Hello, I'm 2A00:23EE:2048:8306:E427:74FF:FE7E:FC59. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Hafize Gaye Erkan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. You should obey the rules of WP putting reliable sources for the biographies and use the correct parameters in infoboxes instead of reverting sourced edits. Egeymi (talk) 05:11, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

I will improve on my use of parameters. Thank you
please educate me on this topic, If multiple reliable sources mention an individual’s age coherently but not birth year, should we neglect them? Or we should use a source that conflicts all age benchmarks provided from others. TEB001 (talk) 05:48, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think you should train yourself reading all rules of WP.

You are saying "If multiple reliable sources mention an individual’s age coherently but not birth year, should we neglect them?", but ignoring the sources giving her birth year. So please be calm and before doing anything just read wp rules about biographies. Otherwise, you may come across some undesired results.--Egeymi (talk) 05:52, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Mustafa Hamarat Mugshot.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Mustafa Hamarat Mugshot.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of link is copyrighted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   Hello TEB001! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 11:46, 2 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ailish Campbell

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ailish Campbell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.weforum.org/people/ailish-campbell. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. Request reason:

Hello admins, whpq, Rosiestep, Ailish Campbell, An article I started(now deleted) and placed the under construction tag on it, a new article I am still working on my notepad. I do think it’s really too fast to block me on that regard for copyrighting. Please unblock my account as I only stated that "Ailish Johnson Campbell is the Ambassador of Canada to the European Union" and would be shocked that this statement is a copyright. Talk page clarification

edit

Hello PhilKnight, the whpq’s warning on my talk page and other copyright issues are all related Wikimedia uploads which I have drastically improved on, see, I do not fail to take corrections. You can see all pages I started or contributed to as well. See my next upload on Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) infobox after the correction. Thanks for the review. TEB001 (talk) 14:18, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

That is false: my warning was related to the unambiguous copying of https://www.weforum.org/people/ailish-campbell at the now deleted Ailish Campbell. Admins can verify that this content was completely copied from that website. Schminnte (talk contribs) 14:58, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Schminnte, In good fate, what is false in my statement? "Ailish Johnson Campbell is the Ambassador of Canada to the European Union" is the only sentence on the already deleted page which you marked and was speedily deleted. Other copyright violations on my talk page are wikimedia uploads only. I rightly tagged whpq to bear witness to this even though same effected my block. TEB001 (talk) 15:11, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I don't see what you are talking about. The page was longer than one sentence. Schminnte (talk contribs) 15:15, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is just a sentence and tags. An ‘in creation tag’ which I placed. An uncategorized tag and a stub tag by Onel5969. I followed the page and remember all events as I work on the article on my notepad. I hope admins Philknight and others can all see this. Kind regards TEB001 (talk) 15:29, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
It was not "just a sentence". You copied the entirety of the profile as noted by Schminnte above. Any other admin can see the deleted page and verify that this was not just one sentence. In any case, you can't copy one sentence either. You must writ the article in your own words. -- Whpq (talk) 16:05, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Whpq, Though I feel shocked at this testimony, I have started a number of creations and never made such blunder, thus my blind argument here on. If you (an administrator) say I did so, I must have made a silly error. It’s my first of its kind. I apologize and Thanks to everyone. Cc Schminnte. TEB001 (talk) 16:52, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Block Appeal Notification

edit

Hello Admins PhilKnight,and whpq.

