Out of curiosity, what is the present status of the Wikipedia chapter in Pakistan? Are we a recognised group yet as per the listings at List of Wikimedia chapters? If not, what is the process. Speedy deletion nomination of Furqan Shayk
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Furqan Shayk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. New Page Review - newsletter (November 2016)
- Breaking the back of the backlog
If each reviewer does only 10 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
Let's get that over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.
- Second set of eyes
Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work. Read about it at the new Monitoring the system section in the tutorial.

Have you read the above mentioned article? Don't you think we should do something about it? I'm new to this editing stuff. I don't understand why i can't get it deleted. - Saqib, I think, you need to read the policies carefully. You tag unnecessary and illegitimate BLP and COI tags to the well-sourced articles, and other, you also removing the cited sources rather templating that as the dead link. I hope this helps, and you will stop such practice since it is not a way to edit the Wikipedia.Justice007 (talk) 18:29, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- You are an admin on the Wiki-voyage too. You should know that tagging on the lead means you challenge the entire article, whereas, some passages need just template citation needed. Similarly, COI, if someone seems continuously adding promotional content, while other editors disagree, in this case, it exhibits COI. As an admin, you have more responsibilities than just an editor. I hope, you will not misuse your tool privilege. Thanks. Justice007 (talk) 21:00, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- User:Justice007: Regarding the dead links, you need to read "Remove hopelessly lost web-only sources" section. Now back to bio pages that I tagged and you reverted, please avoid removing my tags and instead start discussion on the talk page. There're numerous questionable references cited on both Javed Malik and Haider Qureshi page which I would not like to see at any case. Not to mention, there are plenty of unreliable references cited on page [redacted] as well and I will for sure fix at some time later. Also please avoid editing this particular Wikipedia page, you know it is strongly discouraged to edit a page you're connected to. Javed Malik or his staff members have been editing his own page lately so there is no doubt that his article clearly exhibits COI. For you kind information, I'm a responsible volunteers with no intention to be biased here on Wikipedia and I am pretty sure I'm not misusing my tools in a wrong way but If you think I do, I would suggest you to report it. And as long I will see biased promotional stuff lingering here on this site, I will keep reverting it. Thank you! --Saqib (talk) 06:26, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

- Your reply reflects the lack of neutrality; you cannot tag each article that just you think it falls under COI. You breach the rule, to discuss my identity, I have the right to edit that within neutrality. it means you are here for some purposes. I notice that you are targeting the specific articles, first removing cited sources, and later on the content. About cited sources rule also describes that "Dead links should be repaired or replaced if possible. Do not delete a citation merely because the URL is not working. Follow these steps when you encounter a dead URL being used as a reliable source to support article content." Surely, you will be reported if you continue unconstructive edits to spoil the articles that are well-sourced.Justice007 (talk) 06:53, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- User:Justice007: I'm very much neutral here. I'm not merely tagging the articles just because I think they fall under COI. I want you to look at the references cited on those pages we talking about. And no breach of rules here. [more redacted]. But I'm not here to discuss that. But I would like to warn you to please avoid saying "you are here for some purposes". Its called a personal attack and Harassment. Please don't comments in bad faith and be civil. Your comments that "I am targeting the specific articles, first removing cited sources, and later on the content." are not justified. Please assume good faith. Honestly I'm here to improve bio pages related to Pakistani personalities and I've done so many. I tried to repair the dead links but unfortunately, I couldn't found the material elsewhere on web. --Saqib (talk) 07:09, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

