Kamen Rider Kuuga (Decade)‎

That's cool. I just couldn't figure out why you'd removed all that info since you didn't give an edit summary. Thanks for explaining. Best, --SouthernNights (talk) 01:48, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

I forgot to. Some users keep adding the content when there's nothing to support it yet.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:49, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Abuse of rollback

I have brought this up to you before about rollback. Rollback is not for reverting good faith edits. It's for reverting vandalism. Below is your recent rollbacks;

You cannot use rollback to revert edits that are in good faith and that you could have used the "undo" feature and provided a clear explanation to justify your revert. Such use of rollback is abusive per WP:ROLLBACK. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 20:07, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

It's not really of any use on the talk page and the templates needn't be interwikied.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:08, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Episode summaries

Thank you for cutting back on that summary that Fractyl wrote. He seems to do this for pretty much every series, and I warned him against the amount of content that he added. I know that there's a nice 48 summaries of Kiva and Go-onger that could need your eye for useless detail. :P—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:18, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I'll take a look when I get some spare time. I have got to applaud you for your patience in dealing with Fractyl and Mythdon. I know I could never last under that much frustration and redundancy. Keep up the good work, don't let it get to you. =) Floria L (talk) 20:31, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
My interactions with Mythdon have appeared at AN right now (check two sections above this one). Maybe you could take a look and give some input on what you think of these two users.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:33, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi Ryulong

Hi Ryulong, thanks for your message. I know, I saw that you had commented on AN that you had acted on this IP because of a report on one of the noticeboards that they were signing everywhere as "intentionally unsigned". I agree that the IP's actions were disruptive; just think that the time served is adequate. Sorry about the grief you are getting on AN. It's almost inevitable that criticism will occur when one makes as many administrative actions as you do, despite best intentions. Best regards -- Samir 07:32, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Kamen Rider G

Should Kamen Rider G be mentioned somewhere on Wikipedia? I thought there was a small article of it but there wasn't after I searched. If you don't know what it is, it's a parody of the Kamen Rider series and I think it's to do with TV Asahi's 50th anniversary or something. I watched it today on YouTube, just to note. --Burai (talk) 21:17, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

It can be put on Kamen Rider Series somewhere.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:54, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
Well, I've stuck it in the TV Specials of that article here. --Burai (talk) 08:54, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

about Kuuga stats.

what an arrogance you have, mr. admin. So you think i am posting a false information huh? just like many jackass do? it's because it was the correct stats number. Who said that Pegasus Form Punch is 7 tons? and Who said that Dragon Form kick is 7 tons? i've been searching through the google and find it out from here:http://maryu.sakura.ne.jp/hero/rider/rider15.htm. The old official site(www.tv-asahi.co.jp/Kuuga) that no longer online is also state that Dragon and Pegasus Kuuga have the same punching and kicking power, which is 1 tons and 3 tons, dude! if you want a more prove, why wouldn't you buy Kuuga's official guidebook or searching through the websites? i'm sure that i was the right, not you. Because i'm not lying. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Knight SV (talkcontribs) 19:56, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Talk page protection.

Hey, I have no issues with you having your talk page being protected but how do you plan on having IPs be able to contact you? Maybe you could create a unprotected subpage? Tiptoety talk 06:01, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

I haven't really had any issues with IPs really needing to contact me lately.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:15, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
How would you know seeing as your talk page is protected? Tiptoety talk 15:15, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
*shrug*—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:32, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Hm...I was hoping that you would just create a subpage. I mean talk pages are here for the purpose of communication and when they are protected it totally defeats the purpose. I would be happy to create a subpage for you if you like, but I think simply shrugging and ignoring it is not the correct action to take. Tiptoety talk 20:42, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
I had one in the past, but I suppose that the page could just be unprotected. I rarely directly communicate with IP users, and if so, I try to make contact with them on their talk page and check my contributions.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 21:53, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
...So you are saying you do not feel it is important, so you will just keep your talk protected and have no way for IP's to contact you? Tiptoety talk 04:32, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
No. I'm saying I don't really care if this page is unprotected.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 06:25, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Oh, that makes it easy. :-) I went ahead and unprotected it. Thanks! Tiptoety talk 23:40, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Request for unprotect