Please reconsider my block appeal. TEB001 (talk) 12:20, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi TEB001, having reviewed 1 unblock request, I will leave it to my fellow admins to review the latest request. PhilKnight (talk) 12:38, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I would like to see a more detailed statement of how you would avoid making copyright infringements again beyond just a simple statement claiming it won't happen again. It's quite clear that you paste in source material and then fiddle with the wording based on your claim that the copyright violation you committed was "just a sentence" when it was a copy of the entire profile. Fiddling with words makes it a derivative work, and is still copyrighted. -- Whpq (talk) 13:35, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi whpq, You could see a couple articles I have started, As much as I still find my act disgusting, I’m still in disbelief I did that error, it’s typically unlike me.
.
Your initial warning on copyright infringement was specifically on media uploads, other interactions about certain details on articles I have created do not have any issue with copyrights and looking at other discussions on my Talkpage, it’s clear I take corrections & make clarifications where need be.
.
This violation is sincerely during my process of content aggregation. And I regret being too naive to acknowledge that I might have made an error hence my insistence that I created the article with just a sentence, I honestly wanted to start the article with that sentence & then expand the article.
.
Yes, most of my creations are on Wikiproject Turkey BLP, and starting the deleted article was also my effort to contribute to the womeninred project. I understand I made an inadvertent mistake, and restate with all assurances that I will do well not to let this repeat itself. TEB001 (talk) 13:59, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I Quit

edit

Hi, Admins Whpq, Philknight, and Z1720. . Thank you all, I do appreciate the works you all put in here. . I have to take a bow off Wikipedia editing, I will leave on a sweet-bitter note, happy to have contributed my little to wiki & history, sad to be forced out of here by a ban that may never be unresolved because the appeal reviewing admins want me to answer a question in a certain way or the other. . And to any editor who finds their way to my talk page and are reading this, please never make this mistake I made, take every policy as serious as you can. . Despite creating over 17 reviewed articles including Hafize Gaye Erkan, over 10 of them done in between 1 month. It is saddening to me that some Admins still believe I am naive of (WP:COPYRIGHT). . I quit. I do not intend to contribute, this is borne out of the frustrating declining of my sincere appeals. . I won’t fail to mention there’re lots of great guys here as well who I learned from, I still do appreciate. . From editing Wikipedia - I QUIT TEB001 (talk) 17:58, 11 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I apologize for not being able to respond earlier. I haven't been active on Wikipedia as I've only had spotty access to the internet for the past while. I don't want you to quite editing Wikipedia. I want you to not create any more copyright violations. I don't know how or why you ended up copying an entire profile, and my concern about unblocking is that you yourself don't know, nor have a plan to prevent it in the future. If you were to never paste anything when editing on Wikipedia, that would likely resolve this. -- Whpq (talk) 02:13, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Whpq.
I’m not one known with vandalism, I have also explained that this was an inadvertent mistake, one that has never happened before, I’m not a copy & paste editor, and I understand how costly my error was. I have also referenced all other articles I have created, and by so doing, I would want to believe that I have played all my cards, appealed for unblock twice, have 3 admins already involved and still no resolve, it only makes sense to note that I may have committed an irredeemable offense and should simply accept the consequences which now tilts towards quitting Wikipedia editing. I firmly agree that the activities of every admin is done in good faith and thereby do not hold any grudge. If I come on any day and see the ban lifted, I’ll feel good. Nonetheless, I appreciate all of the admins who have contributed to the resolution effort regardless of the negative outcome so far. Here’s the list of articles I created:
Ahmet Kavas,
Anambra South Senatorial District,
Ayşegül Kandaş,
Birnur Fertekligil,
Elif Çomoğlu Ülgen,
Faruk Kaymakcı,
Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK),

Hidayet Bayraktar,
Murat Karagöz,
Mustafa Gültepe,
Mustafa Hamarat,
Nur Sağman,
Tuba Nur Sönmez,
Turkish Exporters Assembly, and
Şenol Sunat.
On all these, I only had some issues on the images uploaded to some of their info boxes. How else would I explain to admins that my error was never intentional.

I was blocked by Whpq for copyright violation, I regret to have done so. It is not in my manner to copy and paste other people’s work, I have also worked on ways to let it not repeat itself especially by making sure nothing copied to my clipboard is pasted on Wikipedia, 2 of the articles I started were recently nominated to AfD, Despite my inability to contribute to the discussions, I am impressed that other editors did and that inspired my appeal, I have had my requests declined twice because the admins do not get convinced on my responses on not repeating the copyright violations. For the sake of this appeal, here are articles I started before my violation that resulted to my ban, all which did not violate except for wikimedia photo uploads which guidelines I am now familiar with.