- User:Justice007: Its hilarious to hear that you think that cited sources that I raised concern about are reliable and should be kept. You need to take a look at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources. Who told you that The News Tribe, Pakistan Times is a well-established news outlet? Who told you to cite "YouTube" video as a reference ? And who told you that non-third party sources such as "the Diplomat Magazine" which is run by Javed Malik himself would make a great reference for his own bio page? --Saqib (talk) 08:29, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Just FYI about a useful tool
Under the WP:TPG it iss a bad idea to tweak other people's comments without a very good reason. In the case of references, a better way to make sense of a thread where others used reference formatting is to just add Template:Reflist-talk to the thread. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 14:05, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
Refs for this section
Sometimes I also add a subsection within the thread (like this one), and put reflist-talk tag in that subsection. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 14:05, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- NewsAndEventsGuy: Thank you for letting me know of Template:Reflist-talk. --Saqib (talk) 14:09, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
You have removed a large amount of sourced content from the above BLP. With these edits, you removed content, which was supported by sources like this one (from Arab News), this one (from Associated Press of Pakistan), this one (from Dawn), this one (from The News International), this one & this one (both from Daily Times (Pakistan)), etc. Please avoid edits like those ones. BTW, I must admit that most of the reliable sources, which you removed were dead links. But link rot isn't the reason to remove sources. So, in future, please first try to find archive versions of the sources at sites like Internet Archive & archive.is. If you cannot find any archive version there, then just tag those sources with {{Dead link}} – for details, visit WP:LR. Thanks.
PS: WP:LR states that "do not delete cited information solely because the URL to the source does not work any longer. Verifiability does not require that all information be supported by a working link, nor does it require the source to be published online.
" - NitinMlk (talk) 14:34, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
- NitinMlk: My bad. Honestly, I couldn't find the archived versions of these dead links. I wish had I founded them earlier and no mess created. Anyways, now I've began to expand the article based on provided sources. Thank you. --Saqib (talk) 14:57, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

I see you created new pages for the new federal ministries...
I updated the page List of federal agencies of Pakistan with them. Since the websites of the ministries haven't yet been updated, I guessed and updated what agencies are likely to be placed under them. You can update your pages with that information if you like. Instead of removing unsourced content from Aamir Liaquat, you should be finding and adding reliable sources. After your edits, his TV career is in ugly shape. - Mfarazbaig —Preceding undated comment added 12:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

- User:Mfarazbaig: We don't need to add [citation needed] tags anymore when we already have a large 'BLP source' tag on top of the page. I guess its time to be bold and clean up the page to remove the unsourced and inaccurate material. --Saqib (talk) 13:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi Saqib! Sorry, I couldn't edit the page for a long time, but he have not left the channel, as there was no official announcement. He earlier told on 13 August on his (last appearance) show that he will be going to Supreme Court (of Islamabad, but he lives in Khi and his show is also recorded from Khi) to file a case against filming of Indian content in Pakistan. Then he went Dubai to launch a branch of his business. It could also be possible that he is working on his film, as revealed in January 2016, also on 13 Auguat 2017 by himself. And today, it is reported that he will be seen in tonight's show on Bol TV as regular. Since, there was no official statements on it, people (I think) started making the guess-news after they saw a masked-voiceover in his show and actor Nabeel in game show. Therefore, any updates that were done during this time period can be reverted, and page can be made as was before. Thanks! :) M. Billoo 16:16, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Saqib, you opened this review over a month ago, but only wrote a few words, which leads me to believe that you are not prepared to do a full GA review based on the GA criteria or per the GA instructions. (Reviews should typically be completed within a week.)
Also, one of things you said was not only inaccurate, but it isn't properly a GA criterion: you say there are too many red links when there aren't any in the article, and red links are typically irrelevant to whether an article is a Good Article or not.
If you are not prepared to do a full GA review now, I can arrange for the nomination to be returned to pool of unreviewed nominations for someone else to pick up on. Please let me know as soon as possible; if I do not hear from you soon I will assume that I should arrange for that return. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:28, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset:: I had just thrown in my 2 cents in the review. I let you arrange a new reviewer for the page. --Saqib (talk) 07:59, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, Saqib. The thing is, when you open a review, it's supposed to be a commitment to do a complete review, not just make a comment or two. In future, simply comment on the article's talk page, or wait for someone else to open the review and comment then. As it stands, I'm going to have to have the page deleted as part of the return to the reviewing pool; no one will take over the review from you. BlueMoonset (talk) 08:07, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed that you attempted to file a deletion discussion on the article Rehmat Aziz Chitrali but did not complete the process. Please note that, when listing an article for deletion, a discussion page needs to be made for other users to discuss whether to keep or delete the article. This is typically done by following the steps listed here. Note that if you are editing as an unregistered user, you cannot create a discussion page. Please consider registering an account or asking another user to help you complete the process at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. Thank you. ansh666 05:44, 20 April 2017 (UTC)