Hi, would you mind unprotecting User talk:YourLord? You protected it in June 2007 because he, a recently blocked user, was using it as a bit of a chat forum. Since then he has been blocked for sockpuppeting twice (here and here) because he created new accounts as a means of getting around his block. Long story short, if he wishes to appeal to ANI or ArbCom he may need to do it via his original account's talk page (per WP:GAB), which he can't do since it's fully protected. Plus I think that protecting his talk page was what led him to sock in the first place, since it prevented him from being able to follow the instructions he'd been given on how to redeem himself (if he ever wished to follow them). In any case I think some idle chit-chat, however annoying, doesn't really necessitate a full-protect, nor is there a need for it to still be protected almost 2 years after the fact. --IllaZilla (talk) 22:48, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

If he's going to petition ANI or ArbCom, then the page can be unprotected. Other than that, I see no point.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:03, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Well, I noticed in WP:GAB#Sockpuppetry and Checkuser-based blocks that "Users confirmed or believed to have engaged in the practice must request unblock at their main account." I took that to mean that he would have to make the request from his original account, which he can't do if the talk page is full-protected. Although his account for the past year has been User:Jupiter Optimus Maximus, so I guess that would be considered his "main" account at this point. --IllaZilla (talk) 23:12, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Has he expressed that he wishes to be unblocked in either sockpuppet account usage?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 23:44, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
He did post an unblock request at User talk:Jupiter Optimus Maximus#Request for unblock, but it was denied. In the conversation below the request he does express a desire to be unblocked and says he might pursue the ANI/ArbCom route. I've given him instructions on how to send an unblock request by email. --IllaZilla (talk) 00:10, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
He can contact the arbitration committee directly if he so wishes.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 01:06, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Regarding this

Hopefully, no one else will ask me anything there as I am do not really wish to say anything further as I don't believe the discussion is accomplishing anything at this point and so hopefully my final line about moving on and all will be correctly read as an "okay, time to move on." If you wish to DRV the articles, I will support that, if you are okay with the close, then, I'll move on as well as there's so much else to be done!  :) If that's the case, then have a nice night and I guess better luck in the future with these! Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 08:56, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Problem users

Remember the vandal who used the IP addresses at 124.104.80.0/20? It seems he has returned, this time using a different range, vandalizing several articles, reverting several reverted edits and saying the opposite of what he did. Examples of the articles vandalized by this user are Regine Velasquez and its talk page and Greg Plitt. Here is the list of IPs the vandal used. There may be more.

I originally posted these address on WP:AN/I, but was somehow moved to WP:SPI for a quick checkuser. The result was a supposed puppetmaster is found and blocked, but I was not satisfied. Can several rangeblocks be implemented or should I request protection first for the concerned articles that these users vandalized because I am equally concerned on them, even though I don't normally edit them. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 02:48, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

I've implimented a single range block that should cover these new users: 3 months on 124.104.16.0/21.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 04:25, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll be watching the concerned articles as well as the other articles vandalized to see a possible evasion and therefore a possible widening of the block. But for now until I find the evasion, that will do. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 04:36, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the drama site, the article is also concerned about the manga and to my knowledge the manga has no English adaptation and no official title. Why should the article continue to use that title? WhisperToMe (talk) 04:38, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Shinkenger Article= Water Arrow

Hey Ryulong, is there certainty that there is no real world equivalent as to the basis of ShinkenBlue's water arrow arsenal? Do you have any suspicions or clues on what it might be? Power Rangers: R.P.M.

Due to the fact that various editors have been adding information with unreliable sources to that article, I have requested page protection on that article at WP:RFPP. Just so you know. Thanks!. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 08:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Unnecessary, IMO.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:33, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Why? Me, as well as you have been dealing with these editors by warning them not to use such sources, and editors continue to cite such sources. I also notice that you just blocked User:Don-Don for using unreliable sources as references. Users like that shouldn't be tolerated. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 08:37, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
I've put a suitable warning in the page now.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
And I have just put a more detailed one on the page. But I still do hope that the page will be fully protected for a period of time as the senseless disruption has continued day after day after day. I can take not being able that page for a few days just to stop disruption. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 08:53, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
A full protection is not going to be useful when actual reliable sources come out (TV Guide).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 08:57, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
If the page is protected and if editors want to cite TV Guide, then I'd say start a discussion about their proposed additions. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 09:00, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
I simply find it unnecessary at the moment. There are only a handful of users adding this information, and they've been warned or blocked.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 09:02, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
There's no need to tolerate the disruption. If I were an administrator, I'd seriously be trying to stop such disruption. Besides your edits, most of the other edits have been disruption. There's no need to keep the page open to non-admins for the time being. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 09:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
It's something we can do without having to protect the page. And the activity isn't that high. If any of the editors who have not been blocked, or if new editors show up, and make the same changes, then I will protect the page. However, if the RFPP request is accepted, I will not unprotect the page, or edit it, unless discussion on the talk page results in requests for changes.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 10:21, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
The page protection request has been denied if you look at the page. But if there is more significatntly more disruption, then as suggested by the declining admin, I'll relist the page. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 14:19, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Sourcing on various articles

