks for alerting me, but I think I'll let this one pass. If I say something now, the WMF just takes it as the words of someone upset for not having got a scholarship for five years in a row. I've put it on record that the process is the least transparent process ever and nepotism and favouritism oozes out of it. Maybe @Saileshpat: would be interested. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 18:38, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