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Help Understand Notability
Hi Saqib,
I had heard about wikipedia's rigorous scrutiny but didn't realize that it was this brutal. I am new & I honestly have a steep learning curve to go through. You're a senior and I would really appreciate your help in learning how I got here where my article is up for deletion & how can I get out of this situation. My page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zunera is marked for deletion because of notability. I was very careful when choosing to write about her
she is featured on CNN three times.
Editorial CNN Editorial Featured guest on CNN Zunera as featured guest on CNN 1 Zunera as featured guest on CNN 2
ABC News Twice ABC News Appearance 1 ABC News appearance 2
Express Tribune (Sister Publication of New York Times) Express Tribune Article
Sunday Magazine Sunday Magazine Interview
These are mainstream media publications of two very big countries US & Pakistan- how much more notable can one get than that? Kindly help me incorporate this information so that the notability issue is resolved & we can save this page from deletion.Thecapital15 (talk) 06:45, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Response your email
Apparently the sockpuppet category was created now based on the sockpuppet template on User talk:69.248.91.135, in response to some edits made in 2006. The original sockpuppet user is now called. User:Saqib (usurped)~enwiki because you took their name. If you usurp someone's username then such confusions are to be expected.

Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.

- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through

I'm almost certain the editor there (who I unfortunately have come to have known over the past few months) will revert my edits without any reason. The Overseas Pakistani article (which I also edited significantly 2 months ago) was also in the cross hairs of this particular editor who I will not name. Kindly let me know if my edits are acceptable. I have no problems with the template being edited again, but to revert the template to the previous one (which was extremely bad) would be criminal. I have also started a section in the talk page of the template article where I have given my reasons for editing. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 05:09, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Underground Musicians/Singers of Pakistan
Hi Saqib, I created this profile for making Wikipedia pages of some underground musicans of Pakistan who are famous in small audience and doing good work under less resources and exposure. Please help me in making their pages and please remove your deletion request on Talha Nadeem's page as this is my first page. SPI notifications
Hi Saqib, thank you for your vigilance regarding reporting socks at SPI. One minor quibble, however, is that it is often preferable not to notify prolific socks that you have opened a new case (such as with Pakistanpedia). Although they are likely watching the SPI page, posting to their talk gives them a "heads up" that a block is likely imminent and a head start on creating new accounts (or becoming even more destructive) before a checkuser or admin can block the sock account. This is why notifying the sock/master is not listed as a requirement in the instructions. If the connection is tenuous between the accounts, or if the suspected sock is a trusted user, notifying them of the case is a good idea, though again there is no point in notifying the master account if it is an indefinitely blocked LTA master.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:39, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Noted @Ponyo:. By the way, I want to draw your attention towards Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ptcloof khan. The suspected account User:SahabAliwadia has been blocked already for some other reason so should the SPI be closed? --Saqib (talk) 06:07, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- I would leave it open until the Clerks can evaluate the evidence. If it's endorsed for Checkuser and they are found to be socking, the block may be modified.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:07, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Saqib! Congratulations on updating BLP of our prime minister to good article level. Good work!
- I have something to say, maybe you have noted too. I think there is repetition of references, and some references are ordered wrongly. Like for example, "Early life and education"; 15 references only are inserted 29 times, with one non-ascending order like [11][4][2]. Can I check out there a little? Thanks! M. Billoo 19:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
