Testu
Hi. I see you've been here a while, but as no one else seems to have extended you an official Wikipedia welcome, let me belatedly take care of that now: Welcome!
Hello, Testu, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes ~~~~; this will insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Cheers, -- Infrogmation 15:31, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 01:37, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale
editHi, this is what you sent me:
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stagecoach trevor&wayne.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
However, there is no connexion whatsoever between Image:Stagecoach trevor&wayne.jpg and Image:B Gigli.JPG (your "image description page"). If this is a canned text you are sending out to other contributors as well, I'd just like to alert you to the fact that it has got a serious flaw in it.
Best wishes, <KF> 09:14, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

editAn image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Violette_Nozière_screenshot.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Man Is a Woman 1998 poser.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Man Is a Woman 1998 poser.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
Did you question a college yearbook photo of former Rep. Jim McCrery of Louisiana? If so, the yearbook is 1969, and all yearbook photos before 1977 are not under copyright. I tried to explain this over and over.Billy Hathorn (talk) 03:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Protectedimage.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:Protectedimage.jpg.
You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:44, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Conquest (1937 film). While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. PatGallacher (talk) 15:54, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
editHi. In Ritchie Blackmore, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Jenny Moss (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
