Please stop undiscussed moves

It should be clear by now that the names of these articles should not be changed without discussion. Your recent move of Dachau trials is contrary to WP:OFFICIAL, WP:COMMONNAME, and WP:CONSISTENT. Wallnot (talk) 20:18, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

You are misreading WP:RM. Moves can be made when there is reason to believe it won't be disputed. You are now disputing, so I'm happy to revert. I will continue to move pages when I have reason to believe it won't be disputed. I will also continue to revert when a dispute arises.
Please refrain from talking to me like I'm a child, and never post on my talk page again. Thanks. The proper place for this discussion is on the talk page of the article in question. — Shibbolethink ( ) 20:19, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
I don't see that Wallnot is talking to you like a child, they are just pointing out a mistake you made, citing the relevant policy. If you are going to ban everyone from your talk page who has a complaint about one of your actions, maybe a collaborative editing project is not for you. Every editor occasionally makes mistakes and bringing them to their attention so that they don't happen again is part of being an editor here. Liz Read! Talk! 01:15, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
If you are going to ban everyone from your talk page who has a complaint about one of your actions, maybe a collaborative editing project is not for you This is the first time I have ever done so, please don't suggest I am "ban[ning] everyone". You'll see above I am happy to take criticisms from users and do it on a regular basis.
As far as I know, it is mostly my business who I allow on my talk page. Please respect my privacy and my personal reasons.
As an aside, @Liz, You say above that I made a mistake. Which WP:PAG did I violate? Nothing in WP:RM prevents unilateral moves, granted they are likely to be uncontroversial, and are reverted when disputed. RMs are not mandatory, as CFDs are. I was moving a page to be where a prior move discussion on that page had decided to place it. In a way in which is entirely separate and distinct from any recent related move discussion, and involving an official name. If I'm regularly violating policy, I would absolutely like to know. Thanks — Shibbolethink ( ) 01:16, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
@Wallnot I want to apologize for overreacting, you were doing what you thought was right, and I took it the wrong way in the context of on our prior interactions.
I maintain that the move was in order, that your disputing it was also in order, as was my reversion. But I could have handled it better. You can feel free to post on my talk page.
But I would also say, I don't really think "it should be clear by now that the names of these articles should not be changed without discussion" was the best way to broach the topic, either. My overreaction was worse, but I'd ask you to be just the slightest bit more collegial. Thanks — Shibbolethink ( ) 01:56, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
Apology accepted. As you say, I could have been more collegial as well. Sorry for that. Wallnot (talk) 01:57, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