- Sure @M.Billoo2000:. Go ahead and fix it but please make sure you don't remove any reference. --Saqib (talk) 07:42, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: I have seen you edits but sad to relate that I am not satisfied with removal of mass citations. Many information that was previously well cited now giving the impression of original research. In my opinion, we should revert back to its earlier version to avoid getting it tagged with [citation needed]. --Saqib (talk) 07:54, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi! It's OK if you think that I removed mass, you can re-add if you wish. Just recently, I had messaged on Talk:Don't Say You Love Me (M2M song)#Featured article? about same matter, and I got one reply too. One more thing, what is meant by reflist|30em? Thanks! M. Billoo 15:07, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: I have same concerns which BLZ raised therefore I am going to hard revert your edits but I believe this would in the best interest of the article. I don't think the article is over referenced and reference sequence should be followed. It is very important to provide multiple references (when and if available) to backup the information which is controversial and could to be challenged at some time later. I hope my reverts won't deter you from improving the article. As for "reflist|30em", we usually use it when we have several references. --Saqib (talk) 16:31, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi once again! Above I said, ""Early life and education"; 15 references only are inserted 29 times, with one non-ascending order like [11][4][2]." which I have solved after you said, "Go ahead and fix it". Sadly after revert, this problem hasn't been fixed yet. One more thing I said, "URL=NYTIMES AND ARCHIVEURL=DAWN?? […and more…]", and this is still unfixed. Also some news outlets under the "References" sections fail MOS:ITALIC. I am afraid you warned another editor for making Fawad Khan a GA, but does this article too qualifies for being a GA? Well, I am really junior on this, please check. Thanks! M. Billoo 12:50, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: In my opinion, this BLP doesn't falls under WP:TOOMANYREFS but anyways I will work on it and try to minimize usage of references. And thanks for getting my attention towards the wrong references being archived. I archived the references using a tool so I assume it has made errors. As for italicization the name of publications, I will do that as well. I believe they are not many. In Spite of all these issues, the article meets the six good article criteria which Fawad Khan's page doesn't. --Saqib (talk) 13:23, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: I thought of letting you know that I have made changes to the article as suggested by you. see and let me know your thoughts. --Saqib (talk) 14:33, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi! Please check my last edit. I don't know why section name comes in edit summary to cut off the limited characters of it.
- I have checked, some of The News are still not italic there.
- Please tag the page with either Template:Use dmy dates, to make the date formats same, so that the |df= parameters can be removed from the references.
- I think that saying |language=en is useless, it doesn't appear ob screen.
- Using |author={{Nq|}}|title={{Nq|}}|language=ur parameters instead of |title=|first=|last= in Urdu references is good, because in Urdu we don't break names into "last, first".
- Dawn.com |url= can be shortened only to their page numbers, they are as valid as repeating |title= in |url=; and same in their |archiveurl=.
- One more thing, what is the use of |ref= parameter if already "ref name=" is given, I think either of this is repeated and one can be removed.
- Also, I think using |website= parameter (or like in ref#1 is written |work=www.thenews.com.pk) is good if all the references are like that. But as in this case, all should be same into either "|publisher=not italic" or "|work=newspaper italic".
- In last, I have same complain. Please reduce the number of repeats in "Early life and education";
- 15 references are given 29 times which appear (at least to me) as too many in three small paragraphs.
- "Electrical Engineer"(ing) is still written 4 times, which appears repeated. It can be written, for example, as,