Why can't you accept the fact that articles shouldn't have unsourced information? WP:V directly applies to unsourced information, believe it or not. You have continuously been reverting any removals of unsourced information that I make. The information needs to be sourced. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 22:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually, the last thing I did was try to undo your removal of the Kamen Rider templae from the Masked Rider (TV series) page,a nd found that the unsourced information you also removed was inconsequential. You INSTEAD could find a source for the information.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:25, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
If I do not find a source, then it will be re-removed. Any re-insertions will be treated as non-WP:V compliant until a source is found. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 22:29, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Did you look at websites where they sell DVDs?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:36, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Nope. But I'll look for sources later on. Also, websites that sell things are not counted as reliable sources. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 22:40, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes they are. They tell you when something is out as a third party source and tell you what is involved with the particular item. I use them to show that a particular soundtrack comes out or specific songs are on said soundtrack.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 22:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
No, they aren't reliable as they sell the products in their stores therefore making them a primary source. —Mythdon (talkcontribs) 23:43, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

ANI

(Reply from my talk)

Hmmm, I think it is the people that are overly involved in the history of the complaints that cause all the wikidrama there. I comment on what i find on the articles and talk pages, and always avoid personal comments, which is why there has never been an ANI report about me. Aren't noticeboards there specifically to gauge reaction from uninvolved editors? But thanks for the advice - was there a particular comment you thought out of place? Advising people to discuss and seek consensus at less combatative places than ANI is mostly what i aim for.Yobmod (talk) 09:19, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
Ah, i guess you didn't like me asking about copyvios? Was anything i said actually wrong? I've been told quite firmly that linking to copyright violating images is not allowed, so i don't see how doing so from commons would be different. (Except maybe worse, as we allow direct linking). I'm afraid i rarely see asking for clarification as "getting in over my head" - it was not a rhetorical question, i was asking if anyone actually knew the legal status.
But thanks again - i am thinking of trying for admin one day, so i appreciate any pointers :-).Yobmod (talk) 09:55, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Fractyl (talk) 20:42, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

We'll get all this information this weekend when the second episode airs. Also, this format is better because there are going to be several Origami that will probably combine in multiple ways. In fact, I think we should change the format of the Gekiranger article to be like the Go-onger article (and maybe fix the Boukenger article while we're at it).—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:54, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
But don't know if it'll work like that, since we're not dealing with fully sentient mecha like in Go-onger, Abaranger, and Gaoranger where you have multiple combinations a plently. Besides, I don't think it would work like that, the Daitenku and its components function more like the Legendary GekiBeasts of Gekiranger in providing powerups. Hello, I apologise for my ignorance, but what are the "Worldwide Man-Rock" charts? A Google search shows only the article [4] for Hot Leg, and a sole mirror of its content. I do not doubt the chart's existence, but is this information notable (the charts themselves appear to have no article)? Unless, of course, you've abbreviated it from something far more common. Possible sockpuppetry

Could you please take a look at talk:Tang_Dynasty? There is something quite odd going on with racist comments being posted by various users such as User:Dentisn and several anon IPs that remind me of a blocked user by the name of User:RestoreTheEmpireSociety. The give away is the fact that both User:Dentisn and User:RestoreTheEmpireSociety posted material invoking Nazi themes. Lobbyist911 (talk) 11:39, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

For your reference, here is just one of the checkuser cases that mentioned User:RestoreTheEmpireSociety; I found it simply by using Wikipedia search: Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Julius_Ceasarus_From_Primus Some of the named user accounts have also been associated with some IP addresses.
