Draft: DC Comics Complete Reprint
Hello. Hopefully, this is a good place to leave a message.
The goal of the titular draft (that I hope becomes a webpage) is to help new comic fans or collectors quickly find comics to read. For instance, all Silver Age Flash comics spanned from Showcase #4- Flash #199. Having a webpage that allows readers to quickly locate comic collections that reprint all the comics within that Era would benefit. Some overlap, such as the Omnibus reprinting Showcase in black-and-white. But, the goal is to let readers know if they like a specific format, which character/team or age has a complete run. Does that clarify matters?
Hi there,
You gave some good comments on the draft of the TradeTech page before (including some valuable pointers on "solutions"). I have since amended the page. Would it be I impossible to spare a few minutes and give it another once-over? Apologies, appreciate you will be busy but any pointers are super helpful and very welcome.
Thanks so much and all the best.

I'll just edit the requirements on my user page, according to what you have mentioned. Please let me know if it's correct. Thank you!

- Your draft Draft:Triggo has no reliable independent sources, you have also created a similar draft on your user page which is not allowed, the fact that there exists an article on the topic in another language Wikipedia is irrelevant they are all separate and have their own guidelines. Rejection of CrossRealms Series Page
Hello, I would like to know why you felt this page, CrossRealms Series, was not suitable. You mentioned it was not widespread enough to gain inclusion. S.C. Principale's works have been on Amazon's best seller lists for short erotica and the CrossRealms series now has five titles as well as two others being published in 2021. Romance is the best-selling genre currently, with mystery being the second best, and this series combines both genres. Not only that, but the CrossRealms series includes not only straight characters but LGBTQ characters. All five books include messages that support gender equality. I understand that some people may not enjoy those genres, but numerous other authors and series in fantasy, romance, mystery, etc. have Wikipedia pages. So, can you please clarify why this series is being rejected and what I would need to do to get Wikipedia to consider it "worthy of inclusion"? Thank you Teachme23Teachme23 (talk) 19:08, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
- Teachme23 In order for an article’s subject to be considered notable by the Wikipedia community, we require that it receive significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject this is what you base an article on, your draft has no such sources only a link to Amazon which is not reliable or independent, sorry. Theroadislong (talk) 19:14, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
CrossRealms Rejection
Hi there, responding to your comment that the material must receive"significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject this is what you base an article on, your draft has no such sources only a link to Amazon which is not reliable or independent, sorry.
Actually, I also included a second link to GoodReads, which is independent and in no way owned by S.C. Principale or the CrossRealms series. I'll be happy to add other links. I'm curious as to why a link to the author's page would not be acceptable though, since it is where one would find a summary of each of the books? Wouldn't I need that, as well as the link from GoodReads or some other source, to establish that I'm providing an accurate description of the characters, storyline, etc? Are you saying I CANNOT use those links, or simply that I need to include others in ADDITION?
Thank you, Teachme23Teachme23 (talk) 19:21, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
- The author's page would be a primary source and cannot be used to establish any notability Goodreads is not a reliable source as it is user edited. Theroadislong (talk) 19:38, 27 December 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Branch Insurance
Hello Theroadislong! Thank you for taking a look at my submission. I appreciate the time you took and your critical eye. I will continue editing the article so that it meets the criteria for notability. I believe my mistake came from the fact that there are several other articles about companies in similar positions (e.g., Kin Insurance and Hippo (company)) with similar sources, that have been published on Wikipedia, so I thought that this would be sufficient. I had also started a draft on another insurer, Clearcover(though not submitted for review yet), but I'm concerned that that submission will suffer a similar fate to my one on Branch, because the sources will be similar. Is it your view that articles like Kin Insurance and Hippo (company) should not be published, and that therefore the ones on Branch and Clearcover shouldn't be either, assuming that the secondary sources will be of the same type? Thanks again! InsuranceLovers (talk) 20:00, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- Certainly Kin Insurance is tagged for notability and reading like an advert so to base another article on that one is pointless. See WP:OSE. Amazon, blogs and press releases are not suitable sources either. Theroadislong (talk) 20:32, 25 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong: Thank you. I have added references from the following sources, among others: TechOhio (a publication of the State of Ohio government), a research paper from the Milken Institute, Columbus CEO Magainze, Insurance Innovation Reporter, Colubmus Business First, Digital Insurance, Insurance Technology Professional Magazine and Insurance Journal. I'll be submitting for reconsideration. Thank you. InsuranceLovers (talk) 15:54, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong: Thanks for taking a new look at it. You wrote: "The promotional trumpery in the second paragraph is cited to their own website!" I don't see information about the structure of its underwriting as promotional trumpery. This information is meaningful and interesting to people interested in insurance. Would you suggest I remove this section or include a citation to a different source for it?InsuranceLovers (talk) 16:26, 28 December 2020 (UTC)
- the content is totally inappropriate and promotional, we have zero interest in what the company has to say about itself, do you have a conflict of interest by any chance?. Theroadislong (talk)
- @Theroadislong: I can't understand how information about reinsurance is inappropriate and promotional. For people in the insurance industry, this is important information. I have swapped out the citation for one to an article by Coverager which includes the same information. I do not have a conflict of interest. I have no relationship with Branch, Kin, Hippo, or ClearCover, or any of the other insurance companies' pages that I have edited or will edit in the future.
I am inclined to believe one statement made by Domnipal. They say that they had not been aware of the work done by the other two paid editors. I believe that. The agency who is employing Domnipal on behalf of Ellen Alexander didn't tell Domnipal that the other two paid editors had submitted an earlier draft. One version had originally been disambiguated, and the other had not been disambiguated. Any article will require disambiguation, because there is already a different Ellen Alexander. So their employer didn't give them adequate information. That isn't the fault of Domnipal, maybe, but it is the fault of the agency. It is Domnipal's fault that they insulted GSS. Resubmitting Arctic Wolf Networks Article Submission
Hi, Thank you for your feedback on my initial Arctic Wolf Networks submission. I edited the original submission to remove the "Leadership" section that might be considered "commercial" and did some other miscellaneous polishing. Note that I included the Deloitte Fast 500 award mentions along with the Gartner mention to substantiate that Arctic Wolf is a significant firm that justifies a Wikipedia entry. Arctic Wolf is a major player in managed security services industry according to Gartner and Forrester, the two major IT industry analyst firms. I think the article is neutral and compares favorably to other cybersecurity articles I read for reference like Secureworks and SentinelOne. If you have any issues, I would appreciate any specific comments you might have so I can address any issues. Best wishes for 2021! Cryptodd (talk) 23:59, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Gianfranco Iannuzzi
Hi I've been declined with my draft for the artist and art director "Gianfranco Iannuzzi" and I've received this message:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
I understand it, but I have a question about it: What kind of coverage do you need? Because the subject in question has his name mentioned in all of his works published, but all the interviews, articles and publications are mostly in papers and magazines. Online you can find a very little about it, only the "passing mentions" written above. I can have proofs, if are needed, scans of the articles, but online it is hard to find something long and useful all about the subject of the page, (not to mention an homonymous person). So, how many mentions do we need to validate the page? Or how much internet coverage?
Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Immersivearteditor (talk • contribs) 14:47, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

