Vembadi Girls’ High School

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Vembadi Girls’ High School, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://vembadi.org.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hello Shankar2001. First of all welcome to Wikipedia. I notice you have uploaded a number of images to Wikipedia. Please consider adding the images to Wikimedia Commons, Wikipedia's sister site which stores free media. Here are some other Jaffna related images from Wikimedia Commons. There is a shortage of images from the Jaffna region. If you have other images please consider adding them to Wikimedia Commons as well. Please contact me if you have any problems. Thanks.--obi2canibetalk contr 13:30, 15 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I will upload on Wikimedia Commons. If there are any problems, I will contact you.Shankar2001 (talk) 05:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

As you'll see if you read that page, the first step is to stay calm and peacefully try to talk about it with other editors, the IP being among them. Also keep in mind, IPs are allowed to edit Wikipedia. Gwen Gale (talk) 11:06, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Shankar, I feel you are too emotionally involved and that your reverts of the IP edits warrant admin intervention. This I reported your recent edits on 3RR Chartinael (talk) 11:29, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that would be fine, you use 3RR and report, once my account is blocked, you come and revert the your content with another anon IP address. Great Job!Shankar2001 (talk) 11:35, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Stop whining, no one says you are going to get blocked. I still have hope that addressing you will cause you to re-evaluate your interaction with other editors. BTW, I don't edit WP anonymously. It is really not good practice to question another editor's identity. Chartinael (talk) 11:40, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I am not eager of finding your real identity, but moving around too many anons and accounts at the same time to push something. Shankar2001 (talk) 11:45, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Listen Shankar, the edits are fine. You are way too involved. This is why you are unable to see that the edits are not as bad as you view them. You then go to accusing others of using several identities to push the edits you don't like instead of reconsidering them and maybe coming to the conclusion that they might not be what you think they are. Chartinael (talk) 11:48, 20 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Skandavarodaya College Logo.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Skandavarodaya College Logo.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89(T·C) 23:39, 22 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Kantharodai Tamil Kandaiya Vidyasalai

edit

The article Kantharodai Tamil Kandaiya Vidyasalai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails -WP:NSCHOOL, lacks any sources or references.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Professional Mourners

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Professional Mourners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://rajivawijesinha.wordpress.com/2010/10/23/introduction-to-readings-from-bridging-connections-at-the-dsc-south-asian-literature-festival-october-19th-2010/ and https://www.bartleby.com/essay/Spam-Professional-Moourners-By-Alagu-Subramaniam-FJJSPZUMKU. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Orphaned non-free image File:The Big Girl & Other Stories.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:The Big Girl & Other Stories.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:15, 21 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Notice of AC/DS concerning India/Pakistan

edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
