Hello. You don't appear to have bothered to pay attention to the upload page when you added your images, as it seems that most of them are violations of somebody else's copyright. Please detail the source of each of them on their image description pages, and give them an image copyright tag. If they are copyvios, please report them as such or you'll be creating a lot of unnecessary work for people. Cheers. — Trilobite (Talk) 04:20, 3 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Klingon-d.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Klingon-d.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Notability of Teesdale School

edit

A tag has been placed on Teesdale School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. — Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 20:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Bristol City Council Elections, 2009

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Bristol City Council Elections, 2009, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Not enough information to be useful, about something in the future and I don't think we normally list council elections anyway

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. edit

Hi this is Steve Virgin from the Board of Wikimedia UK

I am a fellow Bristolian

We have a Wikimedia Conference in town this weekend

We were getting some of the Bristol Project Wikipedians together at the Watershed on Saturday night for a Wiki Meet at around 6.30pm.

This is a good opportunity to meet people from the national Chapter, other Chapters from around the world and from the Wikimedia Foundation. There is a bar tab to help proceedings and we would be very keen to see you there.

RSVP - let me know if you are able to come and feel free to invite any other local Wikipedians in Bristol

Hi. When you recently edited 2010 United Kingdom general election results in Bristol, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stephen Williams (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
