User:Yamla Hi! Respectfully, that's what I said. I'm sorry, but I kinda feel like you didn't actually read it, or at least that you're assuming bad faith from me. I was editing, using the library wifi, because I came across an extremely misleading passage in an article I was reading for personal research, which incorrectly implied that a deceased famous Holocaust survivor was a Nazi collaborator. I turned the wifi off because I was having connectivity problems, and found that my personal IP address was banned. I then penned the original unblock request, and then wrote a clarification to the post that I assume was the offending one, trying to clarify and apologize, not realizing that doing so would get me in trouble. I get why you proceeded to add this account to the ban, but can you give me permission to post within the IP address's talk page, so that the conversation can remain in one place?Tausami (talk) 13:13, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
The article Daniel Shenton has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ~~EBE123~~ talkContribs 20:14, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
Unblock request
editTausami (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I made a series of dumb mistakes and am now extremely blocked. Even if I can't get unblocked, I'd appreciate it if someone could talk to me about it. I don't know why I was originally blocked, but I did not find out immediately, because it was on my phone's IP address. Ignorant of this, I made further edits on wifi. When I noticed that my phone IP was blocked, I posted an unblock request on that talk page. I then posted an apology under the post that I thought might have triggered the block (although I still don't know), not realizing that this would get me in further trouble. Of course, all of this means that I'm a block evader, and now I'm extra blocked. I'm sorry for being such an idiot. I should have known better. I can't speak to the original block, because I still don't know why it happened. Can someone explain that one to me? And is there any conceivable way I can get mercy? Or should I just give up trying to improve the wiki pages I care about?
Decline reason:
Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 14:22, 12 December 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