George Gadson Article - For Review
Hi Theroadislong,
I am enquiring about the Approval of Article for Creation "Artist George Gadson" (Submission at Articles for creation: George E. Gadson (September 5) Which was created as an article by Swan Communications, Inc.
I have created Articles for clients before and did not have to file a Disclosure. So I am curious if this is a new guideline, as well as there are many companies out there, that write Wikipedia articles for compensation.
I few points to note: I am Editing the Page now, however I did create it in the first place.
We are now seeking Approval for Publication and it has been in the works since September.
I don't want to say that I am being paid for this publication for financial stakes; as I am the Writer of this Article. I write all Mr. Gadson's work that requires Writing.
However, I don't feel that there is an undisclosed financial stake in promoting this subject, nor is the article promotional. It is a clear Wikipedia type review of this national artist's Life, and Work, with more than forty[five online sources and references. I don't consider this a promotional endeavor by any means. Mr. Gadson is a national artist with Encyclopedia worthiness and more than 20 year's in artworks, experience, market value. press and notoriety.
I would be thankful if you can let us know what necessary steps we can take soonest, to get this page published. It has been more than six months.
And also so that I may know if I am ever to write again for future clients, I can assess the pitfalls ahead of time.
Thank you so much, Swancomm13
- You say "We are now seeking Approval" Wikipedia accounts are very strictly for single person use, paid editing is allowed if grudgingly by some of us, undisclosed paid editing will almost always result in being blocked. Theroadislong (talk) 19:11, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

George Gadson Article - For Review
I said We, because I am his Writer. So single person use means that every Wikipedia item is written by the Subject? Presidents, Artists, Businesses, all write their own Wikipedia Entries? This is where I am confused.
There are a multitude of companies selling Wikipedia Article Submission. Do they all work for Wikipedia?
I have no problem Disclosing my Paid Writing. I write his words.
It is not an advertorial, which is usually where a journalistic conflict of interest arises. Hence my confusion.