He studied to be an electrical engineer. He received his bachelors degree (B.eng) from ABC, after which he started his career. He became a professional engineer after receiving his masters degree (M.eng) from XYZ in Electrical Engineering.
Please check, Thanks! M. Billoo 13:44, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: I have made some quick changes. More later. --Saqib (talk) 14:35, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi! I want to share some more points.
- "Abbasi belongs to a family[18]…" Is this necessary to cite this part of sentence?
- While editing for my earlier message, I changed a DAWN link http --> https, which I noticed later. This happened again today on HuffPost (The Huffington Post) link, though it also changed into mobile version.
- Template:PKRconvert that is used in Wikipedia is too outdated, it cannot be used to identify the current PKR-US$ amount that varies. It may have changed a lot now since the template was last updated, and since the news was published. I think we should simplify them. Or 'if' we see references, is there conversion used of PKR-US$? Or if not, then either of the amount is unsourced.
- Some refs, that I saw, have |date= parameter missing, more commonly in The Nation refs.
- How to use bots/tools in wiki? Like, for correcting the date formats in the whole page. Also for correcting some unicode/invisible heavy-byte symbols. And like I saw you using #IABot for rescuing refs.
The overall code of page is too large that I don't want to open it in one attempt to avoid mistakes. That's why I prefer editing section-by-section. However, if the whole code is copied to Word.doc software, all the unnecessary cite news parameters like "|df=", "|language=en", and similar other things can be removed out by Ctrl+F / Ctrl+H. Thanks! M. Billoo 23:48, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi! I was just looking at the page.
- While you were merging, the heading Shahid Khaqan Abbasi#Family and personal life you gave two times; can the main heading be changed only to "#Personal life"? Like, for your talk page, #Your GA nomination of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is twice.
- Is ref#113: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi sworn in as 18th prime minister necessary? This may misguide readers for 18th or 28th. There are about 9 references given in the page with same date, 1 August 2017, and they may verify the same. Isn't this citekill, just asking?
- Date? Still some references are missing the |date= parameter, like ref#110, ref#152, ref#113; see also ref#104 for date format.
- In ref#107, can Hamid Mir be linked? Or why is he not written like "|first=Hamid|last=Mir" like many other ref authors (or I prefer "|author=") are mentioned. There might be some other notables too having a wikibio.
- You removed PKRconvert after my message. Just asking, why didn't you replace them with Template:PKR instead of writing ₨ manually?
- Now, same complain, you recently added ref#5: PM Abbasi celebrates his 59th birthday with simplicity, making the number of refs in the same section as 16 with repeats as 29. Like, if you see the "#Cabinet formation" which is larger in length as compared to that, it only has 28 times refs given. Why a short section is too much cited, as it appears too much numbered? I mean that level of repetition is nowhere throughout the page, except for that one only.
- If you see the code of this message of mine, you may notice something that I also noted recently. Many |url= can be shortened, this all will take a lot of time, well maybe joking. But some links having news numbers or date are OK to trim. Like
- ref#15: Profile of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi: Pakistan's interim prime minister
- ref#31: Abbasi at the helm (title?)
- ref#50: 26 member Cabinet to take oath today (difficult?)
- ref#55: شاہد خاقان عباسی ن لیگ کے سینئر ر ہنما، 6 مرتبہ رکن قومی اسمبلی منتخب ہوئے
- ref#110: Shahid Khaqan Abbassi elected as interim PM
- ref#152: Power outages again
- ref#155: Merger of power, petroleum ministries likely to lead to merger of OGRA, NEPRA
I haven't checked the page completely, but please you check and update, Thanks! M. Billoo 17:38, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: The page is still under development as evident from the history of the page, though I have made some changes as you suggested. There is nothing like Citation overkill in this bio. This is a BLP of a high profile politician and therefore all repetitive references are there for the sake of verifiability. Once I am done with the expansion, I will try to address rest of your concerns. Thank you. --Saqib (talk) 09:19, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

