Take Care edit

edit

I reverted to addition of Universal Republic Records to the article. Label distributors, which Universal Republic is for Cash Money and Young Money, should be excluded, but they can be noted in the article's prose. Otherwise, it's just TMI in what should be a brief infobox. Dan56 (talk) 21:28, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Take Care. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Orphaned non-free media (File:Los extraterrestres.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Los extraterrestres.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 17 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Twitter as RS

edit

You mentioned in the revision history of the Black Adam (film) page that "Twitter is not an acceptable reference." It is not the case that Twitter is an entirely unacceptable source for information like this. The reason Twitter usually is not used as a source in this way is because it often comes from individuals, self-publishing their own posts and thus, their own information. Most Tweets are not reliable sources because they are akin to blog posts because of this. However, a tweet from Entertainment Tonight is not self-published, and thus does not fall into this category, much in the same way that their news articles do not fall into this category. The article is preferred, so it's good to have that cited now that it's available, but the tweet should not have been removed prior. It should have been cited using Template:Cite tweet, however. I personally don't know why the Infinite Wealth draft was declined. There are plenty of "upcoming" games that deserve articles especially a high profile one like this one. Maybe I'm missing something on policy related to this but I thought that applied mostly to films that haven't started production. Good work here. Reconrabbit 13:28, 27 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