- It appears you have entirely miss-understood how Wikipedia works you say "single person use means that every Wikipedia item is written by the Subject?" Virtually nobody writes their own Wikipedia article, people completely unconnected write the articles, we have zero interest in what the articles subject wants to say about themselves. User accounts are for single person use only, they are not to be shared with anyone else including the article's subject. You have conntinued to edit Wikipedia here without first making the required declaration on your user page, you are also abusing the system by editing with other accounts or whilst logged out. Ok, I need you to stop being RUDE and treating me like a criminal.
1. I didn't know that leaving messages in Talk was an Edit, because that is the only "Editing" I am doing!
2. I am trying to decide, by talking to Wiki Editors, whether it is worth it for me to continue to get this page Published, as it is Rejected and we are assessing the subject's Notability.
3. Sometimes when you note comes in, I may answer from my email, forgetting that I am not logged in, and then Log In.
That is the only interaction I am having with Wikipedia! I am not EDITING!
And why do you continue to NOT help and talk to me like a dog! How were you raised?!
I am not doing anything belligerently or criminally. I may make mistakes from not knowing, but I am trying to educate myself so that I can stay on track. And to do that, I have to talk to people who can help me, which many Wiki Editors who have now become involved are doing. Except YOU.

Request on 22:04:28, 7 January 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Madbradaustin
Thank you for your feedback on my submission. For a recording artist (music) most of the secondary sources will be music based such as biographical interviews, music profiles on music platforms, etc. Can you give an example or two that I can source for a suitable second source for this type of individual that IS acceptable? I've linked website articles, video and print interviews, news recaps of events, etc. I'm struggling to identify what that secondary source would be. eikoku roshukai page...
hi, I just realised the sample text I put in sounds more like an advert than a history narrative! I have no experience at this, so might need some help to link in to other pages etc... I would like it to end up something like the British Kendo association page, and also add some documents (as pdf's?) that people can read... I want to be able to link to Muso jikiden eishin ryu, but even the help page is a bit beyond what I understand about creating text on the web... any help appreciated...

Thank you for reviewing my draft and for making notations. I have edited the references and I trust the changes are what is needed. Thank you again for the constructive criticism as this is my first attempt at submission of an article to Wikikpedia.Pastormikeu (talk) 21:41, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Mother Teresa: The Saint and Her Nation
Thank you very much for reading the draft page. Mother Teresa: The Saint and Her Nation
Please note that all the information is correct and comes from the book published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2020: https://www.google.co.uk/books/edition/Mother_Teresa/0aL8DwAAQBAJ?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=alpion&printsec=frontcover
As you correctly note the information also available from Bloomsbury website: https://www.bloomsbury.com/us/mother-teresa-9789389165067/
However, I though it would be better if I referenced the google book website mentioned above.
Happy to take on board advice how to resolve this issue.

I would have been happy to edit the draft page according to instructions but you or someone else had deleted it. All that work has gone for nothing! Is it possible to retrieve the deleted draft? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Penestet (talk • contribs) 13:32, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- Penestet You copied and pasted copyright content from elsewhere, you cannot do that, an admin is unlikely to undelete it for that reason. Theroadislong (talk) 13:40, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
Thank you. This could have been easily rectified. The issue is can the draft page be retrieved so I can edit it accordingly. The excerpts from quotes were taken from the book and they were duly referenced. I do not mind starting the page afresh after a few weeks (I am afraid I am very busy these days) but it is a shame all that work yesterday went for nothing. I fully agree with your decision to delete the draft page, however. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Penestet (talk • contribs) 14:35, 8 January 2021 (UTC)

Article review
Hello Theroadislong ... i got the comment you left on the article contribution [Dratf:Chigan Madu] and i noticed the article was not approved for being notable...i followed all the notability guidelines before creating the article and the sources are verified sources and not a press release !! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grhodig2017 (talk • contribs) 17:06, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- You will need to demonstrate that you pass the criteria at WP:GNG. Theroadislong (talk) 17:15, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Two of the three sources currently in the draft are in fact the same press release. The third source (Vanguard) reads exactly like a press release as well – even if it's not a PR, it is still not independent since it is entirely promotional in tone, and built around quotes from Madu himself. --bonadea contributions talk

Draft:Thomas Joseph Scanlon
Hi:
Thanks for your comments on my draft page about my deceased father.
I am not sure how to respond to comments, so I just left a message for Modussiccandi after he declined the draft page on Thomas Joseph Scanlon, who died in 2015.
As my father was recognized internationally for his lifetime contributions to the study of disasters, and a book he wrote (Catastrophe: Stories and Lessons from the Halifax Explosion) was just published, I thought he met the standard for a Wikipedia page.
I tried to keep the page objective and all of the information is drawn from indicated sources or from his own memoirs, which are not published (which I assume might be a problem).
The question I asked Modussiccandi is whether I should edit out the information I took from my father's memoirs and only cite available sources. I was under the impression it was okay to write about someone I knew if I kept the information objective.
Thanks for any feedback as I'm not clear how or if to proceed.
Sincerely