Hi there, re: this, per your edit summary, there is no prohibition on citations in the lead, and in some cases references are very helpful not only for supporting controversial content, but also for helping editors quickly spot vandalism. I don't particularly care about the citations being removed in your edit--they're not particularly necessary in this case--but this note is meant to ask that you please not remove citations as a knee-jerk reaction, since they do have value. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:08, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Cyphoidbomb: I am aware that controversial information in the lead that is likely to be challenged should be supported by an inline citations, however in this case, there was no controversial information in the lead therefore I removed the source. I trust no harm done in this case but anyways thanks for the note. . --Saqib (talk) 19:24, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

It's good that you have removed some references because of Non-RS, but Non-RS can sometimes be used to support television-related articles. Aamir Liaquat Crorepati Game Show
Hi! If [2] and [3] are not WP:RS, then what kind of sources should be added? I am always confused while treating a ref as reliable. The show is on-air since last Saturday, but no big news outlet reported it. These refs are not talking by themselves, they have linked the officials too as to verify what they have said. Can official website be added? And are these not big outlets?
Atleast, these sources (like Brandsynario, Mangobaaz etc.) not talk lie, they always--- or mostly prove by officials what they say. I haven't seen any mistake by them, that are sometimes done by Dawn and The Express Tribune. Please help, Thanks! M. Billoo 14:50, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: when it comes to citing references on the BLP's, I would advise you to be extra careful and not use questionable sources like Mangobaaz and Brandsynario. Both may have editorial oversight but for sure poor reputation for checking the facts and accuracy. No matter how popular these two sources are but keep in mind both of these rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions therefore I would never use them in the BLPs. I believe both of these are sensationalist and gossip-driven news sites, just like Daily Mail which we avoid using as well. I suggest you to see Wikipedia:Potentially unreliable sources. --Saqib (talk) 16:23, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! And you gave a good example of Daily Mail. If talking about BLP, does official interview with these references work? For example, Aamir Liaquat's interview to Brandsynario, Ali Zafar's to Brandsynario and NewsLine Magazine. M. Billoo 16:46, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: See Wikipedia:Interviews. I think credibility of interviewer and source matters. I have no problem using interviews published in the Newsline but I would never use interviews done by Brandsynario. Likewise never use interviews to cite controversial claims and information that could be challenged. --Saqib (talk) 14:18, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi! Do you know about recent knife attacks in Karachi? It is so much in news, I thought it should have been included on wikipedia. I started a draft on the topic. Though, every info I added there is verified by the references, but I am confused on how to arrange them; or say which reference can be cited to which paragraph. I think instead of removing anything from there, it could be improved into new wordings. This is my first try on contributing for recent crime-related-news articles, so that's why I am weak on it. Therefore, I need some help there to avoid WP:C-P and WP:OR, so that it could be moved to mainspace. Hope for your kind response and help on the draft/article, Thanks! M. Billoo 22:53, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
- @M.Billoo2000: I won't be able to help much as I am pretty busy off-wiki, however here are my two cents; at a quick glance, the article reads like a news story to me. It contains Too much detail. You should merge "attack" and "police report" sections" and remove unnecessary quotations like those of Dr. Zaeem, DSP Shaukat Ali, SHO Zulfiqar Haider etc. "Reactions" section is too long in my opinion and needs to be trimmed down. I don't see a good reason to note down quotations and reaction of each and every politician. --Saqib (talk) 10:06, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
Abdul Razak Dawood
Saqib, first you deserve credit for creating this article on 21 January 2017. All I did yesterday was to try to expand it a little bit with a reference to a recognized solid business news website Bloomberg.com. I am trying to be courteous to you, rather than revert you as you did to me, and first ask you a question on your Talk page here. I am just curious as to why you removed some of my added lines when they are clearly backed up by Bloomberg.com website. For example, Bloomberg.com website says that he is a "Director of Pakistan Business Council from 2013 – present" and also the Chairman of Descon Limited. In case you were in a hurry and did not click on the Bloomberg.com website link 'Read Full Background' given below the 'Partial Profile Background' shown on their website, then you apparently missed seeing those extra lines that I am talking about? By the way, I do remember you fixing one of my Dawn (newspaper) links for me couple of months ago and I did appreciate your help (it was my fault and all of us make mistakes occasionally). I am just asking you to take another look at Bloomberg.com website's Profile of Abdul Razak Dawood. Thanks Ngrewal1 (talk) 17:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Ngrewal1: I really appreciate you taking the time to write me. It was mistake on my part and I instate the material that I removed. --Saqib (talk) 15:42, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Moonis Elahi
Dear Saqib, you are editing the page very often but you are providing absolutely wrong information.
For example, you edit that "In 2011, Elahi was accused of corruption of Rs 320 million during his father's tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab.[2]".
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was Chief Minister of Punjab from 2002 to 2007. Moonis Elahi was politically victimized and he voluntarily faced the trial and acquited by the honorable court.
Waiting for your reply of the said issue. The information which you have posted on the page is wrong. Please correct it. Kindly address this issue and don't spread the wrong information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muhamamd Aziz Saeed (talk • contribs) 13:10, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

