Three-revert rule warning
- Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please correct your reports at ANI
Hello. While I agree with the content of your recent ANI reports, filing two different reports on the same issue is not helpful. Please combine them into one report. The issue is 100% the same, the last thing we need on ANI is double discussions. Cheers Jeppiz (talk) 10:28, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
Spelling of "grandaughter"
Hello, Seasider53. You reverted my update to Joseph Cerveau where I corrected the spelling of this word. So I checked three dictionaries (Oxford, Collins, and Macquarie) - not one of them lists the spelling you used. Can you cite a source for why you insist on the spelling "grandaughter" instead of the "granddaughter" or "grand daughter" which all of those dictionaries do recognize? Gronk Oz (talk) 23:30, 16 July 2023 (UTC)
- You’re ignoring the maintenance tag on the article, which is not good etiquette. Seasider53 (talk) 00:19, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed. But nor is it good etiquette to leave that tag in place for so long; it should only be used "for a short period of time, no greater than a few hours". Some people might ask whether the article was ready to publish in mainspace in that case, but let's stick to the point - that spelling is still wrong and I maintain the correction should stand. But you still have left the error there - is there a reason?--Gronk Oz (talk) 10:59, 17 July 2023 (UTC)
Interesting
Did you know this was a thing? I just came across it today, and recognised your name at #51. Now you're under pressure to keep it up... Girth Summit (blether) 15:49, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

- Eh? That was probably me misremembering the figure - I don't see how it could change in less than a day! I reckon they shouldn't have the bots listed - having a bot do your editing for you feels like cheating. I counted 23 bots above you're name, so by the power invested in my by myself, I officially name you #30. Girth Summit (blether) 18:54, 29 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'd like to thank the vandals of the world, since at least half of my daily edits are reversions. I don't think that makes a difference...? Seasider53 (talk) 22:23, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Portland, Maine
What is the issue with posting a nice pic of the downtown on the Portland, Maine page? I took the photo myself. Anyone anywhere can have it. Metrodogmedia (talk) 19:51, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Reliable sources
I have a genuine question. Is there a Wikipedia article that showcases a list of different news outlets or websites that are considered reliable and/or unreliable? That would be very beneficial as a source of reference. Also, thank you for informing me about that article about Rachel Grae in reference to popsugar.com. But why is it generally considered to be an unreliable source. That certain editor on this encyclopedia never went on to explain why... Bibliophile Dragon (talk) 19:56, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- See WP:NOT RELIABLE. Also, many perennial unreliable sources have shortcuts, such as WP:DAILYMAIL. Seasider53 (talk) 20:28, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