I wanted saw that you recently reviewed my article but it was rejected, I have looked at some of your articles and I have to say you are a very talented writer😁. Recent Article on Clarke Waggaman
Thank you for your feedback on my recent article. This is my first wikipedia submission, so I have been having difficulty contributing on this platform, but am enjoying the learning process. I recently rewrote the majority of the article so that direct quotes were removed to avoid any copyright infringements. I also added more citations and articles to help strengthen the article's integrity. Draft: Tomos Roberts
Hello Theroadislong... It's only been one day since the draft was last declined, but that said, I've already removed approx. 33 links/references and I've significantly reduced the content of the draft - with much more to go. I've also removed many Wiki links within the body of the text as well as an entire section (which didn't belong). Please keep in mind that I'm a first responder and it's a very busy & dangerous time, so I'm only afforded so much time in the course of a day or night to edit the draft. I will address the YouTube links shortly, but I'd kindly ask for your indulgence.
Thank you,
Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 18:13, 14 January 2021 (UTC))
Hello Theroadislong... Update: I've removed the vast majority of the YouTube links, as requested. That said, I've spared a few because I believe they may be legitimate sources.
- 14 - CNN (YouTube)
- 31 - Constellation Dreamers (YouTube) ... This one's questionable, but perhaps?
- 33 - BBC London (YouTube)
- 39 - Sofar Sounds (YouTube) ... Perhaps questionable, but Sofar Sounds does have a Wikipedia page
- 40 - Fuse TV Manchester - Manchester University (YouTube) ... Perhaps?
- 44 - Britain's Got Talent (YouTube)
- 45 - Good Morning Britain (YouTube)
At your convenience, please let me know if any of these YouTube links can be used as references. Thanks for your patience!
Ryan (Ryancoke2020 (talk) 20:27, 14 January 2021 (UTC))
- I would not use any personally, I tend to think that if the content can't be sourced somewhere else then it probably shouldn't be included at all, but it certainly isn't forbidden to use YouTube in certain cases. Theroadislong (talk) 21:21, 14 January 2021 (UTC)

DREXSPORT, Wild Whey, Wild Muscle
Hi
Thank you for taking the time to review my pages so quickly. I was not in any way trying to fraudulently post any articles. I receive no direct or indirect payment from DREXSPORT. I certainly don't have shares in the company since it is not public and just a small business.
As a freelance editor, I came across the DREXSPORT webpage, and I was impressed. I do a lot of copywriting for people on Amazon (where I found DREXSPORT), but DREXSPORT is not compensating me. I deal with many Amazon sellers who sell just junk and go from one product to another. Yes, I know the owner and worked with him in the past. He is not paying me to post on Wikipedia. He is in his early 30s and built DREXSPORT from scratch. This year his company, DREXSPORT, is sponsoring athletes who cannot afford protein powder by giving free protein powder to 10 Indian athletes for free--a roughly $7,000 value. I think that is notable and honorable. DREXSPORT (the owner always wants to remain anonymous) is a special company--it is helping people. The owner was broke eight years ago, and now he is successful. He is a minimally educated Indian man who grew up in rural India. That sounds like the American Dream to me. His company is based in Wyoming.
I believe it's pretty special for him to sponsor athletes. He is very generous and wants to give back to his country. I think he deserves a Wikipedia page. Period. He is not paying me to post on Wikipedia. Actually, it was going to be a surprise.
I can see how the Wild Whey and Wild Muscle read like sales copy, but not the DREXSPORT article. I will take out links to Amazon. I thought I looked at Wikipedia's TOS carefully. Apparently, I missed something. This is on me. My goal is to make people aware of a small business and owner who beat the odds and gives to his community.
Please tell me what I need to do to change the DREXSPORT article so Wikipedia will publish it. I will forget about the two product pages. I wrote the article myself. No plagiarism was involved, and my intention was not to advertise. Tell me what to do to correct the error.
Thank you,

Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage. Your drafts had zero reliable sources and were written like advertisements. They were rejected and will not be considered further, I think you may have miss-understood what Wikipedia is about. Theroadislong (talk) 09:22, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) @LinneaReilly: I think you're putting the cart before the horse; Wikipedia articles do not exist to raise awareness of the subject, as you have hoped (
I think he deserves a Wikipedia page
), but only serve as a record of what makes subjects notable. No amount of editing can rescue a subject from a lack of notability. You may want to pursue alternative outlets to raise awareness, which could potentially have the side effect of reliable secondary sources writing about DREXSPORT. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 17:55, 15 January 2021 (UTC)