- @Saqib: Would you say that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was Chief Minister of Punjab in 2011? He was Chief Minister between 2002 to 2007 and he has nothing to do with NICL Scam. Moonis Elahi was only political victimized in this case. You must research well. --Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: No. The article doesn't contain wrong information and is not biased in any way. --Saqib (talk) 17:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

- @Saqib: You are not talking and you have not removed the wrong information from the page. So now I have no other option but to report you to administrator. Please comply with the WIKIPEDIA rules.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: The page doesn't says that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was the Chief Minister of Punjab in 2011. Moonis Elahi was involved in NICL scandal as per this Dawn piece therefore the information will stay and won't be removed from the page. I suggest you to not remove the information from the page or you risk yourself being blocked. --Saqib (talk) 07:04, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: Your recent edit of the page has proved that you are making it a biased page. Would you tell me what was wrong in my edit which you have reverted? Don't make it personal.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: You are engaging in copyright violation by copy pasting the information and that's why I am reverting your edits. --Saqib (talk) 12:15, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: You once again deleted the informaton which I have posted. My information was from the same source which you are using. Your editing is proving that you are doing it purposely. You are not allowing me to add any thing on the page. My all information is based on a source and you should stop delelting my information.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Saqib: You are deleting the information which is authentic and from the reliable sources. You are doing it purposely and it is unethical and wrong. You are showing the one side of the picture and not allowing me to show the other and correct side of the picture.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: The article already says He was later acquitted in 2011 due to lack of evidence. so I don't guess why would you add a judge's remarks. I have added statement by Elahi's father. I hope you're satisfied now. I suggest you to avoid copyvio in your future edits. --Saqib (talk) 14:53, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: NICL scam has no link with Moonis Elahi's father's tenure as a Chief Misniter. NICL happened in 2011 and his father tenure of Chief Misniter of Punjab was from (2002 to 2007).You must research it well and you must remove these words from there.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: No. I am not going to remove critical information as you suggest. The information is valid and will stay on the page. --Saqib (talk) 13:46, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

- @Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: why don't you stop citing unreliable sources? --Saqib (talk) 07:38, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: You must mention which citing is from unreliable sources. I have used the text from the cition which you have used but you still deleted it. For a proof you can check the history of my updates. I am not deleting your text I am just trying to elobrate more the topic for the better understanding of the reader. Let's make it fair. Thanks Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
- @Saqib: You did it again. You have removed the whole section which I have created. All material in this section was verfiried and was posted with citation. Any comments? Muhamamd Aziz Saeed

Hey Saqib! I'm from Pakistan and currently working of Pakistan sports stubs as I am also a sportsman. Would like work with you as its hard for me to do it frequently with my 9 hours job schedule. Hamid Mir
Hamid Mir article is full of biased, unverified material etc. I am trying to remove some of the unverified content. You can get details on this article from its talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Hamid_Mir. Do you have reference of statements which I have removed. --Spasage (talk) 05:29, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Spasage: This BLP obviously need attention but you cannot remove sourced material. For instance, this. --Saqib (talk) 05:46, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: Please do not keep on reverting back. This claim of being most popular can not be even verified in washingtonpost. So, I am not sure why we need to put this statement considering this article is full of biased material, which concerns me more. --Spasage (talk) 06:02, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Spasage: I think you should carefully read this article by Washington Post before taking any further step. The article reads "In 2002, he joined Geo, the up-and-coming television station. His popularity soared as Geo grew into one of the most-watched networks in the country. Presidents, ambassadors and ministers sought to be on Mir’s “Capital Talk,” a four-nights-a-week news talk show that mixed traditional reporting with opinion." Your recent editing history at Hamid Mir shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - @NeilN: Noted, however I am just trying to revert the deletion of properly sourced material. --Saqib (talk) 06:09, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- @NeilN: Hamid Mir is full of biased and unreliable material. I was trying to clean this article and user Saqib is not allowing me to do so. If you just read Hamid Mir talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Hamid_Mir, you can see how bad this article is. I am just trying to improve quality of this article. I also explained this on his talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Saqib#Hamid_Mir. - @Spasage: I don't think the BLP is biased. It contains full fledged "Criticism" section, though I agree the page needs attention and you're welcome to improve it however I suggest you to not remove information outright which is duly sourced via inline citations. --Saqib (talk) 06:20, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: What I removed was un-sourced and can not be verified. --Spasage (talk) 06:23, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

Chaudhry Moonis Elahi
Hi Saqib, you have reverted my first edit of Moonis Elahi and it is not a good beginning. You removed my content because you think it is "already mentioned". Would you please show me that where it is written that Moonis Elahi stood for two constituencies and won the both? Don't you think that winning from two constituencies is an achievement? Plz edit it or allow me. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:21, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
On the page of Moonis Elahi please refer to the lines "He was declared a proclaimed offender for failure to appear before the investigation committee and as a result he was arrested and jailed". The impression to the reader from these lines may be misleading as they omit some vital on ground facts. The two facts to be borne in mind & worthy of mention here are that on Feb 23, 2011 the Additional District & Sessions Judge had set aside the earlier magisterial orders declaring Moonis Elahi as a proclaimed offender and that the FIA did not arrest Moonis Elahi, as he had assured to produce himself for an arrest. Please refer to the following news links. [1] [2] [3] I am ready to provide more news links or any other sources you needed. Please consider my request. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)

- @ShakirShah: I wouldn't want to go into too much detail per WP:BLOATED. --Saqib (talk) 14:17, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: It is not too much details. It is necessary to mention the facts. It looks WP:BIASED and incomplete. I request you to add the suggested material to complete the story. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
- @ShakirShah: Per this and this Elahi was arrested in March 2011 following the dismissal of his bail. --Saqib (talk) 15:06, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: It says following "Mooni Elahi presented himself for arrest to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after rejection of his bail petition by the Lahore High Court (LHC) in NICL corruption case on Thursday, Geo News reported.Earlier today, Moonis Elahi, after hearing of the case at LHC, sought permission and went home. Later, he arrived at FIA’s office along with some workers of his party and presented himself for arrest."[4] and "Police did not arrest him after rejection of the bail petition and Moonis left the court along with workers of his party. About two hours later, he reached FIA's Punjab headquarters on Temple Road and surrendered himself." [5]. He surrender himself and was not arrested. At the time of his surrender talking to media, Moonis Elahi said: “It is not like him to run away and that he would face everyone.” Would you check these comments and links? Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
- @ShakirShah: I will look into this. On a side note, the disruptive behaviour of your fellow Aziz Saeed has led the page of Elahi to be locked down. --Saqib (talk) 15:56, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Saqib: Cпасибо. I have no concern with the edits of the said user done. I am responsible for my edits only and I think that facts should be right. Why you protected the page? User:ShakirShah (talk)
- @Saqib: This article also says that Moonis Elahi declared "Proclaimed Offender". It is also not a correct information. The true fact is that at that time he was not in Pakistan. [1] However, on February 23, 2011 this order was set aside by the Sessions Court, Lahore. [2] [3] [4]. Plz edit this information too. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
